Caffe Caffe

Came around 11am, after morning rush and before lunch, so not crowded at all. I got the greek wrap. Flavors were OK, dripping with oil and sitting in a puddle on the plate when I got it. It was just OK. But that and a diet coke costs $17.01. Doesn't come with any extra like a pickle spear or chips, none available for purchase either. A cup of soup or pastry item can be purchased to supplement your meal. I only visit when I am nearby and I need something. Better suited for meeting friends over coffee and pastries, which is their specialty.

Caffe Caffe has been here for a long time, but I had only been here a couple times until I started dating my girlfriend… she loves the place so we often come here for coffee before work. I can’t think of a single negative thing about this place. The coffee selection is diverse - hot, cold, and frozen, with plenty of varieties for hot and cold coffees. The frozen coffee is my fave, though - and goes best with breakfast (at least to me it does). What sets this place apart - and has earned it the extremely loyal clientele - is the food. They serve breakfast items, eggs, bacon, biscuits/croissants, breakfast sandwiches, and so forth. Every single item I’ve tried is absolutely terrific. And they cook the bacon how it is meant to be cooked: CRISPY! My personal favorite is the scrambled egg, cheese, and bacon in a spinach wrap. But the breakfasts are (again, to me) not the stars of Caffe Caffe’s food menu. They have an amazing selection of desserts, which are all made in house. Key Lime Pie, Lemon Icebox Pie, other pies and cakes, berries/yogurt/etc… I singled out the Lemon and Lime pies because they are my absolute favorites, I can’t get them too often (I’m a little fat 😂) but when I do, I savor every bite. The service is impeccable! The staff are always friendly, polite, and they are very fast. I’ve seen some of the same people for years - which indicates they know how to run a business correctly and have happy employees - which makes all the difference in the world. The atmosphere is usually lively, with no fluorescent lighting in the dining area. Good music is always playing, and extra credit for not playing Christmas music until after Thanksgiving. There is outdoor seating available as well, and that’s wonderful for those perfect weather days. There is plenty of parking, but the parking lot often fills up… I have been here when I had to park at the far end of the lot (closer to West Esplanade) but I can always find a spot someplace. This is one of my fave places to relax; great coffee, food, and service. I’ll continue to be a regular patron for as long as they’re here.

So, when I go home to New Orleans , I must visit Haydel's Bakery. If I can't, I head to Caffe Caffe! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 The turtles are a must-have!

This is supposed to be medium latter with 2 shots but i got flavored milk. You can obviously see in the picture that this is straight milk with no espresso. When I went to ask about it the girl at the counter was very rude and refused to make me a new one or add espresso shot. I had multiple people try it and they all said no coffee in the latte. Save your money and go literally anywhere else bc atleast thell put caffeine in there. Btw I was a barista so I would know.

I wanted something light for an early lunch. I tried the Avocado wrap and it was absolutely amazing! I told myself I was only going to eat half, but I couldn't help but to finish it off! I remembered to take a pic during the last few bites 😩🤣... The staff was super friendly. This was actually my first time here, and I highly recommend.

I have a family member in the Hospital and we called to place an order and a very rude lady answered the phone and even my family members with me could hear how she was speaking to me. It was worse in person..she was extremely sarcastic and condescending. She said she has worked there for 30 years. We have been going to Cafe Cafe for 30 years and never have we ever experienced anything like this. After speaking to me like a hearing impaired child when I had questions about the menu , made it difficult to understand her. I orderd a shrimp salad which she said only comes with shrimp and egg , and I said lettuce ?? and she said of course. I said please make sure there are no tomatoes. When I arrived there were tomatoes on my salad, I said I cannot eat them , she sarcastically said " oh maybe you have a allergy to them, I replied I do". Then she sarcastically said "OH SORRY"while she laughed.."would you like us to remove them" . I said No, I want the salad remade. So that was an ordeal and very unpleasant experience. Cafee Cafee is not cheap and to have to deal with a miserable rude employee is just not worth going there. They have a sign on the door Now Hiring, they need to get better, more caring people to represent their business.

Best avocado salad on the planet, with mango dressing. Have been coming here for 25 years and love every second of it.

I just can't find anything wrong with this with this place! Worst I have is that their Club Sandwich isn't actually a true club sandwich, but it's very good. That's it! That's the worst I can say. It's a winner! The food is always freshly prepared and great! And oh the bakery goods!! My, my, my!! Amazing!! The coffee is great and the atmosphere is good. The End! Go check it out! And by all means: Try the Turtles!! But leave a couple for me!!

What a hidden gem!! I grew up in the area and never knew about this amazing cafe. We popped in for lunch a few days after Christmas. The restaurant is in a strip mall just a few blocks from Veterans BLVD. You order at the counter and they call you up when the food is ready. There is a great choice of soups, sandwiches, salads, and DESSERT! I had the half chicken salad and corn crab soup. It was delicious! My brother had the Greek chicken wrap and it was yummy too. The peanut butter cookie was the perfect ending! It took me 49 years to find this gem but I'll be back often!

UPDATED REVIEW ADDED BELOW: Ok...so I'm here at Caffe Caffe on Clearview. I ordered a decaf coffee that came out cold and old. ...which isn't a big problem. I ordered a replacement cup. This lady came to the table and got the one I had and said she needed to take that one....who does that? So, now I have a problem with Caffe Caffee. That's so unprofessional. UPDATE: I am still sitting at Caffe! Caffe! working on my computer. The previously mentioned coffee issue has been resolved. As with many things in life, it turned out to be a simple miscommunication. The lady and I spoke about it and discovered that there was no ill intent involved. Overall, the situation was resolved with professionalism and compassion - demonstratrating a prime example of strong customer service and great integrity. I'll definitely be returning.

The place has some really nice salads, desserts, and coffee. They also have long hours which is good if you want any of those 3 items since most bakeries and coffee shops all close well before 7pm. There is a second location on N. Hullen, which I have not been to yet, that does close early at 3pm. Desserts - They have gigantic turtles here! They also have one of the best key lime pies in the area, and I also enjoyed their creme brulet. Coffee - is creamy and delicous, they must have a double espresso machine to get it so silky creamy Salads - my go to is the avacado. I do have one gripe about it though. I wish the grilled chicken on it was not some shaved, cold cut sliced style chicken. I wish it was nice warm, rotisserie chunk style chicken. Other than that, it is one of the best salads, especially since my beloved Cafe Fresca closed taking the worlds greatest avacado with house dressing with them. Parking is great, bathrooms are clean, service is friendly, and I love the hours.

One of my new favorite lunch spots. Had the grilled chicken sandwich and it hit the spot! The service was quick with my online order and the place is the cutest on the inside!

I really like this neighborhood gem. It is my go-to spot for coffee in the mornings when time allows. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. My favorites on the menu are: the breakfast biscuit in the AM, Chicken salad on pita with sprouts for lunch, and the cheesecake is my favorite for dessert. It's a pretty busy place, but the ambiance is really laid back for the amount of business happening around you. Stop in there and try one of my favorites that I listed. You will thank me after!

I love Caffe Caffe! The food is always solid- chicken salad, soups, muffuletta, wraps, and breakfast are all good. The people are friendly and the coffee and desserts and great as well. The iced tea is also fantastic.

Love caffe caffe! Great cafe with delicious coffee and great breakfast and lunch. They also have good pastries, cakes and cookies. I love their salads and chicken salad. My favorite is the avocado chicken salad with mango vinaigrette!

I got the shrimp salad sandwich on the spinach wrap and it was great. You can tell the shrimp wasn't just boiled, it was well seasoned and it wasnt too heavy on the mayo. The desserts also look amazing, I got the turtle. I meant to take a picture of the wrap but ate it too quickly, sorry!

Don't put mayonnaise on a sandwich that is supposed to have honey mustard. I normally love the place, but this is unforgivable.

Super super cute little casual restaurant for a quick meal. Food was good. Wraps, salads and desserts. The coffee was meh. I asked the barista where they got their coffee beans and he just told me the types of coffee available. I wanted to know if they were using French Press Beans, French Truck Beans, illy Beans.. but alas, I guess he didn't understand my question. We got the muffuletta sandwich and the chipotle chicken wrap. I was thoroughly surprised and happy with the meal... would definitely come back again for a lunch date.

I really like this place for Metairie! The food is good. The place is clean. The staff is always helpful and very nice! It is a sandwich, salad, soup place. They make really good salads! The food tastes fresh and is a much better option than the fast food they have all over Metairie. I wish they had organic ingredients, but what do you expect from a place in Louisiana.

So far every time I've been here it has been nothing but a PLEASANT EXPERIENCE. I'm always greeted with warm smiles and great attitudes. I'm thanked when I'm leaving. The food is always great and fresh.

Everything is fantastic, except when they get your coffee wrong, twice in a row. Thanks for making my decision to quit coffee so easy. I'll be honest they have great coffee n staff. Im just having a bad day with the worst way to start it up, by fucking up my coffee.

An old Metairie staple. You know how in every city or town there's that special place all the locals go because of the homemade recipes and the familiar, smiling faces? This is Caffe! Caffe! Every single person here is genuine and kind, and the customer service is unparalleled. The food they're best known for includes their Avocado Salad with mango dressing (add grilled chicken), Greek salad, grilled Caesar pita, cheesecake (best in the city IMHO), chicken or shrimp salad sandwich on croissant (ask for a side of poppyseed dressing), and I'm sure to be forgetting something. This is my go-to place for coffee or lunch.

Take-Out Review: We were looking for a quick grab-and-go cafe place around the Metairie area, and stumbled upon this location searching Apple Maps. Since we didn't actually dine-in, I'm not comfortable discussing the interior ambience, but will talk about the coffee and food. I got a small vanilla latte, and was very satisfied with the result. Just the right sweetness and coffee levels for me in a vanilla latte, and not too hot to burn my tongue first sip, but warm enough to last me the next 20. The croissant and cream cheese, though, was underwhelming, with the croissant not being as warm as I would've liked, and a lack of crispness and flakiness I desired means I unfortunately cannot recommend that specific dish.

Food is good. Desserts are even better. I have been going to this cafe for over 20 years, but am only rating it a 3 because I have never felt as though the employees were really all that friendly. I always chalked it off to them just being super busy - until my last visit when I was truly mortified by the way I heard a long time employee speak to someone across the counter. Without going into detail I would just like to say that it was incredibly harsh and unnecessary. This was about a month ago and I can still feel the sting of her words. I generally do not post to Yelp, but hoped this information might reach someone beyond management because I fear the rude employee may be part of the management team.

Was told breakfast is not served after 10 am. 2 older gentleman sat down after 10:25 and were served breakfast. I guess if you're special enough. Kinda think these people who work here are lazy and don't really want to please customers.

Had a delicious greak ceasar wrap. It was better than I expected. I finally tried the key lime cheesecake. It was delicious as well! It is best to go early or later since sometimes you have to wait for a table during the lunchtime rush. You order at the counter, and they will call your number when it's ready. Hot coffee is so-so, very good real ice tea.

I have been there several times for desserts. And they are very good. However toddy I went and ordered a ham and turkey club. It had a razor thin slice of ham, a razor thing slice of turkey, 1 piece of lettuce on sliced fry sourdough bread. The worst sandwich GI or $10,49. I could have had a better and cheaper sandwich at Subway, Giorlandos or Jimmy Johns. I will NEVER eat a meal there again! NO ONE SHIULD!!!!

Perfection, got hungry while running errands, was gonna stop at a chain when a friends voice said skip the chain; had been to caffe caffe before always delicious Today went beyond hitting the spot; the most delicious scrambled egg and cheddar cheese biscuit, and always love their medium coffee, flavor changes and love that variety!

Best breakfast place in Metairie hands down with the best variety on the menu. Wish the cheese and egg croissants stay on the menu the full day instead of cutting off at 10:30

A metairie staple! The perfect place for a quick lunch. All of their salads and sandwiches are great but I really enjoy the tuna on croissant, the chicken Caesar pita and the avocado salad. I wish they would return the Roquefort salad to the menu. The teas are always fresh and the caffe freeze is a great treat!

Super disappointed with their take out service. I called to place an order and when I got there my order was not ready even though they weren't busy. In fact, they didn't start making my drink until I got there, which defeats the point of calling ahead of time, right? I wouldn't bother placing an order to go unless you have ALOT of time to wait for it.

ive been coming here for years and ill never stop. the caffe freeze is the best frozen coffee ive ever had. they have the best pastries-- the banana nut bread is my favorite

I really wanted to love this place. It's a local gem. My first time ordering today and I'm just not super impressed. First, I placed a curbside pick-up order (the only option available). I followed directions and parked in a curbside pick-up spot when I arrived. I waited for a few minutes longer than my designated pick-up time, bc I completely understand places or busy and short-staffed. After a little bit, I called to make sure I was in the correct spot, etc. to which I was told I was, and that they usually try to watch for customers to pull-up but they miss them sometimes. Ok fine, no big deal. But then I asked how long my food was sitting, and she said it's not sitting and it would be brought out once it was done. Not even a minute later, my food is brought to me, so clearly it had been sitting. I get home (I live about 2 minutes away) and what I was worried about happening did. My food had indeed been sitting there. My soup was cold. Food: I ordered the Brazilian Shrimp soup and oh my lawd it was amazing. As I said, it was cold bc it has been sitting, but whatever, I just re-heated it and it was actually really good. Seriously, I'd go back for just the soup. I also ordered the Caesar chicken wrap (half pictured below)... I had bitten into the other half before this review. It was eh. I ordered and paid extra for Swiss cheese to be added - I didn't see/taste that. Also, the dressing was not on the wrap. It was served on the side. I wish the menu would have mentioned this, because this kinda ruined it. I had to dip it (which made it fall apart) or pour it across before each bite. So the chicken and inside of the wrap was not covered in the dressing. Kinda defeats the point of a chicken Caesar wrap. ‍ the dressing is amazing though, so maybe next time I'll just get the salad itself. Then, the random orange slices that the wrap was served on top of? I've never seen this before. I love oranges but a - that wasn't mentioned in the description on the menu and b - the part of my wrap that was sitting on the oranges now had a not so pleasant orange taste to it. Like I said, I wanted to love this place. People rave about it and there has to be a reason. I'll give it another try (seriously, the soup!), but definitely not for pick-up.

We've been here before, and this visit was more of the same general goodness. I had an egg salad sandwich with bacon and it was a good amount of salad on the whole grain bread. Very tasty. the BLT of course is always good. We purchased a Choc-o-lot cake to go and ate it at home at our leisure for the next 4 days. It is not a super sweet cake, but great with a cup of milk or coffee. The only down side was the Iced Cappuccino. In my opinion...........not great. Everyone has an opinion. The lemon ice box slice of cake was a good size and great taste. Nice atmosphere when it's not busy.

Great café! Amazing chicken salad and homemade soups. Dessert servings in some places are often too costly but here they are really good, and shareable. I go every time I get a chance.

Very busy lunch spot on the week days for people that work around there. Basic cafe fare. The sandwiches are around $8 and don't come with anything so it can get pretty pricey for lunch. The food was fine, nothing to write home about. I never get excited about coming here but my family does for the cake selection. However, it's not a guaranteed menu so they might not have anything you want.

White egg wrap on Everything Bagel Orange Juice. Just excellent... everything here is excellent.

I think that Caffe Caffe (both locations) has the best soups in the city. My favorite is the Brazilian Shrimp. It's rich and creamy, with a hint of coconut, and It's always served piping hot with a few garlic crostini strips. As far as their sandwiches go, my favorite is by far the shrimp remoulade. It's offered as a wrap on the menu, but there's never a problem if I want it on wheat toast. Then there are the salads. The avocado salad is delicious. It's full of good things - Gorgonzola, fresh, ripe avocados, red onion, walnuts, orange slices and it's served with a mango vinaigrette. It's a very large salad, and I always manage to clean my plate. If you have a sweet tooth, please give their desserts a try. They have everything from petit fours to cookies to amazing cakes to eclairs. It's a great spot to have lunch with your girlfriends. The noise level isn't crazy loud, but it's not super quiet, so you can feel comfortable speaking above a whisper and laughing out loud. My only minus for Caffe Caffe is the parking. They share their lot with a couple other businesses, so it fills up at lunch time. You can alleviate the parking problem by going a little early or a little late.

I've heard such great things about this place! On a Friday evening I decided to come and give it a try! The atmosphere is so cute, and the service was great. I LOVED the Christmas decor they had all throughout the cafe. They have such an amazing assortment of salads! I decided to get the grilled chicken salad and it was so good. It was huge! And only 10 dollars! I couldn't even finish my whole salad because it was so big, (which is a first for me lol). They also have delicious coffee and desserts! On the menu, they have soups and sandwiches that looked yummy too. I definitely will be heading back! I loved everything!

I love this location. The salads and sandwiches are fresh and tasty with great combinations. Most recently I tried the shrimp salad and it was so good. Baked goods here are tempting and they always have angel food cake, a favorite of mine. They have extensive coffee and tea options and always have an optioned if an iced herbal tea that I enjoy. This location is less crowded than the other, although the food is the same. Everything is homemade and service is efficient despite being frequently busy. A great lunch spot always!

Very disappointed in that the Saturday morning breakfast platter was of warmed up eggs and sausage plus biscuits. Only the grits were hot but very creamy with little taste. All utensils were throwaways - plate, coffee cup, bowl, fork and spoon. Eatery was just a fast food place with tables and chairs. Would not recommend to anyone.

Love love love this caffe! I've only been coming here for about 18 years. Pick up a frozen or iced coffee, stop by for late night giant slice of decadent cake or have it all over a long lunch. My favorite menu item is the avocado salad with grilled chicken. The mango dressing they serve with this is just delicious ! Everything is fresh and wonderful. This weekend I picked up a small catered avocado salad with grilled chicken ($55). I had ordered this to feed 14 women. We had plenty left over ( also served this salad as a side and not the main course- but it really does go a long way). It comes beautifully present and they provide disposable salad serving utensils.

Always delicious! I love their drinks and their sandwiches. It's a quick, easy meal. I enjoy coming here for a fast breakfast or brunch.

The best sandos and wraps! My favorite is chipotle chicken wrap and I adde avocado and bacon. My husband says the turkey ham club is in the top 5 best sandwiches he's ever had! Desserts are on point too.

Today, a family friend treated me to lunch at Cafe Cafe, and it was an excellent experience. I've actually been here a few times before over the past ten years, and I can't say that I've ever had a bad experience. The breakfasts are hot and fresh, and the salads for lunch are pretty and tasty. Today, I had the Roquefort salad with blue cheese, tomatoes, eggs, bacon, and a vinaigrette. Each ingredient was laid out in colorful, contasting rows over a generous portion of romaine lettuce. I LOVE roquefort, and all of the ingredients in the salad complimented the taste of the cheese. I also like that they offer an herbal iced tea since I don't drink caffeinated beverages. The herbal tea for today was berry flavored. It was refreshing, but not overly fruity. I was really happy to see that it came unsweetened. Sandwitches and soups are also offered for lunch, along with a few wraps for those who want a lower carb meal. The service is always really friendly and efficient, and the interior is bright, clean, and welcoming. The creamy yellow walls are nicely illuminated by ample windows on all sides of the cafe. When you walk in, there is a long bar where you can order to go or to dine in. Since servers do not really wait on tables, the staff is really focused and making sure you get your delicious meal as quickly as possible, along with drinks and pastries. Speaking of pastries, the creme brulee here is an absolute must have if you are looking for a little personal indulgence that won't make you feel overly full after your lunch. As for location, it's conveniently located a few blocks from Roberts market, and it isn't far from Veterans and Clearview Mall. If you ever want to catch a matinee, this is a great place for lunch before or afterward. There are also two drug stores and a gardening center within a block. This is why Cafe Cafe is always packed! Great location, food, ambiance, and service.

Let me preface this by saying I absolutely love the salads and desserts from Caffe Caffe! However, today I ordered lunch for me and my husband. And, not being a salad lover, my husband ordered the ham and turkey club sandwich which is $9.45. Well, what he got was not a $9.45 sandwich! It was no more than an inch thick, with only 2 slices of bread instead of the traditional 3 slices. Come on Caffe Caffe! You can do better than that!

I have been a loyal customer as I live in the neighborhood but today the food and service was really poor. The sandwich had almost no turkey on it and the soup was just heavy cream, no shrimp or coconut flavor as it says it is. I went to the cashier and told her about this and her response was "sorry I can't take it back once you tried it". Unbelievable for a place where customer service and food has been great before. I will certainly hesitate to return here and will prefer to try other lunch places.

This is a really pretty coffee shop. And the staff ‍ are so friendly and local. And MAN!! The best Egg n' Bacon Wrap I have ever had. They were on point!! The coffee is amazing as well!! I will definitely be back for more! And it is very affordable. I had the egg wrap and coffee and it only cost me $7.95 together! Bring your friends !!

Stopped here because I wanted some healthy options for lunch. I ended up choosing the Caesar salad and chicken salad sandwich. The salad was the best salad I have had eating out in a while. The chicken salad was good too. I was there on a Saturday, late morning so it very busy. You stand in line to order your food then have a seat. I think it took less than 15 min for our food to be prepared once we ordered which is not bad. I noticed they have a lot of baked pastries and such. I made a note to return on my diet cheat day because I def would like to try some. Customer service there is ok.

We have driven by often, and I have always been curious about this place. Our friends suggested it, so we took them up on it. We stopped in for dessert. They have a very large display case full of many cakes and pies to choose from. The cakes are huge! We split a piece of the Pumpkin Cheesecake and the Apple Praline Pie. Both were excellent. We noticed a lot of people coming in for holiday desserts that they had ordered for Christmas. Bustling place! They offer lunch items like salads and wraps too. It all looked yummy. Nice place! We will definitely be back.

Have been eating here for 5 years but the rent must have gone up on them because they wanted to charge me extra to put condensed milk in my Vietnamese coffee. Which tasted like plain iced coffee. Their tuna salad isn't as good as it used to be, and it is probably due to cheaper ingredients. Toasted sandwich taste more like stale bread. The prime tome was probably 3 years ago, and it's sad to see it be just another cafe with food and cake.
