"The party is over before it started at Cafe Coretto closed before it could get off the ground. Owners Colin Vickery and Leah Blewett blamed the decision on 'ongoing building repairs' in a statement. The business opened in June, but two months later, a gas leak forced the owners to close. The cafe never reopened." - Luke Fortney

LOVE this place. Feels friendly and home-y in every way - a neighborhood gem. The food is FRESH, you can taste the love. The marinara sauce is perfection. The bar is intriguing as It’s not your run-of-the-mill big brand boring stuff. There is a merit here as the bar is filled with fun and exciting options. Pastries are ridiculous-you gotta try the chocolate caramel biscotti-it’s seriously incredible. Love the food, the friendly staff and the feeling of it all. I’ll definitely be going back again soon.

This intimate Italian neighborhood restaurant has a unique style with meaning behind much of what you see. Homemade pasta dishes are delicious, the grilled lamb skewers are a definite MUST (as an appetizer or accompanying a pasta dish), we enjoyed our wine and the home-made sodas are refreshing with their own zing of a flavor (we tried the ginger ale and lemon/lime). The staff are attentive with a sense of humor. So good, I came back the next day with a friend.

Went for dinner for the first time and it has great vibes, fantastic food and good wine. Be sure to get the pesto stuffed burrata on top of grilled focaccia - it is amazingly delicious. For the main dish, I had the Pappardelle Corretto with a lamb skewer addition which was perfect. Started with a glass of the 1925 Prosecco and then went with a bottle of Terra Damia which went perfectly with the pappardelle. Be sure to get a tiramisu and a panna cotta for dessert. The meal ended with homemade limoncello which was a nice touch. I can't wait to try this place for breakfast and lunch.

Fantastic addition to our block. This is a very welcoming space with friendly staff and great, fresh food. The Bread Basket is a must to start. Looking forward to coming back for lunch and dinner regularly. Also very accommodating for vegetarians (me) and dairy-free people (my partner), with a decent selection of dishes not requiring any substitutions or anything to meet dietary rules. I had the maccheroni. Never knew a single noodle could be so long. But you learn something new every day!

Effortless and delicious - the food is divine, the space is casual, and the staff are welcoming. This is our new go-to spot in the neighborhood. We discovered it 3 weeks ago and have already been back 3 times.

After an exciting day in NYC with friends we had dinner at this lovely restaurant that exceeded my expectations! From beginning to end the experience took me back to my trip to Italy. The wine, appetizers, house made pasta and gelato for dessert were all delicious! The friendly, efficient service and atmosphere made this an awesome experience! You simply must try it!

Yelp
Amazing gem! Each dish an explosion of flavor! Burrata with pesto and foccacia, my fav! Each pasta dish unique and memorable. Try the Carbonara@ Lovely Amari choices. Dessert choices surprising and delicious! We had a smart, attentive, engaging server who never let us want for anything. It's small, but not too loud, with a feeling of home. Gotta try!

Yelp
A great addition to the neighbourhood. I love their aesthetic and trying to bring Italian style cafe culture to New York. Good coffee and breakfast. Will definitely be back for dinner.

Yelp
My new favorite neighborhood cafe. Actual good coffee, comfy interior, nice staff. Haven't had dinner here yet, but this is my go-to coffee spot now. And unlike most cafes in the area, you can sit comfortably and read while sipping your morning fuel.
