9 unique cafés in Singapore that will make you feel like you're overseas - SilverKris

"A casual Italian spot along the Singapore River with indoor and alfresco seating and sweeping views of Marina Bay Sands, furnished with plush leather lounges and wood accents that evoke a fashionable Italian café. The menu leans on classic and shareable plates: Sicilian Arancini with saffron and spicy tomato sauce, Burrata served with green tomatoes, lime and fermented chilli, Mafaldine Cacio e Pepe seasoned with parmesan and pecorino, and an Octopus dish served on smoked potatoes with chickpeas and parsley. Cocktails such as spritzes and moody negronis pair well with these nibbles and mains." - Rachel Eva Lim

Had such an amazing meal here last Saturday as part of our honeymoon in Singapore. The view of Marina Bay was incredible and we were able to see the fountain show from across the bay. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and attentive. Would 100% recommend and will visit gain when we return to Singapore from the UK.

Caffe Fernet is the kind of place that makes any evening feel like a celebration. With its stunning waterfront location, the views of Marina Bay are absolutely breathtaking — especially at sunset when the skyline starts to glow. It’s effortlessly chic yet relaxed, making it perfect for a special occasion or a memorable night out. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely hospitable, striking the perfect balance between professional and personal. They walk you through the menu, offer spot-on recommendations, and make sure you’re looked after from start to finish. The food is modern Italian with bold flavours and elegant presentation — fresh pastas, great cocktails, and beautiful plating all round. The atmosphere, paired with the view and exceptional service, makes Caffe Fernet a standout in the Singapore dining scene. Highly recommended for date nights, celebrations, or just treating yourself to a gorgeous evening out.

This is a wonderful place to enjoy a delightful dinner in a relaxed and romantic atmosphere. The cafe boasts breathtaking views, thanks to its stunning waterfront location and the vista of Marina Bay. At night, you can admire the beautiful lights illuminating the entire area. The staff here are also really attentive, and food is served at an acceptable pace. The food here I can say are more towards modern Italian dishes. 🍝🍕🇮🇹. Tastes good as well. Will definitely recommend this place for a nice romantic dinner with a special person.

The ambiance was great. I went to celebrate my birthday, and the restaurant kindly served a birthday cake, which was very impressive. The staff provided excellent service, especially Shawn, who was attentive, caring, and really lovely. I will definitely come back here again.

Loved it from the process of reservation to the end of dining with them for early dinner 😋 they initially did not have a slot for the timing that we wanted to eat there but they were so friendly about it and were able to reserve us a slot on 26 July 🎉 the food was really tasty especially the buratta and carbonara~ service from all of the waiters and waitresses was really great too ! Have to thank Kan Tun for serving us the food, checking up on us, being friendly and helping us take pics on both of our birthdays ! Views were superb as well ! Thank you againnn~

Went to Caffe Fernet on a Sunday and honestly had such a lovely evening! We got seated in the area that was a bit warm (thankfully there were big fans, but it could still use a little more ventilation 😅) but view was perfect. That aside, the food was tasty, the drinks were perfect, and the service completely made our night. Our server Nicole was amazing! super attentive, friendly, and just such good vibes all around. We ended up chatting with her quite a lot! She was thoughtful enough to let us know about portion sizes before we ordered too much, which we really appreciated. Even though we asked her for a bunch of things throughout dinner, she was always patient and kind, and we never felt rushed at any point. It was such a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. If you’re planning to visit, come for the phenomenal service and great drinks. The food was good, though I was hoping for just a bit more “wow”. Still, it was an awesome night overall, thanks to the wonderful team and especially Nicole! 💫

Yelp
I love it here! The staff is great and very accommodating. I love the view and really enjoy the opened restaurant concept. They have a really nice happy hour and it can get quite busy during the week. We had a large party of about 10 or so and they were on point with timing of the meals and the portion sizes were good as well. The staff even asked if there were any dietary restrictions, which was very much appreciated. We had so much, I can't even remember everything and some of the entrees are no longer being served as the menu changes. VEAL MEATBALLS san marzano tomato, ricotta, basil 21- very filling, easily one is plenty! MARINATED CALAMARI sun-dried tomato, fennel pollen 17- you can never go wrong with Calamari, cooked perfectly! AHI TUNA TARTARE calabrian chilli, green onion, sesame 21- light and full of flavor!

Yelp
My second time visiting caffe fernet, this time for dinner. We were seated in a far back corner which wasn't too bad since there was a fan and even though it wasn't at the water edge we still had a pretty good view of the bay and MBS. We ordered cacio e Pepe ($26), pompano piccata ($42), and burrata ($24). For drinks a friend and I shared the watermelon frose pitcher ($68). My favourite was the burrata with green tomatoes and lime. The tomatoes were kind of spicy and were sort of like tomatillos, went really well with the creamy burrata. The piccata isn't something I would usually order but it was very good as well, the skin was crispy and I loved the trout caviar on top. Service wise- we didn't have the best experience. Understand that they were very busy and I think it might have partly been because our table was tucked in the corner but we were trying to flag down someone for more than 10 minutes with no success. Eventually my friend had to get up to get someone to wait on our table. They were very apologetic though and gave us a free dessert (honey cake) to compensate which we were very grateful for

Yelp
Great view and great service! The lunch set is a bit pricey; but if you think you're paying for the amazing view of marina bay sands, then it's worth it!

Yelp
This is another place that had been on my list to hit! I was craving pasta on a Friday evening and made my way down to the waterfront. As soon as I walked in, the ambiance was really nice. I had a wine slushy (!) first because I was so hot and then ordered a glass of red wine from the Happy Hour menu. The bartender recommended the homemade sausage and smoked ricotta pasta (something alone those lines) and it was nice and savory and salty, which is what I wanted. I And, the views were pretty sweet! I look forward to trying more goodies from here!
