Caffe Fernet

Tried their Christmas special Pumpkin Agnolotti — omg, it was so good! The pasta skin wasn’t too thick, and the pumpkin filling was perfectly balanced and flavorful. The Parmesan potatoes were nice, the clams were good, and the Tagliatelle Bolognese with Wagyu was satisfying. The Norwegian salmon was decent but nothing too surprising. The staff were extremely friendly and even offered to use their film camera to take photos of us while we were celebrating a birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch. Overall, definitely worth a visit — great food, a beautiful city view, and perfect for a city stroll after the meal.

Dinner with wife on a Friday night. Made a 730pm reservation but arrived quite a bit earlier so they sat us at the high stools for drinks first. Happy Hour until 730pm so we each got a wine for $14. The red was mediocre but the white was pretty good. Moved to a proper table at around 730pm, and ordered food. Wanted to order the angelhair Cantonese and an Angus steak sirloin, but they didn't have the former even though it was Friday, so ordered the tagliatelle bolognese and porchetta Romana instead. Food was decent but not fantastic. The tagliatelle was a tad brittle, and the porchetta had crispy skin and tender meat, but a bit too fatty. Also had a tiramisu which was good. Total came up to about $150. Service was exceptionally good. The staff checked in on us regularly and were very helpful. Complimentary water was served. At the end of the meal, I gestured for more water but they misunderstood it as more wine so they brought me a new glass. When I clarified that I wanted more water instead, they waived the charge without hesitation. Ambience was open and faced marina bay, with a great view.

Amazing experience at Caffe Fernet - great food, excellent service. Ordered the burrata, sirloin steak & crab aglio olio for 2 pax to share. Burrata went really well with the tomatoes, their pesto was fresh and savoury - it stood out! The crab aglio olio was indeed a favourite, packed with real crab meat in a huge portion. Steak was served medium rare as requested & wasn’t dry. The service was impeccable as the staff was attentive and friendly. To top it off, they even served a birthday dessert along with a card with a handwritten message. It was a nice gesture to print out the photo. :) Definitely will recommend this place to friends and family! Bonus: Enjoyed the view of MBS from the restaurant.

Caffe Fernet offers a great view of the bay, and is definitely and ideal lunch/dinner location with good Italian food selection together with a proper bar serving quality cocktails and spirits. Its not a place to rush through dinner, but rather a place where its best if you could take your food and drinks over a course of a couple of hours, taking in both the sights and sounds while filling your stomach and liver. Food was definitely on point, with good taste profile across all the items we ordered which included the potatoes, burrata, Carbonara (which actually uses the proper guanciale). Burrata served with heirloom tomatoes and pesto sauce went great together as a starter, and potatoes with truffle, shaved cheese and mayo was a good snack that is more enjoyable and does not feel lazy like the typical truffle fries you'd find in most restaurants now. Overall, do expect the prices to be slightly higher (which is not unexpected for the restaurants within that area) but the view and quality of food does deliver. Cheers!

A little late but had a great Christmas dinner here. Atmosphere was a vibe- do avoid lunch time if u aren’t a fan of the heat, cos it’s semi alfresco hence can really get hot then.. found it a little unbearable at the in between timing too.. However the food and drinks were really the factors keeping this restaurant running. Appetisers were the winners as well as the tiramisu. Try this out if u are into riverside dining.

Had the lunch set with tiramisu. All the dishes were great and the cacio e pepe with mafaldine was the highlight. Great choice of pasta! The tiramisu also has a hint of alcohol, as tiramisu should.

The view at night is simply amazing and beautiful. The quality of the food is also really good , just a tad bit dry. The atmosphere , the vibes, everything was great. But I can’t emphasise enough on the service I received at the restaurant. Shoutout to Chris, who helped with all of our questions and helped us with anything we needed! And shoutout to Alicia , who helped us take many photos and even printed out a polaroid and helped us make a card for our 7th monthsary! The two of them really made it a 5 star experience. I would really recommend coming here if you’re a couple looking for a nice spot with nice views and good service.

Fantastic New Year’s Eve celebration! The service was exceptional, friendly, attentive, and seamless throughout the night. Our glasses were never empty, with staff constantly checking in and offering drinks. The atmosphere was buzzing, with a great DJ building the excitement all the way to midnight. And the view… absolutely unbeatable. 10/10. Thank you for a memorable night!

I love it here! The staff is great and very accommodating. I love the view and really enjoy the opened restaurant concept. They have a really nice happy hour and it can get quite busy during the week. We had a large party of about 10 or so and they were on point with timing of the meals and the portion sizes were good as well. The staff even asked if there were any dietary restrictions, which was very much appreciated. We had so much, I can't even remember everything and some of the entrees are no longer being served as the menu changes. VEAL MEATBALLS san marzano tomato, ricotta, basil 21- very filling, easily one is plenty! MARINATED CALAMARI sun-dried tomato, fennel pollen 17- you can never go wrong with Calamari, cooked perfectly! AHI TUNA TARTARE calabrian chilli, green onion, sesame 21- light and full of flavor!

My second time visiting caffe fernet, this time for dinner. We were seated in a far back corner which wasn't too bad since there was a fan and even though it wasn't at the water edge we still had a pretty good view of the bay and MBS. We ordered cacio e Pepe ($26), pompano piccata ($42), and burrata ($24). For drinks a friend and I shared the watermelon frose pitcher ($68). My favourite was the burrata with green tomatoes and lime. The tomatoes were kind of spicy and were sort of like tomatillos, went really well with the creamy burrata. The piccata isn't something I would usually order but it was very good as well, the skin was crispy and I loved the trout caviar on top. Service wise- we didn't have the best experience. Understand that they were very busy and I think it might have partly been because our table was tucked in the corner but we were trying to flag down someone for more than 10 minutes with no success. Eventually my friend had to get up to get someone to wait on our table. They were very apologetic though and gave us a free dessert (honey cake) to compensate which we were very grateful for

Great view and great service! The lunch set is a bit pricey; but if you think you're paying for the amazing view of marina bay sands, then it's worth it!

This is another place that had been on my list to hit! I was craving pasta on a Friday evening and made my way down to the waterfront. As soon as I walked in, the ambiance was really nice. I had a wine slushy (!) first because I was so hot and then ordered a glass of red wine from the Happy Hour menu. The bartender recommended the homemade sausage and smoked ricotta pasta (something alone those lines) and it was nice and savory and salty, which is what I wanted. I And, the views were pretty sweet! I look forward to trying more goodies from here!
