Caffè La Crepa

"Overlooking a picturesque Renaissance square, the café here dates back to the early 19C and the trattoria shortly after. Today, the decor is a nostalgic mix of styles from the mid-19C to the mid-20c, including Art Nouveau. The restaurant not only appeals to the eyes but also to the tastebuds, thanks to its expertly prepared traditional dishes made from carefully chosen top-quality ingredients which are full of flavour. And if you’d like to take a souvenir home with you, there’s also a shop here selling food specialities and wine." - Michelin Inspector

Wow, this was worth the detour. Possibly one of the best lunches I can remember. Each course was remarkable with flavour texture and preparation. Stickleback is difficult to get right but this was astoundingly good. Thank you all in the family.

Overall a nice place, good cuisine. But way too expensive considering the village where the restaurant is, that is in the middle of nowhere. You cannot price it as if you were in Milan.

Wonderfully warm reception in a truly historical location off the beaten track. Although we arrived 10 minutes before closing, we were still treated to a feast of cold cuts, cheeses and local delicacies. Can’t wait to come back to sample the full menu.

Awesome restaurant. Excellent service, kind staff, best local dishes tried so far in the zone. Highly recommended. At a fair price! This place doesn't even need this review for locals, everyone that lives here knows it's famous and people comes here for this from far away.

We went there for the Apero. The environment is so beautiful and calm. We had some Spritz and they were good. Their syrups should be better though, either homemade or better brands. There was an impolite message for people with children though, a bit dry for hospitality.

Is hard to find a better place for contemporary trattorias in Italy. Tradition at its best in a wonderful venue, kind and expressive service and really interesting wine list. A must in the area

After roaming through the medieval metaphysical towns bordering their own Sea, Il Po, one wonders how he can still be surprised to reach such a hidden island (lisola Dovesana) where the mighty Gonzala would come and rest their spirit. However the surprise is only the Incipit of more to come, because Federico took us through a culinary journey riddled with local tales of the mysteries of IL PO. The Cafe Crepa, Is in a beautiful setting with an almost mystical surrounding, still hopelessly hoping for a returned glory. But it is better this way. The service was excellent, Federico is a true cavalerie of Lisola Dovesana. The wine list is a bit limited but has some classics. The Bollito was perfectly soft and tasty. We couldn't recommend this place more.
