Google
Revisit?: Not for the matcha What I Ordered: Strawberry matcha The current balance heavily favors milk, making the matcha flavor almost imperceptible. Even after an adjustment by the staff, i couldn’t taste the matcha. Perhaps adjusting the standard matcha-to-milk ratio could help customers to experience a richer matcha flavor without needing extra charges. They states on the menu that they used strawberry puree, but it’s just strawberry syrup from a bottle.

Nobody does the Medici like they do that’s coffee with chocolate and orange peel. I love how they charge based on the size of your drink for your alternative milk versus just a flat amount so when I get a 12 ounce I just paid $.50 for my almond milk. Thank you. Just as they have done since the first store in Queen Anne, they are supporting local artists. Take a look at my photos to see this talent. They have a variety of snacks, including vegan muffins

Google
Only 3 stars coz of the high price of an OK coffee. Maybe they pay premium coz its on mall strip but atmosphere is nice and also service is good. I was not sure if they validate parking.

I signed up for a little adventure in Kirkland. I can't say anything about the adventure other than it put me near Caffe Ladro at coffee time. Google Maps showed me how to walk to the shopping area, but I was on my own to find the right stairs to get down to the coffee shop. I think there is a parking garage nearby, but since I was on foot, I can't be sure. The shop is brightly lit and very clean. A nice Barista took my order and answered my questions about food options. I ordered a 20 oz latte and a ham and cheese croissant. I was the only person in the shop, so the wait for my stuff was not long. One wall of the shop is open to the foyer of what I think is an office building. There are a few couches and a giant bleacher thing. There were plenty of outlets, so I plugged in my computer and went to work. The coffee tasted good and had enough caffeine to get my day started properly. The ham in the croissant was a little over cooked and chewy, but the pastry was good. My adventure was on a strict schedule, so I didn't linger. I may come back sometime to spend more time in that space. It seems nice.

Google
Neither impressed nor disappointed- with coffee, food or service. The store has industrial chic decor and a cool place to hang out. Tried the cold brew and some baked goods - both were ok. Of course these days a small coffee is $6+ with tips. Want to try their espresso before I judge further.

Google
Small place but there are seats and outlets. Their americano was alright. I enjoyed their bacon & Beechers scone, almond croissant, and chocolate croissant.

Google
Ladron coffee shop is absolutely outrageous with their pricing, charging a whopping $7.44 for a simple latte is daylight robbery. Save your money for a more reasonably priced caffeine fix.

Great market day coffee! TKO with coconut 🌴🥥 was so good!

Yelp
Stopped in while I had to wait for my boyfriend to get off work. Around 3:30pm. Pretty quiet in the store, the barista was very helpful and cheery. Recommended some drinks and pastry's. I went with a latte and a rum soaked almond croissant. I was so happy. It was so tasty. While I was waiting a few more customers came in and she attended everyone and got our drinks/pastries in a very efficient time. The store itself opens up to the lobby area of a Kirkland urban building. There are public restrooms across the way and besides the tables and seating in Cafe Ladro there are comfy chairs right outside of it as well as patio seating for outdoors! Great place to sit and sip for a bit.

Yelp
I'm a bit biased because I love caffe ladro, I think it's the best espresso in town. I have my favorite combo, breve cortado + espresso chip cake, and it never disappoints. When you get it "for here" you get a small wooden tray with a glass of sparkling water, which is highly appreciated. The espresso cake dunked in the cortado is one of my guilty pleasures, I love it. Location is great within the Kirkland Urban retail hub. You can have lunch at shake shack or tuttabella or dough zone and then get an amazing espresso at caffe ladro! Parking is 4hrs free with validation.

Yelp
Compliments to this location, as they are incredibly clean, and the service that I was given exceeded my expectations. I am giving them three stars, because the parking isn't usually that convenient, the prices are a little bit higher than they should be in my opinion, at all of the locations, and the café itself is rather small. I will say that if you go to this location, there is some really cool study environments that I believe actually belong to the apartment complex that it's a part of, but nevertheless, it is a unique environment.

Yelp
Service. Always friendly. Ambiance. Calm and relaxing. It's nice because the space is attached to the bottom floor of a Google Campus so a very nice spacious area to sit and enjoy coffee. The baked goods don't go as far as creating a WOW factor but still good food overall. Yet we all come for the coffee. I'm not a coffee expert but like wine, I know what I like. Cafe Ladro isn't terrible by any means but it misses for my taste buds. The coffee is either very light roast and light in flavor profile as well or other roasts can be rather acidic which isn't my cup of tea. What's nice is that it's a very easy coffee to drink but if you're expecting robust flavors/aromas and/or bold coffee or sweet drinks this isn't the place to go. Again not a knock by any means but not my cup of... Joe. But works well in a pinch as I'd much rather support Cafe Ladro over Starbucks across the way

Yelp
Beautiful service. If you're lucky you'll get Emma. She'll remember you. She'll even remember your drink even when you've been away for months. Clean and modern. I still wish they wouldn't up charge for the nondairy milk. But they have a good reward system. Nice bathrooms in the main lobby of the building as well. Lots of hand sanitizers and high ceiling so it feels clean

Yelp
The coffee was good and the staff was nice. Service wasn't the fastest as only one person was behind the counter. There isn't much space inside Caffe Ladro but the Kirkland Urban offers great outdoor seating and there is some building seating.

Yelp
On a nice sunny day, went in to get an iced Macchiato. Noticed that there was only one person working and actually felt bad. It wasn't very busy but enough that it would have been better to have one cashier and one barista. Coffee was nice and sitting outside was a great. Will be back if I'm shopping in the area.

Yelp
The cafe with the most interesting hours! I tried to go to either of the Kirkland locations. One had some bathroom (?) issues and closed early and the Kirkland urban location which I ended up at decided to close their doors right after we and maybe one other group went in. Reason- unclear. They were supposed to stay open till probably 4....but I could tell when I walked in that they were ready to head out -- no obvious reason. It was a beautiful weekend day. We sat outside enjoying our lattes but had to watch numerous people tug at the door to find it closed and step back angrily and in frustration. They forgot to take down their sandwich board "open" sign when they closed -- so that led to a lot of confusion. Not sure why this is happening!

Yelp
Was so happy to see Caffe Ladro right in the heart of Kirkland Urban near the work space areas in my hometown! Love the modern decor and the bright interior. Thanks Megan for showing me around! Ordered a Turmeric Latte and it definitely hit the spot. Love this spot!

Yelp
Honestly, I'm very surprised I'm coming on here to give Caffe Ladro a 5-star review. I was extremely disappointed the last time that I went, which was almost a year ago at the location on Central Way. My coffee was overpriced and not very good. After that experience, I thought I'd never go back to a Caffe Ladro. I didn't see the point, because there are a couple of other solid coffee shops in the DT Kirkland area. We've been getting Valpaks in the mail with $5 Caffe Ladro coupons. My bf had been using them to get coffees and apple coffee cakes, but I stood my ground! I wasn't going back! Well... then... that all changed. We were on a walk and my bf wanted to use his coupon. I begrudgingly followed him inside, thinking I wouldn't order anything. But since my bf was buying, I thought "why not?" and decided to try a matcha. I didn't think it'd be good at all. I'm a matcha lover, but they can be pretty hit or miss. I ordered a 16 oz. iced matcha with oat milk and honey. Let me tell you... it was AMAZING! I was shocked! I still am shocked! I need to know which oat milk they use, and I plan to ask next time we go. The honey gave it a perfectly subtle sweetness that was honestly incredible. I'm not lying when I say it's the best matcha I've ever had. We went back this morning and I ordered it again. There was a different barista this time. As I mentioned, matchas can be pretty hit or miss. I assumed that it wouldn't be good. There was no way it could be. BUT... it WAS. I'm still drinking it now. It's just divine! Once again, it was made perfectly -- even by a different barista! I need to know how they make them because I've been failing at making them at home. I've gotta say I truly am shocked that I'm becoming a Caffe Ladro gal. My boyfriend ordered a Medici and oh my GOSH. INCREDIBLE!!!! It was perfectly sweetened with the orange flavor. WOW. It's definitely something I would order. We got an apple coffee cake this morning and it's definitely rich, but good. Kind of hard to finish yourself so I just had a bit of it. Besides that, this Caffe Ladro is in a great location. It honestly is pretty reasonably priced as well. They have a solid selection of snacks and drinks, and it's very clean inside. Both baristas we've had have been friendly. Thank you Caffe Ladro for the best matcha I think I've ever had...?!???!? I will be back very soon for another one:)

Yelp
Cafe ladro - extremely rich coffee - if you prefer no foam, make sure you tell the barista or else you will get rich cappuccino like foaming latte which I enjoy a lot. There is no thought they serve great coffee and you are guaranteed to taste the difference for the price you pay. Service: to be honest, everywhere is short staffed- from my local grocery store to maybe even the company you work for. I'm very grateful that cafe Ladro is able to retain their skilled barista and it is hard to keep ppl who is skilled and experienced and wanting to remain working - I assume cafe Ladro treats their employee well so they all have beautiful smiles every time I come in. Thank you all who keep working 7-4 at 5 days or 7 days a week while most of us working from home. Price? Tell me what is still cheap now after the 7.9% inflation happening this year. If you are paying $4.10-$4.80 per gallon for your gas, you should know the imported coffee cost more cuz transportation, imported fee, labor etc. even my beef at Costco costs $2-3 more per lb and you expecting coffee price to be under $5 for 16 oz? Just double what you used to pay for then it all makes sense. I just remind myself I need to work more and get pay more so I can retain my current lifestyle- stop blaming the retailers, they need to pay their staffs better and maintain the profit so we can enjoy the delicious coffee. Cafe Ladro also participates a program call too good to go- that resells all left over pastry of the day with a low price $3.99 for 4 pastries. I am one of the customers who benefits from it and I save money from there and don't mind my pastries is 1-2 days old, so as my Safeway QFC donuts and bagels lol

Yelp
This should be a four star rating, but giving it three stars due to the store not being staffed correctly. Went last Saturday morning, fairly early, the location was steady with people out enjoying the weather, coming from the gym, etc. There was one person working -- barista, serving food and working the cash register. What should be 5 minutes or less to get coffee turns into almost 10 minutes due to customers ahead of us and all of the tasking performed by the employee. The person working did great keeping up. The coffee and food were delicious.

Yelp
$5 for an 8 oz white chocolate americano?! And there was no white chocolate even in it.. Terrible coffee. Terrible service

Yelp
I have chime in with others. This particular location is ridiculously slow. It's not worth my stop anymore. The barista does one thing at at time and insanely slow. There is zero personality on top of the slow factor. No "hey, be with you in a moment", no small talk, not even an acknowledgment of your presence while you wait 20 min for ONE person ahead of you.

Andrew V.

Yelp
Unbelievably slow. I mean sheesh. 20 minutes wait when only one person ahead of me. Never again.

Jessica S.

Yelp
Friendly staff and great coffee and food! I ordered a chai and americano with the chorizo burrito and it was delicious.

Annie J.

Yelp
There is only one person working all the time and so it's a 30 minute stop just to get a cup of coffee during busy and slow times. Coffee and food is amazing, but going elsewhere until the cheap owner hires more staff.

Ellie P.

Yelp
We love Cafe Ladro downtown Kirkland and have been a customer for years. I have been to the new location 3 times now, and each time has been a disappointing experience. Yesterday, 3/20, stopped by on a walk for an Americano. A group of 4 where in front of me as I walked in. Only one gentleman was working at the time, which has been my experience every time I have stopped by this new location. I stood at the cash register for over ten minutes, without even a simple eye contact. Zero acknowledgement from the gentleman that was working. No, hi, I will be with you, sorry about the wait. Nothing! Again, it was just me, alone, standing waiting to make an order. After about 10 minutes of this, I walked out and went to Starbucks. This has been my experience the 3 times that I have been to Ladro at Kirkland Urban. I will not be going back for a 4th time.
