My job catered breakfast from this place and it was fantastic. The eggs and bacon are solid, but the true gems were the muffins. Absolutely top-tier muffin action. I will need to swing by to see what the atmosphere and service are like.

Google
This is a great local breakfast spot (if you go there more than once, you’ll notice you see the same people over and over again). I bring my two daughters (3 & 9) here for breakfast all the time and the staff is always very polite and helpful, always warm and welcoming. The food is SO GOOD. The grilled biscuits are out of this world, I get one with every meal no matter what I order! I got a BLT with a fried egg today for the first time and it’s incredible. My usual is a garden omelette add bacon which is also amazing. Everything ALWAYS comes out hot and fresh. All of the pastries and coffee I have tried were also delicious, and as a bonus, during Mardi Gras season, you can go here to get a Dong Phuong (sorry if I spelled it wrong!) king cake! 10/10 recommend to anyone with taste buds. My family and I have been coming here for years and we will keep coming back regularly for as long as we can!

Google
Great customer service from the time I called in an order, till I picked up my food and left. Very friendly, fast service, and delicious breakfast. Great place to grab food or sit down. Very comfortable diner.

Google
Good cozy breakfast spot, eggs were way too under cooked. Don’t get me wrong I like runny yolk, but the eggs were translucent and slimy.

Google
The food was delicious! The place was clean and the stuff was friendly. The most 'wow' thing is the bacon in my "egg and cheese" quesadilla. It had a smokey flavor that wasn't too strong but just enough to say, "Hello, you come here often?". My wife had the "Western Omelette," which she enjoyed. Their Hashbrowns were small cubes of potatoes that were very good. They have quite a few delicious looking desserts behind the counter. Maybe next we'll try one when I visit the smokey bacon. The workers here were busy either taking orders at the counter, bringing food to the tables, or cleaning up the tables. Which kept the place clean and orders moving at a decent pace. This place is bigger on the inside, so if the parking lot is full, don't let that stop you.

First time eating at this place and I must say it was delicious. It’s different from what I’m used to back in Florida. Servers take you to a table and take your order. Here you order what you would like and choose your preferred table. Being first time here, the young ladies in the front were very patient and helpful. Explained what comes with what and gives you there top favorites. Oh and some random guy said while he was heading out. Just close your eyes and put your finger anywhere on the menu bc everything is good here. So, I did just that. The young ladies laughed. My finger landed on the: 3 eggs, white toast, grits and home fries. Cup of coffee to drink. Huh. It was delicious, to me the grits is what made. Once finished I couldn’t leave with out getting a pancake. Pancake was soft, not dry. It was good. Came out so full I had to site in my car for a little. I might of bet did it but it was worth it. So, if you’re looking for a great place to eat and great service. This is the spot for you. Will I come back? Of course.

Google
Caffe Latte Da - Sunday Breakfast Review I recently visited Caffe Latte Da with my family for a Sunday breakfast, and overall, it was a good experience with a few highs and lows. What I loved: - The breakfast portions are generous and satisfying. - The sausage links were perfectly cooked and packed with flavor, while the crispy bacon was absolutely delicious. - The hashbrowns were incredibly well-made, nicely seasoned, and a definite highlight of the meal. - I ordered cheese grits, which required a bit of table-side seasoning (adding butter, salt, and pepper), but once fixed, they were enjoyable. What I didn’t love: - Unfortunately, the coffee didn’t hit the mark for me. I tried the Vietnamese coffee, which traditionally comes sweetened with condensed milk, but this version was far from it. The hazelnut vanilla coffee was okay, but nothing special. - For a café that emphasizes coffee, I was expecting more in that department. All in all, I’ll definitely be back for the breakfast, but I’ll skip the coffee next time.

Google
Very pretty girl with a blonde ponytail took my order. ( you have to order the food before going to a table) They gave me a numbered sign to put on the table and bring the order to you. Plenty of room to sit. I got a bacon, cheese omelet, big old fluffy biscuit and grilled potatoes. I could not finish my plate, it was very good. Don't think you will be disappointed at all. Enjoy the food.

Yelp
Customer service was amazing!!!! I ordered over the phone and sounded like I was talking to a friend. I decided to add a pancake to my order, when I got there and everyone was so nice. Great food and amazing service. Nice, cozy building with a great ambiance. Nice seating space.

Yelp
This place makes the best coffee ever and everyone's so friendly. If you're looking for a place that has an old-fashioned atmosphere, this is it. I love all the wooden tables and artwork that reflects New Orleans. The menu has something for everyone, and the service is excellent. This is a picture of the owner and he's going around to each table asking if everything is okay and if he can help you with anything you don't get that kind of service in the regular coffee shops. Thank you guys for excellent service and your dedication to you're well done job!

Yelp
First-time visitor. My in-laws invited us here for brunch and we had a very nice time. The coffee selection is excellent. They have three different brews going, which I thought was fun. A regular roast, Louisiana roast w/chicory, and a flavored brew. I had a cup of each. Fun! The ambience was a little loud and echoey, but it was due to lots of folks having a good time. The staff were cheerful and seemed to know a lot of the customers personally. The food was tasty and very well done. The pancakes are huge - as big as the plate. Everything was very nice. The menu is large and has some unique items you don't see everywhere. Definitely will come back again to try some other things! Only one issue with an otherwise great experience. They are set up so that you order and pay at the counter. You get a number and they bring your food to the table when it is ready. The only problem with this is the HUGE menu. There is no way to read over it and decide without holding up the line. This caused a little stress with the in-laws because they felt rushed. Recommend you peruse the menu online and decide what you want before you go. I suppose you could grab a menu and a table, decide what you want, and then go get in line. Not a deal-breaker - I will be back - but something I wish I had known ahead of time.

Yelp
I found this hitting gem while my girlfriend and son was at a dentist appointment Coffee was ok but the omelette was GAF

Yelp
Great food, great service and atmosphere. Croissant and pancakes were delicious. Great iced coffee too.

Yelp
I visited here for food last Thursday morning. I had come here a few times before for a basic coffee and the coffee was ok. They have decent amount of food choices on the menu. This time I ordered coffee and also the cajun crawfish omelette meal. I had it with fried potatoes and a biscuit. I thought it was a tasty meal. The portions were larger than I expected. There were several baked goods that looked delicious that I will try next time. Overall, all of the times that I've visited the staff have been pleasant. There are tables inside but I took my food to-go. I am sure I will return here to try other food items in the near future. There is onsite parking.

V V.

Yelp
This is a go to breakfast spot for my family. Their pancakes are my favorite and usually will last me a couple days with the portion size. It does get very busy on the weekends and can take a good bit of time, but overall great food and cozy environment.
google avatar

Yelp
That crawfish omelette was amazing, I don't really eat them but because it had crawfish I had to try it and it was cooked perfect, also the grits were good also, if I'm ever in New Orleans again I will stop by this place!

Yelp
I love this cute little cafe. This space has been a few things, one was a small meat market. I really like what the new owners have done with the space. We came here one morning for breakfast on a weekday so there were plenty of older retired people there. I loved how the feel of this place was a mom and pops style. It seemed like most of the customers were regulars who knew the workers. The staff was super friendly especially one particular man behind the counter. He even smiled and posed for my camera. They all made us feel like family. They have extensive coffee menu and lots of breakfast and lunch type items to choose from. They're pancakes were super fluffy . the bacon was really good, and the creme brule coffee was top notch. I also had a frozen coffee which I would go back for 100 times. The nice man added chocolate syrup to it and it was amazing!

Yelp
Enjoyed breakfast with my sister recently the atmosphere was nice and the employees were friendly i wanted to meet the owner since I saw a review of how "nice" he was and he is that nice! will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Very nice staff and the food was great. I'm a picky eater and I loved everything I ordered. I also really love what the place is doing by hiring workers with special needs I had grits, eggs, bacon, sausage and a waffle. I have no complaints! I also tried the white chocolate almond coffee, amazinggggg

Brent C.

Yelp
I always forget to snap photos of the food. I love coming here for breakfast or brunch. The food is always hot and fresh! If you find yourself in the area. Definitely give it a try.

Susan C.

Yelp
We eat there often. The food is above the rest. A little bit pricy but you do get a lot for your money. The staff is wonderful and so are Coach and Linda the owners. Do yourself a favor and go enjoy.

Yelp
If you want some good french toast, look no further. I had been craving for some french toast, so my cousin introduced me to this spot, you know I had to give them a try. They serve coffees, fresh baked muffins, waffles, sandwiches, and so much more. Order online for carryout! The atmosphere was casual, the staff very friendly. They are very organized when it comes to receiving your takeout order, no long wait time. There is a fully equipped coffee station/bar, will definitely have to get an iced vanilla latte next time. Their Strawberry Cream Cheese French Toast is a must have. You get four slices of cinnamon brioche french toast, with strawberry cream cheese, fresh strawberries, a side of bacon, and chocolate syrup. Those flavors work so well together. Also, if you are in the mood for a sandwich, the club sandwich with french fries is a definite order.

Yelp
My first time here! So good staff is super friendly and pretty quick considering the building was pretty much full. It was a perfect after workout breakfast. The grits are amazing, get your biscuit "grilled" and do yourself a favor and try the pancakes! There's a light crust that gives it like a crunch but the inside is just a nice soft, moist(sorry) pancake! It was delicious and I'm not even a big fan of pancakes! Trying to convince my girlfriend to go back tomorrow morning I'll keep you guys posted! haha

Grace B.

Yelp
This was my first time there. We went to just pick up a king cake but ended up staying for breakfast. Glad we did. You get a lot of food and the service was great. Everyone was so nice! The pancakes are wonderful. Will definitely be returning. It's a cute local restaurant for a morning breakfast with friends and family. But...... I will say if you go for a king cake I thought you couldn't get it put on hold and had to wait in the line. As I was eating there I saw a few people come in and pick it up. It's not fair but I want people to be aware.

Adrianna P.

Yelp
Really nice staff. It was my first time and they made me feel welcomed. You do have to order at the counter. I had the egg Benedict. The Hollandaise was not the best but the chicken and waffles, white chocolate almond latte and sausage egg and cheese muffin was good. I will go again.

Martha C.

Yelp
I have to say food was good it was hot and large portions. The one thing that ruined it for me is the older women in the front making coffee and bringing out food. You go up Front to order food and they bring it out to your table. There is a long line with families ordering so I know the young cashier gets overwhelmed but we were fine with waiting and ordering. She didn't ring up an orange juice and coffee and the older woman came Up to our table demanding for us to pay it. I didn't get a receipt, I paid $90 I figured everything was fine. I told her I would pay for it . The way she came up To the table Acting like we stole all our food. All over an orange juice and coffee Terrible customer service First and last time I will be coming.

Yelp
I think we might have caught them on an off day. We were in on a Thursday afternoon around noon and our servers were a bit flustered despite there being 6 total customers in the place including us. The atmosphere is very casual but they have a well-equipped coffee bar complete with optional "adult additions." I opted for a latte, a morning glory muffin, and the spinach salad. My friend ordered a latte with a shot of Bailey's, the eggs benedict, and the turtle dessert. I'm guessing we might've gotten a trainee so I don't want to be too critical, but she had a lot of trouble with the POS system and it took quite a while to input my order of a salad, a muffin, and a latte with no substitutions. However she did it with a smile so I didn't mind. The muffin was fantastic, almost like a very moist carrot cake and paired perfectly with their coffee which was quite smooth and not over roasted. The salad unfortunately was well dressed but thehouse bacon vinaigrette dressing had little flavor. I had tons of leftovers and with some added dressing from home it was just fine. My friend was not a huge fan of her benedict as her ham/Canadian bacon had a lot of gristle, and her poached eggs were very overcooked. However she raved about her side of potatoes so I think that made up for the eggs and ham. She loved the turtle but was sad it had no caramel. Overall a decent meal. I'm not sure I'll be rushing back but it was a solid weekday option for a spontaneous brunch.

Yelp
Stopped by lunch. Ordered a chicken sandwich and soup of the day (tomato basil). Everything was fresh and delicious. Atmosphere was great. Service was great.

Yelp
Hello everyone sitting here at Caffee Latte Da. We'll it gets 3 stars from me. I ordered the Cajun omelette, which was very dry! With very little shrimp and meat. Would not order omelette unless you like real fluffy and dry. The coffee on the other hand was great. I had the white chocolate almond. The diner overall is a great place to sit and drink coffee and have a good conversation.

Yelp
Had an enjoyable first experience. I do not order out much now due to Covid-19, but when I do, I hope for a pleasurable, satisfying, fat girl experience. I had the crawfish omelet with spinach and mushrooms, hash browns with cheese, and Viennese coffee. The omelet was pretty good! It actually had some flavor, unlike some restaurants I have tried. It also had cheese--actual cheese. I have tried other places that state that cheese comes on the omelet, but it is the most minimal amount. That was not my experience here. The hash browns were your common chunk potatoes with melted cheddar. They give you A LOT! Nice taste as well. This was my first time trying Viennese coffee and it was really good! I am unsure of what exactly it is--Google has conflicting information as usual. I do know that I was energized for a solid 24 hours (I literally did not sleep that night). But, it was well worth it. I needed energy to take an exam that day and I got what I was looking for. I will order from here again.

Yelp
Amazing breakfast and the Almond Croissant is a great way to start out. Coffee is great and will wake you up!! Highly recommended!!!

Anja K.

Yelp
Delicious food and service! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. I got the breakfast biscuit and iced coffee and both were wonderful! They bring it out to you to your table and really take their time to ask if you need anything else. I really enjoyed it and will be coming back for more :)

Yelp
Was looking for a breakfast place that wasnt fast food. With caffe in the name u cant go wrong. We were greeted promptly when we entered. Surprisingly it wasnt very crowded on a Sunday..but then again we were eating breakfast at almost noon. Lol. The guy that took our was super friendly. Lets hope this next statement doesnt ruffle too many feathers..they have some of the best grits i have ever had! Ever! Super creamy and i didnt have to add a thing to them..i mean no added salt, pepper or butter! They have a lot of great options on the breakfast menu so im looking forward to checking them out again. Service was pretty quick and prices were reasonable. I would revisit just for the grits...no sh*t!

Yelp
Came before when they had servers instead of going to the register to order and decided not come back, because service was really slow and they would forget to put my order in the few times I went. Since the change, I'll probably end up going every weekend or so. Nice employees and good food. Big brain change.

Kamilė M.

Yelp
This is the best local family-owned breakfast spot in the Elmwood area. Service is always fast and all of the employees are very friendly and helpful. The food is always hot and tasty. I recommend the garden and western omlettes with a side of potatoes and their homemade biscuits! The ambiance is very warm and welcoming with lots of locals and smiles. Highly recommend for wholesome family dining.

Yelp
Good breakfast spot with community feel. Needs more parking spaces on busy day but street next door is open.

Yelp
Worst service I have ever had at a restaurant period. After countless times of saying I won't be back, I decided to give it one last try due to it being my local breakfast spot. After waiting 25 minutes for food, the waitress walked up and asked if we were ready to checkout thinking we already got our food and finished it. I had to send back my eggs for being undercooked, as well as the bacon. I will say the pancake I got was one of the better things I've gotten from there. Another server had to come help our server get our refills as well as get the food that needed to be sent back. The bus boy held his hands out to us to give him our plates when we were done eating instead of just picking them up off the table. When it was time to checkout the server went back and forth at least 4 times trying to get the checks right and couldn't seem to do it. We had split checks, one of the checks was $19 and some change. We gave her two $20 bills so she could make change and get tipped. She brought back change and the same $20 we gave. We paid for one bill on a credit card that has plenty enough money to pay the bill on it. On our way out she chased us down and said there was still a $4 balance that needed to be paid and said our card didn't cover our meal which was clearly a mistake on her part after all the trouble of spitting checks. We left and made a phone call to the store to speak to a manager. The manager insisted it was our fault and our card was the problem and said "it's best you just don't come back, we expect this from people like you". And hung up on us. I'm absolutely disgusted at the way this was handled as well as the entire meal. I will never go back to Caffe Blah Blah Blah because that's exactly what it is....BLAH. I'd recommend trying YaYa's or even an awful McDonalds Sausage Burrito because you surely will have a better experience than walking into this unsatisfying disrespectful restaurant.

Yelp
We always end up at Caffe Latte Da! You just can't beat it Best breakfast in town. We have tried others and they aren't even close. Service is so friendly and the food is just perfection. My husband actually had grilled chicken sandwich with fries and my daughter had chicken strips, they were all great. I just can't pass up breakfast.

Yelp
Waited an hour for the food in the picture. Burnt English muffin, slightly warm eggs (that were clearly made in a huge batch of scrambled eggs instead a while ago), non-melted cheese, and a slab of sausage. I could have made this at home in 10 minutes and it would have tasted better. Half the tables were empty and they were telling people it was a 45 minute wait for food. I would have rather waited the hour for a table at Ruby Slipper. At least the food would be worth it. Also the man who served our food rubbed my back as he set down my plate. All the women at my table were very uncomfortable as he touched all of us in that manner. We had never met him, and it was inappropriate.

Yelp
Staff was absolutely helpful, happy and just overall fabulous! The food was so good, with sized portions. We had brunch and it was delicious! So many choices both with food & drinks.

Yelp
The food is amazing. This place is a little pricey from your average breakfast but well worth it.

Yelp
This is such a great place to go and love the staff here!! The food is great and is priced extremely fair!! Usually here at least once a week and love it. The grits here are awesome as are the biscuits. It's a bit outta my way but entirely worth it!!

Yelp
Hamburger was huge and delicious French fries had a seasoning sprinkled on that was great. Grandson's grilled cheese was huge. Can not say enough about the service. excellent

Yelp
Everything about this restaurant is 5 stars. The staff, owners and even guests are everything you'd want in a local, family owned, mom and pop cafe AND the food is fantastic. As soon as I walk in the door with my children we're immediately WELCOMED by the owners who are always there on the front line working. Every. Single. Visit. As a single mother with young children that kind of greeting doesn't happen too often in food and beverage/hospitality industry. How you treat your guests goes along way. The one and ONLY thing I do not so much like but ok with, is they're not open for dinner. That's what you get with a mom and pop owned restaurant with family values. Seems like they hire local teenage students, instilling the value of work ethic at their age is so important. It's very refreshing for your belly and your soul visiting Cafe latte Da. Kudos. God bless.

Yelp
I feel like I have so much to say about this little place, but most of it is suggestions. First of all, the location is ok, but not great. It is kind of "off the beaten path," in the commercial area of Harrahan, which is ok, but I am guessing only people who live in Harahan ever really go here. The parking is fairly ample. As far as service goes, everyone seemed to be fairly professional. The lady at the register was helpful and efficient. When you walk in, you have to order at the desk, which I actually like better than table service. They have a wide variety of teas, including awesome herbal teas. This is a big plus for me, since I don't do caffeine. The breakfast menu offers a wide variety of options, but since I won't be heading out that way often, I decided to jump right in and get the eggs benedict with hashbrowns. It is my firm belief that if a cafe can get that dish right, everything else will be awesome. There is real skill involved in making even a decent benedict. When my breakfast came out, it looked ok, but since I eat with my eyes first, I would say that it would be worth it for the business to invest in slightly nicer plates and to add some green to the dish for color. A little parsley on the potatoes, for instance, wouldn't hurt, or even a slice of orange with the peel flipped up along side the eggs. These additions would be inexpensive, and would make the dish so much more appealing. The flavor of the benedict itself was good: lemony and well balanced. None of the yolks were overcooked. Still, I was missing the benefits of a "pretty" breakfast. As for decor, as a customer I dislike cheap/stereotypical kitchen decor, and this place is the poster child for "I went to Kirklands and bought some chef pictures." It would be great if the owner could, instead, find some local artists with Louisiana themed pieces, and put the art up on consignment. It will give the cafe a more personal feel, and the owner wouldn't have to spend a dime. Also, there is a nice little cubby in the center of the room...filled with things like Styrofoam to-go boxes and random, hodgepodge decorations. Maybe those things could be swapped out for a little merchandise like cute mugs branded with the business name. Most of all, the back wall above the large windows has an obvious mold problem, and I found this concerning. That stuff needs to be taken care of ASAP.

Yelp
I hate having to do this because I love supporting local restaurants. But my experience here was so unsatisfactory that I hope the restaurant can make improvements after this review. I was excited to try this place for breakfast today with my girlfriend. We waited nearly 18 minutes after being sat down to get service from our server. The staff wasn't knowledgeable about their coffee and whether it has sugar. I ordered a coffee and an omelet. My coffee came with my omelet about 40 minutes later which was surprising. The omelette was alright and the bacon was delicious, but the coffee and the service was shockingly unsatisfactory. I want to really like this place so I'm willing to try again if improvements are made. Today was absolutely not The day thiugh.

Yelp
Got in excited to find a place with good average ratings across multiple platforms as I travel for business and like to look into the places i eat, but was rather disappointed by the service. As I initially entered there was a waitlist, which was no problem. My irritation began when the Two tables (a party of 2 and a party of 3) were behind me, a single person. Those tables got their drinks and coffee orders before i could even ask for water, which I frustratingly interrupted a nice waiter for 15 minutes after I sat down, which was significantly before those two tables got seated due to the waitlist and keep in mind got water and their coffee orders as well as their food orders in before I interrupted a waiter not assigned to my table for water. I eventually saw those tables get their food, waited 10 min, got up and left. Never seeing the food hit my table. I ordered a Denver omelette and a cup of tortilla soup, which was much less than the the tables that got seated after me. 1/5 star for the service and lack of attention or organization. I'm sure the food would've been decent, it has good reviews, but unfortunately the day I came the service was genuine shit, no one seemed to have acknowledged my obvious disappointment and I felt ignored.

Yelp
We used this company for their catering service and they went out of their way to make room and a great experience for a group of over 100! I had the pleasure of working with the owners and their responsiveness, customer service orientation, and of course, food, were all outstanding! Highly recommend for your large party!

Yelp
As with so many other reviewers I had business in the area (or to be precise, my daughter did, at her dance studio) and stopped for cup of coffee and a small treat. The coffee was hot, fresh, and strong. I chose the turtle, as in McKenzie's turtle, as my treat. Did I say small? Oh well...unlike the half-dollar size McKenzie's turtles from long past, this turtle was three inches across with a fist-sized dollop of chocolate on top. My only issue was that the McKenzie's small turtle had the right "nut-to-mass" ratio. Here, the nut is more of a garnish, leaving one with too many nut-less bites. Most of the other patrons were ordering breakfast mostly plates with eggs in various forms and breakfast sandwiches. These looked good, but I have no direct experience with them.

Yelp
This is a great little lunch/breakfast spot in a busy business corridor. I don't know that it's the best place for a quick coffee, but if you need eats. The last time I stopped in everyone was pleasant, even though it was a weekend. And my only big issue was the customers in front of me...who were relaying an order via a phone call for a delayed companion. C'mon. Try to hustle it up. I was between stops so got a breakfast biscuit to go and it was tasty. If I was in the area more often...

Yelp
"Limit 1. First come, first served", but a man walked out of the door with 3. Another walker out with his name on the box.

Yelp
Food was decently good. So, I post this picture because the manager in charge today she came up to us telling us very rudely that we didn't pay for two drinks. She even brought us out the check saying yep you guys didn't pay for two items, she repeated it a good five times. Keep in mind this is just minutes after we had barely sat down. She was saying it in a tone like if we had commited the worst crime ever. But, we didn't make the mistake it was the teenager taking orders she and the manager we're all over the place; they didn't communicate that we had already ordered our drinks and we assume since their the waiter's that they had note it down in the bill that they were creating since it's a order in the front counter restaurant. This system they had wasn't working well from them. I don't plan to ever come back here. The manager was way to forceful in speaking to us; made my breakfast sour.

Yelp
Great food! The staff was very friendly. Nice and clean. Best pancakes I have ever had in a restaurant. The biscuits are light and fluffy best ever. Must stop and try.

Yelp
Found this place using Yelp for some comfort breakfast food after a funeral. Very good food and coffee. I didn't give 5 stars because they had sold out of grits (which I really wanted to try) and I had to give a tip before receiving any service which was kind of weird. But the service was great, so it worked out in the end. :)

Yelp
This place is amazing!!! We just moved to New Orleans and this was the first breakfast place we tried. It was definitely a win. The employees are extremely nice and helpful. The food was delicious and fast. It's local and family-owned. We'll be back again.

Yelp
We frequently go there for brunch on the weekends. Pre 19 and now they just have issues with service. The food is really good - why we go back, but be prepared to wait a while. It takes a while but the food keeps us coming back.
