HOLY SMOKES! Really great experience. Beautiful location and incredible food. Cannelloni was very good and so was the ravioli. But…. The smoked chicken macaroni was something else! So good. (Had a rough experience my first time here and probably worth noting that I had my best management experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The guy bent over backwards to make things right. Truly excellent management.)

We took a spin out on the Belt last weekend and stopped in for a quick bite and a beer. Holey Jamoley....the food, cold beer and amazing service blew me away! Now we have extra motivation to make that ride over and over and over again! Thanks guys!!

Good food. Great service. Atmosphere is fun if you like to people watch and chilling by the river. Don't have some of the classics from the sister location but still good food.

We had lunch on the patio today and it was stunning! We had a view of the river and the passersby traffic on the greenbelt. Well done on the friendly, prompt service! Our food was well prepared and flavorful. The lasagna we ordered was excellent, but could have been a little hotter. Thank you!

Just visited this restaurant for my first time, and will definitely be back. I am Sicilian by heritage and grew up with delicious foods and scents around me, and this place hit the mark. I ordered linguini and meatballs which came out of the kitchen steaming hot. What a treat! Service was attentive and our wait person gave good recommendations. Interior feels contemporary and polished. Small enough that it feels cozy. Ate indoors because outdoor seating was full. Amazingly my dining companion and I could talk and hear each other - yay! If using a car to get to this place, access is via roads going through a condo-heavy neighborhood, and then there is no dedicated parking lot, meaning one has to park somewhere in the neighborhood and walk to the restaurant. The only con I give this place is that it had an overhead TV playing above the bar section. I know that TVs in your face everywhere seem to be what business operators think all humans want and need these days, but I challenge especially great restaurants like this one to buck the trend and let TV blabbery fade into oblivion.

Everything is pretty average here. The food is just ok. The service was decent. I like that there is an outdoor patio, but it was crowded and has an ok view. Parking is terrible, so if you are nearby definitely utilize the green belt.

Wonderful views, outside deck seating or indoor, nice ambiance and good food. This is a terrific place if you want to enjoy the whitewater/Esther Simplot park and Greenbelt activities.

We had our wedding rehearsal dinner at Caffe Lucianos. It is an amazing spot right by the Boise river. I worked with Cody on their catering team who got the entire dinner organized and planned out for us. The staff was very accommodating. The food was absolutely amazing, fresh, and I would not want to make any changes to it. The restaurant itself was amazing, clean, and the seating was perfect for our group. Looking forward to eating there again soon!

Order dinner for delivery and I received a burnt piece of chicken parm. This is so not ok!! You would not serve this in your restaurant why would you send this to someone. So unacceptable!! Only because I can't give you zero stars!!

What a cool spot right on the river walk. I took the wife and kids for some apps and flatbread pizzas and Luciano's did not disappoint. This is a cute, quaint spot for sure. Patio people watching galore as the river walk is basically on the patio. The grilled peach/raspberry burrata app is to die for! After filling up walk across the bridge and North to watch the locals surf the Boise River. We had a really good time and can't wait to go back!

The best on is the orginal on Orchard but the Cafe on the river has great ambiance. The baked Brie is a must, best I've ever had. We just went to celebrate our anniversary and retirement!

Great little spot on the river. I love this place. Seating outside is recommended weather permitting. The side of Meatballs is a Must! I had A side salad which needs a bigger plate in my opinion and the flat bread pizza which is delicious.

Location is very nice, right along the greenbelt. The service was good but slow. The cannoli was very underwhelming. The filling was WAY too sweet, and the shell was too thick and had a bad texture. The rest of the food was mediocre.

This restaurant has a fantastic location right alongside the Boise River. The service and food was good. My husband loved his lasagne. My son and I both ordered flatbread pizzas and neither one of them had a ton of flavor.

How much do I love this place. It's just such a delight to stop in when we're out on a walk and are a bit noshy (is this a word?) The staff is always attentive and friendly. We got talking about an online food service and she said she had an extra coupon that we could try, and just gave it to us. The food and wine just always hits right, here.

What a fun little spot along the river. After we checked j to our Airbnb we walked across the bridge and ended up here for a late lunch. Beautiful views of the river from the patio. We did appetizers, Brie and stuffed mushrooms. Both delicious. The sister was kind to guide to the better drinks they served. A few days later we wanted something nearby and decided to stop here again. This time I did the flatbread. This was delicious!

They say you can't reserve a table. So we showed up 6:30 expecting to wait for a table. The front end people seemed VERY young and inexperienced. The young woman said they were busy and to come back at 7:30 (which seemed strange because they close at 8.) we put our name in and said we would wait outside. We waited until 7:15 and saw other people being seated at tables. We check back in and they said they were too busy and couldn't serve us at all. Since we had walked there with our elderly aunt it was tough because we had to walk her back and our dinner together was ruined. If they had just said there was no room at the beginning, we could have made other plans. Felt like discrimination, but I think it was just poor management/policy and inexperienced workers.

The salad I chose had so much flavor. My husband had a chicken sandwich that was amazing. Very polite staff. Right on the green belt.

We Love this place! We tried it years ago while visiting the Boise area and haven't stopped talking about how good our meal was. Well we have recently made Idaho our home & couldn't wait to go back to this little gem, let's just say it didn't disappoint! Clean quaint place along the Boise River. Great Friendly staff & Delicious food!! We ordered Bruschetta, Flatbread & yummy pear salad. We cant wait to go back and try more entrees.

Omgggggggg we had reservations for 8 for Mother's Day. We had five that ordered the lasagna. The portion that came out was 1/4 of the size that was pictured on Yelp. Is it because it was Mother's Day when you think it's OK to scale back the amount of food? All of the food was super cold. They ran out of manicotti, we had to order other food we didn't even want. we didn't like at all. They charge me $29 for 2nUnder poured glasses of wine My daughter got the pasta and chicken with my picture you can make your own judgment of how horrible it was. Needless to say we spent almost $200 and everything was horrible. I know it was Mother's Day but every customer should feel important.

Tucked away in a residential area near the Boise River, I would never have known about this place unless my family told me about it. Indoor and outdoor seating, nice selection of dishes including pizza, pasta, and salads. A cat from one of the neighboring residences roams around the outside (if you're allergic, maybe ask to sit indoors), and there's a beautiful view of the Boise River. Service was slow, and they need to clean their outdoor fan.

As of 9/25/24: My girlfriend and I decided to go here for date night. We've been to the main restaurant before and loved it. We got there, we chose a spot outside and we'll we didn't really have a server that helped us and greet and take care of us. It took 20 mins to get someone to finally take our orders but we finally got our food. My girlfriend ordered the smoked chicken and bacon Mac and cheese and I ordered the tomato margarita flatbread. First thoughts was it looks good, but after eating some of it didn't taste very good. It wasn't the best experience but many hours later she has a hurting stomach and so do I. I recommend going to the main restaurant or find somewhere else if you don't wanna feel sick and stomach pain.

Came here with friends to annouce our pregnancy! We loved the service and the food was amazing! Beautiful views Can deff get busy.

We had a delicious lunch sitting outside overlooking the river today. Our server, Swann, was adorable and so helpful. She let me taste an extra beer that was her favorite. I'm getting that next time! I loved the pear and goat cheese salad. Husband liked his meatball sandwich that came with a Caesar salad. We will be back!

This place is so cute right by the Greenbelt! You have views of the water. Cute little patio with umbrellas for shade etc. Great service! Reasonable price menu items and a pretty good variety! If you're biking around the Greenbelt it is totally worth stopping by for a snack and a drink! I will stop by every time I'm on this path

I have to admit; I wasn't too thrilled when my husband said he wanted to try out this "new, for us anyways, Italian spot." It's 95 outside. Way too hot for a heavy meal. I was pleasantly surprised that the cafe had misters outside. A TOTAL win. The restaurant also had indoor seating, but we did opt for outdoors to people-watch. Food: Since this is a new place, we opted to share everything to get a baseline, if you will. For starters, we opted for: The baked brie with Apple and Honey. The baked Brie was wrapped in a puff pastry. Oven-baked and served with roasted garlic, Granny Smith apples, spicy hunt, and garlic crostini. The presentation was fantastic. The size could probably feed 4-6 people. The taste was phenomenal. The Brie was soft and melted with a flaky firm crust. The roasted garlic was a chef's kiss. Each was nice, but we'd recommend adding all to a crostini and trying it. The honey was a great addition. Our main course : Pecan goat cheese and apple salad. The salad had an abundance of cheese, candied pecan, apple, and onions. I always love when there are more toppings than actual salad pieces. I came out chilled. The way the ingredients married in your mouth... Linguine and Meatballs: It is three house-made meatballs over a bed of linguine with house marinara. Those following me for a while know I'm not a fan of meatballs, but these are amazing. They are beef and pork made and tender. Soft and favorable with a nice variety of textures. The meatball was more prominent than a golf ball and smaller than a baseball. They were seasoned very well with moderate garlic notes. Fresh and pleasant. The linguini was perfectly al dente and possibly homemade. If not, they had us both fooled--the light coating of a thick fresh, flavored marinara. The sauce was not runny or watery. You could taste the herbs dancing on your tongue. The garlic bread was soft to the bite and with a hint of garlic--light and airy. Josh opted for a Roy Rogers. He said it was refreshing and not chemically flavored. Service: The wait staff was pleasant. They checked on us throughout the stay. They came around with water to ensure we never went without. Ambiance It was about 95° a pretty warm outside, but charming and relaxed on the patio; half a dozen umbrellas provided shade covering most of the deck, accompanied by giant fans with misters keep in the ambient temperature about 25° cooler than the surrounding area plenty of well-spaced seating between the tables enough to accommodate approximately 40 people outside with views of Quinn's pond and the surfers enjoying the rapids 100 feet away. The constant passing of dogs and family on the bike provides a beautiful ambiance and atmosphere. Parking The parking situation was less than ideal. Star rating from us both 5! We will be back, for sure. This quickly may have become my favorite spot

Food, service, wine and wine glasses. All were great. Very impressed by everything. All scratch made food. We had Brushetta, meatballs, Caesar salad & The waterfront flatbread. I would highly recommend this place.

Family and I were out for a walk along the greenbelt on Easter when we decided to grab some dinner nearby. Luciano's had good reviews so we decided to give it a try! Upon arriving, a woman greeted us after a few minutes and said we would be seated shortly- there were a lot of open tables and 2 open outside. She said the outside was reserved so we sat inside. We were not offered a high chair for our little one and later I saw there were some stacked up in the bathroom. The woman appeared overwhelmed and was 1 of 2 servers also serving the bar. She wasn't very friendly and it took a while for us to get a server. We ordered right away since we had young kids with us (and most of you know how that goes). We placed our order for dinner and appetizers. We received all of our food at once and our bruschetta came out last (they said it never got put in to the kitchen) but it looked like they served it to another table as those people sat down way after us. Flatbreads and meat balls were pretty good but I would pass on the bruschetta next time. Our actual server was a nice guy and apologized for the wait. Not sure I'd come back or maybe I would but without the kids. Customer service is lacking-really wanted to like this place and leave a good review. Note- when we left there was still a table open outside.

Was there on Father's Day. Their flatbread is yummy and their salad. Not overpriced and great view.

Bopped in here on Sunday morning for a beer (during our race we were running). We thought it would be funny that we were doing a beer crawl while being timed for a race on the greenbelt. Walked into the place, there were two tables taken (outside) and four different people proceeded to say, "We will be right with you," in a span of 5 minutes. Patiently we waited to be seated in the empty place. Finally, I asked the bar keep if we could just order beers real quick and pay for them (empty bar too) and she said, someone will be with you. We said ok. I guess I am more perplexed at the situation and I didn't feel like we were welcomed at all. Finally I said something to my friend like, "Is this weird? Do you feel like the whole situation is weird? Do you want to just leave?" I didn't say it to be rude but more to check if she was confused like myself. The bar keep must have heard us and started asking questions. We told her we were in the middle of a foot race and wanted to pop by for a really quick beer only. It was then that everyone was warmer to us. We got our beer, they brought us water, we paid, and then we left. After that, the service was fine (all 5 minutes of waiting and 7-10 minutes to drink our beer), they turned EXTRA nice. The reason I wanted to redo my initial review is because this is the third time (in a row) I haven't felt welcomed in this establishment. I am easy to get along with and really compassionate to/with the service industry so when I feel unwelcome... there is a big question mark.

Beautiful location, go there if you enjoy: -Being overlooked after having been seated, and then the server forgets to input your drink and appetizer orders. -Paying $10 for teeny-weeny wine pours. -Having your meals delivered cold, crusty, and hard. -Seeing the couple behind you get the wrong food order and being talked into keeping it. -Discussing your dissatisfaction with a smug Manager.

The food her is likely yummy ( if it doesn't sit forever before served) and the atmosphere was nice. Our server... not great. We ordered our drinks and an appetizer. We finished our app and still had no drinks. Finally had to flag her down and ask for them. Then we watched our food sit in the window for over TWENTY MINUTES! We would have said something but we weren't certain it was ours until another member of the staff noticed and our server finally brought our dried out food. I swear she was stoned. Her eyes were barely open. This is a small restaurant. She walked by the food multiple times and served other their food that arrived AFTER us.

Great food and excellent service always have a wonderful time when we go there... not only are the pasta dishes, great but the salads are fantastic. They always have a great meal there and a wonderful place to look at the river..

Food is good, Caesar salad is great. Bathrooms are pretty gross (brown substance on baby changing station and all around looks like it's never actually cleaned) and our water had a bunch of little mystery particles floating in it

My husband and I were on a bike ride on the greenbelt Sunday afternoon and stopped here for lunch. I had the pecan, goat cheese, apple salad with herb chicken--so delicious! My husband got the smoked chicken and beet salad, which was also a hit. Nice spot right on the river (which nice misters) and lots of adult beverage choices. I'd give it 10 stars if possible!

The lasagna soup was barely warm. It seemed like it was left over lasagna and some egg noodle. Not really a soup but a mush. The crostini's were really just everyday toast cut in squares. Nothing special here. The service was good, we were greeted and seated quickly. Location is great, parking a little tricky during peak hours.

Classic Italian, nice dining room, great service and authentic Italian food and specials. On the expensive side but not outrageous. We have gone once a year for several years and it is consistently good.

What a beautiful spot for a restaurant! We managed to snag a seat on the patio at lunch but we'll definitely make a reservation next time. Our server was personable and attentive even though the restaurant was slammed. Bruschetta and caesar salad were delicious. Can't wait to come back!

This place is the best! My family and I came here for Father's Day and got a perfect spot on the patio with beautiful views of the Boise River and Greenbelt. It was definitely busy, but all of our food and drinks came out reasonably fast. The table bread is amazing! Beer was good, food was good, no complaints here. We were greeted immediately by the hosts and sat within a few minutes. Our server, Makayla, was very attentive and kind. She told us about YardArm (right down the street), which we stopped by after and was the perfect way to end our day. This is easily one of my new favorite spots in Boise and we will be back for sure!

The food is excellent. Super clean and healthy We had salads and sandwiches including the hot Italian and the caprese But Isabell, our waitress, made the whole experience just perfect. She is so nice and kind.

I have visited this restaurant about 3-4 times now. Wonderful setting on the Boise River green belt, very relaxing. Be sure to bring sunglasses and sunscreen on sunny days- the umbrellas can only do so much. Also be prepared to wait for a coveted patio table if you arrive at busy times. In addition, It may be easier to park at Esther Simplot park and walk, as there is no parking except on the residential streets which are very limited and numerous no-parking zones. Service is always very good, and food comes quickly. I'm giving 4 stars since I have noticed a decline in food quality. I have ordered the zucchini and mushroom panino (added chicken, $4), and the first time I ordered it came with a generous portion of vegetables and the added chicken; most recently I orders the same sandwich and the vegetables and chicken bits were scarce (I estimate 2tbsp was added)- very disappointing (thanks inflation?) but still good flavor. The burrata caprese was very good with generous portions- enough for 3. Will return, but saddened by the decline of food quality.

We have a lot of visitors during the summertime so we were looking for a spot with a view of the river. This is one of the few places with the view and it was perfect! I admit, we expected a more Italian style menu. We went at lunchtime on a Friday and it was surprising to see mostly sandwiches. That being said, we all Loved our meals. Absolutely start with the baked Brie appetizer! This was by far the highlight of the meal. Several of us got the Salmon sandwich which was cooked to perfection, bread was fresh and it was a good sized serving. I do wish they had some more pasta dish offerings but nonetheless it was a great meal, wonderful service and of course you can't beat the view when you sit on the patio! We will be back with more visitors, for sure!

Man. No matter how well I write this review, it will not even come close to how WONDERFUL our experience was here. I recently moved into the North End, and was biking home from the 34th Market...when I realized, Luciano's has been on my To Do list for a LONG TIME. We locked up our bikes, and were warmly greeted by the Hostess. We asked to sit outside and she took us out right away. The view is amazing. The river, a few bikers/walkers but you are elevated enough where the passer-byers don't bother you at all. Our waitress, Kelsie S deserves a mega High Five. She was just our speed. Casual, but professional - had great insights, and picked the perfect Red Wine for us. The Burrata Appetizer... I mean, I cannot even begin to explain how delish it is! ORDER IT. FREAKIN ORDER IT RIGHT NOW! I opted for the Manicotti and it was full of delicious cheese and sauce. I LOVED IT. Literally ate the whole dish. We cannot WAIT to come back and bring friends & family here. WELL DONE!!!!!!!

Everything was so delicious and it was so nice to be on the patio. The staff were super friendly.

We were just riding our bike in the green belt through garden city to boise & saw this quaint little patio with music playing and they are serving food!!! ( during this quarantine time, but they are in Garden City so they don't have to close ) We ordered the cafe sampler and the Italian sandwich that comes with a house or Cesar salad it was so good! Their blue cheese vinaigrette is wonderful ... even if you don't like blue cheese. 2nd visit -we are just enjoying the light music on the patio again and the beautiful Boise spring weather and the Greenbelt! This time ordered a Tosca (small Hand sandwich) and another house salad with the blue cheese vinaigrette. My tosca was good not super flavorful but good with a crispy breading. Service was a bit slow both times for not being super busy and only having under 20 tables total but, food was good with a fantastic view.

Lovely place to stop by along the Greenbelt! Weather outside was perfect for patio seating. This place also gets extra kudos for playing throwback alternative music from the 2000s. All the food we ordered tasted great! The candied nuts made the salads taste amazing. Chicken cannelloni was like a fettuccine Alfredo enchilada (v yummy). Lasagna was also delicious. I'd recommend parking at Esther Simplot Park across the street then enjoying the view as you walk across the bridge to the restaurant! As most people have mentioned, there is only street parking available on the side of the restaurant.
