I knew better than to sit in the restaurant as it was staffed by waiters trying to grab customers from the street, but since it was the weekend, we found a seat here. The calamari wasn't good, the beer wasn't very cold, but the pizza was delicious. The service wasn't bad, but I think they forgot our pizza, it arrived very late. The restrooms were terrible, and for that reason, I have to deduct a lot of points. I won't recommend this place.

Thank you so much to our server Iman. You gave us an incredible dining experience and helped us celebrate our friend!! Iman and the other staff were kind, accommodating, quick, and went above a beyond from the moment we entered until we left. Everything we ordered was delicious and perfectly portioned. Prices are a tad high, but it’s also New York. The restaurant is smaller and while it handled our 6 person party, I suggest calling ahead if you have a group. Great for date night, meeting with friends or family, maybe okay during the day for kids. But there isn’t a TON of seating so just keep that in mind. I would go here again if I’m ever back in the area!

Google
Service was slow however food came out rapidly which is a huge pet peeve. I don’t want my main course while we are still eating appetizers. Food was good - not the best - not the worst - seafood risotto with white sauce was very bland. Lobster ravioli and stuffed mushrooms were amazing.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Caffe Napoli in Little Italy NYC is a true gem! The pasta is fresh, the sauces are rich, and the pizza is full of flavor. The ambiance feels like a slice of Italy, and the outdoor seating is perfect. Friendly staff and fast service made the experience unforgettable. A must-visit

Google
This is not what used to be 20 years ago. Despite the food being outstandingly delicious like always, the ambiance and the service don’t rise to the expectations. The place looks seriously beat up and not updated in many, many years. Service….not necessarily bad, but very relaxed and bored, could be much better. However, like I said : the food is amazing. The veal piccata is still the best in NYC.

Caffe Napoli: Where Love and Laughter Are Always on the Menu Stepping into Caffe Napoli is like being whisked away on a Vespa ride through the charming streets of Naples—minus the jet lag and with a guaranteed reservation. The ambiance strikes the perfect chord between romantic and lively, making it an ideal spot whether you’re wooing a new flame or sharing a laugh with old friends. The culinary delights are nothing short of amore-inducing. The pasta is so authentically Italian that you might find yourself gesturing wildly with your hands after just one bite. And the pizza? It’s a masterpiece that could make even Michelangelo drop his chisel in admiration. The staff at Caffe Napoli are the true maestros of this symphony. Their warmth and attentiveness make you feel like part of the famiglia, ensuring that every visit is a standing ovation-worthy experience. In summary, if you’re seeking a dining experience that combines romance, humor, and mouthwatering cuisine, Caffe Napoli hits all the right notes. Just be prepared to leave with a full belly and a heart singing ‘That’s Amore.’

As a Chinese palate that’s tasted cuisine from around the world, I have to admit — the way this restaurant prepares salmon with vegetables is absolutely top-tier. It’s the first time I’ve ever had a dish where the natural flavors and balance of the vegetables are brought out to such perfection. An amazing restaurant!

Terrible experience a few summers ago when I found a rubber band in my gelato. One of the servers said it was probably from the asparagus. Unfortunately, they whisked away the ice cream with an asparagus rubber band inside and I was unable to take a photo with the foreign object inside. The photo posted here was before my discovery of the foreign object. I complained to the waiters, and instead of owing up to it and apologizing and trying to appease us, nobody approached us to try to explain and apologize. After insisting on speaking with a manager and waiting for a long time, some guy claiming to be the manager berated me for shouting because it took them at least 30 minutes to come to us and resolve our issue. Yes, that's what he did instead of apologizing or explaining about the unhygienic incident. So, never, never again! It was a harrowing experience and I complained to NYC Consumer Affairs immediately about it at that time, but it never got resolved. Even if it has been some time already and I had forgotten to do an earlier review, I could not make more google reviews without recalling what an awful time me and my friend visiting the city had here. I felt obliged to share. Don't come here.

Yelp
Oh my GOD! Caffe Napoli was amazing tonight. The staff was talented and helpful, the kitchen nailed the northern Italian dishes. I need to marry this place. Regarding food everything was high quality, fresh, and loyal to real old world recipes. I haven't had pasta like this since maybe ever. Again. Thank you guys. You made a special night perfect.

Yelp
My friend recommended that we come here for my birthday dinner and I'm glad we listened to her! Quickly upon walking towards the establishment, the worker who was standing outside greeted us and walked us in. We sat down at one of the tables and the menus were given to us. We ordered: One fettucine alfredo One vodka rigatoni with grilled chicken One chicken parmesan One tiramisu Complimentary bread was given to us from the start. The food took about 15 minutes to be made and all our plates were brought out to us by different servers. The food was all delicious! Everything was flavorful and a good portion size. My noodles were cooked al dente and the grilled chicken was juicy. My friends chicken parmesan was soooo good. The fettucine alfredo my other friend ordered was very creamy and flavorful. We had the tiramisu for dessert and that as well was very good. Service was great and everyone was friendly! The inside is mall but cozy! Im glad we ate here!

Yelp
With so many choices in this area it's hard to sometimes pick a place to eat, as we walked by the gentleman outside convinced us to come in since he mentioned some happy hour specials. Drinks to start we had the Sangria since part of HH it was good, we stuck w this. They start u off w some nice focaccia bread, great when dipped in the olive oil. Appetizers we had the Burrata , yumm so good melts in your mouth, perfect w the arugula salad great w some of the focaccia. Main dishes Tortellini Bolognese was good & the Sorrentina chicken was also very good, great taste to the sauce , nice piece of chicken. Small location inside, service was good & prices are reasonable & normal to the area, we enjoyed our meal.

Yelp
This is one of the best pastas I have ever had. Everything was so good and all the food came out very quick! Place was small but still nice to take a break from the cold.

Yelp
Enjoyed my birthday lunch! Super nice family. Thank so much for making my birthday so special. I had the spaghetti & meat ball dish. Yum. The chocolate moose desert was amazing!! Thank you!! :)

Yelp
We had great time dining here in New Year's Eve. The best cannolis I have had in long time. Their pizza was fresh and nicely topped. Will definitely visit again. And don't miss affogato. Highly recommended.

Yelp
I got FOOD POISONING after dining at this establishment. I was sick for days. Do not patronize this restaurant!!!

Yelp
Great little place! Stopped in for dessert and a drink. Very accommodating staff, everyone's meal around us looked and smelled delicious. Our dessert was wonderful!

Yelp
my friends are regulars here so of course we had to check it out and in none other than little italy we ordered the calamari to start and complimentary bread which was incredibly wonderful. calamari was nothing special but the bread came out warm and buttery i ordered the cavatelli siciliana as my main dish which was quite salty but the eggplant was a nice touch. the portions were huge so it was nice that i had leftovers to eat the next day overall food was mid, service was very quick and everyone was kind plus we were seated pretty immediately. we even got to sit outside which added to the ambiance - love. would recommend.

Yelp
Cafe Napoli is right in the heart of Mulberry St. in little Italy NYC. The bussing strip is full of classic Italian-Italian/American dining so it can be hard to choose a place to dine. However, this place really takes the cake! I personally enjoy dining outside to get a nice view of the iconic street. The staff is inviting and the aroma of the food will certainly captivate you. Hands down, these are the best clams i've had in the city, this is very traditional yet rich. The breadcrumbs are made with the cafes house made focaccia which also comes to the table to snack on. For my entree, I had the classic Italian-American vodka rigatoni paired with a buttery white wine. The flavors were warm and comforting. To top it all off, you've got to try their chocolate cake with house whipped cream on top. This velvety bite will melt in your mouth, although you might be full with pasta!

Yelp
DISAPPOINTING! I come to NYC 2-3 times a year, and when I do I make sure to stop by Caffe Napoli which is one of my favorite spots in Little Italy. I came out on my birthday Monday 02/17/25 with my son and buddy for my usual birthday dinner, and we ordered 2 spaghetti and meatballs and lasagna. The normally would bring you a basket of focaccia, and balsamic and oil to dip the bread in. Keep in mind we were there around 8:40 pm on a Monday and there were no other customers but us. So, I expected to be waited on hand and foot. That did not happen. The waiter was cool, but nothing extraordinary... I had to request bread and the balsamic.. no problem... I ordered a Manhattan cocktail and it lacked alcohol and flavor.. It tased like a watered down version...we then ordered calamari as an appetizer.. The waiter tried to get me to order a $36 appetizer which I declined. The cocktail sauce used for the calamari tasted like spaghetti sauce with no horseradish for flavor (as per usual) not to mention the calamari didn't have the small squids, just the rings which I thought was odd.. they must've gone with a cheaper version and it was very greasy... When the food came out, we noticed the portions shrunk drastically. The meatballs were a little pink on the inside, the dinner tasted ok, but I had a feeling we would have to go get pizza after to get filled up. When the bill came in, I noticed it was $142..I was like wow, theres only 3 of us, what did we order? My son pulled up pictures on his phone from the last 2 birthdays and he can confirm the portions drastically shrunk. 2 plates of spaghetti and meatballs 1 plate of lasagna 1 Manhattan cocktail 1 Calamari I then noticed they charged me an 18% gratuity which was $20 and I thought this was why the waiter was pushing for the $36 appetizer! It all makes sense... the owners don't pay well so they pass on the buck to the customer. The staff gets very lazy because they get the automatic 18% gratuity for lousy to mid service... with that being said.. I'm very disappointed, and I think I am done with this place.. Maybe it's time to go back to De Gennaro across the street.. so sad..

Yelp
"The Fettuccini Alfredo slaps on god." - my 13yo who is hard to impress "I don't want to finish it because then it will be gone." - my 16yo who hates everything "I love the waiter who asked about food allergies before ordering and explained the sauces to us like we weren't stupid tourists." - the Mom We happened to walk in and it was delish.

Yelp
First time to little Italy and it was so fun to see all the cafes and people lining the streets. My friends and I were wanting some wine and snacks and tbh this Cafe was just the closest to where we were standing so we bopped in. The service was outstanding. I would say there are like 5 to 1 staff to customer so we were very well taken care of. The desserts were good and the wine was excellent. A little crowded, but I really liked how comfy the chairs were.

Yelp
Visiting Little Italy and stopping here was a perfect end to our walking and sightseeing around NYC. We were all in for a treat and dessert with coffee since we had a late lunch. Service was quick and they sat us right away. The tables are close together but still a plenty of room to enjoy a meal. Highly recommend'

Chaitra M.

Yelp
Stellar restaurant with stellar food!! For starters the bread here melts in your mouth and is so fluffy and perfectly made. It started our late dinner off right. All the pasta dishes we ordered had the most flavorful and delish sauces even though they were very ordinary pasta dishes. Also, recommend their sangria it's a little strong, but you get what you are paying for. The wait staff was super attentive and made us feel even more cozy and comfortable in this already homey-feeling restaurant. Will definitely be making a trip back here!

Yelp
Decades of experience producing legendary Italian dishes. Grandmother's secret recipes and the younger generation of the family serving. You'll feel right at home.

Yelp
Absolutely 100 thumbs up. From the staff, ambiance, authenticity in food, cannoli's and all. I enjoyed my short time eating my pizza and it was one of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend this place. Very family friendly
google avatar

Yelp
Wow! Absolutely the best food ever! We were exploring Little Italy and wanted to sit for a moment. We came across Caffe Napoli and had our minds blown. The bruschetta was the most delicious I've ever had! The gnocchi was so soft it melted in our mouths. The pizza was also top tier, with amazing tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella. Our server, Guiseppe, was very kind and attentive. On a busy street, we still enjoyed the ambiance and patio. We will certainly be back!
google avatar

Riley S.

Yelp
Loved this place so much! I felt as though we were being treated like royalty. The servers were all helpful. We just came for happy hour which was a great deal but they served us the bread and it was delicious!! 10/10 recommend
google avatar

Sandy J.

Yelp
Tourist trap indeed. We came in asking about the happy hour which they responded that they had. They then proceeded to provide wrong information about pricing. The waiter said the white sangria pitcher was 30, and then after I asked to clarify he said it was actually 50. 30 was a different size. Then when the bill came out we got charged 55 for it. I don't mind the price, it is just very suspicious and shady how they were via communicating prices and charging more. On top of it, they automatically charged 20% tip but their service was slow and I had to ask 3 times before they finally came back to me with what I wanted. The white sangria itself was pretty nice though, but I think this place overall seems a bit sketch.

Yelp
Wonderful food and service. Would recommend this Caffe to anyone in the Little Italy area !

Kris L.

Yelp
Best Italian food we had! As we were struggling to find a place to eat in The Little Italy, this stuck to us and we had to try. We were welcome with many friendly servers as soon as we got in the restaurant. They got us focaccia bread as starters, which we didn't really know to eat it but the server told us how to eat it, which was to pair it with olive oil. My whole group were impressed! All the food we ordered looked very appetizing and delicious. The food was fresh and tasted very homemade. Would come again!

Yelp
Absolutely divine experience. We ordered two chicken dishes that were out of this world. Th is is a very small family run business that has been open for 50 years plus!(?) Their dessert was delicious as well. Coffee was killer. Great espresso machine. The staff was so kind and helped us with several bottles of wine. I definitely recommend this place for the quality of the food, friendly staff, and great service. Until next time!!
google avatar

Betsy S.

Yelp
We came here for dessert and at first they didn't want to let us sit down for it (the same thing has happened a few days before). We convinced him otherwise - and we sat under a heated lamp-and had cappuccinos, tiramisu and cannolis. Always so yummy. Little Italy never disappoints. I was happy to get my cannoli as I was looking for a few days! It's always fun to go to Little Italy. And It never changes from year to year.
google avatar

Kayla H.

Yelp
The food was incredible! It's like tasting the Italian culture. From the starting bread to pizza to zuppa to chicken Francese, entirely mouthwatering. The wait staff was super friendly and gave very attentive service. I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Harmony S.

Yelp
The food and service were wonderful here. We got greeted kindly at the door and quickly seated. We were offered drinks that accommodated our desire for something sweet. I got the pina colada. My boyfriend got a blended strawberry lemonade it was delicious. The food topped these drinks, as this place has THE BEST Fettuccine Alfredo we have ever tasted! My clam dinner with pasta was so good I almost drank the sauce at the table. The service while we were eating was the best service I have ever received. I think we were checked on a total of 4 times and that was just when we had our food in front of us, which took no time, really such a great experience. If you are in Little Italy in New York City this is the SPOT.
google avatar

Michele H.

Yelp
Everything from the experience to the apps to the meal ... Amazing! I loved my Chicken Piccata! The Pinot Grigio was by far the smoothest, best glass of wine I have ever had!!!!
google avatar

Jenn F.

Yelp
This super cute eatery on the corner of Hester had our hearts! We came to the city to celebrate a birthday... the hostess sold us on trying it out the night before so we made reservations. Our server was Luis last night and he was delightful!!! So kind, pulling out all the stops for us- from the help with the table and making sure our seating was perfect to the little sample of delicious housemade Limoncello to the little chocolate covered strawberries for a birthday. We had rigontini alla vodka, fettucine alfredo with chicken, and a dish that was filet ravioli.... It was all divine right in the heart of little italy! We loved it! Thank you!!
google avatar

Kevin R.

Yelp
Can't go wrong with espresso. Good, strong, aromatic flavor. Was mid day and we got seated immediately. The Little Italy area is really nice. It was nice to sit on the patio and take in the environment and get some caffeine to fuel more walking around.
google avatar

Gerardo E.

Yelp
We had two cannolis and two coffees, so this review is based on the cafe food. The coffees were reasonably priced at ~$5. The cannolis were about $8 a piece which were fairly expensive. Our waiter was attentive and it was a nice environment to be at during a warm day. I thought the cannolis were actually really good, but I think the price is a bit much for what they are. Total came out to $31 with tax/tip which for two cannolis and coffees seems like a bit much.

Yelp
9/16/22 - it's been a few years since we've been here. It was our go-to Italian restaurant when we were wandering Little Italy and Chinatown. Some of the reasons were: there was no "butta dentro" outside and rip-off tourist menus. It's one of the few places that has cannelloni on the menu. I got hooked on them decades ago at my late in-laws house. I could never make them the same at home. It's also something that you don't just make two, and that's it. There were several servers attending our table. I don't think they "forgot" us; it was a beautiful day the first weekend of San Gennaro, so the street was a little crowded and the restaurant busy. Getting to the curbside tables was a challenge for them. It was as close to dining in Trastevere as you can get in New York. No trying to turn tables as fast as possible. Relaxing, savoring the flavors and enjoying the aromas. Conversation with the one you love. Whatever main course ordered it is seasoned perfectly. There's no reason for salt and pepper shakers on the table. This is one tradition I hope endures - dining not just eating.
google avatar

Matthew L.

Yelp
I am very picky on sauce. I had the veal Parm. Which was tender and crispy and drum roll please..... The sauce was good. Bread was good. Olive oil with garlic was good. $30 I will keep this on my list.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was AMAZING! We went there last Friday for my "milestone birthday" dinner. The staff was incredible, and the food was out of this world. We had a hot appetizer plater that was just overflowing! It was a great suggestion from our server- we were full from that, however that did not stop us from ordering a main meal. I had the chicken sorrentina with linguine, and had to take it home. Absolutely delicious (even the next day!) Another one that was a huge hit at our dinner was the Branzino Al Cartoccio. The tirimusu was also to die for. Between the food and the delightful staff we will be back! Thank you so much again!

Yelp
Little Italy is always a fun time. Caffe Napoli especially, is the hot spot for a lively crowd, music and great eats. Whether it's appetizers or dessert, there's bound to be a favorite dish to find here. This is one of my top three places to hit up whenever I want to dine in this neighborhood. Inside dining rooms feature bistro style tables and regular. There are multiple dining rooms and they even have outdoor seating for the warmer months. They are not heated when the weather gets cool so try to enjoy the al fresco option when it's available. This visit was for a snack believe it or not. I came at an off time for a full meal but after shopping and running around town, we just wanted to sit down and enjoy some small bites from a tried and true spot. In my group, party of five and everyone wanted something different as you can see from the photos. The cannoli was my guilty pleasure and I totally recommend it. My kiddo really enjoyed her rigatoni a la vodka - simply satisfying. We were also here on a cool winter's day so soup was in order. Warmed us up quick!

Devin A.

Yelp
Is it touristy? Yes. Is it a bit pricey? Yes. It's Little Italy. What do you expect? It's a small place with perfect pasta, delicious Sangria, great service, and house made cheesecake and an olive oil to die for. I'm serious, the oil will haunt my dreams along with the perfectly toasted bread to dip. We had Cannelloni, Chicken Parm, and pasta Alfredo with chicken. The chicken was crispy and moist without being greasy. The noodles were Al dente. The cannelloni had cheese pull forever. Forget about it. Everything was exquisite.
google avatar

daniela a.

Yelp
10/10 the food is incredible, get my combo: chicken francese with rigatoni vodka, you won't regret it.

Sara T.

Yelp
Was hoping for a less touristy experience but was left disappointed. Also waiter kept saying he'd bring bread but never did although the other 3 people in there got some.

Alessio D.

Yelp
Wow this place made me almost cry that's how good it was. I'm Italian born and raised and I haven't had real authentic Italian food in a while, the carbonara's were like the one my grandma used to make and the pizza was unbelievable good.the drinks also were really refreshing and rich in alcohol so we never can complain for that hahah. I also got to meet the grandma(owner of the restaurant) such a lovely lady and also our server was so friendly and willing to help if we had any questions.thank you guys for having us and we'll see you very soon,Grazie Mille.

Yelp
If u want Italian pasta COME HERE, pasta is extremely amazing, the food come quickly and the waiters is sooo good. I look around to see and this was the best of choice. Inside is very cozy and comfortable (:

Yelp
I found this place by accident ! Was walking past and the host actually called us over . The venue is nice the service was good and the food was really good ! I'd definitely come back
google avatar

Nadia A.

Yelp
RATING BASED ON DRINKS ONLY! We happened upon this spot after walking around Chinatown and Little Italy. They do Happy Hour on Fridays and it was beautiful outside so we grabbed a seat. The service was a bit slow, but the espresso martini was one of the best I've had. We sat for a while and just enjoyed outside. The Margarita wad decent as well, but the Espresso Martini was the star! We didn't try food, so I have no clue if food is good lol.
google avatar

James D.

Yelp
Best Italian restaurant on this street. Waiters were intense and anticipated each need. Food was perfectly cooked and packed with flavors!!! Steady busy and wait times were under 10 minutes for each group we saw. Highly recommend. Enjoy.
google avatar

Michele G.

Yelp
Super cute cafe in little italy. We just went for dessert but it was soo good. We got tea, espresso, tiramisu, and pistachio gelato. The atmosphere was unmatched and able to sit outside as the overall venue is small- cute decor and platting. We had really fast service and they let us sit as long as we wanted. Really loved the tiramisu as it was nice and creamy- recommend!

Ojozlindo G.

Yelp
Came here with a friend during the festival. It's an ok restaurant, I wouldn't say go or don't go. Food and service are average.
google avatar

Marie S.

Yelp
Stopped in for late night coffee and treat and was not disappointed. Staff was friendly and gave suggestions. Food was delicious. Easy to find since it is located at intersection, and sign is visible. Big desert selection.

Tracey K.

Yelp
The food is amazing because it is all Italian ingredients. The pizza is authentic Neapolitan and tastes like we are back in Italy. His hands are kissed by the pizza gods . Pay the extra 2 dollars per plate and get the porcini ravioli (it is like a seduction of the palate) and the cavettelli with eggplant

Joe F.

Yelp
I can only speak to the red and white sangrias...Amazing! We will be back for drinks soon.
google avatar

Daphne H.

Yelp
ordered grubhub from this place; bread was stale, vegetables were covered in grease, mussels did not taste fresh, eggplant was flavorless

Robert B.

Yelp
I ordered from Grubhub. The pizza I ordered was completely dry and also VERY salty. "Mama's salad" was completely drenched in dressing so that everything was soggy, and the spagetthi and meatballs hardly had any sauce. NEVER AGAIN.
