Caffè Rojano

"There’s always a lively buzz at this smart brasserie. The glass-enclosed terrace is a great spot and service is some of the friendliest around. An extensive menu keeps Mediterranean influences to the fore and has some playful touches; the ‘whoopsey splunker’ sharing dessert is a must." - Michelin Inspector

Absolutely fantastic food service and ambience what more can you ask for. Been 3 times always good need to book.. The ribs of the scale, Arancini delicious and squid perfection, wine superb will be back. We took our dog so your seated in the front please please fit ceiling blinds as when sunny and hot it does get very hot and sunny. This is I know not a problem for people without dogs but we would off had desserts coffees and probably another bottle of wine.. 10-10 will return

An excellent superb lovely dine experience with friends. The food is amazing, can’t compare neither can’t express in words, we ordered varieties. The staffs are very friendly too with a “smile” and made us really feel homey and happy, truly dedicated hardworking staffs. Customer service is very satisfactory. The coffee they offer is one in a million, the strength and aroma — on top of recommendation if you’re coffee lover. The atmosphere is full of vibes, could stay for hours. This cafe restaurant is a top food place recommendation! 🙂 Only notice that tables are too close with other tables, limited space. Nevertheless, it does not affect the great service and great food!

Our waiter Sam was fantastic (a true asset to Rojanos) he was super friendly and took the time to explain the menu, which made us feel really welcome. The conservatory was a lovely spot to enjoy our meal. The food was delicious, especially the prawn pasta we both had! Definitely a great experience!

Food amazing. We were sat under the staircase. Felt like 2nd class customers even though there were many empty tables. The toilet was up 2 flights of stairs which isn't ideal . I have mobility issues, so I left needing to 'go'. The lady greeting us was lovely and gave me a birthday card....nice touch. Service was awful. We had to wait forever to be addressed, yet other (looked wealthy) families were inundated with attention. The food...fabulous. will go again only for that.

We had the OG Share and Tear starter, which was very nice. Then the the three pasta dishes. The chicken was amazing, but the pork and shellfish were average. The Tiramisu was bland. Coffee was very weak and texture very soft. Finally had some cocktails which were above average. Service was good overall.

We were excited about Caffe Rojano and the food certainly did not disappoint, we were both thrilled with our dishes with my wife (who ordered a veggie pizza), claiming it was one of the best, if not the best pizza she’s ever had. The only thing that let it down was the service. We could see they were very busy and possibly short staffed which left us waiting 15 mins or so for our order to be taken and then about 30/40 for our starters to arrive.

We’ve come to Rojanos twice on this trip, and a big part of that is thanks to Sam. He was so warm and welcoming, and his recommendations were spot on—especially the pork chop and the cod, which were both absolutely delicious. The restaurant itself is fantastic, with a great atmosphere and top-quality food. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch. Seated in the sun room with all the dogs. Dogs were all well behaved so wasn't that bad. Just not used to so many dogs! Had pizzas. They were pretty good. Too big for a lunch. Only down side was looking into the table and seeing all the bits of food and whatever.. I'll post a pic. Waitress and manager very friendly. Was a nice place for lunch.

Yelp
The good: Let me start with the best: the food. Really nice. Although, the burger was so high it was quite unpractical. I asked, and the beef is local. I asked about the chips, and was told the chips are not made in the restaurant. They looked standard to me. Tables are spaced fairly far apart. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. Cutlery, crockery of good quality. The bathroom is alright. Soap and hand lotion. Upstairs is prettier than downstairs, in my opinion. However, when I was there it was out of season and quiet so upstairs was closed. The bad: The prices in this restaurant are too high. A soup costs 9.50 pounds for example. That would have been alright if the service was of the same standard as the food. It is not. It is so mediocre that my rating drops from 5 to 3 stars. On the other hand I must admit that I am from the continent and have hardly ever found quality service in a British restaurant. But you judge: My friend sat down, while I asked where I can hang my coat. This meant I came to the table one minute after him. The waitress had greeted him and told him today's special and was about to walk off, when I said I didn't hear that sorry. The waitress took our drink order. A minute later a male waiter came to take our drink order too. A minute later a thrid waiter came to serve the drinks. Chaos. The waiter who took out food order served our food too, but couldn't remember which one of us ordered what! One waiter used the word 'like' (the way American kids do) about 12 times in one minute. In other words, service that is quite normal for 75 a regular restaurant. Just not one that is fairly expensive.

Yelp
Great little Italian run by Paul Ainsworth of No6 fame, as you would expect service is good and the food lovely. My only quibble it's s little pricey but this is Padstow. During the summer you will need to book several days in advance for dinner, out of season whilst still busy we found getting table easy enough. They also do takeaway Pizza which is great!
