"There’s always a lively buzz at this smart brasserie. The glass-enclosed terrace is a great spot and service is some of the friendliest around. An extensive menu keeps Mediterranean influences to the fore and has some playful touches; the ‘whoopsey splunker’ sharing dessert is a must." - Michelin Inspector

What a treat. We managed to get a table for lunch by some careful juggling by the lovely front of house chap. The food was devine - I scooped out every bit of my truffle mayonnaise I had with the arancini as it was too good to leave. However everyone one of our dishes were just superb and the three of us were sharing each other’s picks just to get a taste of the lovely dishes. No room for pud so we’ll shave that treat for next time. I also had one of the best americanos I’ve ever had. Prices were very reasonable and at a level that sits just below treat level so more frequent trips are very much on the cards. However, there some little things that also set this place above others. Tables that could seat four were set for two so you didn’t feel like you were taking up seats from others. Service was discreet but very friendly. The head of house asking how our starters were after they had been cleaned away but he knew who had what. Another touch was the baby changing table in the gents - still a rarity these days. The place also wasn’t cramped. There was obviously a greater concern over patron’s experiences rather than cramming tables in to make more money. Well done Mr Ainsworth, many could learn from you. We’ll be back.

An excellent superb lovely dine experience with friends. The food is amazing, can’t compare neither can’t express in words, we ordered varieties. The staffs are very friendly too with a “smile” and made us really feel homey and happy, truly dedicated hardworking staffs. Customer service is very satisfactory. The coffee they offer is one in a million, the strength and aroma — on top of recommendation if you’re coffee lover. The atmosphere is full of vibes, could stay for hours. This cafe restaurant is a top food place recommendation! 🙂 Only notice that tables are too close with other tables, limited space. Nevertheless, it does not affect the great service and great food!

A great restaurant with beautiful flavours. We stopped for lunch on a visit to the town, it was not too busy and is dog friendly. They have a few areas, down stairs, upstairs that also had a bar and restrooms and they have a little glass room area. We had a small dog and there were also other dogs, we were able to sit in the glass room which gave us a beautiful view of the streets. We had 2 pizzas between 4 people and they were absolutely amazing, by far the best I have had and the flavours in these pizzas were incredible! I would definitely recommend for dinner or lunch and would 100% go back again. The staff were very friendly and made the experience really amazing. They loved dogs which made it such a dog friendly restaurant. As you walk in, you can also see the pasta being hand made! If you like, you can also see Paul Ainsworth’s cookbook.

Caffe Rojano by Paul Ainsworth has been on my Padstow Bucket list for quite a while We picked out the two dishes off the main menu that I have had my eyes on for the last few weeks since I booked CORNISH COD £28 - Butter roasted Cod, smoked paprika pancetta & chorizo Tuscan bean stew, samphire, basil pesto CORNISH PORK CHOP £32 - Philip Warren dry aged pork chop & crackling, Chimichurri, gravy, Graany Smith’s apple Sides wise we shared CAFE ROJANO FRIES £6 - seaweed, rosemary, Parmesan, triple mustard mayonnaise Also some Tenderstem Broccoli £8.50 I loved the pork especially the crackling, the mix of Chimichurri and Gravy was excellent and the Apple once mixed in was a great accompaniment I enjoyed eating the pork with the fries and broccoli but to be honest a side of new or roasted potatoes would have gone better The Cornish Cod was a really tasty dish, perfectly cooked fish, thick and meaty cut. The Tuscan bean stew was everything we hoped for with a rich tomato and pepper sauce mixed with sweet and tangy chorizo and smoky bacon. Could eat this all day long and every day if you served it to me 😍 Really glad we finally made it here and glad we pushed the boat out a little more as it was well worth it 😎

We pre-booked for a Thursday evening meal and were seated right away. Being a birthday meal, the restaurant also provided a handwritten card which was a very nice touch. Very attentive service and delicious food across all 3 courses. The restaurant has a premium feel whilst still feeling like a place that you can feel comfortable and relaxed in. A fantastic spot in Padstow and we'll definitely be popping in again next time we're down. Highly recommend the cabbage side dish, ox cheek ragu and the whoopsy splunker!

Google
Absolutely fantastic food service and ambience what more can you ask for. Been 3 times always good need to book.. The ribs of the scale, Arancini delicious and squid perfection, wine superb will be back. We took our dog so your seated in the front please please fit ceiling blinds as when sunny and hot it does get very hot and sunny. This is I know not a problem for people without dogs but we would off had desserts coffees and probably another bottle of wine.. 10-10 will return

We were in the outer area Under glass roof and although pleasant a little cramped. Some confusion regarding starters and mains and l think l had two starters, it was sorted and we settled down to some nice tasty meal. Our waitress was l believe in trading but she was very pleasant and did a good job.

We've often walked past this restaurant but were always hesitant to go in, as it looked quite expensive. We finally decided to try it for lunch today, and we're glad we did. While it is on the pricey side, the excellent food and service were well worth it. The only disappointment was the coffee. It was clearly from an automatic machine, which is something you don't expect from a restaurant of this calibre.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch. Seated in the sun room with all the dogs. Dogs were all well behaved so wasn't that bad. Just not used to so many dogs! Had pizzas. They were pretty good. Too big for a lunch. Only down side was looking into the table and seeing all the bits of food and whatever.. I'll post a pic. Waitress and manager very friendly. Was a nice place for lunch.

Yelp
The good: Let me start with the best: the food. Really nice. Although, the burger was so high it was quite unpractical. I asked, and the beef is local. I asked about the chips, and was told the chips are not made in the restaurant. They looked standard to me. Tables are spaced fairly far apart. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. Cutlery, crockery of good quality. The bathroom is alright. Soap and hand lotion. Upstairs is prettier than downstairs, in my opinion. However, when I was there it was out of season and quiet so upstairs was closed. The bad: The prices in this restaurant are too high. A soup costs 9.50 pounds for example. That would have been alright if the service was of the same standard as the food. It is not. It is so mediocre that my rating drops from 5 to 3 stars. On the other hand I must admit that I am from the continent and have hardly ever found quality service in a British restaurant. But you judge: My friend sat down, while I asked where I can hang my coat. This meant I came to the table one minute after him. The waitress had greeted him and told him today's special and was about to walk off, when I said I didn't hear that sorry. The waitress took our drink order. A minute later a male waiter came to take our drink order too. A minute later a thrid waiter came to serve the drinks. Chaos. The waiter who took out food order served our food too, but couldn't remember which one of us ordered what! One waiter used the word 'like' (the way American kids do) about 12 times in one minute. In other words, service that is quite normal for 75 a regular restaurant. Just not one that is fairly expensive.

Yelp
Great little Italian run by Paul Ainsworth of No6 fame, as you would expect service is good and the food lovely. My only quibble it's s little pricey but this is Padstow. During the summer you will need to book several days in advance for dinner, out of season whilst still busy we found getting table easy enough. They also do takeaway Pizza which is great!
