A Running List of Los Angeles Restaurant Closures in 2024 - Eater LA

"For 45 years, Caffe Roma has been a streetside destination for Italian food and coffee in the Golden Triangle of Beverly Hills. The restaurant announced its closure on January 1, 2024, though its sister restaurant Cafe Amici will continue to operate, which means longtime fans will still have a place to get eggplant parmigiana and lasagna with beef ragu. Eater spoke with a representative from Caffe Roma who said the landlord had doubled the rent, which made it more challenging to operate despite nearly half a century of history in the neighborhood." - Eater Staff

Beverly Hills Restaurant Caffe Roma Faces Misconduct Accusations During Protest - Eater LA

"Twenty people including five former employees of Caffe Roma protested inside the Beverly Hills restaurant Friday, July 13, presenting allegations of sexual harassment, tip theft, failure to pay overtime, denial of meal and rest breaks, untimely payments, and lack of transparency regarding sick days to chef and owner, Agostino Sciandri. Protest organizers and restaurant advocacy group Restaurant Opportunities Center of Los Angeles hand-delivered the complaint and gave owners one week to respond before resorting to legal action and more protests." - Mona Holmes

My family used to go here a decent amount when I was younger. I had always loved it, decided to come back after having not gone in probably 15 years or so. The food overall was very solid, but the service was slightly slow. The pizza funny enough tasted just like I remembered it, in a good way. It did seem a bit empty, I don't know if it was just the time of day/week we chose to go, but it does feel like they need to invest a little into updating the place here and there. My wife was thinking it'd be cool if they had like a little Italian market in the space, kind of like Bay Cities. Either way, looking forward to coming back again.

Don’t be mislead by my rating system, realistic 5 star visits are rare and it isn’t that this restaurant was ‘bad’ … I am just not a fan of inflated prices based solely on location. The fare was enjoyable although walking distance from Rodeo Drive, I expected a little more. Dining outside near the road deflected my focus away from the fact that I have had better food at half the price. Had this not been a birthday trip for my girlfriend, this review would have been a bit harsher. A bit more research could have possibly led us to a better venue but unfortunately, we were a little too close to hangry stages to continue that route. All in all, I do not regret the choice but I do not think I would return.

Google
I came on a Tuesday and there was a salsa lesson in progress. The festive ambiance definitely was a good pairing to the drinks and food I had. The pizza was simply good. The lentil soup had a good balance between thin, tasty, and crunchy taste. The music got me to dance several songs.

I decided to have luch here after shopping at the 260 sample sample across. It was sunny and I wanted to eat outdoors. Miguel our server was friendly and quick. He recommended a couple of happy hour dishes as I just wanted a quick bite for me and my husband. I ordered the octopus salad (delicious), the mushroom and sausage "individual pizza", meatballs and eggplant parmigiana. Their Litchi martini was amazing. The rosé from the happy hour list was decent. I will definitely go back! Thanks Miguel!!

This restaurant falls into the average category for me. The lobster was disappointingly subpar. While the services were commendable, the food didn't live up to the overall dining experience. It lacks that spark, although it does succeed in filling you up.

We had dinner at the Roma in Beverly Hills last night and it was excellent Italian food! 2 hours free parking is just a block up un N Canon Dr, additional time is $2.50/hour which is not bad for Beverly Hills. They have gas heaters for the folks sitting outside and the temperature inside the restaurant was ideal. Food was excellent, we had Pasta, Chicken and a pizza. While everything was really good, we'll certainly return for the Pizza, tastes just as one would expect it in Italy. Location is great! As it was a pleasant December evening we went for a short stroll over to Rodeo Drive which is less than 5 minutes walking distance to admire the X-Mas decorations and lights. Prices are decent considering the location. Once again, pizza was hands down the best I've ever eaten in Los Angeles.

Google
Italian restaurant close to Rodeo Drive. Outdoor seating was comfortable. Waiters were attentive and service was fairly quick. Ordered the mussels to share which were delicious, as well as the artichoke salad that had an amazing lemon zest. For mains we all ordered fish, branzino was over salted but loved the salmon, it was crunchy and flavorful. Their coffee is great. Prices are high.

Google
Update (1-29-23): I came back to eat here again, and they were closed. They space was a sign with a number to call. This is what's on their site: "Thank you for the continued support of Caffe Roma for the last 45 years. We are closing the current location in January, but we will continue serving our cherished patrons at our sister restaurant, Cafe Amici." -------From my original visit; Our server was excellent. He was very attentive. Bathrooms need some TLC. There is outdoor seating. Food was good even though I was hoping for better.

Yelp
Excellent service and great food I recommend the Minestrone, carpaccio di Manzo, pasta amatriciana (when they have it) which is made with guanciale, pappardele wild board is great, veal Milanese and ossobuco are delicious. Great place for lunch.

Yelp
Good food, we tried their happy hour menu which is like tapas, they were all very good. Service was good. Prices were reasonable for Beverly Hills. Restroom was clean.

Yelp
Been there many many times. Sadly, on yesterday's visit with friends, both services as food were mediocre at best. We were four - and while the waiter took the order for my wife's Aperol Spritz he did, for whatever reason, no drink order from the rest of us. Then, my friend's entree came before her starter. His response was rather meh. I had the grilled Octopus, and the arugula was ... not eatable. As I said, we have been there many many times, and this was their weakest performance, I am afraid. Other than that, I can recommend the place. Make sure you check out their Happy Hour menu - good all Sunday :-)

Yelp
I always love coming to Caffe Roma because it never disappoints! Food quality and prices are perfect! I came back again on a Wednesday night around 9:30, it wasn't busy. I was able to get seated quickly with no reservations. To start, I got the Fried Calamari from the Happy Hour menu. Portion is on the smaller side when you order from the Happy Hour menu but I think it's perfect. For the entrée I decided to try the Tagliolini Cacio e Pepe Pasta. It was my first time trying Cacio e Pepe and it was everything I expected! It's more of a lighter version of an Alfredo Pasta. I highly recommend this dish if you love pasta or are looking for something new to try. As always, the Sausage & Mushroom Pizza is a must. The waitress was even nice enough to give a side of chili oil that originated in the South of Italy. However, I think the service could use some work. The waitress was a bit awkward but she was friendly and got my food out as quickly as possible. Overall, I'm looking forward to trying other dishes on their menu such as the Orecchiette Pesto!

Yelp
They have a good happy hour that goes pretty late that we wanted to check out. Some dishes were hits and some were misses. The spaghetti was a hit. The pasta in a pizza bowl was weird. I would go back and try other things. We sat at the bar so service was fine. Ambiance was not lively but not quiet on a Tuesday night, more people were sitting down for dinner when we left around 8:30pm.

Yelp
Food was horrible and so was the atmosphere and guests. Rudy, the manager was rude and inconsiderate. He cares more about his personal friends and connections ordering one happy hour appetizer than patrons spending $200+. I've never had such a disturbing experience from someone who claims to have hospitality history. Blatant lies. These people are disgusting and classless. My friend and I were verbally harassed by a bitter single diner who didn't even order an entree or drink. We were there for 5 hours, tipped 25%, and were having a lovely time with everyone there until... Three patrons accosted us for laughing and talking. LAUGHING AND TALKING. RUDY THE MANAGER'S response was confidently misogynistic, degrading, and unprofessional. I wonder if this bargain bin establishment knows that if music is playing and patrons are happy that noise it inevitable? As someone who has worked in the industry for years, this was so sad. I regret our tip deeply as no one should have gotten anything extra. Seems like they're only used to miserable, lonely, guests. So sad. My appetite has been ruined for the foreseeable future. Do not come here. Barf.

Yelp
Lunch at Caffe Roma, BH, has become a cherished ritual for my daughters and me. Every visit feels like a culinary journey, with the Calamari Salad and Truffle Ravioli consistently being our standout favorites. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance - chic yet familiar, effortlessly blending a chill, lounge-like vibe that we've grown so fond of. A nod to our regular server, Nima, who never fails to elevate our experience with his genuine warmth and attention. Truly, a haven we find ourselves returning to time and again.

Yelp
Does anybody know why this place has been closed for a while !? It used to be a convenient hangout. We've been going by this place since new year and no action ! Even the hair salon next door been closed too...

Yelp
Ambience Hospitality Great food Caffe Roma was a great idea for an after work meet up with my girlfriend and I. The food was tasty. My drink was perfect! (Not too strong and also not weak) My pasta was great but the chopped chicken they provided in the side was a bit dry and flavorless. I love eating outdoors but just wished the seating arrangements were different. Overall, great place with great service.

Yelp
Be AWARE - Caffe Roma is putting a 20% tip on their bill with no notice. You are even paying it on Tap water . See bill We have supported this establishment all thru Covid but to put a tip on is ludicrous for a party of 2. I get it for say 6 or more but for 2 is highway robbery. Early I dropped in to have a cocktail- Just One , and One person - Same 20% . It is not on the menu like most reputable establishments. We are done here .. Too many options available.

Yelp
Good food, great service, and even better with good company! The pappardelle was amazing, the scotch selection is good, and the location is dangerous- in the best way. I can enjoy a meal, grab the finest linens, pick up a watch, and get my hair done on the same side of N canon! Had the best time conversing with my mentor and good friend here, & was able to stop by my beloved GHR across the street. This is a great low-key power lunch spot, and I'll be back!

A B.

Yelp
Went and ordered 4-5 things off the happy hour menu Portions were **not** as pictured in the menu, they were 1/3 the size for the steak. The pasta's were OK, and lamb quality was 4/10. You'll also be charged 18% gratuity if you choose happy hr.

Yelp
I had a lovely dinner here at Caffe Roma a few Saturdays ago. It was a bit of a last minute decision, so we did not have time to make reservations. Luckily, it wasn't terribly busy so our party of 4 was seated outside almost immediately. We started off with the Prosciutto e Melone. I was very excited to try this since I've been hearing so much about how great this combination is. Unfortunately, I was left wanting more. I wasn't a fan of the prosciutto with the melon, and everyone else agreed. We all ended up eating the prosciutto and melon separately. For my entree I went with the Orecchiette Pesto. It was delicious! The pasta was perfectly cooked and the pesto was amazing. I also loved the burrata that came on top of it. My only complaint is regarding the busboys. When one of my friends was almost done with his food, he stood next to him and waited about 30 seconds or so for him to finish eating. He even tried to grab the plate several times before he was done. I found this to be a bit strange and confusing.

Yelp
The service was terrible the night we were there. I had to get up 3 times to ask for a waiter or to see the manager!
google avatar

Nicole B.

Yelp
Nice staff, decent daily happy hour in the front, DELICIOUS Brussel Sprouts - they had a yummy grilled flavor that made them taste so good. The other food was less memorable, but it's a more adorable stop in the area if you just need some quick sustenance. They had a couple of Italian beers as well.

Yelp
Great spot, affordable, not pretentious Beverly Hills location with a full Italian menu. Great vibe, often with live music. If you are Italian you will feel at home, if you are not, they will make sure you will feel like you are!

Yelp
Mushroom pizza is perfect to start instead of bread. Meatballs were AMAZING. I enjoyed tuna tartare with avocado(seasoning was so good). Octapus is something you must try. Oh and they have beautiful happy hour so I had mango cocktail for $10! Check their happy hours! Pasta ... pasta... blew my mind.. just so good. I had tagliolini with black truffle(you can add) and the flavor, texture of pasta, everything was perfect. My husband had seafood pasta, and it became his favorite pasta. Ambience was so cozy and comfy. I will visit next week and try fish dishes. It looked very delicious.

Yelp
It's really hit and miss! I guess it depends on which day you go. it would be nice to be greeted with a big beautiful smile considering the prices.

Yelp
Highly recommend coming for their happy hour or simply a drink before heading out, parking is available in front but it's best to park in the back. From the host to the bartenders, everyone was amazing. Definitely Elena the manager, such a sweetheart & Jessica for pouring amazing drinks. We came for my anniversary & had the best time. They even have a Dj on weekends that made the place a great vibe & everyone was enjoying themselves. Just a reminder it's Beverly Hills so expect the unexpected here but definitely recommend getting seated at the bar or their patio Food 8/10 Drinks 10/10 Service 10/10

Yelp
The ambiance here is really nice since the outdoor seating here has a couch that you can relax and enjoy the food. I enjoyed the mushroom and sausage pizza with meat pasta. To top it off we got a glass if Malbec

Vinay K.

Yelp
Terrible service. Waiters don't even attend customers. I waited for 20 mins and I had to ask the staff to attend me. I would never go here again.

Yelp
I never thought I'd say this but the food was DISGUSTING.. this place used to be good and packed before the pandemic, unfortunately now its dead, bad service, and food is gross no quality. Ambience was off.

Yelp
Caffe Roma is an Italian restaurant on Canon Drive in Beverly Hills. This restaurant has been here for over 40 years. Ownership changed about 10 years ago, but the food remains delightfully delish. Usually frequent my fav Italian restaurant IL Pastaio which is steps away. Today being Mothers Day, every restaurant was packed and super crowded with waiting time for a table. The current manager at Caffe Roma had been inviting me to dine here and so I finally did. It was over a year since my last visit here and that was not a positive experience and my last review echoed my dissatisfaction. Dinner experience was much improved. Ordered the pesto linguini pasta. The pasta was organic handcrafted good but the pesto was not ravingly good, just ok. The pesto pasta paired well with the salmon. The grilled salmon and mashed potatoes were fresh and seasoned and cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. Service from the restaurant manager was cordial and accommodating, he welcomed me and Fendi. We sat outside patio with the heating lamps nearby. The waitress Erika was professional, knowledgeable about the menu and nice to me and Fendi. Erika brought out a doggy menu and offered a bowl of water...dog friendly here. Servers were also efficient and nice. The restaurant has a nice bar lounge with nice melodic music of Astrid Gold playing. The portions were substantial; finished the salmon and potatoes. Boxed the pasta and the seasoned flat bread appetizer. Overall a pleasant dinner experience worth a return and recommend.

Yelp
More than five stars ! Went here on Monday . Yum!!! Great food and service ! Pizza is great ! The rotisserie chicken and potatoes so delicious ! And don't forget to order the cannoli ! The best there is west of Chicago ! Maybe even made better than Chicago now ! I will be back -- we went there quite a bit before the pandemic and finally we can enjoy this restaurant once again ! Sooo delicious! LSI

Yelp
So far so good as this is my new neighborhood for work. Right in the heart of Beverly Hills, this is one of my spot for a drink and food. It's a pretty cool open feel restaurant that has a great vibe and ambiance. Perfect for people watching regardless if your sitting inside or out side on the patio. The decor is amazing. Top notch with everything, what else do you expect. Menu has a great selection of dishes as well as a great selection of cocktails on their cocktails list. They offer a variety of small dishes, as like happy hour or appetizers sizes. Plenty to choose from. We tried the shrimp tacos, truffle fries, the steak, calamari, margarita pizza and the chicken skewers. Everything was great and full of flavor. Perfect for lunch or dinner. It was a tad bit pricey for your everyday meal, depending on what you order. The small dishes aren't that filling hence we ordered a few to go around. Service was great. Definitely would come back for a cocktail and a meal.

Always delicious food and amazing service! And very authentic Italian. My family and friends and I love coming here. Best Italian in the heart of Beverly Hills!

Yelp
This place is so bad I feel I felt compelled to leave a review. It's really bad. First the food felt like it was bought at a grocery store and made in the kitchen. The quality was just awful. Caeser salad -. The lettuce was YELLOW. Like the cheapest possible romaine lettuce you could buy at the store. It was yellow, hard, and just bad. The dressing felt like it comes from a bottle. The croutons were stale and there were 3 in the entire salad that was $18!! Unreal Hawaiian pizza- yes I know some of you instantly hate me for ordering that but here we are. The cheese was 100% bagged cheap cheese. The pineapple was 100% canned pineapple. I know bc I have had that pineapple before. It had ZERO flavor. The ham felt like deli meat. Bad deli meat. My stomach is already churning. Possibly one of the worst pizzas I have ever had. Seafood spaghetti. Just overly salty. The noodles were overcooked. The shrimp were clearly frozen and cooked badly. The mussels were stringy and burnt. The "calamari" I question if it's really calamari honestly is rubbery. It's awful. Oaxacan old fashion is so sugary and it's PINK?! I mean wtf I can't even try for dessert. One soft the worst experiences I've had at a restaurant In ages. For a "fun" addition- the people at the next table with the awful botched plastic surgery wouldn't stop singing out loud to awful live "music" Honestly I couldn't have made a better meal at home and I'm not a cook. This food reminded me of Kitchen Nightmares. I feel like something is seriously wrong here and it's everything.

Yelp
Steak was good specially when it's well done. The food presentation was great. Service was good

Yelp
My birthday dinner was magical at this place! I enjoyed the food and and my seat inside. My waitress Elena was an absolute angel. Courteous, kind, attentive, and, charming. She really made a birthday girl feel special :) The first time a waitress made me feel that way. I will never forget your customer service Elena ! You went above and beyond to make my birthday a joyful experience. Thank You So Much !!!! I am truly grateful YOU were my waitress.

Yelp
It's been years since I've eaten in a restaurant whose food was so bad and whose prices were so obscene. Paltry serving sizes and horrificly overpriced menu items were only supported by relatively decent service . I'm never going back to this joke............

Yelp
Caffe Roma has a great menu- there is something for everyone! We went later in the evening, but they have a great happy hour with $10 cocktails. All of the drinks were great and strong. We all loved our meals and I can't recommend the pesto enough! I don't think you can go wrong here.

Yelp
As evening turns to night in Beverly Hills, Caffe Roma transforms from a dinner restaurant to a "see and be seen" night club/weekend dance club with some of the best looking clientele this side of Doheny. And if you are looking for that mature night club experience in Beverly Hills you only have 3 choices: Caffe Roma, Caffe Roma, or Caffe Roma. [Get the point!--not much going on late at night in Beverly Hills.] I stopped in here on a Friday at 10 PM with a buddy after work to catch up on life. Place was hopping more than a bunny on steroids! It was the place to be. They had a DJ, live band, and the owner at the door welcoming everyone like you would to your home. Now I did not know before coming here how expensive it was to drink but that is Okay because we were not charged to come in and they are providing live entertainment. I asked the Bartender what beers this fine establishment has on tap, and he says, "let me find out...get right back to you?" I see him ask another bartender, and comes back and says they have only three. So I look around, see a bunch of people eating Pizza and choose: Peroni I have never had a Peroni as good as that Peroni. Frankly, I have never been in a place that has Peroni on tap. Check comes, 2 Peroni's with tax=$35.00 Now, what makes a Peroni draft worth $15.00? It came in a Peroni branded glass--big Capital letters on it: "PERONI" That alone makes it worth $15. When we walked around, everyone knew that we were drinking Peroni. We were not Bud or Coors people that night--we were international sophisticated upscale happening beverly hills people and had our glasses to prove it! You ain't going to get that anywhere else other than Caffe Roma. I will tell you right now...if you are looking for nightlife in Beverly Hills you only have 3 choices: Did I already mention this? Now let me talk about other things you need to know. Age here is mature fun people. Looked like mid 30's to 50's primarily. This is not a Hollywood club--there is no mash pit--the DJ is not going to mix popular songs so that they all sound the same and you lose your hearing--women are not going to hold hands and go to the bathroom together. Dress upscale: Men wear unstained jeans or dress pants, dress shirt and shoes for example. Parking: Free at meters after 9 PM only. Otherwise there are lots that cost $$. Area: Super-safe. It's Downtown Beverly Hills. Cost: Drinks are $20-25 each with T & T. Attitude: Bring it, but you may not need it.

Yelp
The food has taken a down turn. Not on the same level it was a few months ago. The Penne Vodka was tasteless, just a boxed pasta with an artificial tasting sauce. So disappointing, was looking forward to it. My friend had the Penne Pomodoro, nothing great about that dish either. Make better food!

Yelp
I rarely write these public reviews but I had such a devastating experience. The evening is cold for LA at this time of the year, and we just came out of the clinic exhausted, wanting to have some warm and decent food. After ordering one meatball spaghetti and one lasagna, we sat for almost 40 mins without any sign of food coming up. I asked, as politely as I could, when will these pasta arrive. The waitress went to check but didn't come back, that's when I realized they didn't place the order at all. I then talked to a man who dressed as manager, he quickly went into the back then told me the pasta shall arrive in 5 minutes. The pasta did arrive within 5 minutes, the only problem is, the spaghetti is so raw that I can hardly chew. I do my own cooking at home so I know the pasta must have been boiled for only 3 to 4 minutes. It's simply inedible. I told the manager we will not be eating our spaghetti. I paid for the rest of the food (which were also rarely touched), and left without making a scene. It's not worth the time to argue with liars. To those of you thinking of going to this place: don't.

Yelp
I have not been to this place in forever and was excited to eat here. The ambience here is great especially since it turns into a club/lounge after hours. Food does not disappoint but expect a bill on the $$$ side. I absolutely loved the grilled calamari and burrata. Octopus was good but not especially memorable. The fungi pizza was amazing.. crust was perfection! Penne with pink sauce was bomb.. simple dish but so good when done right. Short Rib was great too. I was not a huge fan of the sangria here.. so I recommend stick to wine. They had huge selection and let you try first if you are trying to find the perfect pairing. Our server was excellent and offered to get us a spot at the lounge area after dinner. He was very attentive. Dinner portion of night was perfect... but once we moved to lounge and waitress there realized we only wanted few drinks and no bottle service... she ignored us rest of the night. Never brought my drink and disappeared. Totally could feel the Beverly Hills snobby attitude there... unfortunate since I enjoyed everything else that night.

Yelp
Just went there for Valentine's Day and I can't express enough how bad this place was. The food, service, and pricing were all bad. As a customer, you can forgive one of those things, not all three. Lowlights: - $20 mediocre cocktails - $36+ for basic pastas with dry, pre-diced chicken - No complimentary bread - Dry, chewy calamari - Hour+ to get out entrees - Basic entrees with below average portion sizes - Mandatory 20% tip for a party of 2 Bottom line, there's no reason to go here and waste your time and money.

Yelp
Still a solid place to dine! Came here multiple times for dinner. Make sure to make a reservation if you are dinning on a weekend. They even have a dog menu! Salmon was delicious. Must order the pizza--perfect crust and sauce. Parking: Lots of metered parking and public parking lots in the area.

J M.

Yelp
We walked up and there was a server standing there. She kept staring at us but wouldn't say hi or greet us. We stood standing there for about 3-4 mins before someone came to seat us. They told us there is a private event and sat on the patio only to be told 30 mins later to move tables because of the event ... we sat for about 15 mins before anyone came to the table to greet us or take orders. The table was wobbly, and dirty, I sent back one plate 3 times because it wasn't cooked right, the table next to us got a glass of wine that was dirty. No one really come to check if everything is good after. The place was completely dead and now it makes sense why. Definitely will not be back.

Yelp
Definitely love this spot cause of the out door seating. I love the atmosphere but the food is okay. Not a fan of the Niçoise salad because they use canned tuna for the price it should be less. I do enjoy the burrata salad a lot. Also we waited a long time for a server twice so i think that could improve. They have so much outside seating definitely try it out.

Yelp
I came here during the corona virus crisis. I was really craving some Italian food and headed over the hill to pick-up some at caffe Roma. I put in my order thru phone and they estimated about 25 minutes for my order to be ready. I arrived and was helped out by Daniel, he was super nice and caring. He asked how my day was and also asked if I wanted water while I waited. The pesto pasta was delicious and tasty. It was still hot and tasty while I drove back home and Cesar salad was super fresh and green. It had all the good veggies in it. I added a salmon piece on the side and it was so juicy. The Ice tea was also good for my drive home. I would totally recommend the pesto pasta to everyone craving some fresh pasta sauce. Thank you Daniel for your wonderful experience and service. You truly made my ride back home sweet. I will return soon to dine in soon. Restaurants like this need our help at the moment by placing orders over the phone for pick ups! :)

The food here is ok. Had I not came here during happy hour I would have been upset with the price. The two pizzas we ordered were tiny, at $8 a piece not many expectations. The grilled octopus barely had any octopus on the tray, with more veggies and potatoes than anything. The pizza was decent, nothing good really stood out on either. I will say The Margherita Pizza was nothing more than a cheese pizza with a basil leaf in the middle. For the area the happy hour could be great for drinks with some being at 50% cost. Parking can be scarce. Rite Aide a block down offers 60 minutes free with purchase and validation.

Yelp
One of LA original happy hour spots and still an absolute gem. They treat everyone really well, classy and laid back at the same time. Food is great, happy hour is inexpensive, and the restaurant has 6 different vibes/sections depending on your mood and taste. Love this spot.

Yelp
Caffe Roma is a really relaxed cafe for a chill night out. I like the cafe vibes for the days I'm not feeling the whole restaurant atmosphere. I like to order the wagyu burger it's super tasty and tender not to mention a great sized portion and it comes with fries. Simply delicious! The tiramisu is amazing as well. Definitely a nice place for a quick bite!

Yelp
We stopped by Caffe Roma for a cappuccino while taking a break from a high energy Hollywood event next door (launch of a new magazine). Very attentive service, both the manager and the waitress asked repeatedly if everything was okay, and the cappuccino was served up pretty quickly and was good. This place is recommended by an Italian friend of mine who now lives in Rome, but we haven't tried the food yet. I did notice the guy next door get a Margherita pizza (only $5. on the Happy Hour menu) that they first tried to serve to us, then much later gave to him - must have been cold by then! Lively atmosphere. We sat outside in the breezeway between the two buildings.
