Google
Good coffee! Marionberry popstar very tasty. Good music. Loved that the front corner sitting area was available. Had and outlet and 100+ mbps wifi.

Google
Helpful baristas! Good coffee. Wonderful line of roasts to take home. Discount on your coffee if you buy beans! I partook. 😁 PS(A)...Real pumpkin in your PSL...

Google
This place is still here. Crazy. Sometimes things are more reassuring when they don't change at all. 4/5 stars for coffee is a compliment. They do a fantastic job. If they got 5/5 stars they would be at my house folding my laundry. Amazing cap

Stopped in for a quick latte to warm up on a cold day. It was one of the best lattes I have had in Portland. The service was genuinely friendly. I felt as if they really appreciated my business. I will definitely be back!

Google
Meant to put in a good word for this place a while back. We live in another part of Portland, so we don't make it up to Alberta very often. But, when we do, we make sure to hit up Caffe Vita. Nice place, good atmosphere. We always pick up a bag of Theo's Blend, too. It's the best coffee we've ever had. I bring it back east to my family as a gift, and they love it.

Google
Good coffee, friendly, and at the less crazy end of Alberta. Looking forward to hanging out inside!

Google
Excellent coffee, usually fast service, very chill. Only three two seater outside tables. Watch the roasting while you drink the end result. One of our favorite places. Great vibe, low key, cool. Follow-up: Cafe Vita has over time won me over and is my favorite in Portland. The best coffee and the best people.

Yelp
I go here periodically, and the coffee is great. The vibe is generally pretty relaxed with a number of folks working. The staff is overall fairly friendly, but there have been team members that are a bit more standoffish. Maybe it's just me.

Yelp
Great coffee!! I got a quad shot cappuccino and it was fantastic with espresso Nice to have it open a bit longer hours too, it can be tricky to get morning or afternoon coffee

Yelp
The ambiance of this cafe had all the signs of great coffee and pastries. However, the cappuccino was far from great. Tasted more like a poorly executed drip coffee. There was no foam, just milk and the coffee tasted bland. The same was also true for the Lattes. The pastries were marginal. I do appreciate the effort and service.

Yelp
I use to love the coffee here but last couple visits have been terrible. The coffee is bland, shots are acidic or burnt, they should really improve their barista training. I'm giving up at this point. Too many bad coffees is a real disappointment.

Yelp
The Great North is a great coffee shop located on NE Alberta Street. I got a hot lavender matcha latte to go when I visited and it was solid. Service was good. The shop also looked like it would be good to work in but it might be difficult to snap a table. Overall, it was a good experience. I will continue to go to the shop.

Yelp
Stood in line for 10 minutes as a barista ignored my presence.. got my dumb lil coffee ended up tasting like crap lil blonde millennial chic didn't add cream or vanilla like I asked and PAID for.... Get outta here twats.

Yelp
Stopped in during a quick getaway. Recommended by a friend who lives locally. Only bought beans but they are excellent! Solid price, delicious beans. I grabbed the Kickstarter for my home espresso and love the flavorful chocolate and cherry notes. Service was kind and quick. Nice coffee shop, would certainly stop by again if ever back in the area. Parking was a bit tough but did find street parking a couple of blocks away.

Yelp
Quite delicious breakfast sandwich and chai latte. I wandered here early on a Saturday when I couldn't sleep and enjoyed the quiet charm of the block. I brought some coffee beans home to Chicago and am so glad I did!

Yelp
Simple and to the point coffee shop in the Alberta Arts District. The shop was clean with simple decor and ample seating. There are a few small tables outside, and the tables inside are fairly large; great for working! Staff was very professional and kind, and the coffee was served quickly. There are food options, and they make their own syrup and milks! Pro Tip: Grab a punch card at the counter so you can start racking up the points!

Yelp
I love this place. This is absolutely my local coffee shop of choice over all the other quite stellar options in the area. Friendly staff, incredible roast, great prices, ample space, wireless internet for me to stay awhile and work. Keep it up there!

Yelp
So excited the Great North coffee has a new location on Alberta which is around my neighborhood now. Hot/iced mocha is my go to for morning caffeine option :)

Baedyn R.

Yelp
Really yummy iced matcha, happy to find a place that uses ceremonial grade. We LOVED their espresso blend in a latte. Great stuff!

Yelp
The coffee and food are below average and it's such a bummer. This is my local right down the street on Alberta and it just doesn't compare to the rest of the options further out around town. The lattes, cappuccinos, americanos are all bitter & acidic. Just not my favorite. The matcha is decent but watery over ice right away. Overall, a very fussy and expensive cup that falls short of a smooth, well roasted and pulled shot. The staff are so sweet and very friendly. I love coming here to work during the day when it's not busy. It can get really crowded fast and you might not be able to get a seat or an outlet. Not many big table either so I only go on days when I just need a laptop and not a notebook or anything else.

Yelp
I'm originally from NYC and can't get used to how early coffee shops close in Portland. At least this one is open until 6:00 PM, which enabled a friend and I to sit down for coffee before heading off to a local event. I only had decaf coffee (which was fine) so I can't speak for the food or pastries -- though a few of the pastries looked truly delectable. There are tables inside and seats outside as well. Wish I had taken a photo. The ambience was cozy and the young man at the counter was friendly. I will definitely return when I am in the Alberta neighborhood again.

Yelp
Nice interior. Decent coffee. Less than friendly staff. No fresh food ("oven broken"?). Yesterday's grocery store danish inedible.

Yelp
Good service, nice espresso drinks, good atmosphere to work in. Their decaf is surprisingly tasty, too.

Yelp
Great staff and the coffee is FANTASTIC!! But I find it incredibly obnoxious that there are no prices on the menu. Only the little printed food menu has prices on it. No drinks or bagged beans have prices. What is that about!?? It makes ordering unpleasant. Prices aren't even bad, so why hide it? We're not all rich, price matters to some people...

Yelp
Love this place. Formerly Vita, has more or less the same menu and interior. My go-to cafe anytime I'm visiting Northeast Portland.

Megan K.

Yelp
I had the plant based breakfast sandwich and drip coffee. Yum. The menu is in the front by the register. Next time I go in, I will take a picture of it to put on my review.
