Where to Eat at Sea-Tac Airport (SEA) - Eater Seattle

"There’s quite a few coffee options at SEA, it being the main airport for Seattle and all, but if you’re at all finicky about your espresso, Caffe Vita is what you want. There’s always a line, but it goes fast. The golden milk latte with turmeric, ginger, cardamom, and cinnamon (among other spices) is a luxurious favorite." - Eater Staff

The person taking my order was one of the nicest people I've met in good service lately, being used to Seattle service. However, my drink with "light ice" was 2/3 full of ice, so I hate to think how it would have been like without that comment. Ultimately, I don't think 5oz of liquid and 16 oz of ice is worth $7. The food was fine.

BETTER THAN STARBUCKS..... JUST. This review is based solely on my experience and personal opinion. I went to the Caffe Vita on a Friday afternoon, 12/3/21, and it was my very first time. Cute little place right in between the "Beecher's handmade cheese" and "Elliot Bay Book Company". If you do not pay attention you can really miss it. I went by at least three times and I did not even notice the shop, so small. FOOD: I ordered a blueberry Scone and Croissant. SCONE= scone was very good, very nice flavor to it. it was not the classic heavy scone but a lighter version, more like a cake kind of dough. Soft and light, but still flavorful. CROISSANT= very light puff/filo pastry. so soft it would melt in your mouth. intense buttery flavor with a note of orange, very pleasant. DRINK: I ordered a Latte. LATTE= The coffee in my Latte was very good, strong and intense coffee flavor that gave my latte a unique taste. I loved it. Just a thin layer of foam on top, just like I love it. They used whole milk to make my Latte and it was good, such a distinctive flavor. PLACE: very small coffee shop with everything you need for your breakfast or quick coffee break. They have plenty of good pastries, sandwiches, fruit and a selection of coffee-based products, ice or hot. here you can buy ground coffee or coffee beans if you fancy it. STAFF: the girl who served me was nice and helpful and the other employees seemed to be just as friendly. OPTIONS: They have take away options only (paper cup) no tables or chairs available at the shop and the food is take away only (in a bag). CONCLUSIONS: I liked it better than Starbucks and I'll definitely go get a coffee when I'm back in SEA.

This Vita location won’t allow personal cups despite every other airport coffee shop allowing for some reason. The employee cited “company rules”. He was “required”to give me my drink in a waste-able cup and then watch me pour it into my personal cup 2 seconds later and throw away the single use cup. What a waste. All that manufacturing and transportation emissions for a cup only with a lifespan of 2 seconds. Really want to support local (and their coffee is great!) however I will now get all my airport coffee at the global giant, Starbucks.

Cafe Americano, horribly burnt acid taste. Some of the worst coffee i have had in a long time. Doesnt anyone like burnt dark roast?

Coffee nerd here, about as good as possible airport coffee. Real espresso shots, not an automatic machine. Drip coffee with actual good notes. Skip the Starbucks and go here!

The Americano was hotter than the lava found in the inner depths of Mt. Rainer. Caffe Vita probably allowed this company to slap their name on the brand, hence the lack of quality control you would otherwise find in their Seattle locations. I asked for no room for creamer, and they still shorted me a couple Oz.

Very good food, recommend you try the sammiches and Mac and cheese. Coffee was good but a small is SMALL! The layout here is a bit confusing as the beverage side is open for orders as well as the food side. However I think when orders go from one side to the other things get lost in translation. Uses local cheese maker Beecher’s for the food and it is quite good. $17 included tax for a small coffee and egg and cheese sandwich!

The one by C gates in the main terminal is great. Solid pastry selection, professional grade espresso machines, typical (excellent) Vita. Five stars. But I skipped that one today and went to the new one at the N gate satellite. Only three pastries, automatic push button machines, steam wands dunked in the milk pitcher without aerating so it screamed through the whole steam and made crummy foam. I got a canned cold brew and went on my way. If this Vita isn’t really Vita, I’d go elsewhere if you’re flying out of N gates.
