Decent cafe with fabulous views but seems like locals get preference in regards to plates and cups... I had a table outside and was given our (lovely, mind) blueberry scone in a plastic tray, and our teas were served in takeaway cups. Might have been a misunderstanding but I did say we were sitting at a table not on the beach. Enjoyed it nonetheless

Absolutely gorgeous little cafe right on the beach overlooking whistling sands bay. Lots of lovely scrumptious cakes, paints, snack, breakfasts and great coffee! Staff are really nice and friendly and the views are amazing. Very nice part of the coastal path to explore.

This is an amazing little place. Nestled on the whistling sands beach. A very nice and safe beach for children. The water was refreshing and we absolutely loved the fact we could take the dog on some of the beach.

Had an ice cream and a can for a very reasonable price. Parking is £5 in the national trust car park, but access to the beach is free, so you could park further away and walk down, although I wouldn't recommend as it is a couple of minutes walk downhill form the car park as it is. Lovely views, nice beach, and a few outdoor tables to sit in the sun, or some inside if that's what you prefer. They have a large variety of food in the menu, from hot meals to ice creams and cakes, there's something for everyone.

Great spot on our favourite beach. Nice sausage roll, coffee and a blueberry scone. Nice food and very reasonably priced. Grandkids always want an Icecream and sweets 😂

The parking is free for National Trust members. This cafe serves the Whistling Sands beach well but is also well worth a visit if you are walking the coastal path or just want somewhere to get some good food. Great breakfasts, good cakes. Stunning to have early evening dinner on a sunny day on the terrace overlooking Whistling Sands beach. If you are in a family/large group be warned that this place is small & fills up very quickly.

Stopped by Caffi Porthor during a visit to Porthor Beach and was pleasantly surprised. The café offers a variety of dishes, including multiple vegan options like house-made falafel, vegan breakfasts, burgers, and pizzas with vegan cheese . The food was tasty and satisfying, perfect after a beach walk. The café has both indoor and outdoor seating, and dogs are welcome outside. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. Note that the car park nearby is managed by the National Trust and costs £5 for the day, with no option for shorter durations . Also, while the beach is known as “Whistling Sands,” the sand didn’t whistle during our visit—perhaps due to the weather or sand conditions. Overall, Caffi Porthor is a charming spot to grab a bite with a beautiful view of the bay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area.
