We had a great experience at Cais! We ordered the fish crudo with tomato water, grilled squid with garlic cream, fresh oysters with cambuci vinaigrette and coriander oil, poached oysters with nuts and masago (one of the best bites I’ve ever had) and the glazed onion with Boursin and brioche.
Everything was incredibly fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The poached oysters were a standout, warm, silky, tender, briny with a gentle sweetness. The nuts added a lovely crunch and toastiness, while the masago deepened the ocean flavour. Elegant, restrained, and beautifully balanced.
Each dish had real depth of flavour without being heavy. Clean, precise cooking with textures and flavours working quietly together.
From our seating, we can see the young chefs cooking, which adds to the experience, and our server was genuinely kind, warm, and attentive.
A beautiful meal from start to finish. Michelin-starred quality with a relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere. Highly recommended if you’re in Vila Madalena.
