So, THIS is Parisian dining! Food, service, atmosphere, Caius has it all. The course dinner was elegant and brought out the best in the subtleties of the seasonal ingredients. Some of the entree choices may be quasi-exotic for some tourists (steak tartare, raw cod marinated in olive oil...), but I highly encourage everyone to take in the local offerings... you're in France after all!
Service was top-notch. The waiter was welcoming, and meticulously translated the entire hand-written menu and a handful of wines into English. His hospitality and warm personality never made me feel out of place for being a naive traveler. It felt like I was in a movie.
Caius is a place to relax and to spend quality time with your food and company, and the delivery of each dish will be timed accordingly. Expect the meal to last over two hours. Yes, you should definitely reserve a table a few days prior to dinner. Frequented by locals, but--heads up--it's near the Arc de Triomphe; tourists do know about this place!
