A Guide to the Best and Worst Vegan Ice Creams | Eater

"Cashew-based small-batch flavors described as ‘globally inspired’ (kulfi, horchata, baklava, cheesecake) show light, smooth texture and restrained sweetness; horchata and kulfi shone for their authentic cinnamon and cardamom notes, while baklava offered an ideal pistachio distribution." - Rebecca Flint Marx

Google
Amazing homemade ice cream in a variety of incredible flavors! Everything is plant-based (made of cashew milk, no cholesterol, no animal fat) and even the waffle cones (all 4 flavors of them) are vegan! This creamery is in downtown Baltimore, a hop, skip, and a jump from Howard County, and boy, is it worth the trip! Every flavor we tried was delicious. Large scoops and reasonable prices. We can't wait to come again, and this time, bring a cooler with us so we can buy some pints to take home! Street parking with a meter.

Leslie G.

Google
Great neighborhood creamery! Flavors are fantastic. Small interior, but seating is also available on the sidewalk out front. Owner is nice, engages with customers, and appears highly respected among patrons. You can't go wrong choosing to visit here. Enjoy!

Google
It was AHH-MAZING!!!! The ice cream was so delicious. Way better than I expected. The perfect amount of creamy and warmth in every bite. We met one of the owners, Dwight, who was friendly and generous. He made wonderful suggestions and we tasted samples to our hearts content. The Creamery itself, is tiny and charming. My friend and I each got coned ice cream. She got the red velvet cone with Blueberry Cheesecake ice cream. I got the chocolate cone with Bourbon Pecan. We both each also left with pints and do plan to go again. Dee-licious and worth the drive!!! The only thing we were upset about is the fact that neither of us took pics of our Cones. Oh, and they ship!!!!!

Google
What a gem of a place! My family went today, and we had raspberry cheesecake, soursop, horchata, and baklava flavors. All delicious and some of the creamiest nondairy ice cream I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot). Also loved their variety of cones - regular, black cocoa, red velvet. Owner was super friendly and welcoming. Will definitely go back whenever I can!

Google
cajou is my favorite place to be this summer and the best vegan ice cream i’ve ever had!! the flavors are refreshing and delicious, the shop is lovely, and there is clearly so much care put into everything! i love recommending it to people!

KG G.

Google
Absolutely the best icecream I have ever had. And its plant based. It's perfect for the lactose intolerant people and plant based lovers. It's not that chalky texture. Everything is soo smooth and creamy. 10/10. Soo many flavors and they let you try as many as you want. And they have this pumpkin soup. Omg its top tier delicious and I never knew I needed that in my life. This will be added to my Saturday run to places.

catch. A.

Google
Theres not a bad thing on the menu. Baklava, Cheesecakes and Rum Raisin are amazing. It's all vegan, I'm not vegan but honestly it all tastes better than any dairy based ice cream.

Candy A.

Google
Best homemade ice cream. Owners and kids are super nice and welcoming! The taste of all the ice cream are delicious!!!! My favorite is the one with passion fruit!!!! God bless their business!

Yelp
Absolutely delicious--a must-visit in Baltimore!! The JoyUS Rebellion flavor is so good! Wonderful people, and the shop is so beautifully decorated too!

Yelp
Cajou is a plant based ice cream shop owned by Dwight Campbell and Nicole Foster. Dwight is normally working in store daily; he is cordial, customer centric and super knowledgeable. The ambience is quaint with modern touches. Cajou sells clean products that are made fresh daily, with (ingredient) labels that a 5 year old could understand. Most notably, they have flavored ice cream cones (green tea matcha, chocolate, etc). The brand integrity and a sense of community shines with every scoop given that five percent of each sell goes to support local food justice initiatives. If you want to support this cause but can't make it into the retail store, Cajou creamery is located in the aisles of Whole Foods across the country (as well as Slutty Vegan burger spot). Cajou is a luxury ice cream experience and I can't wait to return to grab ice cream and listen to all things Baltimore.

Yelp
So years ago there was an Elite Week fro Cajou Creamery that lined up nicely with festive times. My sister and her vegan family were all around, and we decided to go collectively. Having access to some of their ice cream flavors in Whole Foods, I didn't go back to their brick-and-mortar until this year. I could never find their Sweet Potato Pie in stores near me, so I finally had to go back and get it after enjoying it so much before. It was as amazing as I remember. And the owner gave me the genius idea of letting it melt a little and using it as a French Toast stuffing. Do you know how delicious that is?! Not long after this experience, they posted on social media about being in danger of closing and the community was not having it. I couldn't make it out in time but it was amazing to see so many people coming out to support them. Proud! I returned recently to mass stock for the holidays and gifts, and conveniently enough, they have some new amazing flavors for the season that I couldn't wait to experience: Spiced Pear w/ Brandy caramel and Jamaican Black Cake. FAN.TASTIC. I really wish there was one closer to home, but this is one that I hope stays around for a long time. Of all the ice cream I have had (dairy or vegan), they're easily in my top 3. I thought sweet potato pie was their peak... but these seasonal flavors... wow. Til next time!

Yelp
I believe I have said it before however again for short measure, I LOVE CAJOU CREAMERY. What is not to love and I am so glad I don't have a cashew allergy because I would be missing out on some delectable ice creamery dreamery! From the owner Dwight's stellar customer service to the ice cream there is not much more to say. I so enjoy that when in town there are always new flavors to taste, try and indulge without guilt. During this visit, BLACK CAKE (IYKYK), COQUITO (IYKYK) and SPICED PEAR w/ BRANDY CARAMEL... So, of course, came with a cooler, dry ice and took all 3 home for the road trip!

Yelp
Finally made it to Cajou. It's a cozy ice cream shop with enough standing room for a few patrons. I ordered a double scoop of blueberry cheesecake and Jamaican rum raisin on a black cocoa cone. The raisins had a very potent rum flavor but overall I enjoyed my cone. I was really hoping to try the sweet potato flavor but it was only available by the pint.
google avatar

Alexander B.

Yelp
Some of the best vegan ice cream I have ever had, no lie! Their rum flavored one is a new favorite flavor for me. And because of the location (Baltimore), you are basically getting affordable craft ice cream (I live in the DC area and was pleasantly surprised with the price).
google avatar

Ashley G.

Yelp
Hands down best vegan spot for ice cream! You will have a difficult time picking which ice cream you want after a quick taste test, so go ahead and get at least 2 lol I have taken several people here, and it doesn't disappoint, perfect for vegans and non vegans. ***product is also sold in whole foods (Inner Harbor fyi) We sat outside and enjoyed our scoops!

Yelp
Truly the nicest human running this ice cream shop. And the ice cream is so tasty!! We walked in in a Sunday afternoon and no one else was in the cozy store, so we asked if we could taste every flavor. I'm vegan and from seattle, so felt like this might be my only chance. All their ice cream is vegan (cashew based), soy free, gluten free, and in an effort to keep sugars low, sweetened with dates. They obliged, and as we were tasting another customer walked in who joined in on the tasting party. Soon there were a handful more people. The baklava flavor was my favorite, the chunky monkey flavor had the perfect amount of banana flavor ("because we use real banana"), and the kulfi was a cardamom treat. The sweet potato pie was really impressive (because his son challenged him to make it into an ice cream flavor) and the horchata was the first flavor because his son had food intolerances as a baby. There were three or four flavors of cones you could get, and little premade ice cream sandwiches. If you can't make it to the scoop shop, this ice cream is available in Whole Foods in the wider area, and will be available for nationwide shipping in just a few weeks! I'm going to go into my local store and request that they carry it. Really cute shop, great ice cream, lovey humans. Would recommend!

Karen H.

Yelp
Loved being the only two customers when we arrived because we spent time with the owner, learning his entire story - which was a touching journey he's been on. Then - the next ice cream was delicious and great for gluten free and vegan options. Really great - and he didn't mind free samples.

Yelp
I am so happy that I have found this place! As an ice cream connoisseur gone vegan-ish... I have had my heart broken by lots of nondairy options! But I have met the Cajou of my dreams! I had to taste almost every option available and u will understand why when you take a look at those options! 1. The store is amazing. Small and cozy - feels like you walked into a Pinterest dream! 2. The owner was the cashier! Whaaaaaa!? Please take a moment to share a smile and say thank you for the best service ever these days. I felt as if I was invited over to my BFFs house who happens to make amazing treats! 3. Flavor! This ice cream is definite creamy, bright, decadent and better than .... Anything ever. And the matcha cone was crunchy and fresh!

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place going to another business and it being plant-based caught our eyes! It's a small shop, but very welcoming and well decorated. The owner was welcoming and had a very calming presence. We tasted a few options but ultimately went with the blueberry cheesecake and pistachio guava. Next time I might just have to go for a flight of 6 flavors!

Carl C.

Yelp
Fantastic find after a Center Stage play. Vibrant flavors , all dairy-free and you'd never know it. Very creamy feel and taste using cashews. Generous taste tests because the flavors are so original.
google avatar

Jessica D.

Yelp
Cajou did not disappoint! The ice cream, service, and atmosphere check all the boxes. since I could not decide what flavors to get, I ordered both the blueberry and raspberry cheesecake. Pure creamy flavorful goodness The business owners, Dwight and Nicole, were so incredibly warm and kind - they're the cherries on top! I will absolutely be back to get my ice cream fix!

Yelp
I had an amazing visit to Cajou Creamery which is a black owned and all vegan business. I was so happy that they had a consistent line for ice cream while I was there. People in Baltimore can definitely appreciate a dairy free option! The inside of Cajou Creamery is small. I love that they had cute jewelry for sale as well as of course their ice cream. There is a little bit of seating inside the scoop shop but it is definitely easier to take your ice cream outside to enjoy. Cajou has so many unique flavors like Baklava and Blueberry Cheesecake. They allow you to sample as many flavors as you like to make sure you get a scoop you love. All their ice creams are cashew based and wonderfully creamy. My favorite thing at Cajou Creamery is they offer quite a few toppings for free! You can get waffle cone pieces and sprinkles added to your scoop for no additional cost! That right there puts them at the top of my list for scoop shops. I loved getting my scoop decked out in rainbow sprinkles. I ordered their flavor with sunbutter cups and loved the sweet and saltiness from the sweet ice cream base and the salty sunbutter. It was absolutely delicious! I have also tried their blueberry cheesecake and baklava and enjoyed those flavors as well. The blueberry one has so many full sized blueberries mixed in and the baklava has a wonderful amount of baklava bits blended in. This business has a great ratio of ice cream base to toppings mixed in for each of their flavors. I am very happy this all vegan ice cream spot exists and will definitely be returning to try more of their flavors!
google avatar

Ayanna S.

Yelp
Owner was so friendly and helped us pick a flavor we loved. My mom got baklava and blueberry cheesecake and I got baklava and bourbon pecan. We also tried his pumpkin bisque. Everything was flavorful and delicious!

Yelp
There's a lot of poorly done vegan ice cream out there. Due to that, I just don't eat much. But when I find a place that does it right, you best believe I will be frequenting there a lot. Cajou Creamery does it right! As the name implies, Cajou Creamery makes their ice cream from cashews. They don't stick to just the basics when it comes to flavors. A visit to their small shop will introduce you to all kinds of rotating flavor gems. Flavors such as Blueberry Cheesecake, Horchata, Baklava, Sweet Potato Pie, Black Cherry Blossom, Mango and Bourbon Pecan just to name a few. Cajou Creamery also offers a variety of cones. Typically, if I'm going to do a cone, i do the matcha one (who says no to green ice cream cones). But my favorite way to enjoy Cajou ice cream is between two cookies. I mean fresh vegan cookies with adventurous flavors of vegan ice cream between them? Sign. Me. Up. Cajou Creamery is an incredible Black owned and Woman owned vegan ice cream spot in Baltimore. If you are anywhere within the confines of Baltimore (and by that I mean within 50 miles of the city) I behoove you to pay this shop a visit.

LaTonya W.

Yelp
The jamaican rum raisin ice cream was so YUMMY!!! OMG!!! I have never tasted any ice cream like this ever before. The raisins were soaked in rum for a week and so delicious. This ice cream is to die for and I cannot wait to go back and get more.
google avatar

Yelp
Before moving to, or visiting, any city I check out my trusty friend IG to see the best places to check out. I've seen Cajou on plenty of pages and in a few group chats so I knew I had to swing by. So when a friend who's vegan come up for a visit, I knew it was time. My only regret, not going sooner. It's in a small space but it's bursting with good energy and wonderful smelling vegan goodness. The gentleman who helped us was funny and made getting ice cream even more fun. How is that even possible? I'm addition, the flavors I tasted (blueberry cheesecake and banana), and purchased were delicious! This visit was a couple months ago so I'm sure the flavors changed but we loved the late summer options. All so creamy I forgot they were vegan. I'll swing by soon to see what's available for fall!
google avatar

Whitley D.

Yelp
Vegan's can scream for ICE CREAM now too!! No gluten, No soy, No dairy and No artificial ANYTHING!!!! If you are wondering it's cashew based ice cream. This place is a gem! The wife is so patience and welcoming! I have now met the wife, husband and their son. All great people. When you go in don't be afraid to ask for samples of any of the flavors. They have small metal spoons they use to give you the sample and a bucket to put them in after you try each flavor. Thus far I have NOT found a flavor that I don't like. I am in love with the cookies and cream flavor with the cookie dough inside but unfortunately they don't have that one offered as a pint. The husband will tell you he will not scoop from the options if it's not already an option for a pint. Hopefully they will offer that one soon, because that would be my top buyer. I have tried horchata, baklava, kulfi, cookies and cream, guava cheesecake, passion fruit, dulce de leche, blueberry cheesecake, sweet potato and Mexican cacao. They were all delicious and one will please at least one person in your group. They do have other flavors that I haven't tried. Can't forget you can add toppings onto the ice cream as well. I know one is the cookies crumble and that's what I order....because it's so delicious!! Oooh and they offer parfait, smoothies and coffee! Haven't tried any of them but I bet they are delicious too! All in all I will definitely go back!

Yelp
I've been waiting so long to come here. I work long hours so normally when I get off of work I'm unable to make it. Today was the day lol. It's located on Howard street but I was lucky enough to find parking right in front. The owner/manager (?) was nice and friendly. It's rather small inside but they do have outdoor shaded seating in front. I had the Horchata & Baklava from Wholefoods so I tried the Thai Basil Blackberry (I may be messing the name up) and I also had the Jamaican Run Raisin. Please know that it's a real rum taste. I think the raisins are soaked in it lol so if you don't drink or don't like rum you may want to try a different flavor. This ice cream was worth the wait and the drive! So delicious.
google avatar

Nicole R.

Yelp
An experience! The owner is so nice, and let us try the samples for all the flavors. Which worked to his advantage because we loved it so much we ordered double scoops and a pint to go! Favorites were Horchata and oatmeal cranberry. I also learned the pints are available in some Whole Foods and Foxtrot, which is great for me since I'm not based out of Baltimore. Can't wait to bring my allergen ridden family! This is a game changer.
google avatar

Deborah S.

Yelp
I cannot rave about this place enough! I did not catch his name, but the man running the shop was very friendly and the ice cream was amazing. I got the blueberry and it was so refreshing, even on a chilly day. I want this place to get the recognition they deserve because it was truly a 5 star experience
google avatar

Melinda A.

Yelp
I am a HUGE ice cream fan and very picky about my desserts. This shop was the absolute highlight of my trip to Baltimore and I will certainly be back every time I am in town. I've already recommended it to all of my local friends as well. I tried all of the flavors and each was better than the last but some of my favorites were the berry cheesecake (which is made with their homemade cashew based cream cheese and real berries) and baklava (I hadn't even enjoyed baklava previously and it was absolutely mind blowing)! I had it in a salted caramel cone (imported from Australia) which was also incredible. I had a long conversation with Dwight about the culinary scene in Baltimore, vegan ice cream generally, food globally, etc. It was very insightful and one of the best culinary experiences of my life. I liked it so much that I brought my coworkers the next day and they were equally impressed. At my second visit I shared a flight (6 small scoops) which was a great choice so I was able to have many different types.
google avatar

Danielle F.

Yelp
I was looking for a non dairy alternative due to my gi complications and my friend took me here. The owner explained the ice cream flavors and ingredients. I was very happy with my choice of ice cream Baklava. He also does soup on Sundays. The decor and environment made me feel comfortable and inviting. Felt like I was in Jamaica. I loved the old time rhythms. I will be coming back with my family next Sunday .

Ryan L.

Yelp
Really cute ice cream place, all the flavors we tried were really good and the staff was very friendly!
google avatar

Jerrell P.

Yelp
If your looking for a sweet treat this is the place to go. And its VEGAN! The ice cream is made from cashews and whew it was delectable! Cajou is located on Howard Row a block of small black owned business and everyone of them has a unique offerings. The flavors are switched around weekly so you can stop in often and always get something different. On this visit I grabbed the Sweet Potato ice cream!! It was sooo good! I could taste the natural sweetness, mixed together in this ice cream blend. I ate a single cup of ice cream while there and purchased a pint to go. I forgot to mention they do milkshakes too!! Decided to grab a funky monkey milkshake to drink with my vegan burger from next door (Vegan Juiceology post). Im upset I waited to long to visit Cajou Creamery! I will be back soon!
google avatar

Ky T.

Yelp
Love love loooove this dairy feee / plant based ice creamery! The main chef appeared to be showing his young son about the business on the day we dropped in, which was adorable to see and experience. We opted to test a few small cups and I liked the passion fruit flavor best but baklava was really good too. Blueberry cheesecake was solid but I would go out of my way for and will also repeat the passion fruit & baklava flavors. I'm happy to hear there are pints available in some Trader Joe's stores and that the pints can be ordered in quantities of four to be shipped nationwide. I can't wait to try the sweet potato and the chocolate flavors.
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
The name is presumably a translation of "cashew", which is the basis of the frozen desserts this place offers. No dairy at all. Unless you're allergic to nuts this is the dessert for you. And I have to say I'm impressed. Vegan desserts have come a long way in my lifetime, and I sampled several of the flavors they had on display before settling on a multilayered chocolate-based flavor and a dulce de leche, which had coconut as well as cashew. The texture is only subtly different from the dairy ice creams most of us are used to (I'm not a vegan and I eat dairy ice cream all the time); if you weren't looking for the difference, you might not notice it. The flavor selection was small, but options for how to have your cream (shake, sundae, sandwich) were many. The price was likely higher than standard ice cream, but not prohibitively so (and I always say that I'd rather quality over quantity with my desserts). A distinctively Baltimore business, but with global flavors. Whatever it is that one does to a cashew to make it into ice cream, they're very good at it. Recommended for vegans and non-vegans alike.
google avatar

Shamari V.

Yelp
Got a flight! 6 mini scoops of different flavors! So so good! Some flavors were pastelito, bourbon pecan pie, horchata, jamaican rum, baklava. Good service, cozy place.

Yelp
What a perfect way to end our stroll around Mt. Vernon! The Mount Vernon area has so much to explore for free, including several grassy and flower-filled parks, tons of beautiful murals, the breathtaking George Peabody Library, and the Walters Art Museum. After checking out the Mount Vernon Marketplace, we decided we were in the mood for something sweet. As soon as we walked in to Cajou, we were happily greeted and got to try a few flavors before making our selection! This is an amazing black-owned plant-based creamery, and their cashew milk ice cream is perfect for vegans and non-vegans alike! Their blueberry cheesecake flavor was to die for. So glad we stumbled upon Cajou--check them out when you get a chance!!
google avatar

Tiffany J.

Yelp
I'm not vegan, but I do love a good vegan ice cream! All the flavors I've tried have been great! My 7 yr old is not the biggest fan: he's a milk baby...but it's great for me!

L.M A.

Yelp
Amazing amazing amazing ice cream, best I've ever tried especially the baklava!! I love it
google avatar

Raghavi A.

Yelp
Unpopular opinion: I'm not a fan of ice cream. Opinion that should be popular: Cajou Creamery makes me a new fan of ice cream. If you haven't checked out this Black-owned, plant-based dessert shop, what are you waiting for? I popped into Cajou Creamery to sample some of the cashew-based ice cream. I was already excited to have a vegan ice cream place (for once!), but this establishment blew my expectations out of the water! It's a quaint creamery with captivating interior design and friendly, welcoming staff. There are a variety of flavors (e.g. sweet potato, kulfi, baklava, chocolate, ginger yuzu, guava and cheeze) and toppings (e.g. vegan whipped cream, cookie crumble, blondie crumble, caramel sauce, etc.) to construct your own sundae. Cajou Creamery also offers pints to go. The staff member informed me that the flavors are handmade and all fresh! The ginger yuzu has a subdued flavor (I prefer a stronger ginger flavor, so this was not it for me). Kulfi is a flavor that is near and dear to my heart, and I can confidently say that Cajou did not miss the mark-- it captures the authentic kulfi flavor! I also tried the guava & cheeze flavor, modeled after the well-known pastelito (all I can say is YUM!). Parking on this street is not as challenging as it looks so don't be deterred by the store's placement! I look forward to coming back soon to try out all of the other incredible flavors. Once it warms up, I'm especially looking forward to enjoying my vegan sundae on those cute yellow patio chairs. Thanks Cajou for a stellar experience!

Yelp
I stopped in for the most decadent vegan hot chocolate ive ever had. I thought i was just coming in for a special that was on the sign in the window but the man working that day let me know i was in for so much more! I believe he was the owner but i dont want to speak out of turn. He had such great recommendations on how to make my afternoon treat even better and I love that its all dairy free and me and dairy arent the best of friends in my older years. All in all, i'll be sure to be back and recommend it to anyone in the area.

Patricia M.

Yelp
Delicious ice cream. It just happens to be vegan! Interesting and well curated flavors.
google avatar

Shenise F.

Yelp
I recently discovered Cajou Creamery at the Infield Festival and was immediately intrigued that they make their ice cream with cashew milk. I ordered the vanilla and instantly regretted I only ordered one scoop. Now, I'll have to head to their store to try all their flavors.
google avatar

Jamal S.

Yelp
All of the ice 'creams' are cashew based and dairy free. The flavors are sooo good and the staff encourages you to samples each. The samples are real samples and "big" enough for you to actually taste the flavor and topping in totality. One of the flavors "Deluce de Leche" was so grand I told them they was just wrong for making it. After they understood how enchanted I was, they laughed and said "if making it is wrong, they don't want to be right". Sooooooooo good. The owners were AWESOME. They took time to explain each flavor and even talked about how and where in the world they got the inspiration for each flavor. I was very impressed with the the fact that they took so much time and showed so much patience in explaining the product. Pleasantly surprised at how much I liked dairy free ice cream. There is plenty of street parking available. They had small tables and chairs outside. The interior is super small.
google avatar

Iris H.

Yelp
I'm so happy I was able to stop by Cajou and on a 90 degree day. Cajou is right on Howard and has bright yellow chairs and tables outside inviting you to sit. Metered parking is available on the street out front, or you can park elsewhere or take the light rail. The inside area is small but they have a gorgeous mural to the right when you enter and a gender neutral bathroom. They have a few standard flavors and then others that rotate week to week. They also use metal tasting spoons so you're not adding to landfill waste. All of the flavors were explained and I went with the passion fruit. They have chocolate, a berry and a regular flavored cone. I ordered and went outside and got to chat with the owner for 90 minutes about the shop, plants, Baltimore and Black businesses. It was the highlight of my afternoon and even though I was only in MD for a short time, I plan to make Cajou my go to ice cream when I'm in town. I highly recommend you visit, grab a cone and stay for the conversation.

Yelp
we got a new favorite flavor, baklava! loved meeting the owner, tasting new flavors, and enjoying a couple scoops of blueberry cheesecake! will be back soon to taste more

Maya M.

Yelp
As a woman, I felt extremely uncomfortable spending my money here. I visited the shop with a male friend and the male owner of the shop spoke to him and even shook his hand right in front of me but the male shop owner didn't even acknowledge my presence and I was the only one spending money out of the two of us. The product is good but I hope this business improves to the point where they treat women customers as human beings.

Yelp
I been stalking this opening lol! You have to experience this place! The customer service from the owners are excellent. They take there time explain the ice cream. I been waiting to try this plant based ice cream. It was delicious, the flavors are homemade. My sisters said they don't want regular ice cream again, since they went here. I will be returning really soon. The plus black owned! Go check this place out, you will not be disappointed!

Yelp
Spring colors at the end of summer as we prepare for the fall. Flavor for all year round! I throughly enjoyed my Strawberry Cardamom milkshake from Cajou Creamery. The light and delicious flavor of it works for this gorgeous Saturday. They have a variety of flavors that you can get as scoops, in pints, or in the form of a milkshake. While the inside of the store itself is quaint and doesn't allow for indoor eating, there are a few tables and chairs outdoors to sit at and chat while you enjoy your dessert. BONUS: This black-owned vegan creamery is located next to a black-owned vegan juice bar that also sells a limited selection of food and a variety of amazing juices! Translation: Get here now!

Yelp
The ice cream here is always outstanding and the owners are fantastic. I tried the Jamaican rum and raisin for the first time and it was so amazing.

Yelp
I got the flight and tried five flavors - the blueberry cheesecake, the guava and cheese, oatmeal raisin (I think), brown sugar pecan (I think), and sea salt brownie. I'm by no means a vegan and honestly tend not to enjoy the vegan experience when I have eaten at vegan establishments, but Cajou...Cajou is different. I want to go back!!! I want to try the flavors in the red velvet cake cone. I want all the things that's Cajou Creamery because all of it was delicious (even if I couldn't quite remember the names of two of the flavors that I tried). I love the location. I love the mission. I love the product! Highly recommend! And it feels good to know that I had a healthy-ish snack that was delicious!

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE this place. I had no idea there was a place in Baltimore that had exclusively vegan ice cream. I was shocked at the variety of options. They're mainly all made with cashew milk. The vibe here is very warm and welcoming, which is good, because there's a lot of things to take in. Each flavor that I was able to try had a lot of depth. The owner was there when I stopped in, and he's very passionate about all things ice cream and he's knowledgeable about every ingredient inside his products rather. They also have different flavored cake cones! I'll be coming back to this place and telling all my friends about it. Did I mention they have an ice cream flight?

Yelp
This is the best ice cream I have ever had- vegan or not! I come here each time I visit Baltimore. This time, I got the passion fruit and it was insane, but every flavor is amazing. The owner is very friendly and service was great! Very cute aesthetic inside.

Yelp
We were in from NYC and wanted to try this dairy free option. I had the horchata and rum raisin which were incredible, still rich and delicious. Made with cashews so my daughter with nut allergy had to pass. Look forward to a chocolate option the next time we're in town. The owner/server was very nice to boot! Check this place out!!

Yelp
I forgot to take a picture ‍ but the ice cream was sooooo good! All of their ice cream are plant-based/vegan. I had a double scoop of horchata and cacao-cakle. It was delicious! They're also black-owned and super nice & friendly! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!
