Cajun Craven

Cajun Craven Called about live crabs. They said they have it. Asked about size and was told #1 mixed with other sizes. Bought 10lbs of live crabs. Gentleman that sold me the crabs came out with crabs in a bucket. Sizes were accurate to what was communicated over the phone. Gentleman said they were alive but not moving because they had been in the cooler and not that active. Took his word for it. Came home and began the rinsing process before boiling the crab. All but 4 crabs were dead. I was expecting them to come alive after rising them with water but majority were goners. I messaged on FB as soon as I found out. Owner reach out later on stating that the staff made sure every single one were alive when picked. That’s a fat lie because when I was checking them, many were not moving and the worker said they are not moving because they were in the cooler. So if they were not moving then how does he know it’s a live. It could be not moving because they were dead. Needless to say nothing was done by the owner. I’m Vietnamese and buy blue crabs often. Owner claims that I may have caused them to die but I went directly home to wash them. A 30 min ride is not going to kill crabs and cause them to smell so horrible. I want to eat live crabs. Why would I make this up for? You guys got to do a better job at this Cajun Craven. When a customer feels cheated and taken advantage of, it’s not a good look for you. First time giving this place a try for live crabs since it’s closer but was disappointed. Threw the dead ones away that smelled like they had died for quite some time in fear of getting food poisoning. Only the 4 live ones were cooked. $50 Cash :•( BEWARE OF THIS PLACE OWNER WILL SIDE WITH EMPLOYEES EVEN IF THEY LIE

If you don’t mind eating your food out of a beg. Plastic wear if you’re lucky. Horrible service. Place looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in a very long time. Crawfish juice all over the windows. Go for it. For me, won’t ever go back. 2nd trip there. Same results. Don’t waist your time and money

Placed an order for a field run $2/lb the day before with a specified time. Upon arrival, they had not reserved a bag for me. Instead, a jumbo bag was pulled out and was told to pay for the jumbo pricing $3/lb when that was not what I had placed the deposit for. Also received 30 instead of the 35 lb that was initially told to me. Better off ordering crawfish from your local Asian seafood market. Not worth

There are many great qualities about this restaurant, such as the food is great, I personally love the crab legs here, the service is nice and welcoming, I really enjoyed how nice it is in there, little things like the free toothpicks when you're leaving, or the free mints really make it so much more welcoming. The food is often fresh, and the sauce just tastes heavenly. the music that plays in the background makes everything so nice. The whole scene of the restaurant makes it feel so welcoming, and the chairs and tables set up on the outside of the restaurant give you the option of eating outside with the fresh air. I recommend this because it enhances the experience of the whole thing. The staff here are all so nice, and they sometimes give out great recommendations of the food that they have. Every time that I make a stop at Cajun Craven, I always discover something new on the menu that tastes better than I ever expected. This restaurant exceeds my expectations every single visit. This place is a great place to go with friends because you can ask to take pictures here that go on a wall of customers that have gone there. I went here with my family once when I was really young and every time I go I get reminded of that nice time, because of the picture we took on the wall.

Absolutely hands down one of our top ten crawfish places. Highly recommend getting the craven seasoning

By no means was this a fine-dining establishment but I feel they are not going for this. Staff were very personable and talked to you like a human being (Ask for Eric he was amazing). Food came out quickly for a Friday and was seasoned perfectly and was clearly fresh. Overall, if you want a very casual but nonetheless great dining experience, this is the place for you! If you want a high-end, luxurious time, this is quite far from it. Great food, great people, and I will absolutely be returning!

The food and the service is usually good. However, during this visit, we had to wait a little over 10 minutes to have a staff member come to our table to take our order Then they brought out the food items, one at a time. And they forgot our rice, until we asked for it. We hardly got checked on at our table, so we had to constantly ask for someone to call our waitress for refills. When it was time to pay, we had to wait another 10-15 minutes for someone to come to the register and have us pay. So, I'm not sure what was going on that day, but it was a not-so-pleasant experience.

Cajun Craven is a great restaurant! The food is absolutely amazing. When I get there I am automatically filled with joy because I know I am about to experience excellent food. The service is good too. The waiter always make sure you have just what you need. They are very nice and respectful. Everything about Cajun Craving is extraordinary especially the food. It has the perfect amount of seasoning. They even have a Cajun sauce that is to die for. The restroom and restaurant is very clean considering the food can be a bit messy. The walls are filled with pictures of different people and their families having an amazing time at this excellent restaurant. The atmosphere is just amazing. You walk in and you do not want to leave. Everything about Cajun Craven is astonishing. It even smells good! Overall this place is somewhere I would continuously go to.

Wow.... I have no other words to explain how delicious this place is. Best crawfish I think I have had this season and maybe ever. I got the spicy with Cajun seasoning and it was perfect. The spice was just enough to get your nose running and to me that's exactly how eating crawfish should be. The peeled so nicely and I got a lot of the claw meat out. The corn was honestly my favorite part. Some places the corn is a hit or miss but I could've easily just ordered a bag of corn LOL. Our service was quick and our server was really nice and answered any questions that we had. This is a cute little place and the walls are covered in pictures of customers which really makes it feel personal and homey in there. But I'm shocked that they weren't slammed busy because it was just that good. I will definitely be back!

Great crawfish flavor, but Service consistently sucks. You have to wait for 30-45 mins for a table 10-15 mins for a drink order 45 mins for your food At this point being your own condiments and lemons cause they will take forever or be out of it. 15 mins to close your tab. An hour before closing tables are still dirty after guests left 20 mins ago

We were looking to get our first crawfish of the season and had it all planned to check out Pearland's newest spot. After waiting for more than an hour, they announced they were out of crawfish. We were determined to get some mud bugs and a friend suggested her favorite spot Cajun Craven. I was a little hesitant just from a quick glance on Yelp but our options were limited. We called ahead to make sure they had some crawfish available in which they said they did and there was not really a wait time to be seated. The restaurant itself looks old and outdated and can be described as a hole in the wall. Here, they just throw some plastic on the table, serve everything on disposable containers and throw everything out in one swoop. Efficient but tacky. Customer service was not that great. Everyone was nice, but service was very slow and you had to ask for things multiple times if you needed something. As soon as we arrived around 6, they said they too ran out of crawfish but was expecting a delivery in the next hour. We decided to stay and munch on things until they did arrive. At this point, we were on the verge of starvation and needed food ASAP. I wanted boiled shrimp with my crawfish originally, so I got that with corn, sausage and potatoes. I got it spicy with their signature Craven style which was Cajun, but with garlic and butter added. We also ordered some Craven wings, Cajun fries, and a order of combination fried rice for the table. All of our boiled seafood came in bags but came out very staggered. All the non boiled food also only came out after reminding that we ordered them. I like when places have buckets or bowls for shells, but here, you just pull from the bag, peel and throw your scraps on the table. I have also been spoiled with going to places where I can order headless shrimp and they even make it easily peelable. Here, I really had to put some work in for someone that does seafood boils maybe 2-3 times a year. The shrimp were a good size though and cooked just right. The sauce was pretty weak in my opinion though. It was not spicy and did not have a garlic kick that I was expecting. What made it decent was dipping it into my butter and Cajun seasoning concoction. The corn was cooked right and did soak up some seasoning. The potatoes were tiny and overcooked. The shrimp boil was a little disappointing overall. The chicken wings were really good though. They were a good size and seasoned very well. The fried rice and fries were also very good. We did end up getting a little crawfish once it arrived. They were still small in size but that's out of the restaurant's control. The overall experience was just ok here. I don't see myself coming back anytime soon.

If you're looking for good seafood and great prices, this is the spot. Don't come expecting bells and whistles, because that is not what type of establishment this is. They are pretty much a backyard seafood boil or fish fry... and, that's why I keep coming back. From boiled shrimp, yummy crawfish, and delectable fried fish, Cajun Craven doesn't miss. The boiled seafood is seasoned from the inside out and is super fresh. We prefer the cajun-style, spicy (no sauce, but seasoned), but they do offer the trendy style with spicy garlic butter and it's called "craven style". The corn and potatoes are always cooked perfectly and their french fries (yes, I like french fries with my boiled seafood) are crispy and delicious And, the sweet tea is the truth! Check them out year-round, because they offer blue crab outside of crawfish season.

Local hole in the wall. Came here for crawfish we got the 5lb craven style added sausage corn and potatoes. It was a bit pricey but the flavor was delicious and the size of the crawfish were large! My boyfriend did the fried catfish with fried shrimp and fried rice. The catfish was crispy which was nice. It was a dive bar hole in the wall vibes, not sure if I'll be back but the crawfish was pretty good.

This is my second review. It's so funny that somebody asked what does Hanks have to do with it and who the hell is Charlie? The food was amazing and so so good!! There's a 2lb minimum for crawfish, but that's no worries as we devoured 4lb of crawfish & 2 clusters of Snow Crab Legs! The tables have plastic over them, so you just dump your food and have at it! The food comes piping hot and in bags, so you just open & pour your food and all the good juices out onto the table. The crab clusters came with very sturdy scissors, although the tougher parts such as the claws were a challenge to open for me at least. The server/service was nice and you pay at the front once your finished. It's a nice place to go after a long day of walking around the zoo as what we did : ). There is also outdoor available as well! Definitely coming back when I'm in town again!

Definitely wasn't disappointed when I stopped by here. I was leaving Galveston and discovered this hidden gym. Their food was on point and it came out pretty fast. I've heard about it from friends but never tried it for myself. Very glad I did! The seating area was spacious and they have a bar as well. Thanks for the awesome customer service guys!!

My husband and I went here recently and the service was horrible. They took awhile to seat us, we were standing there for sometime and the employees were just passing by and never said we will be with you shortly I finally asked if we are suppose wait or seat ourselves. The young man with long hair was our waiter, he never came back to our table and asked if we needed any refills, I had to ask 2 different waiters for assistance and they said ok but it that was it. I could D see the second waiter from were I was sitting and i made eye contact with him a couple of times and im guessing thats why he finally brought the refill. When we were leaving our waiter rang us up and requested to have his tip in cash since it takes 3 weeks for him to get his tips if paid through a credit card. I understand about the tip but our waiter was not attentive. My husband tipped anyway. My husband and I both agreed that we will never step foot in this place again. This place is unwelcoming.

If someone were to ever look for me and my girls, they'd probably find us at Cajun Craven going crazy on 5lbs each. We do not play when it comes to good crawfish. Our pictures grace the walls of their fine establishment, some of us multiple times. I've even got my boyfriend addicted. Order Up: 5lbs, Cajun, XTRA Spicy with 2 Potatoes, 2 Corn and 2 Butters add an order of fries and a fried boudin Its the perfect seasoning, perfect amount of spicy. Not too hot, but spicy enough to make my hearing cloudy and my lips tingle up just the way I like. My pinching fingers usually tingle for a few hours after eating too. If you aren't a fan of BIG spice like my boyfriend, you can opt for mild seasoning. They have 2 flavors: Cajun and Craven (Cajun with Garlic Butter Mixed) and 3 heat levels: Mild, Spicy and XTRA Spicy. Shrimp with the heads = YES Snowcrab is a bit pricy, but so good. It can get packed and sometimes the waitlist is long but you can always order to go. You'll get addicted and find yourself craving that fresh, flavorful crawfish. Might find yourself there before payday comes around, but it's worth it lol..

The only reason I'm giving this 3 stars is because the crawfish was so good. This place was on my list of places I've wanted to try since I love crawfish so much. So I decided to plan a birthday dinner there for one of my friends, I drove all the way out from Katy. The service is probably some of the most awful I've ever had. There were ten of us. We mostly got crawfish. We ordered drinks with it and butter. We barely get drinks halfway through the crawfish. I asked for a glass of wine, they brought me a michelob ultra. Butter wasn't brought out until we were almost done. I almost begged multiple times just for at least a glass of water. We would of stayed and had more and had drinks to celebrate my friends birthday as it was so beautiful out... but we all just got so annoyed. To top that off... he added a 15 percent gratuity to all of our checks other than two of us. We all just left really disappointed. Which sucks cuz I loved the crawfish. So much so if the service was good I'd drive back multiple times from Katy.

Looking for flavorful crawfish by the pound? This is it! Although, I have only had the crawfish, I'd feel comfortable vouching for the rest of the food. The staff here is down to earth which gives this place a mom and pop feel. Save your designer duds as this place is super casual and no frills. Def check out this hidden gem if you're in the neighborhood!

Omg!! I don't know who has better crawfish than Cajun craven. The sauce is one of a kind! I frequent here often because it's just that good. It can be pricey but it's well worth it. My only suggestion is that for take-out, you guys should invest in better packaging for the crawfish. The last time I ordered the other day, the plastic bags ripped and so my juice leaked out leaving plain crawfish. I would suggest aluminum pans like what BB's has. I would recommend this place to all of my friends and family.

Food was mediocre. I used to come alot because food was good and service was good. Now the service is terrible. The servers are over worked and have a million things to do so they can't pay attention to their tables. We never got water refills, never got another beer,and just ridiculous. I saw other tables getting up, to find waiters to ask for more items, bc there is a tons of waiters, just doing different things. The ambiance was ok, a bit dark for my taste and never liked just throwing crawfish shells on table, like I cant a bucket? And then The flavor of the crawfish was good but couldn't distinguish between mild and spicy, they were both super hot. . So after years of going to that place, they have definitely changed and won't be returning, my family and I were disappointed.

I seriously love going here! Everything is always super hot, they always have the game on, staff is really sweet & it's not expensive! I go here a few times a week some weeks! I always call to see if it's fresh & frozen & they're honest every time. Great job y'all :)

Cajun Craven is one of my favorite seafood restaurants. I find myself going a few times throughout the month. Mainly for the crawfish & crab toast. The customer service use to be great; unfortunately, every time they hire new servers it changes. I love how everyone help each other out from time to time; however, when it gets busy it's hard to get your server's attention. Although the customer service could be a little better I would still recommend this place. They really do have some of the best crawfish in the South Houston area.

Have to admit food is good, always have boiled crawfish and some boiled shrimp, avoid weekends, tends to get busy. Staff is very uncoordinated and tend to forget some orders, definitely need a better system or better managing. Besides the minor stuff not related to food, I'll keep coming back!

To start...the crab toast is incredible! Honestly doesn't taste like crab if you don't like fishy flavors...melt in your mouth goodness! MUST TRY! The blackened catfish was recommended to me by the waiter to really get that unique viet-Cajun flavor versus the fried catfish. I thought it was incredible the catfish was cooked perfectly and the hot spice and slight fragrant sweetness of the charring was something out of this world! I really enjoyed the spice powdered over the fries and available in a shaker at the table, as well. Really unique homemade spiciness that I can't quite put my finger on, but it is different than a grocery store style Cajun spice seasoning for sure. I haven't had much "Viet-Cajun" food in my life, but I think this is a great new food discovery! I had heard this was an awesome spot to try some of the best Vietnamese Cajun food in H-town...didn't disappoint! It's a grungy place with a comfort food style vibe. The waitress was quick to fill my water and very attentive. The wait staff seemed to all be having an enjoyable time in their work and that's a good sign! No complaints!

Solid no frills restaurant, but good value for what you pay. They use fold out tables, basic chairs, disposable table cloths, brown paper towels, etc. We got: - 1 dozen oysters ($12.48/dz) - crab toast ($4.16 for 2 pieces) - 2 lb crawfish , craven style & spicy ($9.87/lb**) Minimum order of 2 lbs for crawfish. Spicy level has a kick that makes you sweat We were warmer but but it was good! - 1 lb snow crab cluster , craven style & mild ($19.24/lb**). It was good, but wish we got spicy level. - 1 lb king crab clusters , craven style & mild ($28.60/lb**). It was good, but we preferred the snow crab. Cons: - Charged for extra lemons ($1.04 ) For the amount we ordered, I'd expect lemons to be included. Or at least tell customers there's a charge. - Restrooms are dirty and smelly. Air freshener could help.. **Note: There's seasonal pricing on crawfish & crab. We went at the beginning of the season in Jan when it may be higher.

Best crawfish I have ever had. I used to live in lake Charles and this beats anything I had in louisiana. I regularly have to bring relatives to this place when they come from overseas because it's so good. Highly recommend

Still no improvement!! The only reason there's a third star is because the food arrived hot and was tasty..... but the service! Good luck! If you don't order the first time someone comes up to your table good luck, good luck getting a refill on your drink, good luck adding an item, good luck on getting anyone to come to your table without being a "bad customer". It took 10 mins (for someone to even look my way) to put my name down on a notebook! It's too expensive to have to be treated like a second rate citizen. Sadly unless you get it to go I don't recommend this during "busy" hours or a weekend.

We came here not really knowing what to expect but we had read fabulous reviews so we decided to check it out. The service needs a little bit of work slow and sitting as in slow to get anyone's attention to get our drink order. Other than that the food was fabulous we ordered the chicken wings, egg rolls and gumbo. For our main course we ordered catfish and crawfish poboy, grilled shrimp and grilled tilapia it was absolutely delicious. All our meals had a fabulous flavors and everything came out so freaking hot I haven't been to a restaurant in a long time that actually serves you hot food straight from the kitchen to your table. The only thing we did not like what the fried rice we couldn't put our finger on what it was if it was a spice or the way it was prepared but not your typical Asian fried rice. Other than that can't wait to dine there again.

I don't know what took this Cajun girl so long to get here! This place is awesome! The service is fast and friendly. The prices are unbeatable! I took my 16 yr old son here one evening as I was craving some boiled shrimp. Per usual, I check my Yelp app for a little help. Low and behold I've had this place bookmarked for a while! Leggo!! The boiled shrimp are HUGE! That spicy, buttery, garlicy Cajun Craven sauce set them off! I also ordered a pound blue crab, spicy. I'm very picky about my seafood, these crab were full and flavorful. My son ordered the fried shrimp poboy. The breading on the shrimp was perfect as was the seasoning. I could visit this spot daily. The tables are covered in plastic. The seafood shells can be left on the table for easy cleanup. There are a few nice sized televisions for entertainment. Nice, laid back atmosphere. Family friendly.

I'm new in the area and this place was recommended but I called to place an order for pickup but was asked to hold briefly. That turned into being on hold 30 mins then I thought ok it's Fri maybe they're really busy and forgot. I called back and the phone kept say the party is busy, try again later smh

Today we went in and had great service, if I can remember correctly Sam was our waitress and she made sure that we were well taken care of. The oyster Diablo, crab toast, and crawfish were great. There weren't too many people there today around 3:45PM.

I probably be here tomorrow because I sin leaves for the Air Force Monday. But daddy is taking care of daddy tonight. The place is hopping tonight - my first time coming by here in the evening. People are out on the patio. I ordered 5 pounds of craven Cajun Crawfish -mild this time --spicy had me sweating from my head to my undies. I added two sausage and two corn. The sausage marinated in the craven sauce is like the ultimate thrill ride for taste buds. I started with the Cajun Boudin and hot and seasoned perfectly. Really couldn't taste the seasoning today of Crawfish The Crawfish was not as seasoned or fresh or hot as usual. Today it was good but a little disappointing.

I rarely ever eat crawfish from too many places nowadays simply because too many people serve them now and not too many people really know how to do it any good....see what I did there? LOL Well, a friend of mine kept raving about this place, but I just couldn't bring myself to drive all the way across town from Jersey Village for this place. One day, we were down the road and decided to stop by because we just had to see what all the fuss was about. O-M-G!! I've had great crawfish, but this place is a "Top Shelf" place for mudbugs....but let me tell you right now...if you can't handle them hot....you might want to make sure to let them know because they assume everyone that comes in can take it as such! Their shrimp fried rice is a best seller as well....so eat up and come let me know if I wasn't right! - Best you've ever had!!!

From the outside seems to be a small local establishment. However, upon entering you feel like you've just stepped into your Auntie's house and she told you to sit down and get comfortable. I have been here on several occasions and wnjoyed each visit. The food has been fresh, hot and delicious....My most recent visit I found myself self eating a huge whole Dungeness crab ..It was fresh and full of flavor. It made me miss being at home(East Coast native).... In my experience I like to go here when it first opens in the afternoon. If not you might find yourself with a little bit of a wait.

I did a to go order. I was taken care of pretty quickly and easy payment. I don't know if it was just my batch or the day I went, but the 5lbs of cajun garlic and butter spicy along with 4 potatoes that I ordered was not that great. I can tell what was fresh or frozen. I can also tell if it was cooked for too long. The crawfish tasted frozen and/or it was cooked a bit more than it should have been. I had trouble taking the meat out from the tail. On the other hand, the sauce was good. The potatoes were probably not my liking either. I wish it was soft inside but still firm on the outside. This one was tough for me to eat.

I ordered this catfish sampler and I requested if it could be cooked a little longer or replaced since it did not look well cooked. Server took the platter and came back and told me they could not do anything about it.

I am going to start by saying my family and I are truly saddened of how bad this restaurant has changed. We would go often last year and the prior years. Tonight we ordered 1 crawfish fried rice and one combination fried rice, 5 pounds of crawfish, appetizer shrimps, limes and butter. Problem #1: we never received our extra butter and limes, told "manager" yet it was still on my receipt. If the server would of come back to check on us at any point she would have known. If you charge for every little thing, your staff should check on their tables. Problem #2: We told the "manager" our crawfish fried rice that we had, had little to no crawfish in our fried rice. We requested it taken off our ticket. She proceeded to take it to the back, and then came back with many crawfish at the top of the tray, saying there's all the crawfish. We told her if that was the case why did she take it to the back first before coming back to register. That's unsanitary to begin with. Problem #3: We asked to talk to someone above her, she said loudly...and I mean loudly "I AM IT BABY I'M IT!!". Sorry but I am not your BABY lady!!! and I know for a fact she is not the owner. My family and I cannot believe how disrespectful your "manager" is to your loyal customers. At this time I believe you have lost our business, and we will be letting others know. If I could put zero stars, that is what I would do!

Best crawfish in southeast Houston but very unorganized from seating to pickup orders. Would still recommend but expect to wait

* About the service: I came here to order 2 things: an order of 6 grilled jumbo shrimps, and a pound of cajun crawfish (mild). The waiter asked me what car do I drive so they can bring the order out for me. After exactly 30mins, I still haven't got my order, so I had to walk back in to pick it up myself. It was 7:40 PM, the place wasn't busy, and the waiter just walked back from the kitchen when I walked in. So I'm just gonna assume that there were a lot of things going on in the kitchen that he forgot about my order. * About the food The grilled jumbo shrimps are delicious and packed with flavors. The crawfish, in another hand, is a disaster. It smells very cajun, but it doesn't taste like cajun. It's stone-cold and bland. Well luckily for me the crawfish can be reheated and I still have cajun powder at home, or it would be so much worse experience. The 3 stars are an appreciation for for the grilled shrimps. Otherwise, I would give this visit 1 star if I can. I hope my next visit will be more satisfying and happier than this one.

They don't clean the crawfish and shrimp. They would get bigger ratings if they cleaned the critters.

This man is from Louisiana and let me tell you.... he even cried the crawfish is so spicy. If you love crawfish you have to try this place. They have 2 options Cajun or cravin which is a garlic butter sauce that is AMAZING!! Also they serve crawfish ALL YEAR LONG. Pricy but fuck it.

I had looked at the reviews and I was craving for crawfish even though it's not crawfish season I still have it a try. I was so excited to eat crawfish!! Then this little white strings caught me off guard. I was worried and wasn't sure what it was so I called the waiter and ask he replied he wasn't sure as he doesn't eat crawfish. He went to the kitchen And asked their response was it's just veins from the head. I maybe wrong but I had ask ppl And they all said the same thing. Those were worms!! I felt so nauseated! Payed my bill ( not even compensated as I didn't finish my food) I vomited! I couldn't bare to see those white strings and I ate some!!! I see that most people like this spot but that's it for me. My family and friends will not go here again. That's for sure

Horrible service by this employee very rude and claims she owns the place so she can do what she's wants but I'm not sure if she's the owns it cause she also said she's worked here for two years and the real owner is a b**** and won't care either so idk which one‍this used to be my favorite now I will never everrrrr come back and all this started because I asked her to put two pounds of crawfish out of 5 in a separate bag‍oh and the tall african American boy was just as rude his comment without even knowing what happened was "just leave we don't need your service" Look at her with her nose uncovered just spreading covid-19

When here for dinner. We had the Fried Seatrout, that came with hushpuppies, fries, and garlic toast. Also had the combo with 1 Catfish, 2 shrimp, and 2 oysters. We also ordered the minimum 2lbs of Crawfish. Ok first the fish. You will get large portions. Don't expect a lot of flavor. They are fired kind of hard. The breading will come off. Now the crayfish. Let me say I should jot have ordered it outside of the season, but..... they are not boiled in a crawfish boil seasoning. They put them in Some Buttery sauce. I can't call it seasoning. We got the spicy version. It will leave an after taste in you mouth and throat. Not many people there and service was good. That is the reason for 3 stars.

Got the crawfish, shrimp, snow and Dungeness crab, and oysters, all craven spicy except the oysters. All was very good!

The food was great. We got crawfish, gumbo, andddd yea that's actually it. The crawfish was a house special (I believe it's craven sauce??). Nice garlic butter flavor. It's not spicy to me but it does have a kick that you start to feel after eating so many. Also pretty decent size crawfish. The gumbo had a great roux. Not too thick and not too thin. Very flavorful. I added crackers to mine for a bit of a crunch. The service was eh. I personally am not a fan of putting my food on the table but that's what they want you to do. They want you to toss your shells / trash on the table in front of you. We had to ask for a bucket twice and they also charge for limes (????). Anywho, id come back for sure (as I already have). Just maybe not dine in.

I love this place and have been coming here for years. You tend to see the same people. During peak season, be prepared to wait but its worth you getting fresh not frozen crawfish year round. Don't sleep on the oysters as they are huge and fresh. Crab toast is awesome and they added turkey necks about 2 years ago and this is also awesome.

1st of all THERE ARE NO PLATES You are given one pair of kitchen shears for your crab legs. Yes scissors!!! The salad was served in the finest styrofoam cup to make you feel super wealthy. Your food is served right off the table! The management left early due to it being slow so I was blessed to speak to the cook friendly guy. NOT. Basically if you are comfortable eating seafood off the table or out of a concession stand bowl this is your place . If you have standards and don't want salmonella go to another place!

I've been coming here for years, but recently they started nickel & dimeing you on everything. Charge for lemon wedges, butter and even worse, now they charge you 4% to pay with a credit card bc the owners refuse to eat the cost of credit fees. Advice to the owners - don't be cheap!! Oh and keep bottles of hot sauce & ketchup at the tables. You have to hunt those down too. My goodness!
