The Best Cajun Seafood Boils in Minneapolis and St. Paul - Eater Twin Cities

"In addition to offering boils of shrimp, mussels, and crawfish by the pound, this no-frills suburban spot also offers fried fish and shrimp sandwiches as well as a cold meat option. Perhaps perfect for spice averse Minnesotans, customers get to pick the spice level." - Cinnamon Janzer

We ordered our meals for take out and the orders were ready when we got there. Smelled really good in the establishment. My 12 fried shrimp 🍤 was the bomb, so flavorful. The location is easy to find. I would recommend eating here or take out.

Google
Cajun Deli was amazing! Walked in and was greeted by two very sweet and friendly gentlemen. We initially opted for dine in but last minute changed for takeout and they were super kind about it! Service was amazing. Me and my boyfriend got a lb of their whole shrimp, black mussels, baby clams, and crawfish. Everything came around to $65 I think. We tried their house mix and XX Spicy flavor. They coated everything so so good! Flavor was perfect, spice level wasn’t as spicy as I expected but still a little kick. We waited only about 10minutes and got it quick! They bagged everything up very nice and bonus, they even provided a cut of cardboard so you can hold the bottom without getting burned. Super thoughtful of them! Definitely check them out!

Found this place from a story on Bring Me the News. Great food, fast service. Had the Shrip boil, with the house mix (Louisiana Style and Garlic Butter). Medium spice level. Wife had the catfish basket and 2 big filets and a good portion of fries Prices was reasonable and as tpu can see, ypu get tour moneys worth. Like the news story said, a little hole in the wall place with big flavor. I have to agree with that. You have to come and experience the food to understand that the flavor this place brings.

Google
The house mix is amazing, everything was seasoned perfectly, I got medium and my boyfriend got spicy. The fries and wings were great with the dipping sauce as well. We were really impressed with how everything tasted, my boyfriend doesn’t normally like seafood and he even liked it. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend!

Google
Omg 😱 it’s freakin delicious!!! I had the fried shrimp and soft shell crab 🦀 chefs kiss 🤌🏻 you have a new regular so glad I tried this spot. Can’t wait to try the whole menu lol thank you!

Google
Food was good and service was excellent. They have great prices. We got 8 wings for $9 and the fried catfish sandwich with fries totaling to $21.50. We also got it spicy with no additional charges. Waiter checked in multiple times and made sure we didn’t run out of water. Definitely coming back to try the seafood boil 😝.

Google
Was my first time trying and it was absolutely terrible.. Shrimp was super soggy, The crab was not good at all and especially the Butter, garlic sauce. It Tasted very cheap and we paid $90 in total. My friend also ordered sausage in her order and she never got it..

When I moved to Minnesota a couple years ago, my friend introduced me to this place and since then I have always loved this place! The seafood is always fresh, the seasoning is always on point and never changes! The spiciness, the garlic, chef's kiss! I always order the snow crab legs and I feel like I could eat it everyday lol. The price is friendly to my wallet I hope it will never change in the future. ❤️ They will give you a pair of gloves and a bib, and a bucket for your shells. The place is pretty clean, and the staff are very caring and nice. Absolutely will always be back again! Anyone who reads this please come and give this place a try, 🤤

Yelp
A teammate and I decided to treat ourselves to a fun lunch after coordinating a train of shiny new car models at the auto show. We got there at 3:30 pm - after the lunch rush. We didn't leave until 7:45 pm, watching the dinner rush come and go while we sat and chatted for hours. The guys were so lovely - engaging, warm, welcoming - and they continually dropped by to refill my friend's emptied water cup over the course of those several hours, to the point that we all started laughing about it. The plates were generous, the seasoning on point, the spice levels perfect. There are several cajun hole-in-the-walls in the Twin Cities, and they're all very chill, but I'd say this spot takes the cake in that area. I'll be back!

Yelp
TL;DR: Cajun Deli serves some of the best Cajun seafood in Minneapolis with bold flavors, a killer house special sauce, and consistently great boils--portion sizes could be better, but the quality never disappoints. Cajun Deli has been one of my go-to Cajun seafood spots in Minneapolis for years. I love supporting local businesses, and this place continues to serve up some of the best Cajun flavors around. Their house special sauce hits all the right notes--spicy, flavorful, heavy, and consistently delicious--exactly what I want in a great seafood boil. I've been ordering from Cajun Deli for over five years, and while things naturally evolve with time, they've remained consistently good. The only minor complaint is that portion sizes have gradually shrunk, possibly due to new ownership, but the overall quality and taste have never disappointed. I almost always go for the larger crawfish boil--anywhere from 3 to 10 pounds, depending on the occasion. My go-to order? House special mix, extra spicy--and it never fails to hit the spot. For a crawfish joint in the middle of Minnesota, I'll take it!

Yelp
Cajun Deli been Poppin for yearssss! This is the only Cajun place I frequent where I feel the weight equals the cost and the customer service is great. I typically get the seafood boil with mud bugs and shrimp (head off). The house season is excellent and the staff is very down to earth. I've never ate in however this is my go to for Cajun food!

Yelp
I heard great things about this spot, so we placed a to-go order on Father's Day and it was great! We got snow crab clusters, black mussels, crawfish and head on shrimp with the house mix sauce, which had lots of flavors and lots of minced garlic. We ordered in-person and it took about 15 minutes but the tray came out piping hot, and stayed hot until we came home. The seafood was fresh, sauce was flavorful (although it could be spicier so I am going up on spice level next time), and the snow crabs were a good size. There's a couple tables in the restaurant but I don't know if anyone really eats in . Looks like most people order to go or call in for pick up at the counter. However, staff was super friendly.

Yelp
What a great find. What a great little place to get some great food. staff was great, food was terrific plus I loved the mural on the wall : )

Yelp
100/10. Highly recommend the house mix. Lobster was to die for. Very impressed with how fast they prepared everything considering we had a large order.

Yelp
Holy cow! If I didn't live 30 minutes from this place I'd be in trouble - I'd be here ALL the time. The catfish is so well cooked and flavorful for such a good price. We had 2 pounds of crawfish with the spicy sauce and it was sooo good we finished the whole tray. The service was quick and friendly and I appreciated that our cashier helped us pick the perfect spice level for our boil. Overall this is the best Cajun place I've been to in Minnesota and will definitely be back again!

Yelp
Exvellent and l would say the best tasting boils in MN hands down. I eat out alot and l haven't been able to beat this flovor in 6 states. A Must Try...

Yelp
This place is tucked away in the corner of a plaza, where the Dragon Star Supermarket is. The storefront is pretty small so I wouldn't recommend coming with a large group. They seem to do a lot of takeout orders as well. You order everything by the pound and can customize your boil that way. We did crawfish, mussels, and crab claws. We were forewarned that the crab claws would be difficult to break and they were. They also seemed either overcooked or not fresh. The crawfish came in an assortment of sizes. We combined Louisiana style sauce with garlic butter, as recommended and it was delicious. Would come again!
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered the fried shrimp with fries on the side because I was in the mood for something fried and Cajun. Cajun deli hit the spot. I just wish they had more seating. It's an Excellent take out suggestion, and not a bad place to dine in if you don't mind a little harmonious chaos. I was very satisfied with my order and would recommend Cajun deli if you are craving NOLO cuisines.

Yelp
With a lot of Cajun Seafood places popping up in the Twin Cities, I find myself going right back to this spot! Seriously, if you love Cajun seafood boil, do not go anywhere else but here, in my opinion is by far, the BEST place to go! They have fried seafood baskets with fries or you can get seafood by the pound. They have snow crab legs, mussels, whole prawns, shrimp (peeled & unpeeled), crayfish & blue crab. You get 1 corn & 1 potato with each pound of seafood that you get. They have 4 types of sauce, I highly recommended getting the house sauce & that you do not wear a top that you do not want stained. Also, don't let the spice levels fool you because medium is pretty spicy. I have been going here for years & I drive all the way up from Shakopee just to get my fill on seafood! I'm actually surprised I haven't reviewed this place yet!

Yelp
This is the best Cajun you can find in Minnesota! The staff is always very friendly and the food is always tasty!! I have eaten here multiple times and it's been fantastic! The house seasoning is delish and there is always PLENTY of garlic! My mouth is watering just thinking of it now!

Yelp
We went on an early Sunday evening expecting to dine in but the restaurant was packed albeit there's a very limited number of seats. The wait was 30 minutes with 1 party a head of us so instead we decided to take out instead even then it was about a 30 minute wait for the food. Unfortunately, we couldn't change our order to dine in instead when a large group left- signs were posted stating so. The employees were friendly with everyone. Once we got home I was ready to devour the food. We ordered by the pound, each pound comes with a potato and a quarter of corn. House mix really is the best in mild- it's the perfect level of spiciness where you can still taste all the other flavors. If you can't handle any spice get the 'baby spice.' It's best eaten hot as it can get salty after sitting out. I haven't found a better place in MN.

Talia B.

Yelp
Food is always pretty good and I the house sauce/butter. But I did order an extra side of corn and potatoes. Looks like the corn came correct, but not the potatoes

Yelp
Been here twice now. Best seafood I've ever had. Service is amazing!! Recommend the house mix seasoning!!! I'm already counting the days till I return!!

Yelp
Cajun Deli's specialty is seafood boil. Not sure what that is? You order seafood by the pound (shrimp, crab, mussels... etc). It's prepared in a big massive bowl with the sauce of your choice. This IS VERY MESSY. However, they provide plastic bibs and plastic gloves so it's actually relatively easy to walk out as you came in! If you like garlic, their house sauce was incredible. I ordered it "mild" spicy because I had my 2-year-old daughter with me and it was still too hot for her. The shrimp was moist and tender, and the crab legs were so good paired with their sauce. My only complaint: they gave me the hand crackers for the shell but didn't give me a pick. My crab leg cracking skills could use some work;)
google avatar

Tenzin J. D.

Yelp
This was my first time eating seafood boil and I'm so glad it was here because the food was delicious we got a cluster of crab legs, mussels, peeled shrimp, and each of those meats came with 1 potato and 1 corn, so all 3 people sharing this plate had one of each. We had to order side of rice for everyone which the rice was also yummy and perfect consistency. We got the mix of all sauces and got spicy level. The food was pretty spicy as my nose kept running, but it wasn't too bad where I couldn't eat it. The workers were very polite as they kept stopping by us for more water numerous times. We got water cups so they were free of charge. I've been craving to go back! This whole plate was around $53.

Yelp
Okaaaay... where do i begin? The beginning works well for me too. LOL So..i needed to go to Brooklyn Park to drop off something to a friend and while out there, I was craving some deep fried catfish. Not really knowing what's out there, I yelped "fried catfish" and came upon the Cajun Deli, which is located LITERALLY down the street from my actual destination in BP. I heard thru a few grapevines that there were a few Cajun spots I needed to try and that this was one of them. So I walk in... Ambiance: the place was empty, with one lady in there eating. The place was clean, two people at the counter ready to assist me. Behind the counter were an array of beverages to purchase, on the counter were options for seasonings to try for your seafood boil, and on the wall behind the counter were the options you have to choose from. There were also about the 4 or 5 tables in the place, a tv to watch and the staff cleans up your garbage behind you, once you've completed your meal. Now, I know I told you it was empty when i walked in and that there was one female in there already eating, but by the time i left, the place was PACKED. FYI... the lady eating, was actually someone I KNEW and she was able to provide me with ample advice on the food. The gentleman working also helped me with my options. Service: The owners were super kind and hospitable... at least the two i initially met. The guy gave me an understanding as to how to order my food. Food: You pick what you want: craw fish, shrimp boil, crab leg boil which comes per pound and each pound, i believe, comes with a potato and half a cob of corn. You have the option to pick a spiciness level of mild, medium, spicy or extra spicy and you get to pick from 4 flavors: garlic butter, Louisiana, house Mix (which is garlic butter and Louisiana combined together) and for some reason i cannot remember the 4th. The boil was good! Now it's time to tell the truth.. in 2 days, I was there 3x. #nojudging LOL I had their catfish, which is fresh, hot and crispy. Idk what their breading is, it seems like a mix between a cornmeal and a batter, and it's deep fried. The catfish basket comes with 2 fillets and some cajun fries. Super good and the reason why I came back 2 more times after the 1st. Will i be back? Heck yes! BTW, they also provide you with gloves and a bib for your seafood boil! Use them!!!! lol

Yelp
Seafood alright not Louisiana style no flavor in the crab shrimp just a greasy spicy mess if you ask me

Yelp
BEST CAJUN SEAFOOD!! If you want shrimp or crayfish, look no further, you've found a great local seafood restaurant that has low prices! They had friendly and helpful staff and the food was delicious. We ordered 1 lb of crawfish, 1 cluster of crab and 2 lbs of peel shrimp. With each pound comes one potato and corn. You can choose the spice and seasoning, we chose the house mix with medium spice and needless to say, our lips were on fire. It was worth it though! My husband and I ate all 4 lbs and were filled and fully satisfied. I personally don't think I'll get the crab legs again because there wasn't a lot of meat in it, but otherwise it was all very very good. It's very busy so we just bought it to go, if you do that, make sure that you have a lot of things underneath and lots of napkins because it can get real messy real quick! I definitely recommend this place! For sure coming back again!

Yelp
I guess i shouldn't have set my hopes too damn high after reading all the incredible reviews. Oh well, i feel unbelievably sorry for some of you guys living in Minnesota thinking that seafood here is excellent. I mean they aren't fresh but clearly from frozen. It's just so so sad. I got the 1 lb peeled shrimp with house mix and medium spicy level. The house mix sauce was so salty and the garlic in the sauce wasn't even fresh garlic. I mean i was away from Twin Cities food scene for a few years, and i followed all those great yelpers for this kind of food? Haven't you yelpers around here had any fresh and not frozen seafood with real spicy flavor sauce made from fresh herb before? I feel so sorry and incredibly sad ... really.

Yelp
One of my favorite places in the Twin Cities! Hands down!!! So I am from CA and there are tons of places where you can get a Cajun Boiled Seafood and when I moved here, I was craving this type of food so badly. Found this place on Yelp and I go about every month to two months as I am kinda of far from this place. BUT IT IS WORTH IT! When I go to Cajun Deli, my usual order is about 3 pounds of whole shrimp (so with the head, skin, and tail) medium spiced level and the house mix. The level of spice is just right for me without dying. I shared this with my partner or another friend. We always have leftovers. Price wise the prices are reasonable for being in the midwest. I enjoy the staff as they are friendly and they will take care of you. It might take a moment as they get busy with lots of orders. The place does not have many tables but you can usual get a table if you are planning to eat in. Overall if you are craving seafood and love flavorful food, You will become a fan as well!
google avatar

BinLee S.

Yelp
I've never dined in here, it's usually pretty busy whenever I go in. So I always order ahead, at least 30 minutes before I'd arrive. The staff here are nice and social. I always get the "house mix" seasoning and the mild spice level. I like getting a mix of: Peeled Shrimp Whole Shrimp Black Mussles Craw Fish Jonah Crab Claws Snow Crab Legs I do prefer the whole shrimp over the peeled shrimp. The whole shrimp hold so much more flavor then the peeled shrimp. They do sell the claw crackers, if you need them for home use. They also over bibs and gloves, on the left side of their counter. Cajun Deli is the only seafood boil place I go to. The quality is always excellent. The sauce is always rich and flavorful. I like to layer the sauce on top of white rice.
google avatar

Kong L.

Yelp
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! You can not go wrong with Cajun Deli! The prices are fair and packed with flavors. The customer service is on point. You walk in, place your order, pay for your order, sit down, and the food is brought out to you. I went with 1 pound of shrimp with head on, 1 pound of snow crab legs, and 1 pound of crawfish. The order came with corn and small potatoes. I also ordered some jasmine rice wich is a super plus. This was enough for 3 people to share. Everything was fresh and came smoothly out of the shell. It was impressive! I can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Sharon A.

Yelp
I don't know why we waited so long to try this place. We came in and the gentleman at the counter was pleasant and friendly. He was eager to help us decide what to order and how the plates were fixed. To tell the truth I was very surprised at the size of the portions. If you order the fries be sure to have help. The food was spot in. Seasoning was spicy but not too spicy and sauces were great. Prices were reasonable. Dining room is small with about 5 tables, and their take out business is brisk. They don't deliver, which in my humbke opinion is a smart decision as I habe found fried foods do not travel well. An altogether nice experience. Thanks!!

Yelp
Located in a shopping plaza in the corner. Plenty of parking. Ordered take out. Crawfish with fried catfish and rice. Had the crawfish in garlic butter sauce and that stuff taste amazing. The aroma! The catfish was really tasty with the seasoning they put on it. But the only thing was the rice, it was extremely dry and I wish it was a little more soft, probably dried out (bummer). The crawfish was good with the sauces. They packaged everything in bags and I was able to grab gloves at the door to eat my meal. I enjoyed this experience!
google avatar

Kris T.

Yelp
Best crawfish in Minnesota, especially the house mix sauce. Decent size crawfish and delicious crispy seasoned fries with sauce. I recommend trying this place, very flavorful.
google avatar

Doua Chi V.

Yelp
Pregnancy me is craving for this, and so i called to make my order and the guy who answered the phone was just RUDE! I can tell they were probably busy and they were, because when we got there it was packed but that didn't give him reasons to talk to me the way he did. I honestly don't know if he heard me said extra sauce or extra salt, cause the shrimps were so SALTY!! The crawfish was good. But i assumed he must have heard me said extra sauce because he did charge me $3.00 for extra sauce, and that's for the shrimps only, but on the menu it said $1.00.
google avatar

Yelp
First time here. Food was hot and came out to our table fast! Would come here everyday if I lived in town!! Everything is so juicy and yummy! It's an experience you'll HAVE TO try! Definitely coming here every time I'm in town. Not to mention, great customer service. Its a real experience that can be expensive but WELL worth your money. I mean, it is seafood so I was ready for it to be a little pricey. Not crazy pricey but just right. This place is the real deal. Gloves, eating WITH your own hands. ITS A TREAT, I'd say! Definitely has me looking for a similar spot in my city!

Erik P.

Yelp
One of my favorite things about traveling for work is coming across amazing unique food offerings. This place doesn't look like much, but great food doesn't have to be located in a fancy building. The crawfish and muscle boil was spot on, and has me all smiles. Great food, simple menu, and priced reasonably. This place deserves success. I need this closer to home! Bravo!!!
google avatar

Omar E.

Yelp
Very good for the price and quality of food is very well. A little less kick with the spice compared to other places and I always order Spicey. Overall a good place for boiled seafood!
google avatar

Nicole R.

Yelp
Will definitely be back! So glad we ordered ahead of time, as there was a long line of people behind us when we were picking up our order. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious! We had shrimp, snow crab, and lobster.

Foody R.

Yelp
If you love seafood boil, this is the place. The house mix is a must try. If you have high spice tolerance, go for max spicy because anything under barely has any kick. The place is uber tiny with probably 4-5 tables max, so plan to go early before the crowd hits. Or order to go and pick up.
google avatar

Andrea S.

Yelp
This was amazing, the seafood is good quality! The whole shrimp was amazing, I've never tried them before but they are so tender! We had house and Louisiana mix. The Jonah crab claws look cool but not much meat.
google avatar

Vee V.

Yelp
I love seafood, I'll try anything in the ocean. Even Nemo, I'd dip his ass in some house mix from Cajun Deli and eat his face off. I've had this place bookmarked for a while, but I live in Maplewood, so it's quite the hike. I was leaving a work meeting and realized this place was in the same strip mall. I made a few excited noises then forced my co-worker to have a late lunch with me. Walking in we see four tables, a couple people picking up orders, and a super smiley lady behind the counter. We grabbed some menus and sat down. The woman behind the counter came over and gave us some waters and asked if we had questions. We inquired on the market prices then reviewed our options. We knew we were doing a boil even if it's during work hours and we were risking a food coma, and sauce all over our clothes. Good thing I was given an apron the size of a whale. Seriously, it was like a rain poncho, and I'm glad it was once I started eating. We ordered a pound of shrimp, mussels, and crab claws. This sounded easier than the crawfish to eat over lunch. I have no idea how we came to this conclusion. Only the mussels were easy. We also ordered some fries to break it up. Fries came first, it was battered, I really enjoyed these fries. Like they're in my top 3 favorite French fries list now. Super crispy and crunchy, not at all greasy, and it came with a spicy mayo dip. We couldn't stop eating the fries, but then our seafood pan came, then there was no talking or French fry eating until the pan was gone. My face and fingers, well my hands up to my elbows, were covered in sauce. It even sprayed in my eyes a couple times. I'll need goggles on my next visit. I recommend the house sauce, Louisiana and garlic butter mix, spicy. Oh my god, it was good. Our seafood was cooked perfectly, no issues there. It was so damn delicious I felt guilty my boyfriend wasn't enjoying this with me, so I ordered a pound of shrimp and snow crab to go for dinner later! At home I added andouille sausage, and got some French bread for dipping. It was just as great later that night as it was a few hours earlier. I got even dirtier at home. I sucked the juices out of the shrimp heads with no shame. Takeout is the way to go to enjoy this place. My only regret is that I still didn't do the crawfish on my second order. Next time. The prices are reasonable, cheap in my opinion for seafood. Per pound it was about $5.99 for mussels, $11.99 on the crab claws, and $9.99 for the shrimp. These shrimps cost like $16.99 a pound at the super market, and they don't come seasoned and cooked! I'm glad I don't Iive close by, I'd be dead from a heart attack eating this everyday.

Yelp
Think of a sauce that is surely going to clog your arteries if you had it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, 2nd dinner and snacks every day. So delicious! My husband has been craving a good crawfish and shrimp boil and to celebrate the new year we decided to give Cajun Deli a try. We don't live too far away and it was perfect for us to get to. Cajun Deli is located in a strip mall in Brooklyn Park in the same area as Planet Fitness (ironic). Small little store with a few tables, mostly takeout orders from what I can tell. We ordered 8lbs of crawfish and 2lb shrimp for our family of 5 adults. This was plenty of food for us. We decided to try the garlic butter with medium spice. Recommend calling ahead and putting in your order. If you plan to order a tray like we did either call or check their facebook page to see what they have for the day for seafood per pound. We had to wait a few more minutes when we got there and paid so my husband decided to get a sugar cane juice to try. We have had this a lot in Texas and California and it is one of our favorites. Looked legit since we saw the machine and tasted good too. Sweet, light and refreshing. Reminds me of Orange Julius in flavor. Now for the food..we dug in when we got home and the crawfish were large and in charge and so were the shrimp. Good flavor and we liked to take the meat and dip it into the flavorful sauce. Had a really nice kick after you tasted it, kind of hits you at the end with the spice. We like spicy and we thought medium was good heat. The tray also throws in some red potatoes and corn on the cob for some starch. Overall, good deal and actually about the same price if you were to order fresh seafood to be shipped for a boil from Louisiana (which we have done) but you don't have to do the cooking. Will be back again!

Yelp
Awesome portions and price! Not an extensive menu but it has the main seafood critters - everything is ala carte! Staff was super friendly and the food came out pretty fast! It's a no frills joint with limited seating - wish there was more space or seating but we made do just fine. One of my favorites was the popcorn shrimp and not to mention you get corn and potatoes included in the boil! My only suggestion is the house mix sauce needed a little more flavor. Other than that I'd recommend and return!
google avatar

Jen V.

Yelp
Small shop hidden in a corner of a shopping plaza. My friends and I have walked past many times and decided to try it one day. We were not disappointed. Compared to other cajun restaurants in the area this one is by far the best. Share the Cajun mix or try the catfish sandwich!

Yelp
My family love love love!!! This place never fails us! We get the house special all the time. Thank you!
google avatar

Teynae R.

Yelp
This spot looks a little shady on the outside, but don't let that stop you. With only 4 tables, don't expect a comfortable dining experience, it's small yet clean. The shrimp boil is fantastic, well seasoned and plentiful. The price point is great! Very affordable!
google avatar

Paul B.

Yelp
The deli delivered! I'd been wanting to go, but hadn't gotten around to it until today. My order was simple, one pound of shrimp peeled, split into 2 half pound flavors. From recommendations I got the house, and then I decided on the Louisiana for the other, I wasn't disappointed. Dining in wasn't a problem for just myself and the food was ready in 10 minutes. Napkins, utensils, and bibs are ready if needed. The guy taking my order knew the menu and also brought me my food. The house mix was spicier than Louisiana's mix but they were both pretty dam good. Check it out if you're in the area

Yelp
I love the food here (especially their house mix sauce) and pricing is reasonable. More seatings now than from what I remember. I usually order takeouts. Service has always been decently okay, but I don't think I will go back to this place because since they hired the new cashier, she just gives the worst service. I've been here on multiple occasions and every time I'm here the cashier is either yelling at me and also honeying me with a loud voice, or talking to me and yelling at another customer. She speaks to you as if you're dumb, basically. Location and food is awesome but I will not give money to a business that will not take care of their customers. My experience you don't have to read this*** I called for takeout one night at 940 PM and I live 10 minutes away. Cashier girl (I knew her voice) picks up and said I can order since kitchen closes at 945 but I need to get there in 5 minutes, which didn't make sense to me because the place closes at 10. By the way, I placed an order 2 weeks ago around this time and a gentleman took my order and only reminded me that the place closes at 10 PM. I found it unnecessary to argue with her on the phone so I just hung up on her, placed my order at a different Cajun place, and drove the extra miles to pick up my takeout.

Yelp
I've realized I'm the "I want to order my food by the pound" kind of girl, for better or for worse. But it's surely for better at Cajun Deli, because their boils are absolutely addicting. I don't think you can go wrong here with any of their seafood boils. They know how to pack in the flavor and the spice too. They even provide you with plastic gloves and bibs to get the job done! I encourage medium or spicy at least, to get the full cajun experience. It will be spicy, though, so bring your tissues and consider a mild side dish like rice. Other notes: it's a small joint so don't count on snagging a table with some friends during dinner. You might want to just bring home bags o' boil instead. Tii Cup is next door if you want some milk tea to cool ya down!

Yelp
Yummmm! Why was this gem hidden from me for so long!! I'm from the coastal south, & what I've missed the most is a good seafood boil! The portions were generous and heavily flavored. We ate it so fast I didn't even take pictures! Also FYI, The place is tiny, so we did to go and it kept well :)

Yelp
One word: Delicious!!!! My coworker introduced this tiny little hole in the wall to me and I am so impressed!!! Best Cajun seafood I've had since I moved to the Twin Cities. Their house mix sauce is so HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I love spicy so I always order at the heat level of Spicy which is the 2nd highest heat level you can get then, Extra Spicy. It is run by a Vietnamese family who are super nice and very prompt with ordering. I usually dine in if there's seating availability, but with such tight space in a little restaurant like this, sometimes It's not possible especially for big parties of 4 or more. There are literally only 3 booths and 3 tables in the restaurant. But overall, i recommend ordering a side of rice if you get the house mix sauce for your seafood!!! Pairs so well with fresh and hot made jasmine rice!

Yelp
Best seafood. Best bang for buck. Sit in or take out the consistency is on point. Few options make it easy to decide. The shrimp basket is a great appetizer. The $12/pound of crab legs come with sauce of your choosing (choose 'house mix' always, but all the sauces are great) pick gravy and pick how spicy you want it (be bold). It comes with a piece of corn and a full potato!! The pound of 'peel shrimp' is also an absolute delight. Pick your sauce and level of spice. This place is finger licking good and if you forget to wear gloves, rest assured you will be sniffing your fingers all the way home - it's that good!!

Yelp
I was home over the weekend and my nephew was so excited to take me to this place because he knows how much I love seafood and he knew I would love it. We ordered 2 lbs crablegs, 1lb mussels, 1lb shrimp, corn and potatoes w/ the house mix and spicy. I also ordered a side of cajun butter with lemons. (I didn't get) It didn't take too long to come out about 15 mins I want to say. I was a little disappointed that they forgot the butter and lemon but we were so hungry we didn't realize it until we had already had a few shrimp out of the huge order. My nephew went back to get a refund and they kinda was a little fussy about giving him his money back for the butter that we never got but they gave it to him. However, the food was great the shrimp was cooked a little too much but it was stilll delicious and seasoned very well, a little too much garlic but I loved it. The reason why it I couldn't at least give them 4 stars was because it was HOTT as heck in there and it didn't seem like they were trying to do anything to fix it. I mean they said they were working on the a/c but i felt someone should have lease got a damn fan in there. The staff was very friendly (besides that little incident with the refund) but overall I'll visit again.
