Cajun Food Tours

What a great experience, especially if you're not familiar with southern Louisiana. Not only do you get to sample the areas delectable cuisine, but you also learn some history of Lafayette! Our guide, Jay, was very hospitable, friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I have a gluten intolerance, so they made some changes for me so that I could enjoy the trip just as much as everyone else. The bus is cozy and spacious. We were supplied with bottles of water and a koozie for our drinks. They also provide a cooler should you want to purchase anything from the stops. We got to sample the tastiest boudain at Johnsons Boucaniere, famous po'boy from Olde Tyme Grocery, the best gumbo at Bon Temps Grill, the juiciest gator bites and Crawfish nachos from The Cajun Table, followed by the sweetest king cake, pistachio cake for me, at Poupart Bakery. Absolutely a grand adventure! We'll definitely be returning to all of the businesses to taste more from the menu's. We also went on the Around the World Acadiana! We were treated with a taste of Venezuelan, Cuban, Indian, and Italian. If it had not been for this tour, it's unlikely we would have tried any of these! All 4 places were delicious! We will definitely be returning to try more from their menus. Jay, again, was a spectacular host! His knowledge of all things food is out of this world. He is always friendly and courteous! A great aspect of the tour. We love this company and feel blessed to have been able to partake in 2 of their activities.

We brought out-of-state (and one from Brazil) friends on the "food" tour. It was GREAT!! They absolutely loved it. A huge Thank You to Ms. Marie for letting us take the tour without the maximum amount of people! Even though we were only 4, Jay's knowledge and articulate explanation of our beautiful culture was spot-on! We truly appreciated his expertise in "Cajun" culture and history. We will definitely tell more people how wonderful this tour is!! Thank you so much!

I chose the Around the World Acadiana Taste Tour for my bachelorette party. I’m 44 and don’t really do the bar scene anymore so this was perfect! Phenomenal food at every stop! We were allowed to bring covered drinks on the bus and were provided plenty of bottled waters. The driver, Jay, was top notch and super knowledgeable about each of our stops, the culture and the food being served. He was as professional as he could possibly be while entertaining our shenanigans throughout the night 😂 😇 I HIGHLY recommend this food tour!! It seems like such a “touristy” thing to do for locals but my friends and I are already planning to schedule a Cajun food tour just because it was so fun. 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had the pleasure of Jay as our tour driver and historian buff extraordinaire on our Cajun food tour. It really was excellent with fantastic food. We could hardly move to get off the bus at the end and we certainly learnt an enormous amount of history tick bits food info and just downright fun. Would highly recommend to anyone who is in this neck of the woods

Wonderful three hours eating at places that we would have never known about. Places so authentic that you felt like you have stepped back in time, plus, the food was excellent and the historical stories were so interesting. The bus was decorated in a cute Cajun decor with water, ice chest for purchases, tourism brochures on things to do, and t-shirts and hats for sale. Whitney and Marie were very informative, happy and such a delight to spend three hours with. They had a hard time getting us loaded onto the bus after the last stop since we had all become friends! Highly recommend taking this tour. We will take the evening one should we ever return to Lafayette.

We had such a great time on this tour! Whitney did an amazing job taking us all around Lafayette parish to try different foods.. and I learned so much about the Cajun culture! This was such a fun outing.. I would definitely go back and do it again!

We had THE BEST TIME on our Cajun Food Tour! So Much Fun! Ms. Marie was such an amazing, fun, and knowledgeable tour guide! We visited 5 different restaurants and tried Cajun dishes from each! The bus was decorated with a cute Cajun theme, with Cajun Christmas music to entertain us on the bus ride. The ladies at Advanced Chiropractic will be back!!!
