Stuffed Cajun Meat Market Review - Cedar Park - Austin - The Infatuation

"Equal parts meat market and restaurant, Stuffed Cajun Meat Market is a one stop shop for everything Louisiana. Need to pick up some boudin sausage or alligator filets? Head to the refrigerated shelves in the back. Stuffed makes one of our in Austin, and when crawfish season comes around, this is one of the best places to head, whether you’re shopping for a backyard boil, or just want to try a few pounds cooked by the pros. Grab some crawfish or a po’boy, then stock up on chicken breasts and pork tenderloins “stuffed” with everything from boudin sausage and broccoli cheese, to jambalaya and dirty rice.  " - Nicolai McCrary

This Cajun market has a wide variety of Cajun meat specialities. The woman working there I spoke with was very nice. I purchased a boneless seafood stuffed chicken and some Cajun sausage. The Cajun sausage is pretty average, not bad but nothing to write home about. The stuffed chicken was flavorless and dry and the seafood and rice stuffing is unappetizing. I do not know how Gourmet Butch Block in Gretna does it. Theirs are always moist and delicious. I guess that is why they are famous and the original. If their stuffed chickens are a 10, Cajun Meat Market's are a 3. The woman who helped me told me people compliment their stuffed chickens and say they are comparable to GBB. Those people who say that have obviously never been to the real GBB.

First time coming here, I got my food out of the refrigerator, I got a pack of boudin and a pack of stuffed bell peppers.. it was sour, couldn’t eat it, my daughter ate some of it and she got sick.

I had purchased some chicken salad sandwiches for my wife and her friends because they love them. I purchased some cracklings for myself and they half the bag away as they seemed to be uncooked and very soft. I definitely do not recommend this place for the cracklings but the chicken salad was good.

Was an awesome place to go. Had some breakfast burritos . They were good. Everything looks awesome in that place . They have daily specials.

Worst cracklins ever. I tried them once a few months ago and they were not great but today I gave them another try. They were awful.

Yelp
I ordered the Crawfish Boudin King Cake. I picked it up frozen so I could prepare it at home. For a Louisiana based restaurant, I was underwhelmed with the flavor the first day. It tasted better the second day when I ate it alone without any other foods on my plate. The bread was super soft and the queso crawfish mixture was quite tasty. The inside boudin mix was lackluster. Happy I tried it though and can now cross it off my list.

Yelp
I purchased the worse cracklings I've ever had. They were old Tasted awful. I wanted soup bones for my dogs and they would not cut them. I got bones the size of my dogs. (Yorkies) I asked for them to be cut and the owner said they didn't need to be cut. (Rude).

Yelp
After reading other review we thought we would try the cracklin, boudin and sausage. We always get our from Lafayette and Scott, but are looking for some closer to home. We enjoyed the boudin and sausage as it was not loaded with black pepper nor too much rice which we will definitely get again. However, the crackling was a bit bland with very little to no seasoning. I will go by myself to see if maybe my son accidentally bought unseasoned.

Yelp
Best hog head cheese I ever tasted and A+++ Boudin I will be a regular oh and the fresh cracklings omg the best. I usually go to Lafayette for real cajun food but I will be using that gas money for Cajun meat market products!

Yelp
I stopped in visiting from another city and I picked up a few things to take back with me. I purchased the smoked boudin that was at the register and some frozen regular boudin. Both were bland but the hog's head cheese, chicken salad and cracklin were really good.

Yelp
Just bought bacon-wrapped, sausage-stuffed, de-boned quail. CANNOT WAIT TO COOK THESE!!!!

Yelp
Hands down, the BEST chicken salad in Houma! Creamy and full of flavor, if I had to find one thing wrong with it, that would that sometimes they are heavy-handed with the green onion and it can be overpowering.
