Disappointing Experience at Cajun Meat Market
I recently visited Cajun Meat Market for the first time after an appointment in the area for work. Normally, I do my research before trying a new place, but I didn’t this time and won’t be making that mistake again. I picked up some boudin and chicken crackling, and unfortunately, it was a letdown.
Upon opening the package, I immediately noticed an unfamiliar smell that didn’t seem right. After tasting the boudin, I was hit with a sour taste that raised concerns about whether the food had gone bad. Needless to say, it was far from the quality I’m used to.
The chicken crackling was also disappointing—extremely salty and not the crisp, crunchy texture I expect from good crackling. It was soggy and over-seasoned, which made it hard to enjoy.
For comparison, I’m a loyal customer of The Best Stop in Scott, LA, and their products are always top-notch. Based on this experience, I’ll be sticking with what I know and love. Regretfully, I can’t recommend Cajun Meat Market based on my visit.
