Where to Get Boiled Crawfish In and Around New Orleans Right Now

"The Nguyen family boils such flavorful crawfish that there are four locations of the family’s shop, Cajun Seafood. In addition to grabbing bags of crawfish, try the marinated crab claws, stir-fry, yak-a-mein (shrimp, chicken, beef, or combo), and side items like pig feet and turkey necks." - Eater Staff, Clair Lorell

Google
I love the food!! The crawfish meat pie and the turkey necks are favorites!! We ordered the seafood basket and could not finish it (because we ordered so much other stuff). I also had a hot sausage sandwich on a bun. Also delicious. Very generous portions. The parking is a little congested.

Google
We are visiting from Oregon and we overheard someone at another restaurant talking about this place and that it was the best Cajun food in town. The prices were awesome for the amount of food you get and the staff were very welcoming. We will definitely go back before leaving New Orleans. The food was delicious!

Google
Boiled Crawfish and corn were spicy and super delicious. The food came quickly and everyone was super nice. Gumbo was wonderful as well.

Google
If I could post more than five stars for the food, I would. Hands down, this is THE best spot in NOLA for fresh seafood. You can almost taste the Mississippi. The setting isn't your typical restaurant. It's a loud and disjointed cafeteria vibe but it fits the charm of the place. Do yourself a favor and get two pounds of crawfish, the Seafood platter, two Coronas and schedule a coronary. You'll thank me for it.

Alex Nguyen

Google
Crawfish is so delicious. Turkey neck is also good. Here order and serve yourself.

Google
So much food for under $25! We got fried rice and combination lo mein with ; crawfish and a large crab. Wait was well worth it.

Jami Mullan

Google
This was the place every local said to go to and I wasn't disappointed. The food tasted fresh and had the best Cajun seasoning. Plus, it was half the price of what it would cost at home.

Google
I ordered online. First mistake. They said they were out of crawfish boudin which was the only reason I ordered here. I ordered the fried shrimp po'boy, the bread was tough. Then ordered a plate with fried shrimp being the main, then shrimp lo mein, and shrimp and rice. They gave me no fried shrimp and they gave me cooked shrimp with the lo mein and one still had the shell. The shrimp and rice was the only thing that seemed right. Hopefully, it was just me having a bad experience. Really hate it bc this was the only order we were able to get while in Louisiana. Wish yall could mail some frozen crawfish Boudin to NC.

Yelp
I really wanted some crawfish because its crawfish season, I usually don't like crawfish because I think its too muddy tasting. But I figured since it was crawfish season, maybe the crawfish would taste better. This place is walkable from the FQ, but its probably better to take an Uber, you do end up passing some sketchy looking places that could be avoided by a car. This restaurant is right under a highway. When you walk in it looks like a cafeteria, you can order the hot boiled seafood on the left hand side, or the hot fried food on the other side. This is definitely a local kind of place ( which I love !) We got a lb of crawfish, a lb of shrimp, 2 lbs of dungeness crab legs, 1 ham hock, and noodles. I should have gotten the garlic butter / other dipping sauces but I didn't find out about those till later. The prices are significantly lower than FQ, $7 for fresh crawfish, $9 for shrimp , and $19 for dungeness crab legs. The crab here is soaking in the sauce for a long time so the shell is pretty easy to bit through with your teeth. The shrimp are huge !!! They give you the very large shrimp. The crawfish was so good!!! Kind of salty but I loved how spicy it was. The ham hocks were so soft and gelatinous that they fell apart when I was eating it. Next time I will come hungrier and order white rice on the side because this was too salty to eat without rice. At least we had ordered some noodles to wash it down. Bring cash to tip the guy who cleans the tables and provides gloves !

Yelp
I always stip here when I visit back home. You can grab dungeon, snow, or blue crabs, shrimp, turkey necks, eggs, etc in boil seasoning ready ti take or sit and eat. There's Chinese food, po'boys, and other items on this menu. I brought some spicy garlic butter home with me. yay!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Great place to get your crawfish mix on!!! I got half a pound of crawfish and half a pound of shrimp with some corn on the side. The food is prepared right there on the spot and you just go through the line. There was a lot of people in line at around 5pm so this is definitely a locals favorite. The line moves fast though so don't worry. It's a big market type place. Not fancy ambiance at all. All about the food. The food is damn good. It's covered in some delicious spices and it's cooked just right. It's really cheap too, I think it's like $6 / pounds for crawfish. Not bad.

Yelp
Food: *Crawfish (we got 4 lbs) - love the flavor *DD Smoked Sausage *Potatoes *Corn Great place to devour pounds and pounds of crawfish to satisfy cravings Casual spot, pay then first come first serve seating.

Yelp
The dining experience leaves a lot the imagination. DO NOT walk to this place. Uber, drive or public transportation. There are tables to sit and eat but this isn't a "wait on you" restaurant. But depending on where you are staying I might take it to go. The food is good. Good portions. Fries are solid, nothing to write home about. The soft shell fried crab-Good! Fried oysters-Good! Popcorn shrimp platter-GOOD! The portions of all are really good. The popcorn shrimp IS NOT popcorn shrimp. It's actual fried shrimp(medium).

Yelp
In Nola for the weekend & this place was highly recommended. The line was a little long, but moved quickly. There was someone @ the door directing the crowd. All the seafood is behind the counter, you order & they prepare it. My only issue was they charged & gave me something I didn't order. When I noticed the problem they were quick to resolve the issue. The food was good & the price about average for seafood.

Yelp
Cajun Seafood is a no frills, straight to the food type of place. They have counter service where you can order boiled meats, veggies, crawfish, crabs, along with some Asian inspired dishes. They also have a separate line for po' boys and other fried items. The drink selection is large. I always get crawfish(when in season) and it's sold by the pound. Can't go wrong with the seasoned potatoes and corn on the cob. I've also had the mushrooms, sausage, turkey neck, fried shrimp, and boiled egg. Everything is finger licking good and if you ask for gloves they are happy to accommodate. John that works the dining room always has a smile and holds a pleasant conversation with me. The area is a bit rough but just be aware of your surroundings and you'll be fine. Don't forget to tip John! This is a must stop every time I visit. Last time I ate there 2 times and took food all the way back to Indiana. Best tip is try the garlic butter!

Yelp
The best place you will find everything you are looking for. Affordable seafood that is the best in town. This is my go to spot for good food and seafood. Service is always fast and you won't be in line long. Across the street you'll see street vendors and music playing. Everything you need all in one place.
google avatar

Andrea B.

Yelp
I had the shrimp fried rice and it was delicious!!! I also had a meat pie and an egg roll. They were good but just wasn't warm enough since they were already cooked. The pralines are delicious too!

Yelp
Before departing New Orleans today, I searched online for a good crawfish place with noodle soup. Found a new Asian fusion spot in town but their prices were straight up offensive--like running your dog over offensive ($17 won ton soup WTF?!), so I decided to go back to Cajun Seafood for the second time this weekend. Tried yakimein soup for the first time. Their combo option with shrimp, chicken, and beef hit the spot for this lady's hangover. Crawfish was ringing up at $16.99lb so I only got a half pound along with a half pound of head on shrimp. Hubby got the fried oyster poboy and said it was one of the best he's ever had. Stop on by if you're hankering for some good food. Your wallet, and belly, will thank you!

Yelp
After a few nights of deep fried seafood, we were ready for a fresh crab boil - how could we resist doing this while in New Orleans?! We found this Cajun Seafood place with decent ratings just a tad bit outside the French Quarter. We noticed most of the clientele was local which was the first good sign. The lines are organized by "boil bags" & regular entrees. I was surprised that the seafood was ready to go (no air filled boil bags to pop open) - but made for quick order to table turn-around time. There was a ton of delicious spiciness - I wasn't used to the complete a la carte aspect & found myself having difficulty narrowing down what I wanted. Of course I ordered far too much. For those that like a bit of soul food with their crab, they had neck bones as a protein option. The place did have a "crabby smell" when you first walk in - but it all neutralizes quickly. I loved the food & we were lucky to have gotten there before the line was wrapped around the building. Don't be worried about the "under highway parking" - it may look a bit sketch - but the place was legitimately recommend-worthy!

Yelp
As for outside, It isn't a huge parking lot outside but the street parking helps. We went on an early Sunday afternoon and it wasn't crowded. There are a lot of things on the menu that will satisfy everyone's appetite. Service was quick if you know what you want. The entrance and food ordering process looked like a cafeteria but it is separated by 'boiled' and 'kitchen'. So anything ordered that needs to be fried comes from the kitchen. Food 'on the line' was lukewarm and tolerable. Our orders included pasta, fried rice, shrimp lo mein and crawfish pie. All were very tasty. The desserts weren't memorable and I didn't order any. Don't get turned off by the look of the food on the line since the pasta looked dry. It wasn't bad at all. They have an extensive drink menu as well: beers, sodas, waters, juices, etc. it is a very casual dining room with tables and chairs, no booths. Large groups could eat inside with tables pulled together. Restaurant was clean in the shared areas. The bathroom was clean but the floor was very slippery. I believe the condensation had settled. It doesn't have multiple stalls or more than one toilet. Meant for one person to use the bathroom. The area is surrounded by homes and isn't a true business district from what I could see.

Yelp
Still good for the crawfish, though they were pre-frozen versions this time at $7/lbs. The turkey necks were good, better when chilled actually. And the sausage was so-so. Corn still very spicy. Potatoes were good, and the garlic butter - get it, you won't be disappointed! ($1.99 for 3 oz. cup). Curt service at the food counter b/c they were busy. And you can buy a bag of their spices (dry) - look for the random zip lock near the bottom of the shelf. The most nice staffer was the guy handing out plates/gloves/napkins at the tables. Tipped him for being so helpful.

Yelp
Lot's of decisions and they are all pretty good! You walk in place your order boil bags from shrimp to pig feet boil. (And everything else) And the other line they have is for fried platters. Both lines stay fairly busy. Which means...., The food must be pretty good or people wouldn't wait in line for that long to get an order. And it is that good. I got the softshell crab platter with fried rice, which was rather delicious. It was more than I could eat. and my husband had the shrimp po' boy sandwich He thought was pretty good. If you looking for cheaper and taste as good as the French Quarter then you should check it out. The ambience is so so it's really nothing to brag about because you just go pick up your food. Sit and eat it if you like and if you don't you keep it moving.

Yelp
On the way home from Georgia, we stopped in NOLA even though husband said he wasn't going to. We've never spent any real time here. Just eat and go. It's a place I want to explore more, but also a place I want to run the hell away from. It's a weird feeling!! lol. After an hour of deciding what we're doing, we ended up here! Seafood market and restaurant. Asian owned cajun spot. Husband got the gumbo. I don't remember what the kids got. The gumbo was amazing and full of flavor. The best gumbo I've ever had probably. I ain't had time to go find the yakamein lady, so I got yakamein here. I made it once after watching a food show with the yakamein lady on it. I made it once, but this was way better!! I loved it. Spicy and flavorful!! So simple, yet so good. Definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
This place is the real deal when you come to New Orleans for seafood. Strong Cajun flavours. Tons of locals and tourists. More of a fast food joint, but authentic. I got a pound of fresh boiled crawfish in a bag. Hot and spicy is right. The spicy definitely hits you hard and lasts. Like all crawfish, it's a lot of work for very little meat. It's very messy. The gumbo has a good mix of crabs, sausage, chicken. A bit salty and spicy, but very flavourful. Comes with a side of white rice. I would definitely recommend trying this.

Yelp
OK, first night in New Orleans, staying in Marignay, and my highly scientific map point selection process led us here for dinner. It's maybe off of the beaten path if you're staying in the Quartier, but... Yum. Counter service, food served in to-go containers. The guys at the counter are super enthusiastic and helpful. They've got wine and beer, and a couple of bottled cocktails. The food is highly focused on boiled and fried seafood, but there were also turkey necks and sausage on the menu. I had fried shrimp, with green salad and potato salad. Everything was wonderful and the portions were huge. The batter on the shrimp was light and crispy, salad was good, potato salad was not too wet. We got in around 6:30, and it was quite. By the time we had our food, there was a steady line of dine in and to go customers who look like they are regulars. Super laid back vibe, and the food was just fantastic.
google avatar

Elocin P.

Yelp
This place is fantastic! No frills seafood boil. The service is cafeteria style. It's a bit hectic in there but worth it. The only thing I didn't care for was the mushrooms. They were kinda meh but loved the corn and potatoes. We got crab legs and shrimp too.
google avatar

Brandon H.

Yelp
They have the best crawfish in the city!! No lie! They have liquor and other drinks for purchase!
google avatar

Yelp
This was a fantastic experience! The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. You get the food to go - so the service is very quick! The employees were friendly.

Yelp
I'm pretty much a crawfish addict at this point and Cajun Seafood has THE best! So good that I came back a second time in 4 days right before we got back on the road to Texas. Coming to this place will be one of the best decisions you make in terms of food. The seasoning was extremely on point and spicy! The staff was friendly, helpful and efficient at getting through the crowds of people who come here. The restaurant has a good amount of seating, great lighting and cool artwork on the walls. Cajun Seafood will forever be both my first and last stop on my NOLA vacations!
google avatar

Tyrone E.

Yelp
"Absolutely loved the Cajun seafood experience! The crawfish were a true delight - perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Each bite transported me to the bayous of Louisiana. The ambiance was vibrant and lively, adding to the authenticity of the experience. The only downside was the presence of homeless individuals begging for money outside the restaurant, which slightly detracted from the overall atmosphere. Nonetheless, the food and service were exceptional, and I'll definitely be returning for more delicious seafood delights!"

Yelp
One morning me and my friend from Chicago went to this eatery that he had been telling me about. I was "game" meaning I was down to go. I had told him I see it all the time coming from the French Quarter on my way to work. I had always wanted to stop by so, this was the perfect opportunity. I mean soon as you open the door to the restaurant the scent of good food hits you. You know I am a

Yelp
This is my favorite 'fast food' counter service style place. It's actually real food so I don't feel bad when I eat here. My favorite thing to get is the head on shrimp that's already cooked and seasoned. It is so addicting, I wonder if they put additives like MSG in it cos I really do be craving Cajun Seafood shrimp. The shrimp fried rice is great, the broccoli and shrimp is fire, the crawfish pies are standard, it's all good! Super casual atmosphere. Probably the only place I ever seen someone working cleaning up and has a tip jar for the 'floor tech' which is different. Anyone with a taste for fine dining establishments might hate on this place but it's something to experience at least once! Sometimes you just need some good ol Louisianna shrimp!!!
google avatar

Felecia V.

Yelp
Quintessential New Orleans seafood fare--right here. I've eaten from Cajuns many, many times but never got around to reviewing them (if I recall correctly). I never get excellent seafood from them, but it is always satisfying. Exhibit 1: the crawfish are seasoned, baby! Never had a bland crawfish from Cajuns (as we call it). And they were pretty big. Exhibit 2: decent snow crabs. A steal for the price. Exhibit 3: the corn and potatoes were subpar. The corn were over cooked and the potatoes were bland. Exhibit 4: I despise their spicy garlic butter sauce. Now, this was my first time trying it, and it was so thick with a hint of sweetness. Wrong on so many levels lol. Customer service is what it is. Nothing bad, nothing good. Oh, and I loooooove their boiled mushrooms. So spicy and juicy!!!
google avatar

Miriam N G.

Yelp
Fast service and great food. We purchased 2lbs of crawfish, 2lb of dungeoness, 1 sausage, 2 pig feet, 2 eggs, 2 large Corona's and a water and spent less than $120. The spicy level on the boiled seafood was just what I needed. Ordered a shrimp Yakamejn and gumbo to-go. Expecting nothing but the best. Will return!
google avatar

Will X.

Yelp
Cajun Seafood is the spot to go to for boiled seafood. In an unassuming humble building under the freeway, Cajun seafood serves bags of seafood that is well cooked and flavorful. Shrimp and crawfish were tasty and easy to eat - would note that you need to devein the seafood yourself else risk eating something no bueno. The turkey neck was also a surprising hit - salted heavy but flavorful and tasty. Super casual vibe. Quick service . Parking lot outside

Panette P.

Yelp
Excellent potato salad- like mom used to make. Came here just for that. Was told 2pc chicken thigh platter is no longer on the menu. So physically remove it from the menu! A couple weeks ago i tried to order it and I was told you were out. Today i was told you no longer serve it.

Yelp
One of the things I had wanted to do in NOLA was go to Miss Linda's Yakamein pop-up, however, the day she had the pop-up we were at a plantation tour and by the time we returned, it would've been too late. So I found this place that did yakamein and we ubered there. I got the combo yakamein which came with shrimp, beef, and chicken. I think my husband got the beef yakamein. It comes in a large styrofoam cup and it's piping hot. When it's cool enough to eat, the first thing noted is that it's very salty. But it is called "old sober" because you're supposed to eat when you're extremely drunk and hungover AF. I'm guessing the salt is to replace electrolytes. But when you are not drunk, it is very, very salty. You need at least 2 bottles of water each to get through it. Don't get me wrong, it's extremely delicious. The noodles are so good and the meat is even better. It comes with an egg which is a little hard to get with a plastic fork but once you start eating it, it's difficult to stop. Even when we were full, we just kept eating it because it's that addicting. It's also not that expensive and because it's such a large portion, I'd say it's pretty bang for your buck. I'm so glad I found this place -- it also has other seafood items and po'boys so if you're looking for a truly authentic NOLA cuisine experience, come here.

Yelp
In A Nutshell: -Cajun Seafood is a very popular local spot to grab some wonderful crawfish, turkey neck + more! -For $5.99 /lb you can get some crawfish, which is a pretty good deal. -The flavor was really good, a nice spicy taste that makes you wanna suck out the juices from each crawfish. -Expect a decent sized line as you enter, plus many of the tables will be occupied. -In addition to the food, you can also order drinks, alcohol & cigerettes. Overall, this is a nice spot to grab some local flavor NOLA food.

Adria L.

Yelp
My hands smell like fish but I'm happy. Three of us got: one Turkey neck, three pounds of crawfish, one pound of shrimp, one pound of crab and a pound po boy.
google avatar

Yelp
Chile if the people don't stop hyping this place up . It's been a minute, my people wanting seafood . They said Tik Tok sent them and not sure why. Once again, I ordered corn sausage and potatoes, corn was old and mushy, sausage was tough, it was supposed to be Andouille, but this was the distant cousin. My potatoes were old with a lot of black spots . My people said they shrimp were spicy but boiled too long, making them like chewing rubber . One ordered a sausage sandwich with fries, and she played in her food . We tossed about 2 pounds of shrimp in the trash . To be honest, you have to have a cast iron stomach to digest this stuff , which I don't, so I had a stomach ache on Bourbon Street and rushed back to the hotel before a disaster. The others just moaned in discomfort . It's a store that is supposed to sell fresh seafood, tables are available for dining in , it's not dirty or clean its a store . No pictures. I was over it on arrival .

Yelp
Honestly a great place, fast service, good tastes very fresh, nice flavors. Not very pricey think crawfish is like $7/ibs? Great casual place to eat we like it very much highly recommended

Yelp
First impression.. the line was ridiculous so I was excited to eat. I got a tequila sparkling water, shrimp po boy and some gumbo. The po boy was very disappointing . I was excited for it but it was so dry and the shrimp had too much excess grease on them. All I tasted from the shrimp po boy was fish.. The gumbo saved the day. Wasn't the best gumbo solely because of the dry chicken but the flavor was on point. The sausage was so flavorful. They also have a full bar. The security guard did a very good job with loiters because there were quite a few. The line was long for the seafood boil so next I'd like to try that.
google avatar

Vanessa G.

Yelp
This spot is busy. Very polite security guard present who keeps things in order. They have two separate lines, one for the seafood boil orders and one for kitchen orders. It's a fast food seafood boil Resturant that also sales traditional Chinese American cuisine. They have beer and liquor beverage options as well. My gumbo was served to me in a large styrofoam cup and it wasn't bad. I would have appreciated crab meat vs. the crab claw but that's just cause I was feeling lazy that day. It had good flavor. The service was good but the shrimp po-boy was terrible.
google avatar

Breanna T.

Yelp
Great place to get New Orleans seafood. Everything is alway so seasoned and always good. They are very consistent when it comes to their seafood. They have multiple locations. All are very good. The people are really nice and very local.

Yelp
Can't get better than a seafood boil! Cajun Seafood makes the whole process fast and easy. I got 1lb crawfish (5.99) and 1lb shrimp head-on (9.99), which is the only way to do it, and it was not too much for me! I should've gotten a starch/carb to fill myself up a bit more. The crawfish were big and juicy and the flavor grew on me the more I ate. The shrimp was absolutely delicious and huge. Would def come back again! Plenty of seating available.

Vibinwith T.

Yelp
Them crawfish babyyyy !! So good but they are spicy but really flavorful, the sides are good as well and you get a good amount. There services were quick you get to watch them plate your food but depending if there alot of people up there they have you wait for a few minutes. THE GUMBOO best thing on the menu I got a large thing of gumbo and it come with a side a rice it's very flavorful and has a kick. The place is definitely a favorite and and the flavor is exotic!! This was my first and definitely not a last visit to New Orleans out of all restaurants I've went on this trip this was my favorite.
google avatar

Mary Z.

Yelp
wow I thought I didn't like crawfish but now I realize every crawfish I had before just sucked. This Louisiana crawfish was sooooo fresh and plump and delicious flavor. The sauce perfectly marinated into the meat and I got extra Cajun butter sauce on the side and OMG it was soooooo delicious I also got the turkey neck bc the guy at the counter recommended it to me and it was amazing!!! Sooooo tender!! Get this if you dare. So much meat and very good price. I got the crawfish pie and I wasn't a big fan. I wasn't a big fan of the gumbo either but that's ok, just not my taste! Ambiance is super casual and no frills! Service was sweet and helpful

Yelp
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cajun Seafood, and I have to say, the crawfish stole the show. This unassuming deli-style restaurant has an incredible selection of boiled and fried seafood that is sure to satisfy any seafood lover's cravings. The crawfish were juicy, plump, and perfectly seasoned. They were cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of spice and flavor that made them impossible to resist. Every bite was bursting with flavor and left me wanting more. In addition to the amazing crawfish, Cajun Seafood also offers a variety of other seafood options like crab legs, shrimp, and fried fish. And while the restaurant may not have the most upscale atmosphere, the food more than makes up for it. It's the perfect spot for a casual, no-frills meal that is sure to satisfy your seafood cravings. Overall, if you're a fan of juicy, perfectly seasoned crawfish, then Cajun Seafood is definitely worth checking out. The restaurant may not look like much from the outside, but the food is fantastic and will leave you wanting to come back for more.

Yelp
Super local spot, fresh seafood selection, sell by lb, to go, or boiling crawfish, snow crab, blue crab, catfish and much more, fried rice, and fast food. Nice folks work here, especially the guy that do all the cleaning up. People rarely tip him, so it's nice to remind yourself to care for those who serving you, when you are dining in. This is definitely a local spot, in the seven ward, might be a little uncomfortable for some people, but I was OK to come here without my hubby, I'm a wanderlust and always comfortable everywhere I go. It's just 1.5 miles from the French Quarter tourist area. Snow crab was good, the corn was overly soggy, and the crawfish was solid, but everything is salty (as most places I visited in New Orleans), the local people love salty food here! So drink a lot of water please! Very reasonable price compare to other tourist spots, it's a good place if you have a big group, a little bit of everything for everyone!

Yelp
While staying at a nearby hotel, I was looking for some good food recommendations in the area. The cleaning lady who is a local, recommended this place. Folks, listen to the locals! Walked over to this spot and as soon as I arrived, I saw a line extending past the door. This place is a food place and a foos market. I ordered 1lb of boiled shrimp with corn and boiled egg. That meal was tasty. Finished up the whole thing. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good Seafood boil in the area Fun Fact: This restaurant is owned by Lil Wayne.

Yelp
I liked it so much. I came here twice in one week. They have the BEST crawfish--nice size and spicy. Today I tried the sauteed blue crabs, and I wasn't a big fan. They had a sweet taste, and sweet doesn't pair well with seafood, in my opinion. I also tried the crawfish pie. It was crawfish etouffee in a pastry. Similar to an empanada. I'll stick to the crawfish because they are always seasoned to perfection. I also tried the corn, which was a bit gooey to me. The mushrooms and boiled eggs were on point. I purchased their side order of spicy garlic butter, which was too hot for me, and I like spicy foods. I can't comment on Chinese food because I have never tried it. Personally, it's not presentable, so I'm not willing to try it, but baby, the seafood is delicious. If you are looking for a fancy spot, this is not the place for you. They are a dine-in if you wish/dare or to go place. The lines are long in the evenings and on the weekends, but it does move fast.

Yelp
A must try hole in the wall in New Orleans. This place seemed a little sketchy, yes it's located right next to the freeway. Order the seafood especially if it's crawfish season. I thoroughly enjoyed their sautéed crab. It's like an Asian twist on whole crabs but it's so yummy!

Yelp
Good food; one of those next best thing to a home cooked meal type place. It's clean and you can eat inside. Service is alright at best; they get you in and out but not everyone is really friendly. Nevertheless the crawfish and catfish poboys were on point! Seasoned well which is a must for my husband. It's a definite go to whenever we visit New Orleans.

Yelp
I came to NOLA for the crawfish, and I was on a mission to find a local spot. Cajun seafood was it! It's far from the tourist area, so you will have to get an Uber. It's located 10 mins away from the French quarter by the freeway. Across the restaurant under the freeway, people were selling their own homemade drinks. I saw some people bring those drinks into Cajun Seafood. The customers were local and seemed to know what to order. There's two lines, one for boiled seafood and another line for everything else. The boiled seafood line was along the entire time we ate there. We got crawfish and headless shrimp (but we ordered head on shrimp). Unlike LA, there's no flavor choice. 1 flavor, 1 spice level. Added the corn and sausage as well. The workers expect you to quickly make decisions since the line is long. You order your drinks when you pay. Once we got our food and drinks paid for, we sat down at the table. There's no butcher paper or bibs like LA, so we used the double bag to put our shells. The crawfish was my favorite. It was spicy and full of flavors. You can tell it was boiled for awhile. Shrimp was good too but crawfish blows it out. I could live without the corn, but the sausage is a must have! A friendly man gave us napkins and hand sanitizer at the table. He also wipes tables down after people leave. Don't forget to tip him because other reviews says he doesn't actually work there. So don't forget to bring cash!! Lastly, I just wanted to note how unique their menu was. They had boiled seafood, Chinese food, southern food and pasta all on the same menu. Those with picky friends, come here and make everyone happy! I cannot wait to come here again!!

Yelp
We got 10 lbs of crawfish to-go here. They were not fresh, some were cold and some were hot, and too spicy. No good.

Yelp
I tried this place when I traveled to New Orleans. I searched via google for best Cajun food and found out this place. First all, please don't judge this place. I wasn't happy when I walked into this place from they style. It's kinda of market or look like quite dirty with fish smell So I hesitated to order. My friend who noticed it asked me to go somewhere else. But time was around 8pm, it was late to go somewhere else but I was felt bad for I wanted go to other place after I eating this place food. It was so great and cheap!!!! Looks like not spicy at all but it's spicy that they look. I wish they food was warm more. I would love to go this place again when I travel to New Orleans again. But also wanted try other Cajun food restaurants too. They charged for gloves. They even didn't asking you about it so you should tell them if you need gloves. Also they cook for other dishes not Cajun crawfish or shrimp.
