NINA RESTAURANT & TAPAS BAR

My partner and I had an excellent evening and an excellent meal here. We stopped in pretty early before dinner started, so we settled in and had some happy hour drinks (5-6 pm) before dinner started at 6 pm. The dishes we had were excellent, but the service from the waiter was outstanding. Based on his service, we thought he was the owner! Great wines and beers, great food, and to top it off we came in when they were playing live music. Overall excellent choice for a dinner in St Helen’s!

Fantastic! Great home made food (try the lamb stew it was delicious) with tapas dishes or conventional main meals. We went a collection of tapas dishes and main meals and was not disappointed, they were all amazing. The service is top notch as well and really sets the place apart with fast efficient and friendly service. If you still have space at the end of the night then definitely try the dessert, can recommend the chocolate and stout cake!

Best dining experience in st. Helen. The resturant is on the pricy side but the food is totally worth it. Fish of the day and vegetable curry with rice and roti were great. Excellent table serivce and great atmosphere.

Excellent service and the oysters and wine I had were both very good quality, lease 65 oysters fat and juicy and very fresh, Priory ridge Sauvignon blanc went perfectly with it.

A fantastic meal with six star service. I had the fish of the day (Trevalla) and it was fantastic. They were so accommodating with our seven Month old baby despite us making quite a mess and a bit of noise. The owner was extremely charming and made our night memorable. We don't get away much at the moment so it means a lot to have a lovely night out. Make this restaurant a must visit if you are in St Helens.

A wonderful dinner, had the salad and catch of the day. Like many places in Tasmania, help is hard to get. But the two people working the dining room are always very attentive, and chef Irena (the restaurant is named for her mother Nina) delivers some of the plates herself. We thought the prices reasonable, through this is not - nor does it present itself as - inexpensive (quality ingredients, good atmosphere). If you are looking for a nice evening out, this is a good choice.

Had a great dinner here earlier tonight. Place was surprisingly quiet on a Tuesday night but the warm hospitality made up for that. The catch of the day, which was recommended on a bed of risotto and asparagus was delicious and the peach crumble dessert, also specially recommended, was superb. My wife’s beef cheek was also very good, albeit a bit jelly-ish in parts. Highly recommended
