Cakes on the Corner LTD

Went back at the end of July as I have seen it on the street and was intrigued to see this recently new small business (and me having a sweet tooth it was calling me). When I walked in I was as greeted nicely and loved the interior design- it was pink, bubbly, really looked like those American bakery shops, so very inviting inside. My order was taken within minutes. There was a multitude of items on the menu, having the blackboard did help somewhat although it could be hard to navigate at times because there was so much, so perhaps having laminated menus at the front is easier to read and more legible. My order: - Oreo and Salted Caramel Milkshake (Regular) £5.90 - Milk Chocolate Cookie Dough (they also offer white chocolate and red velvet) £4.50 The milkshake was a good size for a regular although a bit pricey if I am honest, perhaps should be in the under £5 range for regular and then large can charge more. It was very nice, could taste the perfect blend of Oreo and that salted caramel just gave it that extra kick in the drink. Great drink overall The cookie dough was good for what it was, however a bit anti climatic and disappointing. It took 17 mins to cook, which is quite long in my opinion. Additionally, it was on the overcooked size, a bit burnt to be honest. Cookie dough should be gooey, warm and chewy, not like a biscuit which is what I received. Because of this, it kind of ruined the milk chocolate flavour. Additionally the portion at first glance was small, however when having additional sweet items, it makes sense to not have a huge portion otherwise it will be sickly to eat. Overall, Cakes on the Corner is a nice addition to Camberwell, with the many multitude of options being great that there is something for everyone. Great location as well, easily accessible, however on the time to make certain items and the cook time on them can be improved. Have been here for the sneaky late night dessert which is great but they do an oreo cake which I absolutely love,so I asked if they can make a oreo birthday cake..a few timing issues but the customer service was impeccable and I was very satisfied with how it was resolved. The birthday cake was amazing (in looks and taste). Highly recommended

I very rarely leave reviews but this place is exceptional! The cheesecake is amazing. I ordered 4 other cakes and everyone loved them. The lemon drizzle is another favourite and they are reasonably priced. My new desert shop, just in time for winter! 😝

Cakes on the corner customer service 10/10!!! Very helpful team and kind. The milkshake options were lovely and quite a lot which is 👍🏾. I ordered the bueno milkshake. The only issue is that the milkshake was blended too much, for me I prefer to have some few smaller chunks like the milkshake at cakes and custard in Peckham. The cake sizes were beautifully big and taste nice but would prefer alittle sweeter but I guess it might have been the option I bought which was the jam sponge. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, really kind team🙏🏾💜

Fantastic!! Ordered hubby’s birthday cake, and left it up to them to decorate, just requested it carrot and to be a dark blue colour with some gold. They aced it!! Tasted so good and looked amazing. Recommend!! I’m not much of a sweet person, but their cakes are so light and lovely you can’t help but eat it all 😍😍😍

The cakes and custard were good and the guy behind the counter was very nice. Downside was how dirty the place was. There was old food on the table, and it clearly hadn’t been wiped down for what looked like the entire day

Oh my Gosh! I love every single cake from here. I always get the red velvet cake slice. The cheesecakes are to die for, I’ve almost had every single one- Oreo cheesecake my top choice. I love a desert so definitely love it here

Most disgusting dessert. Ordered on Uber eats - sticky toffee pudding was ice cold, who serves that cold?? Cookie dough was literally uncooked, looked absolutely disgusting. Had to throw it straight int he bin. Picture below is their “cookie dough”😂😂😂😂😂
