Our daughter just graduated from UT and we had a graduation party for her. We wanted a sculpted Hook’em mascot on her cake and matching cupcakes in various flavors. Cakes Rock did an amazing job!!! Our family and friends were so impressed on the details of the cake and cupcakes. And the flavors were delicious! Thank you to all that worked on our cake. Our daughter was so happy!!! Also thank you for the Sunday delivery.

Cakes ROCK!!! lives up to its name. It is an amazing bakery and my wife and I could not be happier with the results of our beautiful wedding and groom's cakes. Christy and her crew absolutely exceeded our expectations for our cakes, she was even able to make a batch of gluten free nut free cupcakes for our guests. They worked with us every step of the way and helped us design our own personalized flavors and cake combinations as well as the design on our cakes, which we loved more than words can say. The crew did an amazing job and I cannot recommend them enough to anyone looking for a great bakery for a special occasion. The cakes tasted divine and looked incredible, we will definitely continue to hire this bakery for events going forward. We cannot thank them enough for their professionalism and hard work, looking forward to tasting many more creations from Cakes ROCK!!!

From email communication to our wedding day, this place never drops the ball. I never felt shamed for things I wasn’t aware of as a bride and they were so courteous when I asked questions. I wish I still lived in Austin so I could get more decadent cakes from them. We asked for a 4 tier cake with an unfinished edge style. I also had a budget. Not a problem for Cakes Rock! They immediately got to work keeping my budget in mind and getting as close to my vision as possible. In the end, their recommendation of having a 3 tier and a separate cutting tier worked perfectly. Each tier was a different flavor. My guests raved about the cake on our wedding day and they still do almost a year later. The cake looked amazing and tasted even better! We did a rainbow- layered, lemon flavored cake with blueberry buttercream. In addition, we have an assortment of mini-deserts which gave plenty of options for our guests. Overall, we were really impressed with the quality and flavors from Cakes Rock!

Cakes Rock did an AMAZING job at my wedding! We asked for a chandelier cake in navy/gold and a groom's cake of a dragon on a dice tower castle and to 'add any creative touches you want' within those parameters. I'm sure I must have mentioned at some point that I'm a cat person, because of how the dragon came out. I wouldn't have even thought of a dragon licking it's paws, but I loved it. I highly recommend cakes rock!

Christy and the Cakes Rock!!! team were truly a joy to work with for our small wedding this past March. The entire process was smooth and the level of detail to the artwork is MIND-BLOWING! Sometimes with desserts, there's a certain trade-off between showstopping design and taste, but let us tell you that no bite was left uneaten and the design work was phenomenal! Christy and her team did such an amazing job! Our cake came out exactly how we envisioned it, not to mention and how incredibly delicious it was! We saved our top tier, and I just can’t hardly wait to eat it on our 1 year! And did I mention, I am not a big fan of cake but this cake was oh so delicious and just stunning. It was absolutely perfect! I would definitely order here again for any occasion.

Not only did she make two amazing cakes for our wedding but she was a joy to work with. Everything was easy from the cake tasting, payment, and the final delivery/set up. Our cake turned out exactly as desired for my sister's baby shower. The taste was outstanding (moist and not too sweet per many of our guests!). JT was super responsive. Hands down outstanding quality and service. Highly recommend!

A simple 6" cake of 12 servings starts $245. The phone service is very poor. The voice mail keep telling me to do the email. Since Thursday, I was trying to get ahold of ladies in timely manner to be able to work with. I requested my wishing and it menu says $7 per serving. So it's $84 dollars total with just frost and mix. I wanted her to decorate the flowers as a normal cake. She says it starts $245. Whoa. Wait a minute? Its not fondant , 3-D or gumpaste anything like that. Not even two tiers. They refused to answer my question to see if this image is actually $245 for just 12 servings. Suddenly, they shut me out as it says it booked for next week. Wow. That was rude. I had to be frank with her that her business is a one star. And that store just being removed off my big bash checklist in 2024.

FIVE STARS!!! Cakes Rock! made us the most amazing wedding cake! Small wedding, but this cake blew everyone away! professional, organized, awesome staff... and of course, a delicious cake!!

My cakes came out perfect! Exactly what I wanted. The Groom's cake was German chocolate with ganache chocolate frosting and was truly amazing!! The Bride's cake was almond amoretto with buttercream frosting and raspberry filling. It was very good as well. Very happy with my wedding cakes!

Amazing experience! we had them do a wedding cake and 80 cheesecake/brownie shooters for a wedding, the cake was perfect,the shooters were great! at the last minute I got a call about a very severe nut allergy with one of the guests, I called in to them to see if there were anything with nuts in the order, I was amazed at the length they went to to check this out, I was so appreciative of the genuine concern, they even checked to see if the order had any cross contamination from storage! very, very impressed with these folks!

I ordered my daughter's birthday cake here and it turned out better than we could've hoped for. Everything from the design to the flavor was fantastic, guests couldn't stop raving about her cake at the party! Everyone here is friendly, they give great service and the environment is cozy. This is our second year ordering a cake from them, I 100% recommend this bakery!

Cakes Rock was amazing to work with from start to finish! We had a 4 tier wedding cake and a grooms cake and both were stunning and tasted amazing. We received a ton of compliments from our guests. They were able to incorporate our two kitties onto our cake which we were so happy with. Would highly recommend Christy and her team to anyone looking for a gorgeous and tasty cake!

We ordered cakes & cupcakes from Cakes ROCK twice. My both kids LOVED them and I love how they designed and they were so DELICIOUS!! We definitely will order from them again!

I was blown away! Not only are these the best cakes in Austin, they might just be the best cakes ever! The salted caramel frosting is so decadent. Oh, chef's kiss! Beautifully decorated, but more importantly, a damn good cake! Not dense nor dry, perfectly baked and incredible flavor. They will be the cake of any special event I have for forever. Cakes do indeed ROCK when you get them from here!!

We absolutely loved the wedding cake & groom's cake that Cakes ROCK created for us! They were as beautiful on the outside as they were delicious on the inside! We had requested an all-vegan cake and Christy and her team were kind enough to take the extra time to make sure we got the flavor profile we were looking for. They came up with a new recipe for vegan swiss meringue style buttercream for us that was absolutely amazing- so light and the perfect sweetness! And it paired so well with the cake and fruit compotes. We appreciate the hard work and kindness that they put into creating our dream wedding cakes and would highly recommend their services! :)

Cakes ROCK... seriously rocks! I ordered a custom cake for my wife's birthday last year. It was extremely easy emailing back and forth with JT on what I wanted and what budget I was comfortable with. The cake from last year was delicious, my wife and I loved it, so I ordered a new custom cake for this year as well. I love their designs, their cakes are delicious, and its so much fun adding a unique bit of creativity to celebrations. They've made a life-long return customer out of me, I will be continuing to order custom cakes every year for my wife's birthday.

The Cakes Rock team was amazing to work with. I was living out of state at the time and was communicating with the office manager via email. She made the whole process flow seamlessly from setting up a cake tasting in a short window of time I had to helping me troubleshoot when Venmo and square had a hiccup. Every single request I had for the cake was met with an enthusiastic yes we can do that. She helped us stay within our budget and made me really comfortable through out the entire process. Austin was a destination wedding for us so we did not have any references for our cake. After speaking to a few bakeries we know Cakes Rock would definitely be the most attentive and the certainly were. The cake was perfect exactly like the picture we sent and it was absolutely delicious. We had requested gluten free and everyone raved that it was the best cake they had ever had. From start to finish the Cakes ROCK! Team did a superb job. I wanted a mid century mod atomic cat cake for my 50th bday party, which just happened to be on Friday the 13th! From the very first contact, via email, I had a wonderful experience. I shared what I wanted for my Daughters 1st Birthday cake along with some inspiration pictures, along with the 2 dates I needed cakes for and I was quoted excellent prices for 3 custom cakes, 2 Smash & 1 Full. Unfortunately with the COVID19 situation we had to cancel our daughter's party. When I contacted Cakes Rock about this they were extremely understanding and helpful in accommodating our change of plans which required just 1 Smash Cake. They gave us a credit to use at a later time for our other cakes and planned the smash cake to be ready the day we needed. The cake was above my expectations! They took my inspiration and turned it in to my reality! The cake was gorgeous outside and inside, it was exactly what I wanted and more! Not only was it beautiful but it tasted amazing too, it was moist inside and better than any cake I've gotten before from other bakeries. Our overall experience from start to finish was top notch! I highly recommend Cakes Rock and will be using them for all of our future cake needs. If I could give more than 5 Stars I would.

Christy and her team were nothing short of amazing during this whole process. We are so thankful we found them! They communicated quickly and efficiently to answer any questions or concerns we had. Our cake turned out beautiful & everyone loved it!

We did a simple black 1-tier cake with hummingbird cake and browned butter filling. Working with this company was a breeze. I was able to take my tasting home from Austin (where I work) back home to Houston so my fiancé and I could both try the flavors. This was the perfect set up during the pandemic when normal tastings may not be as safe. The flavors we chose were incredible and the black cake was elegant. I was cautious when choosing a cake vendor because I worried about the black staining teeth, but through consultation I was informed black fondant would not stain, and they were right. Highly recommend!

The name says it all, your cake will certainly ROCK! Both of our cakes were the rock star of our wedding and tasted great! Mine was everything I wanted and more, with a cascading blue ombre design to look like the lake background of our wedding venue, and his Jet's Pizza cake in a box nearly stole the show! He's from Detroit, where Jet's originated, so he's the expert on what this type of pizza should look like, and he gave it double thumbs up and nearly cried when he saw it. I walked up thinking they just put a real pizza box at the bottom and not a cake-box style like we talked about, and I was about to get mad at my wedding planner for not checking this properly, until I got closer and realized it IS cake!! The box looked THAT real!! Christy and her team are at a different level of artistry, professionalism, and flavor profile than any other out there. I can contest to this as a former bakery business owner in a competing and larger city, my expectations are extremely high when it comes to everything that encompasses desserts, especially cakes....and WOW WOW WOW this place blew me away! It is one thing to make a beautiful cake, it's another thing to make it taste good, on top of my cake being vegan, which nobody knew by the way. Cakes ROCK has so many vegan flavors, all that are wonderful. We got to try several in our tasting, vegan and regular flavors, and we knew immediately that this was the place for us. And we visited 4 different Austin bakeries, some highly ranked on this page, but nobody compares to Cakes ROCK! Christy and her team will go the extra mile in helping your vision turn to reality. They will reply promptly to emails and texts and accommodate you and provide stellar custom service from start to finish. There's not enough room here for me to elaborate more! I ordered a teapot cake for my niece's bridal shower and it was an awesome experience! I sent a picture of what I wanted, went over a few details and they did the rest! The customer service here is outstanding and the cake was beautiful and DELICIOUS! We went there not knowing it was appointment only but the owner was so friendly and helpful, she took our order even though she was swamped with wedding stuff. I asked for a flavor not on the menu and she said no problem! I've ordered cakes from other Austin bakeries before but their customer service does not compare to Cakes Rock. Plus like I said the cake was so yummy!

During this unprecedented time I was able to contact cakes rock and they were able to deliver a cake that was absolutely hilarious for my daughter's 21st birthday. Keep in mind we are in Florida and our daughter is in Texas and Cakes ROCK!!! was able to accommodate us on a weeks notice. The cake was everything she wanted and she absolutely loves it. Apologies for the cellophane but it's a Barbie throwing up sprinkles.

Christy is A-MAZING to work with! We actually had to cancel our cake delivery to a venue and instead get individual tiers we are going to pick up since COVID19 canceled our wedding plans. They were awesome about rescheduling and changing with our needs. They are even going to refund our fee for cake stand rental since we didnt need them and we didnt even ask - they offered! Also, their red velvet cake is so delicious :D Highly recommend Cakes Rock!!!

Time and time again, Christy and her amazing team at Cakes ROCK! outdo themselves. I started going to them for my custom cake needs for the past 3-4 years and I swear they just keep getting better. Whether it's a simple, pretty design idea or something super awesome and creative, they nail it. Most recently I was ordering a cake for my sons birthday and sent them pictures and ideas of how I wanted the cake to look. I knew it would come out nicely but OMG, it was better than I could've dreamt. I order at least one custom cake a year and seriously couldn't be more grateful for the consistency they've exhibited. Cakes Rock really does rock. It was a total pleasure to work with them! The entire process was remarkable. My daughter could not be there for the cake tasting, so I went in her place. There were plenty of flavors to taste. They use only fresh ingredients (nothing from a mix) and the butter cream icing is divine. And I don't normally like butter cream. They took the photos and paint chips that we brought in and delivered a beautiful cake. The sugar flowers were so intricate, many people did not realize that they were not real. Delivery was right on time and went smoothly. Since it was a small wedding without a planner, we were given instructions about cutting the cake and boxes for the top layer and extra cake. I wish I had more reasons to order cake.

Made the best wedding cakes we could have imagined!!! Recreated our kitty for the groom's cake and made a gorgeous traditional bridal cake. Cant recommend them more! Beautiful artistry, delicious cake, fantastic customer service.

I can't say enough good things about the amazing cakes, desserts and service from Christy and her team of cake minions at Cakes Rock! The cakes are carefully crafted with love and man do they make some really neat cakes! Aaaaand they are all delicious. I love the res velvet and snickerdoodle flavors. Can't wait to try more. This is the bakery you want and Christy is the person you should trust to craft it for you. As a caterer, I love working with her and her team and highly suggest you do too.

I've worked with Christy for events and she is absolutely wonderful. Her cake literally disappeared within minutes. I could SMELL the chocolate as I walked up to the cake. But what's just as amazing as the taste, is the design and structure and amount of time she puts into her cakes. I had guests thinking this cake was an actual present! Fabulous. And Christy herself is a beautiful person and so great to work with! I will ALWAYS recommend her.

I've had Cakes Rock make my daughter's birthday cakes for five years in a row now. Each one was spectacular and stole the show. Not only are they amazing works of art but they taste great too. She's got so many amazing flavors and fillings and fondant that you actually want to eat!!!! You can't go wrong with Christy's cakes. It was such a relief at my late June wedding, knowing that our gluten free and vegan wedding guests could eat their cake slices without a worry. It was when my friend Kandice and her husband Paul confessed to going back for more cake slices - and then both of my aunts said the same thing - that I knew the cakes had been a hit! We used Christy's quirky style and her eye for the most minute of details for the groom's cake, which we decided would be in the likeness of an NES gaming system. It looked so perfect that I was hesitant to cut out its first cake slice. But it was delicious, and by the end of the night ... it was gone. We are thinking about hiring her for our anniversary cakes in the future!

Would love to give Shanna Miller and everyone at Cakes Rock more than 5 stars. I came across their site when searching from my home in NM for a place to make a memorable cake for my mother's 70th birthday. They did NOT disappoint. The cake was beyond my expectations and SO delicious. The choices for flavors can be intimidating (they ALL sound amazing). We went with the blueberry lemonade with lemon curd filling. UH-MAZING! I will definitely tell my friends and family to come here for their creative cake needs!

Cakes Rock!!! did an amazing job on our wedding cake!! The whole experience was perfect from start to finish, and Christy is so helpful and truly wants to make your every wish come true. The flavors are absolutely incredible. I highly recommend the Almond Amaretto and Disco Lemonade. I've always heard that no one ever really eats the wedding cake and that there are plates of cake everywhere at the end of the reception, but not at my wedding!! I had people walking around trying to steal other peoples cake because it was THAT good. They also placed the beautiful cascading flowers and it looked absolutely amazing! I highly recommend choosing Cakes Rock!!! You will be so happy you did.

So disappointed in this business and their complete lack of...customer service, humility, empathy, business sense?! After five emails and two phone calls, I had a cake design, a price and what I thought was an order for a cake. When I called to check on my cake there was no order and I'm Left the day before an important event without a cake! It's possible that this was a miscommunication but what is really bothering me is that the owner, in her complete and infuriating hubris, absolutely refused to even acknowledge the possibility that the mix up might have been on her end. I rarely write negative reviews but I feel compelled to warn others that this business will NOT have your back. Even if the onus for communication error was on me it would have been the responsible, kind and ethical thing to do for her to " attempt" to make it right which she had NO interest in doing as she's just " too busy". Considering she was going to charge me $150 for a six inch cake I'm guessing that her wedding cakes are in the thousands and my piddly little cake wasn't worth her time. Well, Christy, I'm glad that you are SOOO popular and SOOOO busy but I promise you, you keep up this manner of treating customers and you won't have a business. There's a saying " gettin too big for your britches "- well, that pretty much sums up Cakes Rock.
