Cal Maritime

Don't. It's not what it used to be. Expect to be screwed by the academic advisor you didn't know you had. Enjoy the prison like dorm experience and garbage food you're required to pay for. Embrace the campus security that exists entirely to write parking tickets, because you aren't paying enough already. Hope your vehicle isn't broken into or vandalized, because they won't do anything about it, but they will threaten you. Its all about the money, which also neatly describes Vallejo and Solano county. Don't come here. I can't say east coast options are better, but they'd have to work hard to be worse.

CSU Maritime is an amazing educational institution. The campus is beautiful. They have top of the line training facilities with some of the best maritime simulators in the world. Their engineering program is bar none. Every CMA graduate that wants a job will find a job, and will probably find a good job. CMA has a broad course selection ranging from navigation sciences to engineering and international business. Recently CSU Maritime merged with Cal poly San Luis Obispo. I'm confident this will make the school even better.

I would have gave them a fat one 🌟 but it was the police campus cops towed my car set my court date 2 months out show up to no court date this is the second time I went to court to find out I am not on the calendar again last time they did that 2 days later I have a warrant and get arrested for the setup well this time I went back with the ticket to get a paper in writing proving that I appeared on the calendar so since I don't have court should I get my car back they took it because I was making payments on the registration for $771.00 in full to get the car back if I could have done that I would have already the Sargent knows I I wouldn't be able to pay for my car I was already making payments on it

Beautiful campus right near the bay. Good engineering programs.

A great university that really focus on student.

Beautiful small campus. Probably best for students right out of high school who need structure. Good instructors but poor administrators. You’ll need to stay in constant contact with admin to ensure things are done timely, financial aide is handled and credit is given. Transfer students are not high priority here. My 2 sons transferred in and graduated. Should have been recognized for honors and leadership but the couldn’t even spell one’s name right and completely left the other off the program. After printing special programs for us, still spelled name wrong. Who misspells “Jeremy”? As they say, great place to be FROM.

My son is a freshman in the Marine Transportation program and he is not only thriving but very content at Cal Maritime. He speaks highly of his professors, has made great friends and it has been the perfect fit him. He has never mentioned any bullying and says the food is fine. His goal is to succeed and do well and I believe Cal Maritime will give him the support to do so. It is a great campus!

This school should be shut down immediately! It has a unique history of discrimination against minority’s! They have absolutely no diversity neither do they care. This place is horrible for anyone looking to a great opportunity! They have high turnover for instructors and treat minority’s like trash. We filed 5 discrimination complaints for my son he was treated horrible there. This place is run by “FAR RIGHT” politics and they provide huge protections for incompetent staff! The Corp is the most racist entity among any college institution! This place has high inequality and is an embarrassment! I’m so embarrassed to say I attended this school! Tax payers are getting hosed in paying for this place to exist. It needs to be shut down!! If you want to see modern Day Jim Crow at work just take a trip to 300 Maritime Academy Drive!
