Cal Ton de Vilafranca del Penedès

They had a tasting Menu but I wanted Denton so we got from regular menu. I chose the fish which was heavenly. My husband chose the beef - it had beautiful mushrooms which is available during Spring. The appetizers were sooo good! The dessert was not your usual Tiramisu - think deconstructed.

Had a fantastic experience at Cal Ton for a family event. The formal setting was perfect for a special occasion with the in-laws. The 38eur menu, including wine, is a great deal. We opted for a lighter lunch—2 appetizers and 1 main each. The food was exceptional, and portions were generous enough for sharing. The house wine, fitting for "El Penedes," was delightful. Overall, a superb choice for a family gathering. We'll definitely be returning!

Stopped here for dinner on our weekend in Villafranca (mid July) and had the best experience! We made a reservation but probably didn’t need to (the lunch crowd is bigger than the dinner crowd). We ordered things a la carte, but they had three different tasting menus that all looked amazing. Everything we had was delicious - 3 starters and 1 main dish to share for two people. The service was incredible and the hosts were so accommodating to our lack of Spanish speaking skills 🙃 would definitely recommend a stop here!

Highly recommend. We came here for dinner while on vacation and both the food and service were excellent. You can call and make a reservation after 6pm but we didn’t need it. Apparently they are much busier for lunch. The restaurant is beautiful inside and they conveniently had a menu in English for us lazy tourists. They have three delicious-looking tasting menus at reasonable prices but we ended up ordering off the menu instead.

Family run place, food is superb, as is the wine list, warm, friendly service. Both nights we ate there the place was open specially, a great treat. If you go, try the testing menu and ask for local recommendations of wine

It’s one of the best restaurants in Vilafranca “un clásico”. Do not doubt to go !!

Initially this seemed a bit odd; the owner came across as standoffish. But I think it's just because they're always full; once the food started arriving, service became more relaxed and friendly and the dining was outstanding. Reserve well in advance.
