"Your “It Girl” friend who’s serious about making TikToks will find some mild milestone to celebrate at Cala. There’s a party brunch atmosphere with comically oversized espresso martinis and flaming saganaki that will torch any eyebrows that get too close. But it’s also one of the best things on the menu, so it’s worth the fire hazard. Waiters deliver sparkler-topped drinks like rush hour traffic while DJ sets thump in the background on the open-air misted patio. After enjoying the Mediterranean mezze platter and a couple of cucumber vodka cocktails, you’ll have the courage to play tipsy Marco Polo at the Senna House rooftop pool." - Lauren Topor

Cala offers a variety of delicious and traditional seafood dishes from Peru. The cocktails were well-crafted and the food was good. Desserts were fresh. The views of the beach beautiful during sunset. However, some of the furniture has stains from food and weathering. Hopefully they look into this

Made a last minute reservation for lunch and had the option to sit inside or outside - we chose to sit outside. It was lovely getting to be close to the water and hear the crashing of the waves. The interior was also really nice. We ordered the traditional ceviche, lobster, fried rice, and fresh juice. Everything was fresh and delicious.

Went to Cala yesterday for lunch with my wife. Started off the service with 2 cocktails Both cocktails tasted very nice, and were presented beautifully We ordered the angus carpaccio, 65c egg, and oysters to start Before the food arrived, the waiter delivered the utensils and left them on the table in a very awkward angle.. the small things matter the most! Everything was good but the oysters were destroyed and when you charge premium prices, you expect the kitchen staff to be a little bit more skilled and the chef to be more vigilant of the plates before they leave the kitchen. Oyster wasn’t shucked, it was destroyed, stabbed and broken. The oyster meat was still swimming in ocean water. Half the meat was on the shell. When you serve a sauce table side, you need to put the accurate amount of Leche de Tigre in the sauce cup and not too much as the client might not be aware of how much to put on each oyster and will end up ruining the dish Unfortunately we had to end the lunch there to avoid any other risks. The front of house staff and manager did an excellent job at taking care of the situation and I was not charged for the oysters which made the experience a lot better. Ambience and atmosphere 5/5

We came here for dinner as per a friend’s recommendation. The place wasn’t busy, so we were able to snag a table on the balcony, which has an impeccable view of the ocean. Overall, I enjoyed the ambience and our drinks, but I think the dishes could’ve been prepared better. Specifically, the catch of the day — grilled flounder that cost 245 soles - was too salty; and the grilled octopus was half overcooked and half raw. Also as a note, bread service is 12 soles pp - while I think it’s delicious & totally worth it, it wasn’t communicated to us it would be a separate charge. As much I loved the vibe of the restaurant, I was left dissatisfied with the food quality :( Given how iconic & popular Cala is, I think it’s still worth a try, just keep your expectations at a reasonable level.

Food was amazing, service was slow and it's definitely on the pricey side. Honestly for this $$$ I would hire at least one person who could speak English. I also noticed everyone around us got proper napkins, but we got paper napkins which flew away with the first breeze. The non alcoholic drink we ordered had a giant block of ice which was 2/3 of the glass!

Delicious lunch at this popular Oceanside restaurant. I sat upstairs and had a great view of the ocean and really enjoyed the waves to the rock.

10/10! This place was recommended to me by a local host from the area. I came at a less busier time so I was able to sit right in front of the ocean and take in the breeze. I highly recommend the grilled octopus and the prawn chowder. ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS. Also, the entire staff was extremely friendly and ensured that I had a great experience. I will be back on my next trip to Peru!

Hey, we’re Vicky and Malte! One of the few options in Lima where you can dine directly on the water! Everything—service, food, and drinks—was excellent. We tried the Ceviche, Crab Causa, Duck, and of course, Pisco, and wow, it was impressively good! We’ve already returned a few times, and we’ll definitely be back in the future.
