"When it opened in 1987, Calabash Grenada was, in some ways, a luxury boutique hotel before the concept had really been created. Now, a few decades later, it has subtly moved with the times, and the rest of the world has caught on to the idea of luxury hospitality on a modest, human scale." - The MICHELIN Guide UK Editorial Team

"Why we love it: A boutique hideaway with top-notch service and excellent food The Highlights: - A choice of breakfast on the beach or in your suite - Some of the best food on the island at Rhodes Restaurant - A prime location right near picturesque L’Anse Aux Epines beach The Review: The only Relais & Châteaux property in Grenada, Calabash is an all-suite boutique hotel owned and run by the Garbutt family, who always seem to be there when you need them. The 30 suites and villas are arranged around eight acres of lush gardens facing the white sands of L’Anse Aux Epines beach and Prickly Bay (which, despite its name, is actually quite calm). Spacious suites and massive villas that sleep up to 10 are elegantly designed in a modern colonial style, with high ceilings, king-size beds, and private patios or balconies; some even have private pools. For added luxury, breakfast is served each morning in your suite or out on the beach. When not lounging in their rooms, guests can sunbathe around the main pool, stroll the beach, or take advantage of amenities like two tennis courts, a well-stocked fitness center, and the Dive & Watersports Centre, which features Hobie sailboats, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards. If you’re in the mood for something less active, head to the on-site spa, a relaxing oasis with a range of treatments and complimentary yoga twice a week. When hunger strikes, there’s the lauded Rhodes Restaurant (note the “elegant” dress code) and the toes-in-the-sand Beach Club, both of which are some of the better places to eat on the island."

I absolutely loved my stay at Calabash Hotel!! |Not only is the property picturesque, in an amazing location and has beautifully designed rooms, the staff were one of a kind. Every single staff member we encountered was friendly, welcoming and genuine. This really made our experience even better, as creating that feeling in a property is very special.|I really enjoyed the Beef Tatami at Nori and the Lobster Gnocchi at Rhodes- Delicious!!|We also loved the option to have breakfast delivered to our verandah. Such a relaxing and enjoyable way to start the day. The Tomato Toast was excellent! I also appreciated the attention to detail and options available for my gluten free diet. |The beach was calm and tranquil. The water was lovely and warm and the whole atmosphere in this area of the resort really lets you relax and rejuvenate. |I would 100% recommend the property to my friends and family as I know they will enjoy it as much as we did. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Calabash Hotel in Grenada! The hotel is beautiful, peaceful, and set in such lovely surroundings. Our room was tastefully decorated with an elegant, luxurious feel — comfortable and well-appointed with every detail carefully thought out. We had the added bonus of a private plunge pool, which made our stay even more special. It would be perfect for a romantic getaway! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the warmest, kindest people — every single person we encountered made us feel at home. The food was a highlight of our stay, especially our dinner at the Japanese restaurant, Nori, where the dishes were absolutely delicious. We also had breakfast delivered to our veranda, and it was a perfect way to start the day — everything I ate was fresh, flavorful, and delightful. |The Calabash truly offers an exceptional experience, and we can’t wait to return!

A fabulous Hotel with exceptional staff, food, accomodations and location. The vibe is upscale, quiet relaxation in outstanding gardens with a pretty white sand beach alongside the beach bar and private jetty. Food is fine dining, beautifully cooked. Will definitely return.

Amazing warm friendly place. An oasis of civility. Excellent dining. Sail a Hobie Cat, snorkel, swim, scuba, tennis or lounge. Breakfast by the sea. Take the room one up from the lowest price. More gracious. We were there for 5 days. Never left except to scuba or sail.

Going to the Calabash is like coming home. It is absolutely the most remarkable place. You are treated as if you were the most consequential guest. Your preferences are remembered on repeat visits. The rooms are wonderful, the food is great, the staff is fantastic, the beach is lovely. The accolades are never ending and well deserved. Grenada is a beautiful island and the Calabash family works hard to make your visit especially lovely. The spa was also enjoyed by our group. Leaving the hotel, various members of our group took a cooking class at Home Hospitality which was great fun; some went on a rainforest hike and visited Crater Lake and the monkeys, and of course there had to be a snorkeling visit to Flamingo Bay and the underwater sculpture garden (which is better seen by diving), and a tour of the chocolate museum. All of this was arranged by the Calabash staff. We can't wait to return!!

This place is fantastic, we loved it. Service is excellent and the drinks and food from George and the team are great. It’s a chilled vibe and a great place to relax. If you’re looking for a place with DJs on the beach this isn’t you for you, it’s super chilled but that’s what we wanted. Beach is super clean and the team who look after you at the beach are great. Definitely will be back next year!

One of the most beautiful and friendliest hotels we’ve ever been to. Everything was perfect and the staff went beyond to make our stay a fantastic one. The restaurants were undeniably some of the best on the island, and the suites were so nice, we had a balcony overlooking the grounds which were immaculately kept. |I celebrated my birthday there and we had a beautiful table set on the jetty. |Thank you so much.

If you want a resort where you feel like royalty, Calabash is the place. The staff are very attentive. My favorite part of the stay is the breakfast that can be served in your villa. Also if eating at the Beach bar don't miss out on the Calabash Burger!!! Yummy!
