Nestled on the tranquil shores of Prickly Bay, this stylish retreat boasts plush rooms, exquisite dining, and a warm, attentive staff ready to pamper you.
"When it opened in 1987, Calabash Grenada was, in some ways, a luxury boutique hotel before the concept had really been created. Now, a few decades later, it has subtly moved with the times, and the rest of the world has caught on to the idea of luxury hospitality on a modest, human scale." - The MICHELIN Guide UK Editorial Team
"Why we love it: A boutique hideaway with top-notch service and excellent food The Highlights: - A choice of breakfast on the beach or in your suite - Some of the best food on the island at Rhodes Restaurant - A prime location right near picturesque L’Anse Aux Epines beach The Review: The only Relais & Châteaux property in Grenada, Calabash is an all-suite boutique hotel owned and run by the Garbutt family, who always seem to be there when you need them. The 30 suites and villas are arranged around eight acres of lush gardens facing the white sands of L’Anse Aux Epines beach and Prickly Bay (which, despite its name, is actually quite calm). Spacious suites and massive villas that sleep up to 10 are elegantly designed in a modern colonial style, with high ceilings, king-size beds, and private patios or balconies; some even have private pools. For added luxury, breakfast is served each morning in your suite or out on the beach. When not lounging in their rooms, guests can sunbathe around the main pool, stroll the beach, or take advantage of amenities like two tennis courts, a well-stocked fitness center, and the Dive & Watersports Centre, which features Hobie sailboats, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards. If you’re in the mood for something less active, head to the on-site spa, a relaxing oasis with a range of treatments and complimentary yoga twice a week. When hunger strikes, there’s the lauded Rhodes Restaurant (note the “elegant” dress code) and the toes-in-the-sand Beach Club, both of which are some of the better places to eat on the island."
