My experience with Calahan Funeral Home was of upmost professionalism throughout the entire process. My loved one looked exactly as I requested. The Limo driver was early and very accommodating to my family.

Failed to honor my family’s prior arrangements for a semi-private viewing. It was devastating that my loved one’s final wishes were completely disregarded. The owner laughed at the idea of a semi-private viewing and ultimately allowed unauthorized parties to change the agreement in the middle of the service. Immediately after the passing, the director entered the hospital room and began questioning the entire family about funeral arrangements, showing no consideration for those who were grieving and not in the proper state to make such decisions.

Calahan did an amazing job with my mother’s service. Each encounter I had with their staff was pleasant and welcoming. They are efficient and professional. This was my first time arranging a service and I had no clue how to even begin. I worked with Jakari and he made everything painless and smooth sailing for me. They prepared my mom very well, from dressing her to the makeup to hair. She looked so peaceful. Calahan even called me after my mom’s service to see how things went. Thank you all for everything. I would definitely recommend Calahan Funeral Home.

I’ve used their service on a professional level many times, initially out of convenience it continued due to the professionalism. When you have to make the call personally, it is totally different. The care that was given from beginning to end was exceptional. They are attentive to detail. The staff was able to read the room and deal with my family’s sense of humor. My mother looked great in at her service. The facilities are clean! Definitely recommend

Stay away from this funeral home! All they want is your money and there is no compassion or professionalism! They don't do anything in a timely fashion - everything is late or at their leisure. Most of the employees are very rude and act like they're doing you a favor. My poor loved one didn't even look like themselves with all the make up smeared on their skin and their clothing. Don't purchase all the extras they offer you because they're not worth it and they don't look like the pictures they show you. They never return your phone calls either. Stay away at all risks!

When I loss my mom they made me feel comfortable. They were patient, kind, professional and very knowledgeable about the whole process. The Calahan staff prepared my mom so gracefully. She looked so great. She looked like she was sleeping and looked so peaceful. I would 100% recommend their services and if I ever need a funeral home the Calahan Funeral Home will be my choice hands down. Keep up the good work you guys are a great asset to the community. Also Ms. Smith, Mr. King and Ms. Baldwin are amazing. I loved working with them; they made me feel like family. Make sure to get the video tribute and their beautiful tribute blanket. If I could give negative stars, I would. PLEASE do not allow them to service your family in your time of need. My mother passed in December 2019, service was held January 2020 and cremains were not available until the service. No follow up at all. Fast forward to February 2021, we have been trying to have her death certificate updated because of several errors and made countless phone calls. I have received no follow up regarding this matter unless I have reached out directly. We have constantly been met with nonchalance and a lack of empathy, not to mention I am given different answers on each phone call. There is a lack of consistency and no one is taking accountability, but rather, continue to advise other entities are responsible and offer no assistance.

I was so displeased with the service I received. The customer service was awful, no respect, no compassion was given, my calls were never returned. The only compliment I can give is to the mortuary makeup artist that person made my beloved loved one look great. Everything else dealing with this funeral home was a complete miss. Including the ride back and forth from the cemetery, the driver was unprofessional as well. I received a letter today from their office manager stating my bill was paid in full. Really my bill was paid in full by me not the insurance 3 days prior to the service. I shredded that mess. Callahan's you must do better!

I will not recommend no one I mean no one to do business with this place! They are so unprofessional! They only care for themselves not the deceased family ! I were so unsatisfied with my brother service there! They do not ask you questions or what you would like and if you do tell them what you want or don't they still take matters into their own hands without asking your permission! Customer service is way BAD!!! NEVER AGAIN! I will send my love ones here!!

I was having a simple cremation for my brother. From the date he died 5/14/19 until 5/30/19, I waited for death certificates. My brother was cremated 5/23 and I had to INSIST he and the certificates be delivered yesterday. They asked if I could pick them up 5/31. The entire process was unnecessary, unsettling and aggravating. Their explanations were unacceptable for me.

The Calahan Funeral Home has buried all of my loss loved ones for the last 25+ years. All of the funerals I've personally experienced have been extremely professional and beautiful. Every person we've buried has had immaculate makeup/hair and the staff are incredibly nice, respectful, and accommodating. Their obituary services are intricate and accurate. Not to mention, the Calahan family also provides daily affirmation services for grieving after funerals. My mom has found the affirmations extremely helpful in her grieving process! This funeral home truly goes the extra mile to ensure families are cared for during and after the funeral of their loved one.

Our mother became physically limited and could not make decisions for her after life needs. We made an appointment with Mrs. Angela Susberry at Calahan Funeral Home for assistance and recommendation on how to proceed in this area. Mrs. Susberry was delightful, pleasant and very helpful in getting us through the planning process for mother's after life needs. My brother and sister were so impressed with how Mrs. Susberry helped our mother; they immediately paid for their after life plans. Thanks so much for assistance my family with making plans for after life care! I recommend Calahan Funeral Home to those who are seeking and are in need of compassionate guidance in making plans for your love ones. DO NOT EXPECT MUCH CUSTOMER SERVICE! DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING BEFORE READING AND ASKING QUESTIONS...as as many questions (especially about charges BEFORE signing)!!! They are ARROGANT, POMPOUS, AND RUDE!!! They will not work with you and only want your money! They do not return phone calls so face to face is best. If you want to be treated like a real INTELLIGENT human being rather than being made to feel inferior GO ELSEWHERE!!! I will never recommend them to anyone and definitely will never use them for any funeral services I need! HORRIBLE
