Caldera Brewery & Restaurant

Spring finally reared its gorgeous head, so it was time to grab a meal with outdoor seating. Caldera came to mind. Time to soak up the view of the hills and get a little sunshine. I’m not much of a beer snob—to me IPAs taste like the smelly rope you were forced to climb in 3rd grade gym class. Can’t comment too much on the selection (lots of IPAs), but I can say the menu made for an intriguing read. They had beers concocted with chocolate, toasted coconut, rose petals, hibiscus, and even Hatch chilis from New Mexico. I picked a nice stout to keep me company. I was impressed with the quality of our main course. We went with the truffle mac to share, and then the Baja fish sandwich (love the name). The noodles in the mac were done just right, firm and not falling apart, doing god’s work, carrying the rich and creamy truffle cheese. The fish was cooked beautifully—crisp and seasoned on the outside, flaky and glistening on the inside. The ingredients were all fresh and refreshing. If you’re looking for some quality pub food, come out and try it. ☀️ ⛰️🍻 Pro tip: if you love root beer, they make the best kind. Also available at local grocery stores. Low in sugar if you are watching your figure.

The fish and chips were flavorful and savory. Cooked well--crispy on the outside and flaky fish on the inside. The burger was also flavorful and juicy. Bun to burger ratio slightly off -- lots more burger than bun -- but that didn't stop us from eating all of it. Next to a Tesla Supercharger location--convenient to eat while charging.

This place always puts a smile on my face, anytime I head up to Washington state from SoCal I make it a point to stop here. It’s been a minute since I’ve visited however the truffle Mac and cheese is fantastic and the burger was juicy flavorful and fresh. Great brews in a relaxing atmosphere. Just what I needed after driving a few hundred miles

I don’t know why we have never noticed this place in the last 5 yrs driving to and from California quite often but glad we finally did. We were expecting the usual burger, wings and fries and beer of course, but ended up having surprisingly good meals for great prices for the quality of them and my husband enjoyed every beer on his flight. I had a delicious mocktail and the view of the mountains from the outdoor tables can’t be beat. We sat outside because of our dog, in a corner under the only heater they have. That was the only downside to the place, only having one choice to sit in a cold day with a dog, but I bet in the summer the outside seats are all amazing. The inside wasn’t as inviting to me as well. I was hoping for a more industrial brewery vibe but it feels like a regular restaurant inside and less like a brewery. But again that was the only downsides. There is a great fireplace that would totally benefit from some cozy chairs or sofas around it. That would be a nice vibe. I ate the Oregon Mushroom Alfredo with side of grilled chicken and crunch baguette slices. So delicious!! My husband had the lobster 5 cheeses grilled cheese Sandwich with fries and it was amazing! Comfort food as it’s best! The food and beers and service were outstanding! We will go back every time we drive through.

Great food, great service, excellent cocktails. I enjoyed the different brews/bottles on display. Even the flower pots were decorated with their bottle caps!

Food was good. Beer was ok. Was a busy Friday I’ll give it, but our server was gone long enough for me to forget what she looked like. My biggest gripe was I asked for nachos and she really wanted us to order our dinner with it. I said I wanted our nachos first and food after we were done with nachos. She said she had a button for that. I should have known better but she looked seasoned and maybe would be right. Nope. Got my food almost immediately after my nachos. In fact with the hot sauce it asked for with the nachos. No apologies. Too many good breweries 10 minutes up in Medford to waste time here. I would recommend.

Had a pit stop nearby to charge the car and decided the grab a bite and drink here. The chicken nuggets and tater tots are quite standard. Got the oatmeal stout which was nice. The place was a good spot for charging the car while eating and sipping. It's a pretty big place and plenty of drink options. I like that they have hard seltzers as well.

I am perplexed. The food tasted really good, but both my husband and I had to put in some time to prep our own meals. I ordered a salad and added buffalo chicken, which is an option on their menu. The waitress told me that the chicken is grilled, so I would likely get a side of sauce. Strange, but ok. I figured perhaps they didn't slice the chicken breast, so tossing the chicken wouldn't work well. False. The chicken was cut. No reason why they didn't toss the chicken. I had to dip each piece. The waitress came asking how everything tasted and I said I didn't know because I was prepping my salad. My husband ordered a chicken sandwich which is normally fried and asked for it to be grilled. The sandwich comes with ranch. It was served, you guessed it, on the side. Can this restaurant not have dressing/sauce on grilled chicken?! Our waitress was flaky. I asked her if they serve beer in smaller sizes, looking to get a smaller refill. She said yes and walked away. She came back later to refill our waters. She then pivoted to walk away and my husband said that he wanted a refill of his drink. She again went to walk away when I said I wanted a refill of the smaller size. She never said you're welcome. It felt like we were taking her time away from herself. If not for the weird food prep (we weren't paid to be sous chefs) and the waitress, I would likely rate this establishment as five stars, but I'm dinging two stars for the experience.

So they have the best jalapeño poppers - but now they don't have them. Let's all bother them so they bring them back - they were best. But they DO have tater tots, which are quite crispy, and it's surprisingly hard to find tater tots in this town! I've said it before, but I'll say it again, they have a really impressive selection of beers - so many different varieties and riffs within said varieties. And although they have a ton of mainstays they also always have a few experimental beers on tap, so there is something new for everyone. Open, large, friendly space with quick service.

The beers are good. The atmosphere is beautiful. The last two times we ate there, the servers had attitude that caused us to feel like we were bothering them. Last night our server was entirely unwilling to smile. We asked for one main dish to be split and they said they could bring us an extra plate. We asked if the kitchen could split it and she said they won't do that. The vegan bowl was a big disappointment to the two people who did share it. The fish and chips were also a disappointment. The fries were lukewarm and the fish was skimpy and felt like it had been sitting around for several hours. They were also out of several things because they said that since they are closed on Monday and Tuesday, they don't always have enough on Sundays. We have been coming to this restaurant since they opened and feel like the service and food has really gone downhill.

We stopped here for our last lunch in Oregon. My sister had been here a few years ago and enjoyed her visit. The view from the parking lot is lovely, and if it had been warmer, we might have sat outside to enjoy the scenery, instead we headed inside. The ambiance is groovy, with a gajillion beer bottles lining the walls. We were waited on promptly by Emily (thanks Emily!), who in addition to being prompt and courteous, also knew her way around the beer options. One thing I look for in a good microbrew is whether they are willing to take the time to create a good root beer as well. These folks have a delicious root beer that actually only has about a third of the sugar or commercial root beer. Yum. For lunch I had the Hungarian mushroom soup which was delicious, as well as pretzel nibs with their stone ground mustard. My companions had fish tacos (which she said were very fresh tasting, and the crema was delic), and a soup and sald combo with the beer cheese soup. All left with happy tummies. One of my companions also picked up a pair of beerings (earrings made from Caldera beer cans)- they are very cute and so colorful because this establishment clearly cares as much about the design of their cans as they do about the contents. They also had a wide variety of Caldera swag, but my suitcase is already full so no swag for me. I was delighted to learn, that you can actually buy their root beer from Amazon (as well as a flavored sparkling water that they haven't even finished creating yet!) All in all a delightful visit!

The food is great. The beer selection and quality are very good. The service is excellent. There is one problem. I often go to Caldera with a group of mostly unrelated friends. Most other restaurants will quite willingly give us separate checks. This is far more convenient than trying to split a single check that might be several hundred dollars. Making sure there is enough for tax and the tip is sometimes difficult. Since Caldera no longer will provide separate checks we will likely go to a different establishment in the future when we have a group of people. This will actually be pretty easy since every other restaurant that I have been to in the Rogue Valley is very willing to accommodate our need for separate checks. Caldera seems to have forgotten that they are in the hospitality business. They seem to be totally unmoved by our need for separate checks. There are a bunch of new eateries in nearby Talent that seem to appreciate our business.

Excellent quality food. Exceeded expectations for a brewery. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Root Beer is the best I ever had

Great food, and beer, of course. Had the salmon salad. Great quality. Helpful staff. Who knew they made great seltzers too?

TL;DR: great and wide variety of beers brewed in house, environment and service is midlevel but acceptable, but food consistently tastes like premade Sysco-brand mass produced food (eg, frozen French fries and tater tots, overly well done burgers, etc.) As a local I want to love this place and support it because the beer is high quality with lots of interesting and experimental varieties. But after repeat visits, taking many different visitors and trying many different foods, it's clear that the food is only passable. So I recommend stopping here for beer (happy hour?) and eating elsewhere.

We were looking for a quick lunch while in Ashland and Caldera came highly suggested. A spacious venue with some curated lunch items and fast order turns. Based on the display of different beer brands, I would expect this to be a grwatvhsppy hour destination. The staff was very friendly and took time to talk through guest favorites. A good option

For a local brewpub, WOW! It's a short walk from the Holliday Inn Express and adjacent to the V3 Tesla Superchargers. Okay, we're staying the night at the "inn." I earlier charged the Y. Recent Yelp reviews were a little mixed. Not for us! First service, from the hostess who showed us a sunny outdoor table to the indoor table. She was pleasant and flexible. Our server was just as friendly and helpful. The beer. I ended up having 2 pints of the Mosaic IPA. ..NUF SAID. We shared a house salad which was good. My wife had the seared ahi entrée with wasabi mashed potatoes. The ahi was, indeed, sashimi grade and perfectly seared. I ordered the Caldera burger medium rare with fries. While the burger was closer to rare, the taste of the meat was pleasant and tasteful. My only mild disappointment was the the fries were shoestring and I prefer regular cut. Later, my wife ordered the house watermelon sorbet. When asked, our server said the scoops were small, so she ordered two. Well, the scoops weren't small, but no problem because I ended up sharing. Why? Interestingly, the sorbet was the consistency of an ice, but the flavor was intense!! Watermelon is all about the flavor and this sorbet was superb! Really, intense sweet watermelon flavor without any hint of excess sweetness. So 5 stars on service and food. The facility? We were seated inside because I like sunshine in the shade. The dining room is large with very high hard ceilings, however, this was probably one of the least noisy brewpubs we've visited. Our survey of the outdoor seating. Great. Many of the tables are picnic style for a crowd and I can attest that a number of large parties took full advantage. The few tables in the shadier areas had nice views, well, all the tables had nice views. another 5 stars here!

Right up the street from where we were staying and we wanted to try a local brewery so it worked out really well. Big space, both inside and outside. Loved the huge open space inside and lots to occupy the eye (for instance we sat at a table with a mosaic of funny and cute cat pictures). I tried their beer cheese soup and mac and cheese, husband got the fried chicken sandwich. Both cheesy items were just the right amount of cheesy. Soup had good flavor without being too bitter or too chewy. The mac and cheese was good, though I wasn't really clear on what type of cheese/s it had. I also added bacon and it had LOTS of it. A bit more cook time on the bacon would have been perfect. Husband said he really liked the chicken sandwich and tots that it came with. We also got talked into the brownie with vanilla ice cream for dessert (wasn't too hard a sell honestly). Very yummy! Not overly chocolatey, as it is made with a stout beer. The seasonal fruit was a few grapes artfully cut up and drizzled with three different sauces. We were quite happy. Our server was very nice (I forget her name) and friendly, and even though she was clearly pulled in a lot of directions, she wasn't frazzled. I didn't try the beer but I really enjoyed their huckleberry lemonade seltzer.

I've been to this place twice when I visited Oregon, and I have to say, the food is really yummy. We tried a bunch of different burgers like the Bean Burger, the taphouse burger, the growler burger, and even the fish sandwich. And let me tell you, all of them were amazing! They didn't let us down at all. One thing that caught my eye was the cool decorations on the walls. They had beers from all around the world. It was really neat to see. And of course, you gotta try their own brewed beers. They're something special and definitely worth a taste.

Excellent food and beer! I had the fish tacos and I was impressed. They were fresh and tasty, and the mosaic beer was really good. I highly recommend and Brice was a great server. Probably ones of the nicest servers I've ever had!

Best burgers in town! and the gluten free buns are AMAZING! Such an Ashland gem, always enjoy coming here.

We came to town for college basketball and stumbled upon Caldera's being close to the hotel. Drinks, soup, burgers, fish and chips, mushroom fettuccine...delicious. Fresh and full of their own flavors. So good, we came back a second time in parties of 6-8 and they were great with service, checking on us and again no one was dissatisfied with their food. Awesome ambiance, very comfortable feeling. Family lives close by and I'm sure they will frequent the place now. I'll be back eventually.

Caldera in Ashland, Oregon, was once a cherished favorite, especially with its roots dating back to the tap house on the creek in downtown Ashland. However, post-pandemic, there's been a noticeable decline in quality. While it remains a solid dining choice, the charm and excellence that long-time patrons fondly remember seem to have diminished. Despite the changes, it still holds its own, making it a viable option for those seeking a familiar taste of the past. Beer is delightful as always, no changes there, and that is the one factor that keeps us coming back.

Food and service were good - nothing stood out but nothing was bad. The burger was good; the pork tacos were delicious; the mushroom pasta was eh.

I have tried Calderas a handful of times and I wanted to give it a good effort but it has fallen short. For one, when I went the service was extraordinarily slow, we waited almost an hour and 15 minutes after ordering our meal before it came, and 4 of the 6 orders were salads. Plus, they seemed to be out of stock of a decent amount of various items. The food is also not very flavorful, the burgers were not very seasoned and it felt like it didn't rise to the standard of a restaurant. Additionally, their beer and craft drinks are not much to write home about either. Lastly, sometime within the last year they removed their beautiful grass outdoor seating with tables and corn hole to put in additional parking (and even then there is hardly any parking available).

Some really good beer. I think I rated 5 out of the 6 I tried on my vacation as a 4 (out of 5) or higher. The food wasn't special, but above average and the service was great. Would eat there again and definitely buy their beer when I see it.

The food was exceptional! The service was mediocre... and a growler fill which we've never paid more than $10 for was $21 plus an additional two dollars because it was considered a premium beer. So if you're going to do a growler fill, ask before they pour it. There were no prices posted anywhere.

When I lived in Ashland 3 years ago we would frequent Caldera very often. The food was great, the service was always excellent. But I went back yesterday and it just wasn't the same. Service was sub-par. The food was- eh. So much of the food used to be homemade, they had these incredible garlic fries, which I noticed were not longer on the menu, and it didn't seem as busy as they used to be. I looked forward to visiting Caldera again, but was disappointed. I understand times change, Covid changed a lot of things for a lot of businesses, and that restaurants need to do things to make prices better, but change what you need- just don't change the quality of the food.

If it were a breezy summer afternoon, this would be a great place to grab a beer on the patio. But it wasn't. For a meal, I'd pass. The ordering system is broken. You either go outside to order from someone or use the QR code that didn't work the first 4 times I tried using it. Navigating the menu to order is clunky. Other than the food runner, service was inattentive and slow. Most disappointing though was the meal, itself. The burgers were overcooked, there was way too much shredded lettuce that was room temperature and limp (I think it was dressed with oil?) and the French fries weren't hot (they weren't cold but definitely not hot). My husband liked the beer but that's the only positive we can give, unfortunately.

Needed a place to stop for dinner on our way back to Portland. Menu looked awesome online and the food was ok to good (6/10), beer was meh although lots of choices - maybe because it was so hot and if the beer isn't cold it just doesn't do it. The service was good until the end when it took forever to get the check. We just didn't have the time to wait around for 15 mins after eating - recommend asking for check after you order if you're in a rush.

Great food and drinks! Visited when nearby for a conference. The staff was very amenable to our large group and provided great service. My kids love their Root Beer!

Very large selection of beers on tap to try! Typical bar food with some pasta options. The beer battered fish was nice and crispy. I would say their fries were the tastiest thing we tried. It probably has MSG in it! Service was friendly but nothing spectacular. Eclectic decor as seen by the pics with all the beer bottles on the walls.

Visited on a Wednesday ~2pm (HAPPY HOUR until 5pm). We figured we'd skip the lunch rush and maybe find a deal; the Happy Hour Menu was *eh*, basically starch w/ sauces. Nothing special, skipped the happy hour menu *yawn* I'm guessing that they may utilize the online ordering QR code thing during lunch rush? I saw the placard on the table, but it was a non-issue and we received personalized service today *thumbs up* Our server was pleasant and efficient. Our server was visibly busy, but once at our booth, she was welcoming, detailed-oriented, comfortably attentive and we never felt rushed. We actually stayed for a RIDICULOUSLY LONG WHILE (2-3hrs) and although we were done eating/ordering, we NEVER felt rushed to leave *we tipped generously* and made sure we were not taking up space (noting multiple open tables available between lunch/dinner). This is a PERFECT SPOT to grab some food, taste some beers and enjoy the view! They were out of a specific IPA today and based on my other 4 choices... the server recommended one of my NEW FAVORITES "Experimental IPA"! Not yet mass produced, but on tap if you happen to be local and stop in SOON *thumbs up* The burger was fine, the shoestring fries made in-house were surprisingly good! Everything tasted fresh and the burger was a-ok (no leftovers). I like that they stepped up the burger bun, it was noticeably higher quality, held the mayo, never got soggy and somehow remained soft and didn't feel at all heavy after the meal *YAY* IF you are on a road trip, don't hesitate stopping by here for a meal; this food will NOT cause you to make additional stops on your journey ;) Beer Sampler: Pilsener Bier 5.2% (light german beer) Caldera IPA 6.1% Mosaic IPA 6.5% Experimental IPA Mogli Chocolate Porter *just always say YES to this dessert!

There is good food and beer here. I had a hibiscus ginger beer with lunch and it was awesome. The sliders have pickled onions which really compliments the bbq pork. And the pretzel bun puts it over the top. The spicy chicken sandwhich is indeed spicy but not over welming. It is at a chicken wing level. The fish stew I was excited about and it did have a fresh ocean smell but I didn't see a lot of sea food in it. I still happily ate on. The stew was seasoned well.

1star for ambiance, 1 star for cleanliness, 1 star for beer but the food falls short of quality for me. French fries are priced to reflect the high rent but not quality at $9, everything else I've tried is similarly poor--flat bread, pretzels, wings. Go for the beer, stay for the ambiance, leave to get food elsewhere. Service was okay (kinda awkward, joking about upsells, lingering at the table, didn't add to or facilitate our enjoyment).

I had the burger slider and was charged $1 for BBQ sauce. I think the server should have notified me of extra charge. That always strikes me as dishonest. The burger was OK. The fries were served cold. I tried 4 different beers and none of them agreed with me but that's just personal preference. I had high hopes of liking this place but was sorely disappointed. Just wasn't my cup of tea. Don't plan on returning. Also. There was a tax on the bill, in Oregon? I just don't like dishonesty. Be honest. Be transparent. Serve the food when hot. Just staples of restaurant ingredients. Get with it folks.

Caldera Brewery is a nice spot for food and drinks. The one down side is that to order anything, they require you to make an online account with them, which means saving a payment card, and ordering all online. In addition to this, there isn't anyone readily available to answer questions about the menu or beers. My parents who are 60 did not like this method, at all. I believe if I was not there to order for our family, that they would have left. I would highly recommend that Caldera switch over to a QR card menu. This would make it a bit more friendly for all patrons. Besides this, I enjoyed the pizza and beer. I got one of the sours, and it was delicious. Furthermore, one of our pizzas came out burnt, and Caldera made us a new one. Caldera is worth a visit. Decide and let me know what you think.

Delicious food and drink just off I-5 in Ashland Oregon. (And steps away from the Hilton Inn Express & Suites). The food is fresh and tasty, the drinks are refreshing, and it's close to gas, lodging and the interstate. Plus it's super cute and clean. What more could you ask for? We love this place!

We arrived about 6PM on a Thursday as a party of 8 and sat at one of the large picnic tables outside. The scenery was lovely, as always, and was accompanied by a warm breeze blowing from the west. They did seem a little busier than I expected for a Thursday evening, so we were patient as we waited for a server. When she arrived some time later to take our drink orders, I ordered their house-made root beer. Somewhere between 25 and 30 minutes later one of our party went into the bar and had to remind the server that we still had not received our beverages. The beverages came out about 3 minutes later. I found the root beer to be a delicious flavor, though unfortunately it tasted a bit watered down and didn't have much carbonation - what a shame since the flavor was so nice. Around 5 minutes later our server returned to take our meal orders. Nearly everyone in our party ordered a burger and fries. Our food arrived 40 minutes later. Yes, 40 minutes. Everyone cut their burgers in half with the supplied steak knife and found that their meat was medium-rare, at best. Several of us enjoy a medium-rare hamburger, myself included. However, the food was cold, the meat inside the burger was cold, and there was far too much "red" for several of our party to eat their burgers. I touched the hamburger inside of mine and found it to be the same temperature as the top of the bun - room temperature. We had been waiting to eat for well over an hour at this point. So, in desperation, several of the guests pulled out their cold, undercooked meat, put it aside on their plate, and proceeded to eat half of their burger as a cold, meatless, veggie sandwich. Every person at our table (except one) left the other half of their burger untouched on their plate. When the server returned some 30 minutes later with the check (the first time we'd seen her since our food arrived) I mentioned how disappointing our hamburgers were. She apologized and retrieved the owner. He looked over our table, saw our plates with 1/2 of a hamburger on each one, and said "So, no one liked their hamburgers?" When we revealed why we were disappointed, he explained "I grabbed those out of the window myself as soon as they were put up there. They shouldn't be cold." Nevertheless, he apologized and said he would make it right on our bill. And to his credit, he did remove nearly half of our bill - very commendable. After 10 more minutes one of us still had to go inside and find our server and ask them to run the card. Now, I can understand an unexpectedly busy evening service. I can even understand being short on waitstaff. But sending out cold food, not asking if guests are ok with undercooked meats, and hearing excuses as to how our complaints shouldn't be true - that's several steps too far. I'm afraid this is the last time we'll eat at Caldera. Drink? Yes. Eat? No. The fries were tasty though.

Caldera has long been a favorite of mine (and my wife's). They have a lovely facility, offer good deals on carry out, and make a killer IPA. A perfect all around IPA. I haven't bought a six pack of this fine beer in over a year ALL DUE to the fact that Caldera is (I think) the ONE brewer in the state still using these nasty plastic beer holders (see the photo)... Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but these flimsy six-pack holders are FAMOUS for getting into waterways and finding their way around the necks of turtles & other aquatic species. It's a travesty when cardboard boxes and those hard plastic (REUSABLE) holders have been in use for years now, but Caldera has to save a few pennies while saying 'screw off' on the environmental front. C'mon, Caldera. How hard is it to be responsible?

When you are a "brewery" and you pour someone half foam, the customer politely asks you for less foam and you proceed to tell them you can "scoop it out" when they are really asking you for A full glass of beer.. does this look like a full glass to anyone? Wow, you are really that stingy huh, multi million dollar facility and you can't even pour your customers a proper glass... That's Ashland for ya! That's Caldera for ya..

Stopping through and in need of good beer and good food. They delivered on both and the service was bomb to boot!! I had the soup/salad combo (vegan hatch green chili was their soup) and hubs did the mahi mahi tacos. My cup of soup and salad were perfect portions and the tacos were bigger than expected, but definitely tasty. Our beertender was wonderful and the folks bussing the tables were awesome. If we're ever in Ashland again, we'll be back!!

Dog friendly and convenient for I-5 travelers. Nice variety of food choices and were done just right. Some of the best fries but when the tater tots went by, wanted those instead (next time). Great service too!

The food was very good and fresh. I had the Beer Cheese soup, which was awesome. My husband had the Fish tacos which were fresh and tasty. My husband liked the beer. I had their homemade root beer, which was also very good. We'll definitely come back when we're in Ashland.

Love this place. Josh and Asher are AWESOME! Amazing beer selections. The mustard with the pretzel bites is delicious. They really need to bottle and sell it. We had a great time here, wonderful atmosphere, tasty treats, and spectacular drinks. Thank you so much for the memorable experience.

I was on vacation through Klamath Falls and found one of their sodas- an absolutely fantastic ginger beer- and realized the brewery was in a perfect spot to visit later on my route. I'm glad I ended up following that label. The restaurant is situated on a slight hill with a great view of the rest of the area. The atmosphere both indoors and outdoors was friendly and welcoming, seemingly made by and for beer lovers. The food was well worth the price, and their craft sodas were some of the best I've tasted. The other members of my party, of legal age, attest to similar quality in their wide selection of beers. Asher, our server, was incredibly kind and accommodating. Our food (and to-go cans) came quickly without any sort of issue. I was struggling with food poisoning I'd gotten a previous day, and Asher was kind enough to provide me some of their fantastic ginger beer. This sort of care and kindness seems indicative of a general quality of staff, for which I am extremely grateful. A great stop for quality food and drink.

After having a bad food experience with another local eatery, we tried here. Had their flat pizza. It had micro greens,feta,grapes. I can't remember all the toppings, but it was tasty for being kinda small for its price point. Also got their root beer. Not bad, refreshing and also low on the sugar. Also I think we got a burger which was juicy but also kinda small. And too small side salad with ranch. All the food was really good for the small portions, yet we were delightfully satisfied. Would order again. Curb side pick was easy to do.

Love the atmosphere with the beer bottles lining the walls. The beer is a great, the wait staff is pleasant and engaging. The food is just ok.

Caldera is usually the first place we stop when heading into Oregon. They have a great selection of beers and typically great food. When we stopped this time there were plenty of tables outside but you had to call up their menu and then go inside to order. There was quite a long line to order and some confusion for some who weren't sure where to start. We almost always order their pizza and did this time. We ordered the Margarita pizza because of a limited selection. The beers were good as usual and the staff brought the food out pretty quickly but the pizza just didn't taste as good as usual. They seemed to be short staffed (probably not their fault as many people seem to be waiting to go back to work). Hopefully once everything is back to normal (whatever that is) all things will be great again.

We ordered the chicken sandwich for lunch and it was wonderful with the pineapple and bean sprouts. The beer was good too. My husband loved the toasted coconut chocolate porter. Said was the best one he has ever had!

I've left a few reviews for this place. Once upon a time this was the go-to place for fish and chips. Used to be superb. Today... meh! Fish was mushy, coating was oil-soaked and almost burnt. Server looked at me like a deer in the headlights when I asked if I could sub out the fries. No she said... only tater tots. She just stared at me while I decided not offering any suggestions. Fries were good. Slaw was bitter. I guess we can blame COVID.

Our food was delicious and the service was great - what else can. you ask for? My only criticism is that the house cocktail i ordered (the oregon) was more of a soda than a cocktail, someone could have given me that drink and told me there was no alcohol in it whatsoever and i'd have believed them because it was weak at.
