10 Best Atlanta Restaurants and Bars for Mexican Food and Margaritas | Eater

"No trip to Athens is complete without a stop at Cali N Tito’s. This is the second outpost, but it’s larger and sells booze. Like the original spot, the decor is eclectic — think mermaids and stars hanging from the ceiling and a courtyard fountain in the middle of the restaurant — and it’s impossible not to have fun. When it comes to the tacos, the fish tacos get the most talk with crispy tilapia, cabbage, and a spicy chipotle mayo. Pair it with a frozen mango margarita and you’ll have won Taco Tuesday." - Vox Creative

Cali N Tito’s is a fantastic spot with a laid-back, vibrant atmosphere. The indoor picnic tables, painted with different country flags, add a cool international vibe. Service is simple—they bring your food out after you order and pay at the counter. Be prepared for a bit of a wait during peak hours, but it’s absolutely worth it. The menu offers plenty of delicious options, and the food is consistently great. There’s lots of indoor and outdoor space to enjoy, making it a perfect place to relax. Just make sure you’re comfortable with parallel parking! Overall, an amazing experience with great food and friendly service.

One of the best decor I've seen in any Mexican restaurant. The atmosphere felt very authentic. The food was delicious, I got the chicken fajita which came with a side of fries and that I found interesting. The fajita was good but just a tad salty compared to the sides. The service was a bit slow but they were kind and helpful. Also had the Strawberry mango margarita and it was ok.

Cali N Tito’s is far from us but it's one of those spots that we always visit when in the area, especially with family and friends. It looks pretty normal from the outside but the inside is explosive and over the top! Tons of decor, especially around Halloween when the decorations go all out! This place doesn’t do table service, so you order at the register and grab a seat but if there’s only one person taking orders, the line can get long. But at the table you can still pay or grab extras pretty easily. But it's not all looks because the food's awesome too! BUT first, sadly the chips and salsa aren't free, which c'mon guys 🤦‍♂️ Now the chicharron with yuca is probably the best thing on the menu. Insanely flavorful and crispy. I got it as an app for the table, there's only a few yuca fries but there's a lot of pork, more than enough for an entree. The churrasco (skirt steak) is super tender and loaded with flavor. Recently tried their fish burrito with grouper and sweet plantains which sounds odd but tastes amazing! It comes with a pink sauce (ketchup + mayo + ?) too. As for drinks, they have Jarritos in every flavor, horchata that’s really good, super refreshing, and they also have frozen margaritas though the lime one was just okay and kind of small. Overall, it's one of our favorite spots, really fun with great food but be careful because some of the benches are awkwardly low D: Oh, they also have quarter rides for kids or drunk adults!

This place gets absolutely packed so plan accordingly unless you don't mind waiting in line and looking for tables. The place is gigantic but it truly gets so busy (see pictures) so just be ready if you hit this spot on a crowded time frame. The inside is unlike any other restaurant with plants and decorations everywhere. Their menu is a fun/different menu and the food is delicious. After I ate here I heard they have the BEST tortas and Cubano sandwiches so a second visit will need to happen soon. There is no sitting down and being served on. You get in line and order up front and wait for your food to be called up. The staff is friendly but busy so it felt fast. It's a fun place so be sure to check it out and let me know what you think!! Edit on July 23rd 2025: Old photos don't do this place and space justice. It can get PACKED on the weekends and for dinner but otherwise it's a very pleasant environment. Weekday lunch menu uploaded

Very interesting and refreshing experience. Cubano Milano was good but chicken was a little dry. Great bread though and overall a good experience.

Everything we have tried has been delicious. I think the steak salad is a great value. Order it with a little bit of the salsa verde for some extra flavor.

Delicious food, and fun atmosphere! We came the weekend after Thanksgiving and enjoyed the Christmas decorations and live music. Prices were reasonable and everything we ordered tasted amazing!

Google
The fish burrito and strawberry shake was so good!! Also the fried yucca was great. 10/10 experience and highly recommend!

Yelp
This place is one of the gems of Athens, at either location (although the east side one is much more accessible, as they have a much larger parking lot). I always get the Cuban Especial sandwich, but everything else I've tried is also praise-worthy. The decor is delightfully over the top, especially at Halloween. Where do they store all the giant monsters in the off-season? A great mystery. Cali n' Tito's boasts great flavors and fun atmosphere, and it's almost always packed, for good reason.

Yelp
Food was very tasty, but quantities are small for the prices. Try the Chaufa (fried Rice) and the Seafood Lo Main. Service: Non existent. Order at the counter, they bring it to your table, never to return. Leftovers to take away?!? Don't even think about it Ambiance: It's Supposed to be Peruvian, Cuban...err..it's actually "Confusingly" Folkloric! I recommend this restaurant..the food is tasty!!

Yelp
Definitely an Athens staple and one of my favorite places to go! The ambiance is truly one of a kind and such a fun environment. I can't complain about the service because I went during prime time on a Saturday so the line was quite long and we had to wait about 30 minutes for our food. The food was worth the wait per usual and I have no complaints. The steak Cubano and fish burrito are too tier!

Yelp
I've been going to CnT for about 10 years now and it hits every time. I literally don't have a bad experience. Every time there's a mishap or something they always make it right. The food is amazing, even the wings are delicious. The decorations at this location are super cool and makes the experience fun.

Yelp
Cali n Tito's was my favorite restaurant while I was a college student in Athens, and it's the only restaurant I come back to eat at whenever I'm in town. Years ago, I used to frequent both locations and always brought visitors to try it. I bragged on Cali n Tito's to all my friends. They have such a diverse menu, and there's so many different things you can try. I've yet to eat something I didn't like, but my personal favorites are the Cuban sandwich (steak, chicken, or chorizo- all of them are good), fish tacos, or the fish burrito. And of course, I love finishing off my meal with the churro and ice cream for dessert. Coming back after years of being away, I will say I've noticed a huge jump in their prices. They have lunch specials which include a side and drink with your entree for a slightly better price than at dinner. But, I still found it to be very expensive for a college town especially, but also for a lunch special. Maybe it's because I remember how much it used to cost though. I also noticed portion sizes are significantly smaller than before. However, maybe out of sentimental value, I don't mind it so much and would still come back to eat here any time I'm in town. The food is still so good and one of a kind. I love the sauce that they include for the Cuban sandwiches and fish taco/burrito. You can always ask for more sauce on the side and they don't charge you. Their fries are cooked perfectly. They're actually one of my favorite fries. The restaurant itself is spacious with plenty of seating and spread apart from others so you get your privacy. There's also plenty of parking.

Yelp
The outside looks like a place you would see in PCB. Cute, personable and different. Walking in it reminded me of my local norcross Spanish flea market. The marking strategy on this bad boy is well put. They threw things on the wall but things that work well. I've been to multiple restaurants where they try that strategy and it looks tacky. Not here. It's a vibe. The service: it's a pay and order first and they bring the food. There's no waitress/er, so if you're waiting for sauces and/or drinks best believe you'll have to get up and speak up about it. The food: the food was flavorful and a huge variety. From Cuban, Peruvian, Salvadoran, and more. The drinks: this is the SPOT for good drinks. They have a full bar but they cater more to the list of drinks they have. It's a spot worth checking out in the area. Unique and tasteful.

Yelp
This is my second time coming here and it was just as fun as the first time. They are all decked out for Halloween, so it is definitely an interesting place to visit. You stand in line and order at the counter. They give you your drinks and a number and you find a table. Your food is brought out to your table. I had the original Cubano this time and my son had the steak Cubano. I also had the steak Cubano last time I was there. Both are good but I think the steak one is more flavorful. This is the place to come for good food and a really fun time eating. My son is in school at UGA and it is one of his favorite places to dine.

Yelp
Food: - empanadas were a good size and solid. They did not have chorizo and found the beef and chicken kind of plain--wish they had some with a little more flavor - Queso was great and had a kick to it. Tiny tiny portion. Service: - did not fill our basket of chips very full but did come around to refill it. It is an order at the window so service is not a huge component Ambiance: - love the decoration and plenty of seating
google avatar

Yelp
My first experience in this restaurant, let's start with what was good, the guava empanadas were good. The Cuban we ordered somehow had jalapenos on it not supposed to come without jalapenos. The burger that was ordered not only came out dry overcooked but did not have the jalapenos on it they were supposed to be on it ( The menu states that it has jalapenos ) The other items or just bland I don't think I'll be making a second trip.

Yelp
Cali N Tito's is one of my favorite places to go in Athens. The ambiance here is really special as they have great decorations and plenty of seating inside and a nice outdoor area too. The line can get long at times but they have some pretty fast service so you won't be waiting too long. The food here is amazing. I have always gotten the Arroz Chaufa because if I'm there I can't pass up the opportunity to miss it, but I'm sure the other food here is great. I love the plantains and the spicy habanero sauce which comes with it and for the price it's a great value. When in Athens I'm always sure to take a visit to Cali N Tito's and you should too!

Yelp
fun cuban place! when i first walked in i was not expecting what i saw. big open space with fun decors everywhere. you order up front and find your seat after. food was delicious! we all loved our choices! would def come back cause there were so many options to choose from.

Theresa N.

Yelp
We visited this restaurant twice in 3 days! Obviously, because of the food. Service was good for the large number of people they were serving. Most impressive is the ambience! Inside the restaurant you feel like you're outdoor. That is a lot of natural light, high ceiling, lots plants. Decor is wonderful! A must visit if you're in the area. A totally different vibe than their other location.

Yelp
The food was great (highly recommend the fish tacos and fries with pink sauce). I love the eclectic decor, and all the lights they currently have up during the holidays. Just FYI, this location does NOT do BYOB like the 5 Points location (but they do have a full bar). No complaints about the service; they were happy to answer questions. Great place for groups and parties.

Yelp
Huge spot with great food. Upon arriving there was a line (counter service) but not too bad. I was really irritated about the hanging menus here as I found it hard to read and stand especially as the line moved. Then I learned they were clipped up so you could take them (palm to forehead). Totally on me. The cashier was a bit stand offish (she made a big deal when I asked for no sugar in a mojito) but all other staff were very warm. Maybe not her day. They don't have a skinny margarita so I did opt for the mojito as I said. It was good but not worth the price I believe. Their house margaritas looked like a hit as did their speciality and frozen ones. Tons of potential there! The chips and salsa was great- fresh and plentiful. I got the tilapia salad add avocado and it was a hit. Lovely greens and ripe avocado. Nice dressing. The tacos looked good too. The place is huge. Probably good for games and events/gatherings- both big and small. It was a bit overwhelming inside as they have a ton of quarter driven kids rides and weird giant moving holiday decor. Love the kid friendly atmosphere but it's a bit busy for me. Overall, great food and a fun atmosphere that's welcoming to all. Cheers to that!

Mary B.

Yelp
Good food, really fun atmosphere. The prices are also good. Will return when we are back in Athens
google avatar

Kellis N.

Yelp
A local Mexican spot that's not only filling, the atmosphere is filled with character and charm. The steak cubano was packed with steak along with the burrito. The tostanos were crispy (a bit of a bummer that there was only 3), as well as the yuca, and potatoes fries. The limeade helped cut the heaviness of the meat along with the sauces.

Yelp
When I walked in, where were so many tables which is a plus for me!! The place was so large, it left me surprised. So if y'all haven't been here, you order at the register and they'll bring you your food to your table. The menu is mostly in English, but some parts were in Spanish. And for someone who doesn't understand a lot of Spanish, it was a bit hard but the cashier was super nice about it and laughed. The food came out pretty fast and was really good. I got the al pastor quesadilla with fries and a drink. The fries were super crispy and were not like any other fries I've ever had. Overall, I would definitely come back here!! Service and quality did not disappoint !!!

Rick E.

Yelp
All vegetarian party, all vegetarian orders, they brought us dishes with meat hidden inside. We left. Yuck. Never coming back.

Yelp
Fun with good food! This place was all we expected and more. Took a large group after a volleyball tournament and everyone was pleased. We waited a bit to order in line but then the food came to the table so fast. Very fresh ingredients and amazing taste. I would definitely recommend the margaritas and chips with queso.
google avatar

Shannon S.

Yelp
The memories that flooded into my mind after one taste of the beef empanadas reminded me of my Puerto Rican Grandmother's homemade empanadas. The empanadas were flaky on the outside and the beef filling was extremely flavorful. It's easy to see that lots of love has gone into their recipes. Upon arrival, expect to wait in line where you will place your order and then seat yourself. We arrived with a large group. Several of our friends went to the bar and ordered drinks including beer, margaritas (lime was the best!) and the pina coladas were tasty! If you are in a smaller group, I would definitely hit the bar before standing in line to order your food. Seating has endless options including a beautiful patio outside. The atmosphere is a lot of fun and includes great music, twinkle and neon lighting, tropical plants and trees, and a beautiful fountain water feature. We had a variety of the menu items including chips and Queso, chips and pico (with chunks of avocado- so good!), chicken and beef empanada, guava and cheese empanadas, fish tacos, tostones, burritos and milanesa. The talipa on the fish taco was grilled perfectly! The Guava and Cheese desert empanadas were incredibly unique and delicious! The Queso was one of my favorite cheese dips that I've ever tasted. The staff was friendly and offered advice on ordering. This Latin flare is a must visit in Athens. This is by far one of my favorite places with an incredible selections of food and beverage in a college town. Give it a try! You will NOT be disappointed.

Yelp
This place is amazing. With its eccentric set up and decoration, it is definitely a trendy and cool place. The cashier was sweet and the servers gave us no complications. In fact, they gave us free refills on our chips and salsa. The food was delicious. I was hesitant because when I was reading the menu, nothing at the time struck me as appealing. But I got a Mexican Burger and coconut jugo. It was delish and very filling. I couldn't even finished my dish. My comrades along with me enjoyed their food as well. Definitely would come back!

Danny ..

Yelp
The food is always great. I couldn't give it five stars because although the decor is fun and interesting, it is hard for me to give a restaurant a 5 when you get water from a spigot. It's fine for the atmosphere they are going, but I would prefer they had a soda fountain.
google avatar

Gratia C.

Yelp
Sooooo much fun! Food sooo good! Employees and family members working here, such good attitudes and great smiles. Food is fresh and delicious. Staff goes out of their way to provide service. Lucky crowd of families , and couples. Decor lots of fun. Complimented the owner and he was super nice and genuine. We don't live nearby but we will be back!
google avatar

Valerie L.

Yelp
Very unique spot. From the time you enter the parking lot , until you leave. Great atmosphere. The line is pretty long, and the girl ringing orders pretty slow. So that made sense as to why the line was long. Loved the habanero salsa. All of the food was pretty great. Exception, Mexican cebiche, too much corn. Yuca frites, inconsistently chopped and, therefore, cooked. Wouldn't order either again, personally. The Mexican cebiche was very refreshing. Just too much corn for me. Love their beans, white rice, and the burrito was pretty great. Guava margarita was tasty. Pitcher is mostly ice, go with a cup. Not too sweet or too much lemon for our group. A nice balance.

Yelp
An Athens local's favorite!! Every time I go to Athens, I crave their cubano sandwich - it's that iconic. This location is particularly fun and a cool contrast to their other location on South Lumpkin. The South Lumpkin spot is small and gives you local restaurant vibes (think bringing your family there on a Sunday), but this location is humongous and almost a different vibe (think coming here with friends on a Friday night) - it's dark inside and there's music and cool decorations all around. There's plenty of designated parking outside too. Only downsides is that there isn't cell service inside for some reason, and it can get pretty loud so you might have trouble having conversation. Also this isn't a place that you can make reservations for, so always come earlier than you think - lines can be really long to order and it can be hard to find a table, even though it's a big space. After you order, they give you your number and water cups to fill from the tap above barrels around the store, and you grab your own napkins too. The food itself is *chef's kiss* and never disappoints. It tastes the same every time. My personal favorites are the steak cubano and the arroz chaufa. The fries and the maduros are fantastic. You get a better bang for your buck if you come here during lunch - lunch prices include a drink and a side. Not sure if they still have this, but I also remember there being an ice cream stand inside to the side that sold popsicles. Grabbing a bite at Cali n Tito's is a non-negotiable when you're in Athens!

Yelp
I may have done a review years ago, but we went there again this weekend and it's simply outstanding food. Great atmosphere, clean, great staff....very helpful. Sandwiches are just great, I had the cubano (? spelling ?) with steak. Very reasonably priced. Wish we had one in Savannah, GA!!! We'll be back.
google avatar

Dymond F.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE this spot. The inside is spacious, the music is great, and the service is fast. I love how you order your food upon entry and sit down to wait for it vs just sitting and getting served the traditional way. I tried 2 different bar drinks and both were good. Packed with a punch & inexpensive! The food is seasoned to perfection, the fries were so good didn't even need ketchup... that says ALOT! All in all if you haven't been, put this spot on your list to try and it's a guarantee you'll be hooked.
google avatar

Danielle P.

Yelp
The food is great. The service is usually good. But ordering To Go orders at this location is pointless. What do you mean I have to wait in line at the bar behind 15 other people who can place regular orders, when I called ahead? Now my food is cold. It's absurd. If you're placing a takeout order, I would not do it here.

Song K.

Yelp
I used to frequent this place but recently the quality and quantity has gone down and the price has gone up. $16 for lunch for a small fish burrito and measly three pieces of maduros. I had to ask for the drink that came with the combo. No thanks, I get better value and food from other places.
google avatar

Izza F.

Yelp
We went on a Saturday for lunch and altho it was quite empty, the service was a bit slow. The food came out amazing tho. I had the fish burrito and i'm still dreaming about it a week later ha! The ambiance looks fun. Colorful. I bet it's more fun in the evenings. Can't wait to go back and order a different food.

Robert L.

Yelp
Didn't know what to expect so was very surprised. Good food and environment. Stop in for good food and eclectic place

Yelp
One of the best spots to eat at in athens. Amazing sandwiches and limeade. The atmosphere and staff give off a fun and welcoming aura.

Yelp
my boyfriend and I went for our anniversary and got recommended this place for mexican food. was it worth the drive? YES! the burrito was super good and great for leftovers!

Yelp
As you're pulling up to the parking lot, you'll notice that this restaurant has the tropical ambience down packed. There are palm trees everywhere and colorful decor playfully scattered around. The building itself is brightly colored and unlike the others in the area. You know the inside will be fun, but once you walk in, it's like nothing you could've anticipated. There's high ceilings, tables everywhere, a fountain in the middle, and lots and lots of decorations. It feels like you're in a lively plaza at night that's buzzing with people and music. You place your orders at the counter, and they'll bring your food to you. My friend and I showed up around 6 PM on a Sunday, and the line to order took about 15 minutes. As we ate, the line got longer, so I'd recommend getting there early. We got steak cubanos, chips & queso, and a frozen watermelon margarita. The steak cubano was delicious. The bread is soft and a little crispier on the outside, and the sauce brings everything together. You can ask for extra jalapeños if you're looking for more spice. The queso was runnier than I'm used to, but the flavor was great. It also came with a small cup of salsa. The margarita was tasty and not overly sweet. I want to try the guava one next time. Even though I was pretty hungry, and the cubano was so good, eating half of it made me full, and I ended up taking the other half to-go. It's a pretty hefty sandwich for only ~$7! I'd highly recommend visiting this restaurant. Though the cubano is a must-have, the rest of the menu has a lot to offer too. Plus, it's not everyday that you get transported to a completely different place while you're eating.

Yelp
Delicious food and great atmosphere. I love the staff at CNT- everyone is always very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend their Peruvian ceviche.

Yelp
This is my favorite place to bring when I have guests visiting the city. I have been coming here for 4 years and have never gotten a steak cubano that has disappointed me. I love the vibe in this restaurant and how there is an endless amount of interesting decorations. For birthdays, they have a a traditional Chinese lion dance costume coupled with drums played for the special occasion. I will keep coming here every time I visit Athens!

Yelp
I love the atmosphere and food at Cali N Tito's. It's my local getaway. The staff are always friendly and service is good.
google avatar

Helena M.

Yelp
Cali N Tito's is definitely an Athens must if you're in town! I ordered take out on a Friday night and my food was ready in no more than 25 minutes. This location is always really good on their serving time! I was tempted to sit inside because of the lively atmosphere! I ordered one chicken empanada and it was 10/10! I'm normally a beef empanada kinda girl but this has definitely made me change my mind. It was stuffed just enough, but still had the crispiness that I feel like is important in a good empanada. I cannot come to Cali N Tito's without order maduros, and much as I had suspected it was so good! Sweet and fluffy! Probably my favorite place to get maduros. I normally get their quesadillas, but today I decided to be different and try their criollo sandwich. I was pleasantly surprised! Definitely a very good portion, I found myself not being able to finish the whole thing and only eating half. Bread was well toasted and the sauce on the inside was too die for! This may be my new favorite thing on the menu.
google avatar

Todd H.

Yelp
If you want to experience food from another country, like Peru, Cuba, Mexico, Brazil, without leaving the USA, GO TO CALI N TITO'S. I give this experience six stars out of five!!!!!!! It is as on point as it gets. Look at this picture: it says it all.

Yelp
There is plenty of parking right by the restaurant. You order food at the bar/front and then you find an available table to sit. The server will bring the food based on the number the cashier gives you. There are seating areas indoor and outdoor. The inside decorations is really nice, it kept my sons entertained. There is a variety of drinks available, both alcoholic and nonalcoholic. Chips and salsa: nice and warm and the salsa taste great! There is cilantro sprinkled on top of the chips. So if you aren't a cilantro fan be sure let them know. Beef Cuban sandwich: meat is very well seasoned and slightly spicy. There is also cilantro sprinkled on top of this sandwich. Fish taco: soooo good! This has been my craving and the whole reason we made the trip to Athens. Highly recommend! Beef empanada: so good! Nice and seasoned, the outside is perfectly crispy. Freshly made so it's nice and warm! Fried rice: it's on the kids menu. It has a weird taste to it...not quite sure what it is. But we only took two bites from this. Could just be the seasoning is different from what we prefer. The margaritas are delicious! We got a strawberry mango margarita on the rocks: delicious and strong! Watermelon frozen margarita: not as strong but super delicious as well! Definitely drink it slow or you will get a brain freeze. Only thing that was kind of questionable is the water, it looks like it's just tap water...to me I thought it was a hand washing station. So I opted to get sweet tea for my son.

Yelp
Seating area is sparse. It's a good hangout spot for college folks. The food was good but meat was a little overcooked. Service was fast.

Yelp
Many options at this cute Athens restaurant -diverse menu, family friendly, good drinks, but best of all it has plenty of outdoor seating with umbrellas and fans to keep diners safe. You still have to mask-up and go inside to let them know you are ready to order and refill your own drinks. Food: 4/5. Family members order and like a variety of ethnic and standard sandwiches, but the only menu item I like best so far is the Tilapia salad (two large pieces of fish and good dressing.) Service:4/5 Food comes pretty quickly -if you are outside, sometimes they forget to check on your group for beverages, etc. After they serve you -BUT getting restaurant help is difficult everywhere and I'm just thankful they will still serve your food outside Facility: Cutesy Decor. 3/5 Inside -lots of entertaining things to keep kids busy and it's crowded, with minimal furniture, and noisy-but it's fun. 3/5 Outside-basically rough picnic tables but with umbrellas and fans. Palm trees and sand. Some street noise but that's covered by the large fans in the summer. Plenty of parking. Location. 4/5. Not downtown so it has plenty of parking in its own lot. Some shaded spots. Off a pretty busy street and easy to find if you drive. School bus traffic during school year.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places to eat if I'm not trying to break the bank. I prefer this location over the South Lumpkin one because the food quality has varied a lot everytime I've been to that one. That one is also cash only and has a smaller parking lot. This location has a better interior (jam-packed with really funky decorations and a fountain! Also way bigger), bathroom, and quicker service. I also feel like the cleanliness of this location is better. When you get the lunch special, it's about $9 per person for a LARGE portion of food. The cuban sandwich is my favorite by far to get, in particular the steak. If you don't know what to get, you can't go wrong with the cuban sandwich. It's big and I can only finish it when I'm really hungry. My friends with smaller appetites usually take some of it to go as leftovers. The cuban sandwich is messy to eat but so delicious and so filling. I like to get the fries as the side. The special also comes with a drink, but I prefer water. The pink sauce is awesome! I've also tried to maduros and that's good too as a side. This is an Athens favorite and I know why! Also you order at the bar/cash register area, they give you a number sign, and you sit at a table and wait. It's usually not a long wait. This place can get really crowded, so my favorite time to go is usually around 2-3 PM. It's a lot less busy then.

Yelp
Holy $h*t this place goes crazy. I ordered the veggie Lomo Saltado (thanks to the suggestion of Vero, I believe that is how you spell her name)... boy I have never been more proud to eat a lunch by myself. I even totally forgot about my margarita?? Unheard of. The food is hot, flavorful, and insanely delicious. Marco was also a pleasure to work with! Definitely will be frequenting this location.

Yelp
Did this place get me through college? Yes. Do I shamefully make the hour drive once or twice a year to Athens just to eat here again? Yes. What can I say. I LOVE this place. Every time I walk in so many memories of college come flooding back. It is fabulously decorated with random junk. From a boat and a bike hanging from the ceiling, to a water fixture in the middle of the floor. The food is always hot and delicious and the pink sauce is addicting. It's just great place to grab a cubano sandwich, a grapefruit Jarrito, and just enjoy life. I beg you go and see for yourself! They also now have outside pickup around the side if you are not comfortable entering restaurant. They will bring the card scanner out to you along with your food. Super convenient.

Yelp
Of the multiple times I've been to Cali N Tito's, I'm shocked I rarely ever take a picture of my plate, but this plate has been one of the best I've ever had. Frankly, you can't go wrong with Cali N Tito's if you're ever in Athens. They have 2 locations (one of them only takes cash so beware) and they are both really nice. I've never had an unpleasant experience with them. I'll say that the food does take some time to come out, and there is no service inside of the restaurant but that adds to the experience because you can't be on your phone while there. There's always music, someone's birthday celebration, and it is just so colorful and full of fiesta. I've had their cubanos, empanadas, tilapia, and my go-to order which is their quesadilla and it hits EVERY TIME except once during the earlier stages of the pandemic, I had a to-go order and they messed up my quesadilla order and I only realized by the time I got home. Anyway, this is one of the BEST Latin American restaurants I've ever been to and would make the trip everytime I crave their food, even if I'm an hour away

Yelp
Excellent customer service every time and I have never had a problem with their food 10/10. They also have very comfortable outdoor furniture for nice days.

Yelp
Food was amazing just did not like to stand in line so long ti place order. Beans were delicious and my husband's Cuban sandwich was very flavorful. Serving size was more than adequate. Looking forward to the next visit.

Yelp
I love this place and have for years. It's a great vibe here and the food is always great. This is a place for a variety of Latina food that you cannot find anywhere in our area. It's a fun restaurant and the staff is always fast and friendly. My husband and I had Tacu tacu steak and chicken. He had yuca and I had a side salad. We had a side of fried tostones and chips, salsa, and queso. He had a michelada and I had a mango marg on the rocks. 10/10. The seasoning on everything is perfection. The marg was perfect. Rimmed with some kind of Tajin mixture which was the perfect touch.
