Cali Saigon Mall

It was really cool stumbling on this mall. It's more southeast asian, so theres a lot of vietnemese and thai stores. Aside from a huge supermarket, there are also a number of clothing and gift shops. It also has a sizeable food court with about 10 different options, from pho to sandwiches, to ice cream.

Awesome food court for traditional Vietnamese fare. Great soup, sandwiches, yummy food packed to go (soup & baked goods) incredible selection of drinks. If you live around this mall you're doing yourself a disservice by npt trying some of this food

Lots of great tea variety. Stores are reasonable but out dated; and the unpleasant smell greets you at the opening of the door. Employees (nor other customers who watch you like a halk) don't speak back when you say hello. I've learned to go get what you need and get out.

Walking in this marketplace gives you the feel of being in an Asian country. The food court is lovely and has several different variations of Asian cuisine. The grocery store has so many interesting things. My only complaint of the place is the restroom location and that the grocery store is a little high priced. Other than that this place really is a must visit if you love Asian food and atmosphere.

Never again. Place is dirty, smells bad and really mostly empty place. Food court has some great looking options but couldn't get anyone to help me or take order. The grocery market was interesting, had decent selection of produce. Staff are flat out rude & mean to people, watched one lady threaten & hit another person while staff laughed, crazy! The amount of ladies yelling & pushing into people is stressful.

It may be old, but kept clean over the years. The food court and vibes give you a little nostalgia of how Vietnam feels (although hard to compare to the real things). Grocery store is solid. I visit here as often as I can.

I live in an Asian neighborhood, and as a white boy, it's awesome. Great market, food, and services. Come experience, you won't be disappointed.

Cali Saigon is like a lot of plazas you find in San Gabriel where it's a Vietnamese food court. There's always a Lees and other family owned businesses that specialize in desserts or noodle dishes. There's plenty of seating and it's usually cash only. The Chè ba màu location is usually the busiest. There are lots of drinks (think like boba but Vietnamese). Its quite large so you can share it between two people. They also sell other goodies. The sugar cane juice is really good and it's not overpoweringly sweet. It's a nice large drink to get to deal with the Dallas heat. The noodle dishes are good. You can order it to go or eat it there. You get a lot of food for your money. It's cheap and affordable and a nice way to sample different flavors and dishes based in Vietnam. Also it is cash only.

Our first time at a Vietnamese food court! Had a lot of different options to choose from and a Lee's Sandwiches. A lot of places only took cash so definitely have some if you visit. There's also a supermarket in the back of the building next to the food court. There's also lots of little shops selling jewelry, medicine, clothing, toys, etc. workers and customers there mostly spoke Vietnamese so that might be a bit of a barrier if you don't speak Viet. Overall, good selection and the food was really good!

I was pretty satisfied with my groceries but the food court is not giving. The picture of the $7 milk tea shows some black stuff in it and I keep getting something red in it too I don't know what those are but very suspicious. Then I ordered dumplings at the man there but got fresh spring rolls instead. Really disappointed but I know it's also my fault for not checking what I got before leaving. Bugs me I ended up with fresh spring rolls when he repeatedly said dumplings.

Checking out a different culture with my family. Want them to see more than traditional American stores and clothing.

This is a quintessential Vietnamese "mall." You've got your one main grocery store. Which is inclusive of all you'd need to live your best Vietnamese American life. With over five types of fish sauce and Yeo's canned soy milk, sugar can juice, and so on, this is the destination for all things Vietnamese. They do have a good selection of Chinese and other Asian countries' staples too. This includes things like bags of rice, instant noodles, or seasoning and dipping sauces. Now, if you've never been shopping at an Asian market. It's not dirty and it's not old. It's just how it is lol What's even better than the grocery store is the food court. I didn't pick anything up here to eat, but each of the small stalls had at least two or more platters or noodle bowls that made me stop to take a good look. I don't have the easiest time finding duck noodle soup here at home in the Bay Area. But more than one of these small stalls had it. What a dream. I would try one from each stall if I could. Just like with pho, any dish is made slightly differently as families pass these down from one generation to another. They have a Lee's sandwich also if you're a basic b*tch and like their sandwiches. They have a lot of good grab and go snacks and platters there though. It was nice to be able to find this little gem in the DFW area amongst all of the American food and BBQ. Also, don't skip past the nail supply store in here that's two doors down from Lee's! I got a bottle of the gel couture Essie polish for only $4.50 (after tax)!!! But bring case if you're not spending over.. I think it was $10? But that shouldn't be a problem because they sell OPI and a ton of other brands as well! Happy Vietnamese shopping and dining!

Extremely pleased to find this gem - little Saigon mall with a good selection of shops, restaurants and a large grocery. Plenty of parking and conveniently located in central Garland. Highly recommended!

This place is a hidden gem. So many restaurants located in side of this place. I love shopping here for food. The produce is always so fresh and the meat Dept is huge. I love the food court. They have many that cook homemade meals and the bathrooms are super clean. During the holiday season, they have music and dances. Lots of family and lots of people on the weekend. I love the little bạnh mi sandwich at the end of the food court, but they take a long time when they are busy. The Che place next door sells good snacks too.

Boy, What a great trip today shopping at the Asian Market today. They were out of the 14 oz red curry so I ventured out & went ahead & purchased the Big Girl (35oz) size. I have been using a lot of red curry due to my favorite salmon, red curry salmon with kale. And red curry is my favorite curry! Also trying a new recipe for shrimp pad Thai so I needed ingredients for it. Purchased 2 gorgeous blue bowls from the dish aisle...true love! And I couldn't leave the store without purchasing the baby bok choy. I also purchased for the first time a different coconut milk. After seeing 3 different sets of customers pick the Savoy coconut milk I asked a very friendly customer what her opinion was of this particular brand. From what I guess it's like comparing milk to cream. The 4 star instead of 5 stars is again rudeness of employees. Here's one of my red curry recipes: THAI PANANG CURRY 1 1/2 lbs~Chicken Breasts, boneless, sliced thin 1~tsp Lemon Pepper, or to taste 3~TBSP Peanut Oil, divided 1~Medium Onion, chopped 1~Red Bell Pepper, chopped 1~Green Bell Pepper, chopped 5~Cloves Garlic, minced 1~TBSP Ginger, minced 1/4~Cup Red Curry Paste 2~TBSP Peanut Butter 1/8~tsp Allspice Powder, optional 2~tsp Brown Sugar 2~Cups Coconut Milk 1/3~Cup Thai Basil Leaves, Garnish 1/3~Cups Peanuts, chopped, Garnish, optional Limes, for Garnish Instructions: Toss chicken with lemon pepper. Heat 1 TBSP of peanut oil in a wok or skillet, cook chicken. Remove cooked chicken from the skillet & set aside. Wipe out skillet with a paper towel. Add 2 TBSP peanut oil to the skillet. Sauté onions in the oil until the onions are translucent. Add the red & green bell peppers. Cook for 2 minutes constantly stirring. Add the garlic & ginger and sauté an additional minute. Add the red curry paste, peanut butter, brown sugar & allspice to the skillet. Sauté, stirring regularly for 2 minutes. Pour in coconut milk, give it a good stir. Return the chicken to the skillet. Let it cook for 5-7 minutes, till heated thoroughly. Add a few Thai Basil leaves. This Panang is great when served with steamed jasmine rice. And garnished with peanuts, additional Thai Basil & a lime wedge. Bon Appetit' ‍ 6~Servings *I often sub out the veggies with green beans, carrots, sweet potatoes, broccoli or whatever is in my vegetable crisper.

Cali Saigon Mall in Garland offers a great selection of shops and restaurants with a wide variety of goods and services. The mall has a bustling atmosphere and is a popular destination for locals and visitors alike. The only downside is that the mall could be cleaner, as some areas appear to be in need of attention. However, despite this minor drawback, Cali Saigon Mall remains a great place to shop and dine. Overall, I would give it a three-star rating due to its excellent selection of shops and restaurants, but with the hope that the cleanliness issue can be addressed in the future.

Drove pass this place and decided to check out. There is a food court on the left side with Lee's sandwich, numerous Vietnamese restaurants, a banh mi shop and a dessert place at the end. Ordered 2 sandwiches $4 each (buy 5 get 1 free) and cash only. Bread was soft but not much filling. Wish there's more carrots and cucumbers too. But good flavor. Wanted to get some desserts but the lady kept on saying what number. Wanted to know what they are and didn't get any due to language barrier. Ended up with the pandan soy milk, as I'm familiar with this. I tried to get another pastry but couldn't due to language barrier. I wondee if most patrons speak Vietnamese and how they ordered their food. Just point and take a chance?

Very interesting food court. Suggested by a Vietnamese friend. Lots of choices we will explore

You're standard fare Vietnamese shopping center, lol. Primarily a grocery store as well but you'll find some Chinese, Taiwanese, and Filipino goods here. Parking is way more ample than Westminster's Asian Garden Mall, so I had no anxiety leaving my car parked here while we shopped lol.

Lot of restaurant and food court choices. Good grocery store. Doesn't seem as well taken care of as Asia Times Square but still solid.

I love the little shop right next to the Lee's Sandwich store. They made the best "mi` qua~ng", translated as "egg noodle from the central region in Vietnam", in town. It's not a very lively place. Hardly any people here. If you are a visitor from out of town, it's not worth a trip here. There are several choices for food inside the food court area along with an Asian supermarket as the anchor. The lighting is kinda dim though, and there's a weird smell throughout.

Does Cali Saigon Mall have an Asian dress shop or one near by please? Traveling from Shreveport or can you recommend an Asian dress store please?

Not bad at all! I was expecting an old run down supermarket with dingy old shops. I was surprised at how well kept the whole place was and the food court had some great selections.

So many places to choose from and a lot of groceries to fix anything your heart desires. They carry more than just Vietnamese favorites, you can find Chinese and Japanese goods there too. There is no other market in Dallas that I can find that carries my favorite soy sauce (Kimlan), so Cali Saigon Mall is my go to. Fair warning. Bring insulin to the food court if you plan on having a boba drink. I had to toss mine almost immediately. Way WAY to much sugar for a human to consume.

They are extremely rude and do not let you return stuff even if you have the receipt. I bought fish and it smelled old and very bad. They didn't let me exchange or return. DO NOT SHOP HERE!

I am giving a 5 stars just because it reminds me of Asian Garden Mall in Bolsa/Westminster CA where I use to live and a tad bit homesick at times (T__T) I am not gonna lie, I do miss how easy it was to get any type of food or dessert at almost any time of day, especially Viet food! So this place is called Cali Saigon Mall. It is about 15 mins away from where we live. Been here several times already lol. It has a big Vietnamese supermarket in it that has most Asian & East Asian produce, meats, and ingredients. So big plus for that because this mama cooks mostly Asian food. I like that they have almost most of the Japanese stuff I cook with too. I was worried that I would have to drive far to get my Japanese stuff but so far so good. They have various little shops like Asian Garden Mall which consist of gift, herbal, beauty supply etc shops. There is also a food court on the left hand side with known places such as Lee's coffee (thank the Lord for my ca phe su da and sinh to ba), bambu dessert, and other eateries. They have this banh mi place which is called #1 banh mi or something like that and the banh mis there are so good! They have unique ones that I've have never seen back in OC or rarely have seen. So that's a place I would def recommend. Everything looks good, they even have a little crawfish to go place! The kids seem to love the sesame street rides in the food court. So yes, I give this place 5 stars based on all the experiences I've had so far.

This is the OG asian mall in the DFW area. You all might know of Hmart, 99 ranch, and those other major retailers, but only a select few know of Cali Saigon Mall (or, as the originals know it, "Saigon Mall") Can you get Lee's Sandwiches at the other asian malls? I don't think so. And when you have a bite of their homemade bread with their savory toppings, you won't wanna go to any other sandwich shop. Also, the mall security here is top notch. You won't be seeing any weirdos around, like children who throw freaking plastic aliens at people, like at other poorly managed markets. Keep the legacy alive my friends! Shop Saigon!

Why can't we have an Asian mall here in Austin with a food court. Go to one place and have a variety of food to chose from. Had the duck congee and was so good with the ginger fish sauce.

I love it there are so many cool stores. I personally love the beauty stores since they have soo much to offer. I can also find all my groceries at the super market. I love buying my rice there. Oh and I go here to buy my tofu since I can't find tofu at any other place. Overall this place is amazing. .

So many options to choose from.. good place for Asian groceries with reasonable pricing. Fruits & veggies section is huge. Not much info on GMO vs Non-GMO products to choose from.

Beware of this market not the first it happened. Check your receipt before leaving!!! They overcharge your grocery and some items don't match with the one you bought. The Hispanic girl working there made a mistake with a customer ahead of me luckily he caught it and she got frustrated when my card was still pending in the machine. Then when I got home i saw she charged me on green onions for $5.38 when I only had 2 and she list the item as mung which isn't green onions! I feel bad for the elderly that doesn't know how to check these types of things!

It's your typical asian super store with a food court and a telephone place and clothing or little nick nak shops. Huge parking space, lots of entrances. The place is kept pretty clean but sometimes the bathrooms can be a huge mess. They are constantly rotating stores which is annoying. It seems like every time I come back there's a new restaurant or one that is no longer there. I will have to admit the place can be pretty dead.

This review is mainly for Hong Phat Market and some of their surrounding stores. I'll start with the market. Hong Phat isn't a bad market at all. It's pretty clean and fairly new (it's been open for about a yr). Their produce looks good and there's an abundance of seafood. You can buy mussel meat for I was amused by some of their meat offerings (they sell a whole pig's head for $14.99! I could totally scare someone at halloween. bwahah). Nearby there's a Chinese BBQ stand which was pretty cool. You can buy the usual like roast duck and various innards. For a big party, you can also order an entire roast pig for the cheap price of $200. Inside the market there's a Mozart Bakery which looked really good. I think it's part the same Mozart Bakery near Super H-Mart. There's an awesome food court inside this shopping mall. I like the desserts in Sweet Bakery. And right now for the Moon Festival, the restaurant Mon Ngon Saigon is selling their yummy Moon Cakes. You can ID this place by looking for red neon lights saying "Chao Vit" (translation : duck congee). Come check this place out for a quick bite or for hard to find shopping items in the market.

Inside the Cali Saigon Mall, there's a food court with lots of vietnamese cuisines! I went to Chao Vit, in which they specialize in porridge; I got the Chao Long, which is a combination of meats such as beef, pork, sausage, liver and pig blood served with fresh bulk bean sprouts and vietnamese bread. FOOD: 4/5 SERVICE: 4/5 AMBIANCE: 4/5

The parking lot was not really pleasing with blowing trash around. Plus, there are shopping carts which were not in the carousel too. Well, I much preferred H-mark or Ranch 99 plazas but soon realized that the indoor was really quite pleasant. I really liked Bambu shaved ice and also the Bahm Mi sandwich place too.

This place sell expired foods. It's disgusting. People should report them to health department.

Best place to meet up for lunch. Enough variety to satisfy everyone's taste buds. Sandwiches, pastries, dessert, soups, rice dishes, seafood/cajun, etc. Needs more vendors though--more variety wouldn't hurt. Some are cash-only.

I shop at the SF Supermarket in this mall. I got Japanese Daikon radishes for 49¢ a lb and bought other fresh veggies like large carrots, chives, watercress, etc., plus some sauces like oyster and fish sauce very reasonable. I don't go there often because we live some 35 miles away but I do get there especially when I need oriental goodies.

I was looking for somewhere authentic to eat, yup I quickly noticed I was in the right place! The mall's main focus seems to be the huge grocery store inside. My favorite thing about the grocery store was the vegetables, huge selection of teas and especially the blue and white dinner wear sets that have for super cheap. I'm so glad I found this place, i bought super cute pho plates! They also have a food court, that I did not get to explore yet I saw just about everyone walking with a boba drink! You may also find some really cute stores with decor and clothing. I wanted to look around more but I didn't want to be all touristy. Maybe each time I go I'll check out a store one by one. Oh also worth mentioning, the shopping carts are so cute! They are a bright turquoise, why doesn't every store have do this?!?!

Definitely a poor man's Grand Century Mall (San Jose, CA) which is the poor man's Phuc Loc Tho (Vietnamese Garden Mall in Little Saigon, CA). It's the place to stop if you want some quick Vietnamese food but not the most fun location to discover a whole new world. Without the food court the mall is essentially a super long hallway that connects Lee's sandwiches to the asian grocery store next door. As a result, the entire building smells like dried cuttlefish. If more stores were open while I was there, I'd probably have a different type of review, but it seemed like the stores were open when the owners felt like it and there wasn't much traffic for a weekend. This mall isn't worth the extra trip while in Dallas.

Its nice to know that there is a place that you can go to for the vietnamese in you. I go to this place mainly because I live in Richardson, and its closer then the other one down the road. There is one off Greenville and Campbell, but its geared more toward Chinese then Vietnamese. I am glad they are finally reopening the store in there. For a while its been pretty empty. In any case, the location is nice, and the owners of the facility do keep the parking lot clean and that is a plus.

I have been making the rounds to a lot of the Asian grocery stores in the Richardson/Garland area, and so far Hong Phat market in Saigon Mall is the cleanest and most organized of them all. This is the place I'd recommend for people that aren't used to Asian grocery stores - it doesn't smell (except in the fish sauce isle), the produce is well-organized, items are well-marked in both English and what I assume is Vietnamese, and there is just a great selection. Plus, Teahouse is a great bubble tea spot to the left of the grocery store, and Lee's sandwhiches provides great bahn mi to the right. I also browsed the bakery and some of the other Vietnamese food court options, and all in all I was totally impressed.

If you live on the east side of Dallas and do not want to make the trek out to Super H Mart in Carrollton, Saigon Mall will rock you. Saigon is a super fun place for people who love Asian foods! Or to get the food you usually eat if you are, in fact, from Asia... Aaanyway, I love the selection in the market area. Their produce is fresh and quite varied. They also have fantastic live seafood and dried/preserved food sections. I have not quite worked up the courage to purchase dried squid but the day will come! Not only is there this foodiegasm market, the Mall also has restaurants! I believe the majority of food available is Vietnamese (woohoo for pho and bahn mi) but there is also a tasty boba tea joint. Off you go!

This mall is within half a mile from my house so I frequent the market and surrounding shops often. I am here pretty much once or twice a week to pick up essentials or just something to-go for lunch or dinner. The veggies and produce in the store doesn't move as quickly as it should so some of the stuff ins't as fresh as I'd prefer. The seafood, meat section and dry and home goods is where I typically shop. If I need veggies, I typically go to Hiep Thai or Troung Nguyen.

Very conveniently located for those who live around this area. I went to their grand opening and was not pleased. There were swarms of Vietnamese people, shoulder to shoulder, like this was the Vietnam war and you've got to find shelter and food. Okay, maybe not that much... but you get the idea.. this supermarket had very high expectations to meet, and excited the Vietnamese crowd. Inside was a crawfish hut, some shredded pork shop/dry goods (Cha Bong), Lee's Sandwiches, and lots more where the Food Court was. There is also a hair salon, guitar store, cosmetics shop, and a pho place soon to come. Overall, I know this place will get lots of business, because they've met their expectations and have beat their competitors: Truong Nguyen, Hiep Thai, Hong Kong, etc.

I used to love visiting here, but I found out that they sell expired stuff. I bought Japanese seaweed from the market, and it was expired like five months ago. I realized that after I got home, which is some hours away from this market, so I was very very disappointed. After that, I could not really trust the quality of the market anymore. I will still visit time to time because I like the atmosphere though.

My mother and I had lunch in the food court on Sunday, 6/22/08. Many of the food court signs are in Vietnamese only--Mum and I don't read Vietnamese, so we asked the cashiers what to order. At one restaurant, we ordered seafood fried rice and an udon soup with dried fishcake pieces; at a second restaurant, we ordered a rice congee. The seafood fried rice was tasty; it had lots of shrimp, some crawfish, a few small scallops, and quite a bit of pepper. The udon soup was a bit salty, but there were lots of noodles! The rice congee itself was acceptable, but, wait, there was more! Our congee had lots and lots of organs in it! Methinks something was lost in translation. Mum and I--need it be said?--are not accustomed to lots of organs in our meals. Now, bless you if you love eating organs, but Mum and I just can't! Every time we dug a little deeper in the congee, some new unidentifiable organ popped up! Summary: All y'all congee-with-organ lovers, get you to this food court and order a number 3! Mum and I will be over in the corner sharing a seafood fried rice.

Saigon mall is the best! I needed a wok for dinner tonight so I went to Saigon Mall and the Hong Phat Supermarket. The staff was very nice and showed me where the wok's were and even helped me choose one out. I also walked around the store and picked up a few more items. I did notice that Hong Phat did have some great pricing. After I got home I did some price checking at Target and Wal Mart. I found that Hong Phat had the best price for a great product. I would recommend Hong Phat to anyone who is in need of any Asian kitchen ware.

This place has it all if you need some Asian food ingredients you will find it here. The food court is very Authentic with a wide variety of Vietnamese foods. People here might come off rude but I promise it's not personal they just don't care about you. 5* none the less

There are small things that we don't like about the Mall, but overall it is a place we shop at frequently. We like the Vietnamese supermarket (Hong Phat) at least I think that is what the name is, because of it's fresh meat, seafood and vegetables. The vegetables aren't always fully stocked, but there's a wide variety and you can always find a really good deal on something. Very wide variety of Vietnamese and other Asian foods. We also really like Lee's Sandwiches. They do Vietnamese style sandwiches and other kinds of food. The baguettes are to die for and only $1.00. The breakfast sandwiches are good (very filling) and reasonable price, but the egg is always a little runny on my sandwiches, which I don't like. You need to try the Lee's Iced Coffee. It is very, stong, Vietnamese style coffee. It is cheaper than Starbucks and is something I buy like to get. We go to Lee's quite often, since we live nearby and this market is very convenient. We haven't tried the food court yet, but as much as we like to eat Vietnamese food, I think we would recognize the Vietnamese characters for the food we like. Lee's sandwiches only accepts cash right now, but there is an ATM in their space.

It's nicer than how it used to be. They've got a great selection of seafood particularly shellfish. Today they had live razor clams. The butcher is good and really cheap. The produce is mediocre and cheap. So you make up your mind about what's more important. Overall it's a decent Asian market in a city that's got some pretty good Asian markets.

Pretty nice viet town, BYOB at a lot of places and a convenient supermarket nearby so you can buy your booze. There's a restaurant down at the very Southern end of the strip that supposedly a lot of people go to but I don't remember the name (that or because the name was Vietnamese so it's hard to say much less remember). Pretty good egg sandwiches, service was nice, but super slow.... Other than that though, we just so happened to run into an aisle full of rice hats and a cafeteria inside the mall full of Viet food. If you're Vietnamese, you'll prob find this home-y. If you're not, you're in for a new/interesting experience.

I believe this use to be called something else, but they have a lot of fun cute shops and a bahn mi place for $3 bucks. Loved every minute of it.
