Very affordable. But clearly trying to imitate In N Out and failing. The beyond burger was nice, but the animal fries stand in was not only bad, with poorly textured bagged fries and a smoky sauce that tasted nothing like animal sauce, but it does not mirror the advertised product at all.

Jesse Z.

Google
Tried a beyond burger here. The bun was pretty clearly left out, to the point of being hard. They also did not add the bbq sauce included in the burger. They were not busy. I used go here when I shopped at the mall. Using stale bread is pretty bad. Can’t say I’ll return.

Yeah, it’s me again. So, I stopped in here since I heard this is the closest thing I’ll get to In-N-Out in Washington State, and I was impressed. This location is in the food court and you order on a kiosk. I had tried a Crispy Malibu BLT Chicken, a Cali Double and the “Cali Style“ Fries (if you know In-N-Out, you know what I mean. Excellent. All three, excellent. I may have to venture down to Oregon to compare this place to In-N-Out. I’m afraid, as strange as it feels to say this, I think this place is better. 10/10, coming here again.

Google
the meat is paper thin now. you are witnessing the great burger scam worthy of alex jones. Over the past 15 years i have witnessed the shrinkage of burger patty. "They" are steling our thickness. burger patty used to be same thickness as the bread bun now its less than half of the thickness of bread short version: there is less meat and more carbs in your burgers today oh and the fries also have no flavor Just taste like salted paper

In Seattle, this is probably the closest thing you can get to In-N-Out. I absolutely love In-N-Out, but by all means that doesn't mean that Cali Burger is close to In-N-Out's level whatsoever. Out of all the places to eat in the food court at Alderwood Mall, for some reason I always gravitate towards Cali Burger. I mean, they're alright, but I usually get some french fries, and a cali double burger with bacon and grilled onions. Presentation wise, everything looks pretty similar to In-N-Out, but taste wise, not so much. The burger is kind of bland and really lacks texture and flavors. I really wished the buns were toasted, but I do appreciate the generous amount of lettuce. The fries on the other hand are pretty good though. They're pretty crisp and have a very delicous and generous amount of seasoning! Overall, everything is just alright, but still satisfies my needs. It definetly is the closest substitute to In-N-Out up here in Washington, but again, nothing like In-N-Out.

I ordered a Santa Monica chicken burger with light mayo and fresh onions. I was given a Malibu burger with sautéed onion and lots of mayo. They wouldn’t fix it. They said it’s pay and go? They need more training. I didn’t eat it. I sent a message through Instagram asking for a redo or refund. Contacting the location link didn’t work. It’s been 2 days and I’ve heard nothing. Very disappointed! Be very careful to make sure your order is correct.

Google
Bringing my senior parents here and requested to make the burgers half, so it’s easier for them to chew. The folks in the kitchen were so unfriendly and said NO. When I asked why, they are like “I Don’t Know”. :( Never heard a burger place not willing to accommodate a simple request, no wonder why it’s so quiet here. Attached is the picture of folks who are working today Dec 15th.

Google
There was slight tast of in n out but it was still nothing close. Lettuce was old and the bread tasted stale. I was in the bathroom for a while after i got back home.

Yelp
BLUE FIBERS IN MY BURGER!!!!! Went to them with burger, mostly eaten already and showed fibers in burger patty. They just said we don't have blue fibers. Like WTF....do you see what I'm talking about (as I'm showing them the fucking burger with shit inside the patty). Manager said patties come from corporate so he doesn't know how that happened. They then offered me a new burger but I told them no. I would like a refund given you fed me BLUE FIBERS in my burger. After that they finally offered $8 for the burger. Good customer service......NOT! Honestly you made me eat something unnatural. Then expected me to eat the rest of the food I bought there. $30+ wasted!!!!!

Yelp
Food-Hot and fresh Ambience -Rushed Service- self service The closest thing to In-n out you will get in Washington. Highly recommend this place if you're missing a little bit of So Cal Bon Appetite

Yelp
Located in the Alderwood Mall food court, you order on a touch screen kiosk. They have burgers, chicken and plant based burgers, fries and sweet potato fries. They call your name when your order is ready. Food is hot and cooked according to your order. You can choose extra tomatoes, onions, grilled onions or avocado to your sandwich. Serving sizes was perfect for a day at the mall. There was lots of seating available in the food court. I would visit Caliburgers again the next time in the Seattle area.

Richa V.

Yelp
The chicken is super! They are crispy and spicy with the perfect amount of breading! The fries are thin and crispy! The service was fast! Definetly recommended

Yelp
Located in the food court. I ordered on the kiosk at the counter. It was easy and quick to use. The food took about 10 minutes to get on a busy Sunday afternoon. There were open tables near it. They have some high chairs for kids. I had the Cali Double burger with grilled onions. It was pretty good. Although there weren't many onions on it. It was very filling. The fries were good and didn't need ketchup. They were hot and salty. The soda was nice and cold. Thought the prices were high. The food was filling but didn't have very large portions that would make the price worth it.

Mary K.

Yelp
Just awful. Sauce saturated everything so thoroughly it was sickening. I threw out the bun, and still found these "beyond burgers" to be beyond unpalatable. I was in a rush, and trying to go for a healthier choice (as much as possible in a mall setting). Next time, I will choose fasting.

Yelp
Ordered a Baja BBQ grilled chicken burger, but they gave me the wrong order by mistake. Luckily they were more than happy to fix it. But in the end it was just an OK burger. Far from the worst I've had, but not quite something I'd pay $8.99 for. Overall not terrible, just one minor setback coupled with so-so food. Maybe not a bad choice if you're willing to give it a try and want a bit of Golden Coast vibes.

Yelp
Typical mall burger joint. Plenty of options on the menu. Tried cheeseburger, chicken burgers and fries from here. Food is decent. The burgers are small comparing to other fast food burger joints. Service is fast. never had to wait for long. A little too expensive for the food they serve, but after all it's a shopping mall food joint! ok to try it once in a while!

Yelp
Hotdogs supper spicy Too expensive Burger size of kids burger that other places. STAY AWAY

Yelp
I ordered a double plain with extra cheese. Ordering via their kiosk was easy, except no place to put drink p[reference. I asked for orange soda wiothout ice and the employee behind the counter tried to give me coke without ice, I have to walk to the left and point to the Fanta Orange soda and say I want THIS without ice. The burger was decent but average, a little more of a burger than a Dick's double, but not as good, and less of a burger than a Wendy's Double that features quarter pound burger patties. Fries were average. I'd rank this is slightly better burger than Shake Shack (that I also rated 3 stars) but not as good for the fries. Just very average overall and a big expensive for what you get. For the price, I would much rather get a burger and fries at Wendy's for less money, or just a slight bit more for better burger and service at Red Robin.

Yelp
Great job NOT checking the customer pick up ticket against your ticket and giving the wrong food to people. What was supposed to be quick lunch pick up turned into an ordeal when you gave my food away to another customers who proceeded to open and touch my food. While you were receptive to my request of getting my order re-done it added another 30min to my food run. Also thank you so much for charging me for everything but only giving me plain dogs. You all are obviously getting the employees of the month award with these customer service skills. DO BETTER!

Yelp
I've never had any CaliBurger before, so I wasn't sure what to expect or really what to compare it too, but this was certainly not an enjoyable experience, which is too bad, because there were a lot of options that sounded good, and the food itself wasn't bad. I put my order in on one of their kiosks. That made it quick and easy to customize. I love having those kiosks to make my decisions on and see what comes on a burger, so it was a good start. I step away and someone else gets their order taken, then someone struggles with the kiosk and gets their order taken as well. Good- both options are necessary. Next, someone actually does put in an order on the kiosk. I now notice where the order is printed, and that mine is still sitting there untouched. It's been 5 minutes. This is when it starts going downhill. During those 5 minutes, there is one worker taking orders- good. Another worker very slowly making one burger and basically just standing over the grill- fine, but not good. And a third worker is... scooping oil from one fryer and putting it in the other one? I honestly cannot figure out what they're doing. The worker taking orders is able to step away and notices the kiosk tickets. They take the tickets and put them on the line behind the verbal orders. It's now been 10 minutes before my order is even looked at. Burger worker does eventually start making more burgers at once... eventually, while the order-taker is doing the rest of the work; getting drinks, frying fries and chicken, prepping buns, prepping bags. Still have no clue what the last worker is doing, but they do disappear for a few minutes to the back- not long enough for a break or anything. It's 20-something minutes by the time I get my order. Only half of that was actual cooking/prep time. The food was fine. It was nothing special, it was nothing worth that ridiculous wait. This is a quick food stop at a mall with sit-down restaurant times. My partner had already paid, gotten, and eaten his meal by the time I was handed mine. By the way, they also left the pickles on after I put none. It says "no pickles" on the receipt. Normally, that would just be a little annoying and not bother me a whole lot, but people rarely consider the fact that allergies are possible. Luckily, that's not the case with me and I can take them off, but it certainly doesn't help my opinion after everything. If it had been someone with a severe allergy, then it would likely be another 20+ minutes for a fresh order.
google avatar

Josh K.

Yelp
The burger and fries were so-so. I've had better, but I've also had much worse. It's nice for a quick pickup. Only one guy was working in the back, killing it.

Yelp
Order kiosk not intended to used by short people or wheelchair users. Unable to order food from sitting in my wheelchair, the options were too high to reach. Got frustrated and went somewhere else.

Yelp
This a great addition to shoreline! Reminds me of In N Out in Southern California but no comparison. Burger -fresh crunchy veggies, oowey cheese, soft bun really good. Now the Cali fries I was not a fan of, looked like queso cheese and a huge amount of really thick sauce (maybe their signature sauce) next time regular fries for me. I will give them a second try, burger was delicious.

Yelp
Burger happiness! I believe I was the first order this morning. Kinda just carelessly order my Burger. fries and chocolate shake using the automated kiosk. I did not select the condiments I believe it defaulted to lettuce, tomato, and onion. The employees were pretty friendly and yes the burger was great. Thanks. good job.

Yelp
the mall reopened a week ago so I wandered in and ended up in the food court. I haven't been to the food court in a very long time and realized I hadn't had a caliburger in a very long time too. the menu has been expanded. the workers are still very friendly. the burgers are still cooked to order and piping hot off the grill. the Pasadena burger is perfect: double meat, cheese, onion, snd and no unnecessary veggies.
google avatar

Yelp
Customer service is atrocious. Never been here before- I won't return. I walked up and the employees walked away to avoid conversation or a greeting. Instead of guiding me to the computer to order- she saw my confusion and literally walked away. Watched her to do it to multiple customers. Extremely slow to start the order let alone put the kids burger together. Please train your workers better and turn this terrible experience into a learning opportunity for your business

David R.

Yelp
Honestly the worst burger place ever. Got the most dry burger with nothing but cheese on it. When i made a deal about it with the workers they refused to do anything about it so yeah they can keep the trashy burger but definitely not worth your time and definitely not a Cali burger
google avatar

Yelp
"I'm gonna order from this place every day" says my seven year-old. Good enough for her, then it's good enough for you.
google avatar

Yelp
I'd rather fly to the nearest in n out. Our first experience was decent. Second, not so much. They have no clue what they are doing.

Yelp
$35... I didn't realize when I ordered, I was getting 3 happy meals! My kids and I were still hungry when we finished our food. Definitely scratching that off of places to eat at the mall.
google avatar

John Y.

Yelp
After waiting 20 minutes to order the food came out cold and smashed up. Poor service and below average food. After eating a couple of the onion rings I can tell you they taste like they are cooked in the same oil as the fish. Wow...run to another place.
google avatar

Jenny M.

Yelp
Not bad for mall food but not great either. I've heard that it's similar to In-N-Out and wanted to try and see. Vibe is similar but definitely doesn't taste the same. Got the Cali Double with fries, and it was honestly not bad. It was piping hot and tasted as fresh as it could get. Fries were not the best but I do like it more than at In-N-Out or Dicks. Boyfriend thought it was really good and will return if he wants something quick. Overall, 6.5/10 Good place if you are in the mood for a burger but want quick service and not have to go sit down with full service like at Blazing Onion or Red Robin.
google avatar

Nathaniel C.

Yelp
This place is absolute trash, I learned my lesson when I ate here the first time months ago, my daughter did not and she was very disappointed yet again today. They gave here a tiny bit of fries "cali style", look at my picture, does that look like $4 worth? They have us the wrong drink. The burger was cold, probably because the dude calling my name didn't use his man voice. I'm sitting 10 feet away looking right at him, didn't hear him, but I could hear the girls yelling at Charleys 30ft away. Dont eat here it's not In n Out bu far, the owner of this place should sell it before it goes bankrupt and takes them down with it...
google avatar

JD D.

Yelp
People are really harsh in slamming this place. Yes it's a take on In N Out. No it doesn't taste the same. But I still really enjoy their burgers and the price point is just right. (For Washington standards)

James S.

Yelp
This is definitely the go-to spot in the Food Court at the Mall. The employees here are friendly, efficient, and accurate. I have a wheat/gluten allergy, which means I have to get the Lettuce Wrap. Most burger places half a** this effort as if I'm just being picky. The employees here always do a great job accommodating and never hesitate to use new gloves. Plus, they always hook it up with the fries!! Thanks to the humans who work at this location!
google avatar

Jesse H.

Yelp
This has to be the worlds slowest burger joint. Twenty minutes waiting for 2 burgers, no fries or anything extra. No orders ahead of mine. By the time I finally got the burgers the rest of our group who had gone elsewhere had already eaten half of their meals.
google avatar

Belikewater W.

Yelp
Combo A $9.49 - Cali Double, fries, & large soft drink. $4.99 just for a Cali Double. Nothing frozen (except shakes), hand cut fries on site. Chicken burgers. Coca-Cola soft drinks. Located in the Alderwood Mall food court across from the AMC Movie Theater. Doordash, Amazon, Über eats, Grubhub delivery.

Skyler L.

Yelp
If I could leave half a star, I would. They never get my order right, to the point where I will probably never go here again. And don't even try to remove things off your burger, because you'll have to have it remade several times because they just leave everything on there and don't care. Terrible service by the way in store.
google avatar

Mark B.

Yelp
Solid burger, especially in the mall food court. As for the comparison to California's "In-N-Out Burger" it tastes pretty similar. Their "Cali" sauce, tastes pretty darn close to the In-N-Out spread. The patty definitely is better than your average frozen beef patty at most burger joints. Their fries were so-so, but had them extra crispy which made them better. For the price you're looking at about $10-12 for a meal. Most people could argue with that money you should go to Red Robin or Blazing Onion, but if you're trying to avoid the sit down, and just need a quick burger, place is not a bad choice. They have a good mushroom burger which is a nice substitute for vegetarian foodies. I say if you're the mall and just need a quick burger, it is not bad a choice. As a burger connoisseur, I have my many picks, and unfortunately this does not crack my top 5, maybe not even the top 10.

Yelp
RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED!!! Took Forever To Get Your Food! Overpriced Overpriced Overpriced Just go there with the mindset of being prepared to give a donation to the owner, that way you won't feel so stupid for overpaying for the food. It will be a consolation as you go next door to the overpriced Indian cuisine to purchase another meal so that you can feel that you ate something. Overpriced. Nothing special about the burgers. The portions were on the skimpy side. The French fries were not great. You'll do much better going to Red Robin where the French fries are endless and the burgers are about the same price for so much more in portion size. If you're looking for the In N Out Taste, check out a place called Out N About Burgers in Puyallup. Not impressed. Not coming back. Do not recommend. You'll pay a lot of money and still feel hungry. To the owner: people want their money's worth. Price/portion is disproportionate. In summary--- O V E R P R I C E D
google avatar

Paul N.

Yelp
Wow. Suuuuuuper unsanitary In-N-Out in knock off. The two guys running the grill used the same pair of gloves to handle raw meat, vegetables, cook the fries, wrap and package to-go orders, and handle money. Where the hell did they learn food handling skills. This place needs the Dept. of Healthy to step in and shut it down. Avoid if you want to play Russian roulette with diarrhea.
google avatar

Yelp
Caliburger in Alderwood Mall is alright. I got a basic combo of fries and I believe a double. I could tell the ingredients were pretty fresh inside the burger and I've always liked the fries better than In 'N Out. It took a while (for fast food anyways) to get my meal out and the burger for some reason was partly cold inside like the veggies just left the refrigerator. The biggest issue with Caliburger however is the price. It's almost 5 guys cost for Dick's/In N Out type burgers, which doesn't add up to me.
google avatar

Willie F.

Yelp
Being California raised I love In N Out. The not really fast food burger joint always gets stuck in my head when I think of a good ol cheeseburger. I low carb a lot so I usually liked to get a 4x4 animal and protein style with no pickles. Ugh... why can't there be an In n Out here. Sorry for the rant. Anyways to Caliburger. Caliburger is inside the Alderwood mall food court and the set up is very simple. There's only a few options available, but also has chicken if you're not into their "never frozen" beef patties. I ordered two Calidouble Calistyle lettuce wrapped. I've got to say, these burgers are very good. It tastes exactly like In N Out as far as the sauces and meat go. They even lettuce wrapped it better than In N Out so it's not as messy. For a drink, I ordered a strawberry milkshake. I was a little disappointed when they said no I couldn't make it a neopolitan. So why the three stars instead of four or five? Well, there's two reasons. First is the price. Prices are pretty high for a burger of this caliber. It's better than McDonald's but not better than Red Robin. If you want to pay $15 for a double burger, fries, and a shake, you should probably go to Red Robin and get a real gourmet burger with bottomless steak fries. The second reason is the most important.. it makes me miss In N Out more. It's a little unfortunate that Caliburger will always have such high expectations being known as the "In N Out clone" because they really do taste good. But there's something about ordering from a secret menu and having awesome burgers at a very reasonable price, which Caliburger just currently doesn't have. I hope they listen and have the ability to lower prices to make it more appropriate to the consumer. Until then, the only reason I can think of to come here is to get my In N Out fix.
google avatar

Mario Q.

Yelp
The service was good and the taste was ok. Not near as good as In n Out, but close. Very disappointed with the quantity of your food for the price we pay. $4.99 for a double? $9.49 for a double combo? Come on now. If you want to match up with the originals, start with the price.
google avatar

Nicole S.

Yelp
There is no service. No one pays any attention to customers. You have to pay for ranch separately and the workers ignore you.
google avatar

Christopher L.

Yelp
Nope, never again. I won't make a comparison to this knock-off In-N-Out because there isn't one. Ordered a Cali Double w/ fries... the patties were over-cooked, veggies were non-existent, and fortunately all I could taste to drown out the over-powering cheese was my Coke. Also, the cringe-worthy video of what this company thinks California is like was hilarious. I felt like this was some kind of social experiment gone wrong. I'm only coming back here to show friends how bad the music videos & interviews are, but this place feels like a complete scam. Never again, Cali Burger. Never again.
google avatar

Margie L.

Yelp
This place is sooo slow. Never a line like the other eating establishments. Bun was dry and stale. Fries were limp. I've tried it twice with the same results. Terrible "food court" food. Wants to be like In-N-Out but not even close.
google avatar

Trang N.

Yelp
Food is decent. The burgers were made fresh. The ingredients aren't as fresh and tasty as in and out burger. The cheese fries were decent. It needs more creaminess. I prefer shake shacks cheese fries more. They are about the same in price. As with any burger place, the burger has to be show. Unfortunately the Cali burger is not a showstopper. It is dressed to be like a double double without soul of the true one. The bun is not up to par and the meat is not seasoned the right. Paid about 10 bucks for a Caliburger and fries. It's good but nothing worth repping Cali. Pro tip: do not order the food to go. They don't have the right packaging and they did a poor job packing the food. See photo

Vasiliy O.

Yelp
I'll omit my detailed review about the burger - it was okay at best and certainly far from the burger chain Caliburger is taking their inspiration from (those who lived in California would know the chain). What really upset me was the ordering kiosk. Who on earth designed it? Did the person who designed it ever tried ordering from it? The app is unintuitive, doesn't give enough prompts to help you correct your errors, and is simply bad UI. Now, I'm not some boomer who writes checks at grocery stores and cannot figure out a modern system - I'd consider myself rather advanced when it comes to IT systems. If you are hungry and just want your food, skip the kiosk and order with the cashier - it'll save you time and frustration.

Yelp
Ordered a chicken burger wrapped in lettuce and this sad thing is what I got for $6.99. Chicken is extremely over cooked and dry. I've never seen such a sad sandwich ever. The chicken is such low quality poultry it took forever to chew. The whole thing is smaller than the palm of my hand and I couldn't even eat the tiny thing because it was so dry. Honestly I don't know how this place will last. DO NOT GO HERE!

Richard M.

Yelp
Today July 17,2022: 3 people were in front of me. I Ordered a double burger at 3:43PM ..4 employees working..1 employee cooking assembling burgers making the fries and running cash register other 3 employees standing around..at 3:58 i got my $8 over cooked cold hamburger ..of course delivered by the lady that took my order cooked my burger assembled my burger and wrapped my burger and gave it to me while the other 3 stood and watched...there is just no way a "fast food" restaurant should take 15 minutes to make a hamburger!.i do not know what would happen if she went on break...this is a management problem ..it appeared to me they choose Sunday at a mall to do training...and not allow the other employees to help out...the other people waiting for their food around me seemed just as upset as i was..if they do not fix this location it won't last long ...Seattle NEEDS an In-n-Out!!
google avatar

Ennie L.

Yelp
Comparing this to In-and-Out burger is an insult. The burger meat was super dry and rubbery and the fries were, meh. The person cooking our food also seem not to be very sanitary. Used the same gloves when he grabbed the meat and when touching produce. Also, I do not understand why they were wiping their GLOVED hands with kitchen towels between stations vs changing gloves. I moved from Los Angeles, CA.. so I was excited when this opened. But it is a disappointment.

Yelp
The chef can't be bothered to wear his mask properly while preparing food or interacting with customers. It's not a lot to ask.
google avatar

Caroline B.

Yelp
First and last time I order there. Food arrived cold, $40 for 3 sad hamburgers, smashed fries and 3 drinks. Vegetarian hamburger is so sad. Not even a veggie patty. Just tomato, lettuce and bad orange cheese. Seriously, I am so pissed. That's robbery!

Aaron G.

Yelp
I got the Calidouble burger, fresh to order, such a delicious hot, flavored meat, melted cheese, I got my order in the exact time frame they said it would take.. I'd definitely come back again, and definitely recommend this place. Is this the closest thing to a In N Out here in WA state.
