Pasadena’s Burger-Flipping Robot Will Now Fry Chicken at Dodger Stadium - Eater LA

"CaliBurger is a local burger restaurant where Flippy, the automated robot, was tested. The robot, made by Miso Robotics, is capable of flipping burgers at a high rate and has reportedly been a success, turning out thousands of burgers." - Farley Elliott

Will Foodservice Robots Take Jobs Away From Human Workers? | Eater

Taco Bell’s Strawberry Skittles Slushie Is a Toothache in a Cup | Eater

"At Los Angeles’s Caliburger, the burger-flipping robot was temporarily taken offline because it was simply too slow, a reminder that automation in restaurants can be more gimmick than efficiency when it doesn’t meet pace requirements." - Chris Fuhrmeister

CaliBurger’s Burger-Flipping Robot Lasts One Day on the Job

"At the chain’s Pasadena location, a newly installed burger-flipping robot named Flippy made a high-profile debut touted by the restaurant and its maker as “the future of food,” designed to assist—not replace—kitchen staff using cameras and thermal scanners and part of a planned roll-out of about 50 units. After one regular shift the machine was taken offline for an “extended break” when the public overran the store and demand exceeded Flippy’s stated 2,000-burgers-per-day capacity; the company powered it down to install upgrades and retrain employees in how to work with the robot. Management noted timing and coordination with human cooks were challenges—staff need to adapt to Flippy’s schedule—so the unit will return after adjustments, with a sign currently promising it will be “grilling patties again soon.”" - Clint Rainey

CaliBurger is a great place for a quick bite to eat. Their robot "Flippy" was not working when I was there, but hey...ROBOTS! The burgers are pretty good, and their fries are great! Shakes are also recommended, but not required. The location is actually connected to The Rose, so expect long waits if a concert is going on.

Meh. If you're at the Paseo and want an In-N-Out style burger, then give it a try. But In-N-Out is better, lots of burger places nearby are better. Not saying it's bad, it's just whatever.

People working here are friendly, the service is good and quick. The burgers are fine - similar to the In 'N Out. Fries are a bit over done - a little on the burnt side. Kids enjoy watching the robot work - that's one of the main reasons we keep coming back.

Good burgers. Cool gizmos. A little slow on service. Order a milk shake, it's so good but takes 20 min to make.

Everything I has was just ok. The servers were friendly but they seem to be going through some renovations, some of the dinning room area was messy. It's pretty much an in-n-out copy cat company. Parking available in the paseo lot.

Dirty tabels sticky floors. There were 5 people there still we waited 27 minutes for order. No AC. Tasteless burgers :(

A sign on the door said closed but it wasn't! Around 2:30 pm. Food was good. Fries were good. Seating is non traditional and they have a sun issue with a lot of their tables. Pricing seems normal for these kind of places. $30 or 3 of us and we all got the "value" meal. Disappointed in the Pepsi products choice, but that is a personal preference. Our baskets sat at the kitchen window for a few minutes before delivered to us, so the fries were good, but not great. No vinegar available. Good visit and could have easily been a little better.

The experience of Flippy the burger flipper robot is cool but the burger needs more flavor. A little bland and can have more sauce. The fries were good and the service is good as well. For overall cost, its ok. I would say 'check it out' and see what you think.😉
