Google
Can't believe this place has a 3.8. Definitely way better than that. Order was made quickly and fresh. Lady behind the counter was super nice. Burger was delicious, and the fries were phenomenal.

Colin Liew

Google
Food is cooked fresh. Fast. Staff are friendly and helpful. Delicious and generous portions. Way better than other burger chains. Well done.

Traditionally Modern Food

Google
The machine-made fries tasted much better than I expected and were served quickly. However, the portion size was smaller. I wish they had provided napkins separately instead of placing them under the fries, as they ended up being oily

Dave Miller

Google
Good burger only issue I had was that it took a long time to get food. Big bugger with bacon and onion ring. Delicious hot fries. Good food. Follow up today why would someone want the amount of onion showed in the picture ever on a burge or chicken sandwich. Hello a small amount of would you eat that come to mind when making food for others. Disappointed ☹️

Caitlyn Baldwin

Google
Good spot for quick burger before heading to the one line. Service is fast, the lady at the counter is pleasant. Food is pretty good for a less expensive spot in downtown Seattle.

Google
These burgers are awesome, super fresh and taste great. Bit overpriced for portion size but that’s Seattle for you. I like all the customization you can do on the ordering kiosks. Also you can watch a robot make the French fries. Seems this type of fast food is the wave of the future, more automation, fewer human employees. This is located in the food court on the second floor.

Google
Meh. I got the K Town hot dog and fries. The hot dog was really small, but very good and surprisingly filling. The fries were more plain than frozen store brand fries. The kitchen got two out of three of our orders wrong. The kiosk is also confusing. It's also too far back and too high for a wheelchair customer as I watched one struggle mightily for over 5 minutes before anyone helped him. It also took too long for my food when not very busy. Skip this place if you're in a hurry.

Google
This will be my first time eating here and trying it. The burger that I had was called Baja BBQ Bacon Burger it was delicious and tasty though the onion ring was okay the sauce was bit messy overall the experience Was good the fries aren’t special but it was tasty too lmao. I recommend if you want try something different while in Downtown.

Yelp
Whoever's dissing this spot is a fool, same type of dudes that be granny shifting when they should be double clutching.... This spots gas. My girl in the back whips up flames, on the flame broiler. Do not get it twisted, your a fool if your ordering fries ....it's a burger joint.....get a double stack for $7 fitty and peace out . Stoopid. I would drop a pic of the double trouble but guess what...it's gone now!
google avatar

Yelp
Price is insane! I can't believe it was $24 for one meal...then charged $1 for a small soda refill! Never again!

Yelp
My wife and I loved Caliburger last time we went to this location as a date a few years ago. Tonight, my 3 year old, pregnant wife, and I drove through rush hour for Caliburger. We arrived at 6:45 and were told they were closed. Google said they closed at 8:30, Yelp said they were open, the fryer and grill were on and hot, and the self serve POS were on. I pointed these things out and asked if they were closing early for an emergency maybe? The two employees argued about it in spanish. The female employee said she didn't care about helping us, tossed sanitizer on the grill, and turned each of the POS's off by flipping a switch with a dirty spatula. I asked the male employee if I could have the contact info of the owner and the female employee told him not to give it to me. He apologized to my family then gave me a number and a name but I have not heard back from them yet. My family then had to leave and pay for parking. I would like someone from management to reach out to me please. Caliburger has no contact page on its website. All of this was pretty crazy.

Yelp
First of all make sure Selena is working when you come and eat! Like always I like to check Yelp before eating at a new place In a new city. Well this place is located at the mall which I really thought they would have more options but didn't. I saw the rating and was about to leave but Selena was working and she answered all the questions I had and personally promised me I would like everything. I wanted to give them 5 stars but the only thing I didn't like was the taste of the actual meat itself. Everything was fresh and delicious and I can say that the hotdog was the stand out! They have a cool robot that cooks all the fryer food. Give them a chance and say hello to Selena as she is a star employee!

Yelp
not a bad burger for $6.99. can't really beat in and out but hey, it's seattle. definitely recommend the pasadena burger!

Yelp
This place is good but damn the wait time is horrible! The electronic arm is entertaining to watch but still the wait time doesn't make up for the slowness of service.

James S.

Yelp
Caliburger's offerings were underwhelming, with burgers lacking distinct flavors in a competitive market. However, their fries are a highlight, reminiscent of a classic California chain.

Yelp
Disappointed - but the good news is there are multiple other good options nearby. I got the K-Town Dog by itself (basically a hot dog with Asian slaw and gochujang aioli). After a super long time, then they gave me a cheeseburger and fries. WHAT? No - that is not the right order. What's weird was that I was the only customer! Who was the burger and fries for? Possibly a Grubhub or UberEats Customer? No idea. So another long wait to get my hot dog. Anyway, the employees really seemed like they didn't know what they were doing. People say CaliBurger is a competitor of In-N-Out - well I say there is no competition here. Sorry folks, I suggest you move along.
google avatar

Dianna N.

Yelp
I had heard about this place being an In-N-Out knockoff, so I have been wanting to give it a try for a while. That day has finally come. Cali Single $4.39: I got it spread only to mirror how I get my In-N-Out. This was a disappointment, both as an In-N-Out wannabe and as a burger in general. The cheese stood out to me as the biggest offense. I even think McDonalds has better cheese. It just tasted off to me. Side note: at least as of 3 months ago in Milpitas, CA, a single cheeseburger at In-N-Out was $3.05. CaliBurger's cheeseburger seems smaller of the 2. Fries: It was an extra $4 to make it a combo with fries and a soda. The fries were OK. They reminded me of McDonalds fries, but not as good. ***** My Star Ratings: 1 Star - Terrible. Just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars - Meh. Unlikely for me to return. 3 Stars - OK. Open to coming back, but wouldn't go out of my way to. 4 Stars - Yummy! Will definitely return if I haven't already. 5 Stars - AMAZING!!! Would plan my day or even a trip around eating here.

Yelp
Fast food in a food court should not take this long to get the order.... No way I am ever back for lunch run again.... This place isn't even busy

Yelp
If you've ever been to In'nOut and fallen in love with the simple, thousand island dressing burgers, this is your place. The name CaliBurger is no exaggeration - they really mimic in'n'out perfectly. The regular Cali burger is basically the cheeseburger at in'n'out. It's got the same thin patty, layers of lettuce, simple toppings, all served in the classic paper wrapping to boot. The service here is so amazing- when I ordered the Cali burger, I asked for no cheese and they took off money from the cost for removing cheese--something that no other restaurant has done! And in the take-out bag, they thoughtfully layered the burgers and fries while including plenty of napkins and ketchup packets. My husband ordered the BBQ burger which had good toppings, but there was barbecue sauce on both buns and the flavor was overwhelming. I don't personally feel like this style of simple burgers lends itself well to fancier styles, like a more dressed-up BBQ burger, and neither of us cared for it. The fries were amazing! They're the slightly thicker cut, served so fresh and without too much salt. Again, very reminiscent of in'n'out, even down to the little tray they're served in.

Yelp
I am not sure why they have such low reviews but I ordered on the table a basic Double Cheeseburger. There was some wait time during lunch on a Saturday but I got my burger and the price was reasonable for the size. I thought it tasted really good and was stuffed really well.

Jamie B.

Yelp
What a joke. The kiosk payment didn't work properly, YET my credit card was charged. After having to explain to two different people, the lady behind the counter had to call her super just to confirm I had paid. She wrote down my order, and I had to wait even longer for their mistake. They couldn't have bumped up my order for the inconvenience. Terrible customer service. Also, by the way... another customer had a problem too with the kiosk. Get some training on your technology and learn a little bit about customer service. Not coming here again and not recommending it to anyone.
google avatar

Robert S.

Yelp
This place used to be really good, but it has fallen from grace. I suspect inflation hit these guys hard because the second second their patties keep shrinking. The last burger I got there had a thinner patty than the bacon I buy at home. I probably won't be back.

Yelp
I heard CaliBurger's rival is In-N-Out. That's ok, the Californians can battle it out while the Washingtonians can kick back and watch. I happened to be at Westlake Mall and noticed a couple new restaurants on the 2nd floor. My co-worker and I decided to try CaliBurger. The employees were really friendly but I think they were still in training. I ate half of a crispy Malibu BLT and half of a single cheeseburger. My coworker and I both agreed the burgers were ok. The size of the burgers were surprising. It was as big as something from a kids or value menu. The other burger joints around Westlake are Steak 'n Shake on 3rd & Pike and McDonalds on 3rd & Pine. Definitely not the safest area. However, since CaliBurger is in Westlake Mall customers are less likely to get hit up for money, watch a drug deal go down, get yelled at, or get assaulted. I probably won't be back since there are other non-Californian burger joints in the area. We all know Dick's is KING but there's other local fast/casual favorites like Kidd Valley on the waterfront, Lil Woody's on Capitol Hill and Great State in Chinatown.

Yelp
This place is nestled ima shopping center, but overall it was a really cool experience. I got a burger and sweet potato fries. The process to make the French fries is really cool, there is a robotic arm that puts the fries in the grease then puts it on the pan. Very cool experience. Quality of the burger was quite good, better than other places I've tried around Seattle.
google avatar

Kristina K.

Yelp
Ordered a veggie burger and definitely did not receive a veggie burger. I wound up throwing it away as employees were not helpful. :(
google avatar

RJ A.

Yelp
AVOID!! Nothing could be further from the statement printed on their cups: "Always Fresh." What makes In N Out a world-famous destination is that their buns are baked daily, their meat is never frozen, and their fries are cut moments before they're fried. CaliBurger is the opposite: the meat tastes frozen, the buns are stale, and a robot arm makes the fries - a gimmick that adds to the sense that the food isn't for meant for discerning humans.

Yelp
Well, well, well; I finally tried this interesting form of business. I am from SoCal, and was interested to hear about this business attempting to capture the likeness of in n out. I for one, am not even the biggest in n out fan, but for an idea of my thoughts about in n out, I could say that the great appeal of in n out is that the burgers always taste fresh, and the price always feels fair and cheap. With that being said, the burgers are somewhat smaller, and pretty simple. Caliburger takes the in n out concept and style and tries to not only mimic it, but expand it. Unlike in n out, this place has hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, and onion rings. A lot of variety within the offered entrees, which in n out has never attempted to do. I can't imagine how much better in n out would be if it too attempted to do this. So finally, how was it? It was not in n out. If you're looking for a clone of in n out, the only thing you will find familiar is the Caliburger option which is pretty close tasting to the cheeseburger at in n out. I can confidently recommend and say it comes somewhat close in flavor to its original, which was very cool to witness. Other than that, EVERYTHING ELSE, even the milkshakes, taste completely different. On top of that, I would say all other options are worse. The caliburger is the best thing this place has to offer. The worst thing they have here is their form of the animal style fries, which they call the Cali fries. I had to unfortunately toss mine because they were not tasty at all. I couldn't at first realize what was so off about them. I first thought it was the sauce which doesn't compare to in n outs "spread". That took partial fault, but while taking a second bite it finally hit me. It was such a strange change from the original source material, that I think at first my mind couldn't believe it. What was changed was that instead of putting a piece or two of American cheese on the animal style fries, like they do at in n out, they put this not greatly flavored cheese sauce that lasts almost identical to nacho cheese. So on the fries, instead of American cheese and secret sauce you get thousand islands and nacho cheese. No grilled onions either. A very bad flavored combination. Not sure why they do this. If I could give any feedback it would be to just keep the recipe the same. If they did I'd definitely do back and try it again because the burger wasn't too bad. They also give bigger portions than in n out, which is great. So if they made the animal style fries correctly, I would definitely come back to get their bigger sized portion. But yeah, not sure if they'd change that. I wish I could personally request the changes for my order. That would be nice. In summary, maybe skip the trip to Cali if you're trying to try in n out and just get the burger here to try it first maybe to see if you like it, but everything else aside from that, don't get it here. Not great.

Yelp
This was the first time I've ever eaten here and all we ordered was hotdogs and one of us got a hamburger, another gentlemen behind us ordered a hotdog and they gave him a burger as well and the world was agitated and we don't know why it was their error. I'm glad we won't be visiting this place for a long while.

James C.

Yelp
Food is great, close resemblance to In n out. Wait time is a little long, food is kind of overpriced and some of the photos look outdated
google avatar

Right S.

Yelp
Decent burger place that is basically an In&Out clone that is 120% higher in price at 50% of quality and taste. And fries taste not so fresh at times. Ona positive note the staff is always nice, friendly and helpful.
google avatar

Yelp
DON'T DO IT! I've been home sick for 30+ hours from a cheeseburger. I called Public Health and tried to find information on this company online to reach out to corporate to see how many others were affected on Sunday but it's all smoke and mirrors. This is hardly a real company there is no phone number and no accountability. In the city there are way better options for burgers.

Travis M.

Yelp
Food was nasty. Their cheese is terrible. The robot arm they use to fry food is terrible at its job. My fries looked like they were dipped in luke warm oil for a few seconds and then scooped out. Burger was flavorless. It even took ~15 minutes to get the food despite it being pretty empty. Will not be back.

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch with mixed results but doubt I will return. Service - You order on tough screens which is not a bad idea except for people who do not know how to use them and slow the line way down. There is definitely no personal service other than being handed your order when it is ready. The wait time for food was not bad. Interesting that they expect a tip on the touch screens when the customer does everything. Hamburger - Actually pretty good other than the cheese. I like the ability to customize the burger and it was hot when picked up. The size is not bad and overall would probably give the burger a 4. Fries - Average at best. No seasoning at all and they could have used about another 30 seconds in the fryer. Fountain Drink - my biggest complaint is that you have to pay for a refill but that is not stated anywhere that I could see. They fill your cup with ice to the top and then the Coke. Charging $2.75 for a drink with no refills feels like gouging to me and for that reason I do not expect to be back. I understand not wanting customers to refill their own with the homeless issues in the area but why not do it Chick Fila style and refill them over the counter? Do not expect to return.
google avatar

Perris D.

Yelp
Every time I order from this place, it's cold, the order is wrong and it's hella expensive for what you would get if it wasn't cold and incorrect every time. Don't come here, you're better off going to BRGR Bar or something. It's not too far.

Rene S.

Yelp
robots robots. I do not like them sam I am. nor do we like the amount of grease used to cook burgers. my stomach is upset from the grease. and charging for a dip for chicken tenders should be rethought. include one in the price so the customer doesn't feel like your gouging so much.

Aaron E.

Yelp
Look I do not know why they're rating is so low. These burgers are good. Get you a cali single throw some bacon on there and you are having a good time. 4 stars cause I grew up on hamburgers and fries from the gas station. Now that's a 5 star meal.

Juan C.

Yelp
This is so close to In N Out burgers, it's crazy. Highly recommend giving it a try! This is coming from a Cali native too
google avatar

Jamaine F.

Yelp
NOT CLOSE TO IN N OUT AT ALL!! Nice try CaliBurger. For starters, anyone can make a burger at home, stack it with onions between the patties , add thousands island sauce and say it's like IN N OUT. However if you're going to open a restaurant, copy an extremely iconic burger, and call yourself CaliBurger, you would think it would be closer in comparison. As a SoCal native, I was not impressed. The bun was too soft for me, the spread was too bland, the cheese tasted like it was Kraft American slices and to add icing on the cake, the double combo is $2-3 more than the double double combo at IN N OUT. I apologize for the negative review. I will however give 2 stars for the burger coming hot and out fresh and the customer service being satisfactory. I can see someone who hasn't had IN N OUT liking this place. It wasn't a terrible burger. It was okay. However comparing it to IN N OUT, sets this burger up to disappoint.

Leslie P.

Yelp
Recently, ran into this burger place after going on a cruise, but man let me just say this, I'm not sure if it was this place specifically or if several places do this in Seattle, but who charges 1.65 for a whole refill? I'm very appreciative that they don't do that in Texas. To say the least they also stop making food before their posted closing time. Yet, the Honduran ladies still take orders of their own known people while declining service to you. They should at least be more discreet. Bad first impression.

Drew H.

Yelp
Dont waste your money, lacks flavour, way to expensive for what they actually bring out!

Yelp
As fast food burger places go I am very disappointed. First off as a taste of California, I didn't get it. It tasted a lot like Wendy's without the square burgers. The order system was nice I liked the touch screen but it definitely lacked the human feel. I waited twenty minutes for my kids sized burger and fries just to be handed someone else's order. Then I finally got my burger and it didn't have pickles. When I asked for them I was told kids burgers don't get pickles. I showed her my receipt which indeed shows kids burgers get pickles. She gave me attitude but gave me a side of pickles and the gentleman took my burger and put pickles on it. Taking my food to go at this point. No ketchup packets but three containers of mustard so I got to take the little cups which of course made the inside of my bag a mess. The burger was okay. The fries while hot had no seasoning. So all in all with poor service, and just mediocre food, I'll find somewhere else to go.

SusieCreamCheese Z.

Yelp
The Beyond Caliburger is great. A little messy to eat, but soooo good. I don't know what kind of magic is in that sauce, but it makes the burger. Love it. The Cali fries are worth a try, too (you'll need a fork).
google avatar

Taylor R.

Yelp
Possibly one of the worst hot dogs I've ever had. The Pasadena Dog was somehow mushy and bland. Maybe it was undercooked. Giving it a second star since it's saving grace for taste was its toppings: mustard, ketchup, and chopped onions. Avoid this in their menu and stick to the burgers.
google avatar

Rpisces G.

Yelp
New location. Food was good, but needs more attention to detail. Ketchup was empty, a bit messy area, they were slammed. I think when they get over the "growing" pains, hopefully they will be more prepared for large crowds, and have a better sense of flow.
google avatar

Susan S.

Yelp
I tried the Cali Single, which turned out to be pretty decent. You can choose various toppings and they offer a lettuce wrap option. Fries were meh. This will be a good option for me if/when I get back to low-carbing. You can order from a real person or use the large touch screens, which show the difference between burgers. If you use one of them you have to swipe a card. Interestingly, there is a face scan option to speed checkout in the future. I opted to do it and immediately regretted it. It's just a little too "big brother" for me.
google avatar

Selena S.

Yelp
Food is kinda pricy. Got a K-Town burger, Cali style fries, and a fountain drink totaling up to $16.05. The burger was juicy and had a good flavor to it. The Cali fries was topped with cheese and maybe onions? Also got a Cali Single which tasted like a basic burger.
google avatar

Arap A.

Yelp
I grew up in Southern California, ate at In N Out(what Cali burger is copied after) hundreds of times. If they tone down the salt on the burgers. They're a very good remake. Prices are a little too high. Almost double what the real restaurant charges.

Denise A.

Yelp
The food is great but the staff does not look at the orders. I ask for dine in and I get it in a bag which I have to rip in half to sit down and eat. Even after you tell them it's dine in they don't give you a tray. They ignore you. Also almost every time I come in they add raw onion and I did not request raw pinion at the kiosk. I don't know what it takes for them to get it.
google avatar

Robert S.

Yelp
Just opened a couple of weeks ago at Westlake Center in a new dining area below the monorail level that also has an Asian restaurant. First 3 trips they got my order perfect but had managers watching and training the new staff, the last 2 trips they did not remove the items I requested (tomato and pickles) when I used the kiosk to order, likely because no manager was there watching now. Pros, I've tried several types of hamburgers, a hot dog, onion rings, and sweet potato waffle fries and all have be excellent in taste and presentation/packaging. Everything is made to order but still fairly quick (10 minutes or less). Cons, not being able to get the substitutions/removals correct now, and I got so few waffle fries I felt cheated - they should probably increase the quantity or lower the price of the sides - it looks bad that the onion rings and waffle fries cost almost as much as the burger. Two of the trips I just ordered the burger and no side because of the price.

Nick L.

Yelp
I came in with high expectations and left utterly disappointed. I ordered the ktown burger with fries and a milkshake. The self service order screens told me it would be 2.75 extra for a milk shake then proceeded to charge me 4.99 for the milk shake on top of the combo. Then when I got my food they gave me a completely plain hamburger. By the time I realized it was too late since I ordered to go. I was also really disappointed in how small the fries were.

Ginger R.

Yelp
Order a burger and waited nearly 40 minutes for my food! Two people who ordered after me requested a refund because it was taking so long. It took them 20 minutes to get burgers on the grill. I don't know what is wrong with this place but it is poorly run and the employees are all just sitting around. The worst experience I've had ordering fast food. Could have sat and dined at a restaurant for the amount of time I spent waiting for my food. Won't be coming here again.

Allen W.

Yelp
Was really bummed when In And Out Burgers didn't make it to Seattle from California. But two weeks ago I learned of the lettuce-wrapped double cheese burger. Fantastic! Love 'em.
