This art gallery is in the French Quarter and it has some of the same bright paintings that are seen up and down Riyal Street, but these are bigger in the a similar style. However. The force is large, clean and wide so you are able to really get a sense of the powerful colors. What we really liked even more however, was their beautiful original glass works: vases and ornamental shapes. Very colourful and cool shapes. This gallery gives you a real feel for the vibrancy if the French Quarter.

I recently had a deeply disappointing experience with Caliche Gallery. I purchased an art piece from them at a specific price, but after I made the payment, they would not honor the price and asked for money. This bait-and-switch tactic is completely unacceptable and unethical. I strongly discourage anyone from doing business with this company. The lack of integrity make them unworthy of your trust. There are plenty of reputable art sellers out there—save yourself the trouble and buy from someone else.

Buyer Beware! I have received so much misinformation and untruthful information from the Gallery staff about the status of my refund for a damaged frame during shipping. I am starting to question the authenticity of their paintings. I was told my refund was mailed on 03 July 2023. Customer experience is not important to the owners.

I purchased two prints 2 weeks ago and have not received anything in the mail. The gallery refuses to return and of my calls even though the money was taken out of my account. This is highly disappointing considering that I had a good buying experience several years ago and the same location. This fraudulent behavior is disgusting and unacceptable.

We purchased our first 3 Caliche originals back in 2001. Purchased them from him in front of St. Louis Cathedral. We brought them back to New Bern, NC and displayed them proudly! They are still some of our most favorites. I am pleased to see he is doing well and his painting style has evolved, making even more beautiful treasures!

We purchased an art piece from Pao. The gallery was beautiful and Max the gallery director was so nice and helpful. We can’t wait to visit them again next time we are in New Orleans for a Saints game.

The intensity of colour and texture lured me into this gallery. I fell in love with a new painting of a woman - the paint was still wet! Scott was sincere and personable The entire profile was in tones of reds, orange, somewhat luminescent and provocative. Please will you let me know if she is still available Thank you Colleen

Yelp
Despite the redundancy of the oil paintings being New Orleans buildings and musical instruments, I did like the styling. As it does represent the jazz culture and a good chunk of Louisiana. Worth stepping into and taking a look.

Yelp
Not only is the artwork here beautiful, but Claudia, who helped us, was awesome!!!! Although we couldnt afford any of the larger pieces and opted for one of the smaller ones, she took plenty of time with us, as we tried narrowing our selection, rehanging all the pieces side by side so we could compare them in a number of lighting scenarios. She was a joy to work with and we are excited to get our new piece home and hung!

Yelp
Love this gallery! We walked in because we like what we saw in the window. About an hour later, purchased a beautiful piece. The woman whom helped us was very patient and explained so much to us about the coupled artist. I proud to have their art in my home and get such great compliments on it. The way the painting changes as different shades of light hit it during certain points within the day.

Yelp
I was at a meeting for my employer with about 20 people and we were tasked to do a scavenger hunt in the French Quarter. One of our tasks was to visit an art gallery. My group came across this one and decided to go in. Now, please realize I'm not a guy that's much into art. I will do the best I can in reviewing this gallery. It's a very nice gallery. They have local paintings. We noticed a sign that said that the paintings are wet. They looked to have been just freshly painted. The lady at the register was not the artist, she explained to us that a husband and wife make the paintings upstairs. She said that they sell a lot to tourists, which I can believe because the paintings depicted local landmarks. The lady also said that the paintings ranged in price anywhere from $1500 to $7000. I liked how the paintings looked and if money was no object, I would consider purchasing one to display in my house. I'll have to remember this place down the road.

Yelp
A wonderful and vibrant art gallery in the heart of the French Quarter. We've bought two pieces from them and look forward to growing our collection. The art adds so much to our home, and most of all, adds a sense of festivity and occasion. Caliche and Pao are wonderful to interact with, and the curator of the gallery (Frank) is delightful as well. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Yelp
Wow, very cool jazz-themed artist in their new gallery across the street. Unlike anything I've seen in NOLA!

Yelp
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Being an art collector for many years I was blown away by these two artist. Extremely talented and exceptionally skilled. Beautiful work with out the snobbish atmosphere! I highly recommend!

Yelp
We stopped by Caliche and Pao gallery because of all the vibrant and unique paintings. We didn't expect to fall in love with and purchase their Jazz trio (blue, yellow and red). We love their work and would definitely recommend purchasing their paintings. We had not issues and received the paintings in great condition, carefully wrapped package. It looks great in our house and we get so many compliments every time someone sees them. Would definitely recommend it.
