We've gone a couple of times, usually the custard is good and my family will go as a special treat because it can be expensive for a larger family. We went today and got large smoothies but later found out we were only given a regular size instead of the large we had paid for, so pretty disappointing to find that out after we had already left. Just be wary when going and confirm you received the right size, especially since the cups are not labeled so it is hard to tell. For any recommendations-- the salted pecan caliche is good, they have a good promo for "medium" root beer floats (1.50), and the watermelon smoothies are good if you like blended watermelon (which was fresh when we got it).

The custard is delicious of course but after spending over 30 bucks any one would expect full cups not half full, we were disappointed 😔 and service didn't seem to care, were be going back to the one on roadrunner at least they smile.

There's nothing better than Caliches custard! However, I did really love the Desert Ice, and I miss it terribly! We love the kids that work at Caleches and often remark how lucky they are to be getting such good training in work ethic. It's a great place!

Google
Caliches has been one of our favorite places for many years but I am disappointed to say that $23 for 3 frozen custards that were half full of ice cream is quite disappointing. The good is location is clean and although the line was long it went very fast. Also the customer service was great too.

What a uniquely grand place to go on a warm summers night. The custard is on point. Hot dog options amazing and the young men and women working their way through high school, college or life are all great

Google
Love Caliche's. Consistent, excellent service. Every treat delights. I can't pick a favorite-haven't tried them all....yet. Kids always love coming here and my chihuahuas love the poochie cones! I highly recommend Caliches as a fun family treat. Bring the doggos too!

I hate to say this because I love this place ice cream but now I can’t say the same. I don’t understand how they think it’s the okay to sell melted ice cream. Every time I come here to get ice cream it’s always melted out the door. I came to have a ice cream not a milkshake.

Yelp
So happy this Caliche's opened because it is closer to where we stay when we visit. Caliche's is a must every time we come to Las Cruces, sometimes we even get 2 treats store during 1 visit. It would be so dangerous if we had this CA. The custard is so smooth and creamy. Plus the toppings that are used seem to be great quality. They are always very quick and friendly young kids that work here. Nothing beats sitting outside on one of their tables on the evening of a sunny day! Also a great place to bring your pup, they have outside seating only and over poochi cones for those without sensitive tummies!

Yelp
The service was good and so was the custard floats. But I could not believe that they do not offer bathrooms for their customers. I thought all restaurants were required to offer bathrooms for their customers. We were told to go to Blake's Burgers across the street! And they call this customer service! Appalling!

Yelp
People have found this location! Ha! But, this Caliche crew has no problem with a line. We visited the drive thru and had a great experience! Delicious ice cream as always and a pooch cone for my puppy!!! So fun!!!

Yelp
Came here around dinner time, ordered at counter as we are out of towners and didn't realize there was no inside seating. The guy who took our order ran over, he looked very much in a hurry. We ordered a cone, a grasshopper sundae, and a green Chile sundae (because when in New Mexico). Green Chile Sunday was a 2/5, would not order again but nice novelty item to try if you're looking for something different. The cups they gave us the sundaes in we're only half full, or half empty if you're a pessimist. Doesn't really seem worth the price we paid. Would not return here, or maybe if I tried a different location they might actually fill our cup more?

Yelp
I try to go to Caliche's whenever I'm in a city with one. I recommend the vanilla custard with green chile. NM true!

Yelp
The mucho nachos were great and a lot larger than I expected. The hot dogs are top notch and the quality of the dogs are among the biggest and the best. They're probably Nathan's all beef by the way they taste. The strawberry cheesecake Caliche was beyond belief tasty. If you want munchies instead of a meal this place will take care of your cravings and fill up your belly with the best junk food in town.
