Like other reviews here, the Biggest Problem at Calico (Arlington,VA) is Customer Service. On Aug. 16 I paid an exorbitant price to have a coverlet made. My salesperson (Sharon) said turn-around time could be 6- 8 weeks or more to receive. I told her that I was on a tight schedule to have it as I would be taking it overseas. She said she would follow-up to see what the estimated turn-around time would be. True, the store was closed for maintenance for approximately the following 4 days but after several more days, several calls & an email, Sharon finally emailed on Aug 27 to say the estimated finish time would be 2 weeks but said perhaps I could pay extra to expedite the finish (why didn't she tell me this when I ordered on Aug 16?). The next day I called to see if she had an answer on my expedite request. I was told by another salesperson (Cheryl) that Sharon was at lunch & would get back to me. TWO days later Sharon called back but by this time it was too late to pay to have the order expedited.
If the store was very busy, I could understand all the delays but the first day I walked into the store in the afternoon, Sharon told me that the 3 customers present (one couple who came together plus me) were the busiest they had been all day.
