How they are still here, I don't know. We needed new draperies in one of our bedrooms, I had great luck with Calico Corners in Chicago so I suggested we give them a try. Big mistake. Huge. Customer service is a foreign language at this store. It started when we went in to pick out fabrics, that part was fine, but when we had decided to go ahead with ordering it just got worse. My fault, I should have recognized that the dot matrix printer that has not been made for 20 years and the DOS based ordering system may have been indicative of inclusion into this century, It took over an hour to actually do the order, they didn't seem to care. We opted to have them come out and do the measuring ($120 charge), this occurred within a week or so, then we waited, and waited, and waited.
In the past I found custom drapes to take 3-4 weeks, this order took 10 weeks, anytime we called to ask about the status, we were told that "someone in the back" had the answer to our question and she would call us. We never received a call. Finally when they did get here, the installer realized that they were 3" too short (Luckily they did the measuring not us) and had to be remade.
So here we wait, no one calls us back, no idea of what is happening, and dealing with the rudest salespeople of all time and paying far more than other place for the privileged,
So again, how are they still in business? I have no idea given their abysmal customer service. Avoid this place and find other vendors.
