Found the chicken as good, if not better, than Zankou. Their Chinese Chicken salad was good ( the lettuce could be more fresh). Currently the place offers curbside pickup only. There is no indoor seating. This place is popular with students. Place can get very crowded during meal times. To save time suggest ordering ahead online. Street parking is very limited.

I’ve always loved California Chicken Café and eat there pretty often with my kids — just usually at other locations. Unfortunately, my experience at this particular one today was disappointing enough that I won’t be returning. I came in to place a to-go order and asked about a few items my children enjoy, including the rotisserie chicken wings. The employee helping me asked another staff member, a gentleman named Luis, how long it would be until more wings were available. Without even looking up from his papers, Luis responded in a very dismissive way, saying, “We don’t have any.” It wasn’t the fact that the wings weren’t available — I completely understand that happens. It was his tone and attitude that made the situation unpleasant. When I tried to ask how long it might be until more were ready, his response and demeanor made it clear he wasn’t interested in helping or communicating respectfully. Because of that, I decided to cancel my entire order before even placing it. Customer service like that doesn’t reflect the kind of hospitality I’ve always experienced at other California Chicken Café locations. I really hope management takes this as an opportunity to provide Luis with some retraining and education on customer care, because this kind of behavior isn’t becoming of the brand.

yuck. I have never ordered a wrap with this much cheese. I had to double check the menu to verify if mine was supposed to have chicken or not. It was all bread, lettuce and cheese. Coming from someone who loves cheese, this is saying a lot. I would rather order a wrap from Trader Joe’s that actually has chicken for half the price or a sandwich from a mom and pop shop down the street for the same price.

I haven't been here since pre-covid so its take out only but from approaching the store to ordering the workers were so kind and the food (as always) was so fresh and scrumptious. I don't come up to this area a lot since we moved out of state but CCC is a must in my opinion.

Please tell me why I’ve lived in Los Angeles for 13 years and only just discovered California Chicken Café two months ago! As a vegetarian, I assumed there wouldn’t be much for me—but boy, was I wrong. I’ve been back three times since, and I now know that CCC is going to get me through the next seven months of pregnancy. Everything is so fresh and tasty. The cherry on top, of course, is the guy running your food out to your car so that you don't even have to get out. Customer for life.

Hip and lively counter order joint w rotisserie chicken, wraps and salads. I had the Chinese chicken wrap w a side of Chinese cabbage salad. The wrap is super tasty and large. The crunch noodles give it a nice touch. Cabbage salad was also light and had great asian flavors. Would for sure come back again.

I really wanted to like this place. We've had food delivered to my office two years in a row, most recently this past December right before the Christmas holiday. One of our vendors arranged the catering, which was great -- but this review is strictly about the food itself. Both years, the same items were sent. The large catering-style pasta with lettuce and avocado was excellent -- a solid 10/10. The side dish with potatoes, onions, and sweet potatoes was also a 10/10. No complaints there at all. However, this restaurant does have "chicken" in its name, and unfortunately the chicken was the biggest letdown. The main dish was a full tray of chicken drumsticks and thighs and I'd rate it a 2/10. While the seasoning was okay, many pieces were either overly dry, undercooked to the point of being borderline raw, or had excessive gristle. Overall, it was not enjoyable. Based on this experience, I would definitely not order the chicken from here again.

wanted something a little healthier for breakfast so decided to get a salad! I haven't been to a CCC in a while so I wanted to stop by I went a few minutes after opening, and there were already people waiting for their orders. I got out of my car to order in front of the store and then went back to my car where they handed me my order later on service was super efficient, friendly and fast! the person taking my order was really nice and let me know they give 2 sauces per order (one 4 oz and one 2oz). I decided to try a different sauce than what the salad came with but unfortunately they put the same sauce in it. it was still good so no complaints but I wanted to try the green goddess dressing overall, a good experience! price point is pretty fair given the portion and quality of ingredients. I would def come back here for a yummy filling salad!

Perfect for "on the go" as you can order ahead and they will bring it to your car! Don't even have to get out. More places need to do this! All the salads are tasty and huge! Even the side salad is big enough for a meal! They also pack things well.

This is the only place in Los Angeles to get a proper Chinese Chicken Salad. It's full with mandarins, green onions, and one thing no other CCS has: pasta noodles which makes it more than just a salad in makes it a complete meal. The one thing I would change though is the hard noodles. I wish they gave crispy fried wonton crisps instead of those hard gum stabbing noodles. Other wise the Asian dressing is the perfect topping to and delicious fulfilling meal.

Delicious food that's also healthy. I usually buy their wraps, whichever has chicken and avocado in it. Catered lunch at work. Salads are great! Ranch dressing - wonderful buttermilk flavor Green Goddess dressing - lovely creamy cilantro, though a bit heavy Grilled chicken - moist and delicious, no sauce needed for me! Sides - The vegetable rice is amazing! I don't know what the secret spices or ingredients are, but meatless rice should not be this tasty. Chocolate chip cookie and Kettle chips are the unhealthy but still appreciated.

Ordered the caesar chicken wrap. The wrap itself is very okay! I'm not a big fan of the chicken. It's cold, unseasoned and dry! I also dont like how its huge chunks, the bites are not balanced. Redeeming factors are the pita croutons and the balsamic glaze dressing. Its a must get on the side.

This was a favorite of ours when we lived on the Westside. Appreciate how easy it was to place an order on their website. I waited a few mins on arrival for them to get my order ready. It's all take out and they seem to be dialed in on getting food out quickly. I ordered 1.5 rotisserie chicken, the Asian chicken salad, the soup and various sides. Even after a 30 drive the food was still warm and delicious.

Everything on the menu is delicious! I really wish they had this chain in the OC. For those who do not live in the area, the drive to get here is worth it. My favorite is the Chinese Chicken Salad (Regular), the Melrose Wrap, and coconut cookie. Ask for a complimentary sauce and a side of Pita bread Drive thru only. Speedy service, too.

I used to eat this place all the time when I used to live in Hollywood. I haven't seen one in a while so I went and checked it out but you can't like sit down there and eat. It's all taken out. I thought that was kind of weird so they're making more money on to go orders and doing less work because they don't have to pick up after anyone or have anyone serving anyone I mean if it's working for them it's working for them and that's all I can say however I would like to have a place to sit down and eat, but it's just the same as I remember it. I remember really loving their ranch and I get their chicken wrap and I love the ranch and the Ranch hasn't changed so as far as ambience goes, I can't really say much about it. I didn't sit down but the personality of the workers Was good. They were nice helpful and I feel like they like the fact that they don't have to pick up after anyone and with UCLA being right there I can see it being a pretty busy location and that they don't need to have a place for people to sit down Anyhow it's still the same after all these years that was good to know but if you're thinking about going in and sitting down it's not gonna happen

This is utterly unacceptable!!! My daughter bit into this chicken leg that we got from CCC this afternoon and look how undercooked it is. What in the world?! Management: please be careful and ensure that all your food is cooked to safety!!!

California Chicken Café is a healthy chicken chain with a small menu, but quality execution. My boyfriend has had it for work prior and enjoyed it, so we decided to pick some up while we were in radius of a location.   This location is off Westwood, relatively close to the UCLA area. NO DINE IN, pick up only. When we arrived, the staff was running around frantically trying to check on and deliver orders with their "drive up" model. It's not drive thru... it's drive up... like you drive up to the curb. We already parked at metered parking nearby, with the initial plan to eat there... but we pivoted for takeout.   After looking at the menu for a while and no staff in distance, we ordered from our phones. There was so much information to put in to create a profile to order. No express option. So annoyingly inconvenient. After ordering, we had to stand around the curb and wait another 20-25 min in this sketch area.   My boyfriend had the Melrose Wrap ($12.25) which comes with chicken, avocado, white cheddar, cheese, greens, tomato, mayo, side Italian dressing. They provide 1 extra complimentary sauce which he opted for the Italian dressing. I had their Green Goddess Salad ($13), cause I'm a goddess, just kidding. It comes with lettuce, spinach, avocado, purple cabbage, radish, cucumber, sprouts, lemon, sourdough crouton, and 4oz green goddess dressing. For my complimentary sauce I got an additional 2oz of that magnificent green goddess dressing. I also added Hot Dark Rotisserie Chicken ($4.50) cause it didn't come with protein as a default.   When we got back, I opened my to-go salad and I was surprised by the quality and stunning presentation of my darling salad. I was like... damn I like it... cause I was soooooo annoyed at this specific location... but I LOVE that salad. The textures are perfect and the flavors were amazing. Everything worked well together. WHAT A GLORIOUS SALAD!!   Okay California Chicken Café, you got me... but next time I'm going to a different location or ordering well in advanced.

I LOVE CALIF CHICKEN CAFE. The food is so fresh and they have great options for dietary restrictions. Also the Price to serving ratio? BOMB. Especially for LA let's be real you leave hungry after paying an arm and a leg in this town sometimes but not here! Do yourself a favor and get down on one of the wraps . As long as the quality and pricing stays this way I'll be loyal

I like this place. They have lots and lots of healthy choices if you are on a special diet. The chicken is mostly Rotisseri style cooking. I got the Caesar Chicken plate with salad and all. It was pretty good. We had not been here in over a year. Place is nice inside. No much room for parking. Owners and staff are nice. Its always a pleasure to eat here.

Order from here via Postmates and DoorDash and this place is good at one thing consistently - inaccurate orders! There constantly either items missing, sauces missing or additional and/or missing ingredients in their salads. I now order from here rarely due to the amount of errors. Just don't expect to receive what you paid for - it will be a rarity if you do receive an accurate order. Good luck!

This location went strictly take out. The hiply covered spot has friendly service. Bright colors mark the restaurant. The food is consistently great and has maintained reasonable prices. Their Chinese chicken salad is one of my favorites!

Today I had to modify a catering order at the last minute and it took me a phone call with the Manager (Yuridia... I think that's her name). She was amazing!!!! She was able to get my order the way i wanted... Food quality was fresh and delicious!! Great job guys!!!!!

Stopped by my favorite chicken place again this week. Nothing better than a juicy breast and wing combo with a side of broccoli pasta and a lemonade to wash it down! Chef's kiss!!! I still miss the vibe of eating in, but pickup and go is easy enough where the chicken stays warm and juicy on the ride home. A ccc run is always a must.

Scary Carcass! I ordered an 8 piece dark "delight". There was nothing delightful about a whole chicken back being in my container. Also, one of the rotisserie chicken legs needed a lil more rotisserie-ing! Then why ask me which sauces I want, if you're not going to provide them?!? Curb side service was nice, but the rest was lacking.

This place has amazing chicken and veggie wraps! Have you tasted them? Omg they are to die for! Try them! I tired like 3 different style of wraps they had when I went to this YELP event near by! They were free! Today I'm picking up an order! I like how they come to your car to deliver! I didn't have to get out! Hahaah

I was staying locally for a couple of days and saw how crazy busy so I decided to try out Robert gave me secret insight to get options and things to try and was absolutely fabulous with the service and the food smells amazing. Can't wait to come back.

I'm so annoyed!!! Ughhhhhh I'm even more annoyed I have to write this cause I love this place! I order from CCC at least twice a month. I use their CCC app when I have time to pickup and I use Uber Eats for delivery. My last few orders have been disappointing. Today, I ordered the Chinese Salad and paid for extra pasta, they gave me no pasta. Last week I ordered the Caesar with extra croutons, they stuffed everything inside the salad box so no room for my extras. Then the time before that, I'm driving up towards Santa Monica Blvd and looking for my cookie to eat on the way back to work- they forgot my Aloha cookie, so I had to drive back. (The girl did give me an extra cookie tho, so I tipped her lol). The food here is amazing. It's healthy. My only complaint is check your fooood before driving off! I don't know why I haven't learned that after the last couple times, but moving forward I won't be driving off without checking my order lol. My favorite things to order are the Chinese Cabbage Salad, the Chinese Salad, Roasted Potatoes and the Veggie Soup. When I order from here, I order for two days so I don't have to worry about lunch the next day! Aside from the kitchen mistakes, the food runners outside are always friendly and I always tip them when I have cash. PLEASEEEE GET IT TOGETHER KITCHEN STAFF THANK YOUUUU FOREVERRR

Yum I got the chicken Caesar wrap with no pita croutons, add sprouts. And the coconut chunk cookie is always great. They are really quick just beware that the wraps can get soggy on the bottom

The freshness, the flavor, and the friendly staff make it one of our favorite spots for a healthy, satisfying meal. It's clear you care about quality, and we truly appreciate that. That's why it's hard not to feel a little disheartened when we see the large amount of single-use plastic and packaging used--especially when dining in. We understand that efficiency and hygiene are important, and that certain systems are already in place. But when guests are enjoying their meals outside or on-site, is it really necessary to individually wrap everything in plastic and pack it all into a large plastic bag? Even something as simple as reusable metal plates or trays, which could be easily wiped down, might help reduce this impact. We're all more aware than ever of how fragile our planet is and how much waste is created from packaging that ends up in landfills after just one use. Please consider sharing this note with your management team. We believe small changes--especially from beloved places like yours--can inspire a bigger shift. Calif chicken cafe is one of my favorite restaurants in LA! I definitely recommend one of my favorite dishes the chicken pasta, very good and savory. Also amazing service and Luis is very kind and provides good service

Since my last review, a lot has changed and the overall experience is much better. If you didn't know, all orders are take out only. The system is efficient because you can place your order online and pull up when it's ready. The staff bring your order out and everything is easy breezy. I recently started getting the rotisserie chicken and it's the best rotisserie I've had. I like to order the backless option done "juicy". It comes cut in big plentiful pieces and is delicious. The Asian Chicken salad and the Classic Wrap are still my favorite items.

Just left the Westwood location and wanted to say we had an amazing experience thanks to an employee named Charlie. He was super helpful, friendly and even figured out how to get the delicious roasted potatoes rolled up inside of our Melrose wraps. So good!!! It is customer service from workers like Charlie that get us to keep coming back... and in today's economy when eating out is already super expensive, that is saying a lot! Thank you Charlie- and you were right, that chocolate chunk cookie is one of the best cookies I have ever had!

Great Food, poor training and customer support! I cannot recommend ordering from this location if you were planning on taking the food to eat somewhere other than your house or apartment. I picked up a salad a wrap to have on a picnic. Upon arriving to the park and setting up to eat, I realized that they had not provided any cutlery. Unfortunately I was unable to eat my salad. On their order page there is no option to check for optional cutlery. Upon picking up my order, the representative did not ask if I needed cutlery, and it was my assumption that it would be in the bag since it was a to go order. Having reached out to their customer service team, they advised me it was a city ordinance to not provide this unless asked.

I usually get their salads. Always great portion size and very fresh. The chicken is amazing. Great sides as well. Would like to see Mac n Cheese eventually highly recommend this spot for lunch. Sometimes they even throw in something extra. Really great

First time here and received exceptional customer service from Maria at the pick up station. I had a hard time choosing items on the menu and she helped me narrow them down. The food was tasty and she even threw in some freebies for me! Would definitely return! Thanks again Maria

I absolutely love California Chicken Cafe! I order their California Chicken Salad with green salsa almost every week to the office. It's delicious and doesn't leave me feeling bloated like some other salads can. The chicken is always perfectly cooked, and the green salsa adds a nice kick of flavor. The portion size is generous, and it's a healthy option that I can feel good about eating regularly. I highly recommend trying it if you haven't already! The pickup option is nice and the service is always good. Not much of an ambiance because they are only to go now.

Was looking for a quick lunch driving through Westwood and this please came across! Quick turnaround and it was juiciest rotisserie chicken I have tried in a while. Chinese cabbage salad was delicious. We also got veggie wrap and it tasted really good. It was take-out only at this location but they have patio in the back to sit and enjoy fresh food. Service was quick and guys were helpful with ordering the food. Definitely recommend this place! PS: Try their chipotle sauce with wrap - really good!

I LOVE the CCC! Always fresh, healthy, and consistent. I've tried most of the items, but come back to the Caesar Wrap, Chinese Chicken Salad, Chicken Penne Pasta, regular rotisserie chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, steamed squash, pita, time and time again. I get lunch delivered or we pick up dinner while we're out running errands. You get a lot of food, too. I can usually get 3-4 meals out of their big salads. I always see firemen at CCC. They need to eat fast, healthy, protein-rich food, and the CCC provides! Because they can get busy, I order on their website for pickup. They give you a specific time and you drive up and they hand you the food. All in all a great place to go!

This is a good place to get delicious rotisserie chicken. My favorite thing to order is the half chicken, dark meat. Nothing worse than dry chicken, so I'm glad that the meat is always cooked well but still juicy. I also recommend the ranch and Melrose wraps. They have good cookies here as well. Overall, one of my favorite spots to grab a healthy lunch from.

I've been coming to CCC for many many years and it's great to know that some things never change. The food was consistent as it has always been and Jennifer helped me and was kind , quick, and helpful!

Hard piece of Cartlidge in a California chicken rice wrap I could've really really hurt a tooth if I had bit into it the wrong way. I stopped having the wraps there years ago exactly for this reason. I would find a little bone or Cartlidge. I was sticking to the roasted chicken where I could see the bones. I decided to try a wrap again and same thing as years ago. I imagine when somebody is chopping up the white meat for all the different wraps, they are just not being careful enough. Does somebody have to break a tooth before this is addressed?

CA chicken cafe wraps make for a great lunch - it's yummy and convenient. They pack so many ingredients into the wrap so it really fills you up. Its also travel friendly when you're running a bunch of errands. I usually ask for a side of caesar dressing to dip it in. I feel like ordering at the restaurant vs door dash tastes better.
