The burger and fries were good here. I am just mad that they ran out of the beef bacon. But it was delicious anyway. The service and the prices were decent.

The cashier is ready to take your order. Pick and choose from the many delicious items on the menu. You have to try the Gorilla Fries nothing can describe the taste you have to try them. Love this place!! Not quite up In-N-Out standard (then again, no one is) however, the food excellent. The gorilla fries are amazing. Burgers are very tasty. The service is good and it has a nice atmosphere. It's a must try if you love burgers, especially In-N-Out burger.

I heard this place was amazing maybe I went at the wrong time or on the wrong day. First red flag was the place was dirty. Four employees standing around and no one can clean the dining room. Fries lacked salt. Burger was not great but not totally bad either. $30 for two combo meals. I’ve had better from McDonald’s. The sauce is gross.

Order: Classic Cheese Burger Spicy Chicken Sandwich Cajun fries Total - $25 Amazing! Both sandwiches were juviy, saucy and delicious but thay spicy chicken sandwich takes the win! Loved everything and definately going to come back before we leave. The quality is 1000% !

I recently visited California Burgerz and had an excellent experience, thanks to the cashier with curly hair. He was incredibly friendly and efficient, making the ordering process smooth and pleasant. His positive attitude and helpfulness really stood out. I highly recommend this place, and the cashier's great service made my visit even better!

I give the burger a solid 8.5 for the US market, their gorilla fries are very good had to order one to go!

I was really excited try this place. I think my expectations were a little high. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. Took about 20 mins for my order. Everything was fresh but it wasn't as flavorful as I thought it would be. The fries were my favorite part. It was about $31 for 2 people. I personally don't feel like it was worth it. It would be an added bonus if they wiped down the tables & seats between customers. If you're in the area, give them a try. I can't say I would recommend going out of your way to try. Just my personal opinion.

The burgers are small but they give you a lot of skin-on crispy fries. The ambiance is non-existent. And, they only have Pepsi products as far as beverages go... and no Diet Mountain Dew!

Food is great, family atmosphere on the grills, and I love their CB sauce. Their soda is like allwaayysss flat but it's not the biggest deal because it's basically free if you get a combo meal. Floors a bit sticky too but definitely doesn't take away from the food.

My wife and I went with the intention to try the food here last week. This place was so filthy inside and in the food preparation area that we could not bring ourselves to eat. His place is so misrepresented online. I have found many statements that the reviews for this place are false. I would not have let my dog eat inside this restaurant. It was so horrible. I walked up and looked behind the counter and it was absolutely disgusting how much food and garbage was on the floor in the area where they cook. I don't understand why the health department hasn't been contacted to look into this restaurant. It really was that horrible. This place is a hard pass. Yuck

The most dirtiest restaurant with unprofessional staff. I visited there on last Sunday. The order taker was busy in taking orders on phone instead of taking care of the person standing in front of him. He took two orders in my presence right in front of him. Restaurant floor was dirty and you can see soda all over the floor. Bathroom was nasty and smelly. I am still giving 1 star just because food taste was not bad.

Great place for dinner I love their fried tofu and burgers. They have so many options for all kinds of dietary restrictions and lots of vegetarian options.

I can see the resemblance of the in n out burger. As a Native Californian, I can say this place is very close to the original In N Out burger but not quite. The curvy fries were my favorite along with the sliders. Will be returning for sure.

I ordered the salmon burger fries and milkshake. It was good. The service was good. The owner was there. The ambiance is similar to in and out, which was the goal I assume. 10/10 experience.

I really enjoyed this place. Came here on a whim on a weekday because I wanted a burger but I didn't want to go to a big chain like Red Robin and I didn't want to go to Five Guys. Yelp directed me to California Burgers and it wasn't too far of a drive so I said why not. The atmosphere is cute, a small place with booths and tables. It had kind of an old Diner theme with checkerboard. You go in and order at the counter and then wait for your food at your table. Service: our food was up relatively quickly maybe 12 minutes or so. The waitress who took our order at the counter was very nice and friendly and checked on us throughout our meal from her spot at the counter. She also came out occasionally and cleaned off tables which was nice to see that they didn't let stuff sit on the table for too long. The burgers themselves or very good they were actually cooked the way that I asked which was medium. The fries were delicious. One of the burgers came with the special twister fries so instead of up charging to add it to my combo she just made me aware that one, was already coming with them so that I wouldn't be overcharged. The bacon on the burger was amazing and crispy and they put a very good amount as compared to other restaurants that give you two small slices. The vegetables on my burger like lettuce tomato and pickles and onions were crisp and fresh and beautifully cut. The burgers came wrapped inwax deli paper and that was helpful when trying to take my first couple of bites it helps to hold the burger together. And the burger patties are quite thick so it was nice to have extra help. I have small hands. Next time I want a burger without a crowd or wait I'll be keeping this place in mind. The price wasn't much more than I would have paid at a fast food place but the quality was so much better. I hope they keep it up.

It was a good burger, but took a really long time when they weren't busy and seemed a little pricey. That said..... It was a good burger. Visiting Detroit and I had already tried a lot of other local fare from the Polish and Middle Eastern spots, so a burger seemed like the right call that day. I went with the mushroom swiss combo and I think it came out to about $15. I guess that's not crazy overpriced with inflation and such these days, so not sure what I'm complaining about. But anyhow, the burger was cooked to my liking and the toppings were in line with what I expected. The fries weren't anything special. I don't know, I feel like I'm just kind of rambling on with this review. This place didn't live up to the YELP hype IMO, but it was a good burger.......

I got the number 1 combo with everything. Food was fresh, fries were hot and crispy. The burger is the real deal all the way legit.

I saw this on yelp of course and wanted to give it a shot because I've been wanting an In & Out burger since I got back from LA... well... i went in and the nicest person (Josoline) took my order and she was so sweet!! I needed to use the restroom after placing my order and the lady before me used up all the toilet paper and while on the phone she hurried up and gave me a new roll. I know some of you are thinking why would she put this, well it's because she could have had me waiting for the roll but she didn't. Like I said she was just so nice and sweet, so great customer service for one.. On to the food, I got the gorilla fries and gorilla burger with an extra patty... it's the next best thing to the "animal style" burger and fries from in & out... the fries were good and curvy, not curly lol... just needles to say I loved the burger and fries there and will definitely be returning... everything on my order was correct and had no issues there. The place was clean when I walked in and everyone was practicing social distancing.

So i take my burgers very seriously . I was in Hamtramck and I thought lets give this place a try. The plave looks new and the employees are very friendly. The whole place gives you the vibe of the good burger in Dearborn. The menu is also kinda same which can be a total coincidence. I took the chicken burger. The burger looked nice but the lattice inside was not fresh. Other than that the taste was good. The size was ok as well. For the price I expected better but it wasn't bad either. Now This is for the owners. You need timo hire more people if you wish to run this place nicely. The kids had made a big mess on the floor and someone needed to clean it but the staff was so busy that they couldn't. All in all not a bad experience

Drove 30 min to try these burgers and it was well worth it. A must try for anyone who is a burger enthusiast! This place looks like a family owned restaurant chain in the west coast . Next time I'm in or near town, I'm definitely going back.

Fell off, $5 shake that is just melted soft serve ice cream. Upped prices and seemingly smaller portions.

This is truly the burger joint to hit up in the Detroit area. I worked at in-n-out for nearly a year when I lived in Cali so I believe I have some credibility when I say this place is comparable. It's not in n out, but darn close. Pricier than in n out for sure but worth it if you're looking to get a good burger fix! Fries are large and can be shared between two people. My order is the Classic CB with grilled onions.

This place has the best burgers, hands down. I will make the trip from Mt Clemens to Hamtramck for one of these delicious, perfect, incredible burgers! Everything is made fresh, which is why it takes about ten minutes for your order to be ready. Completely with the wait! The halal meat is full of flavor, and cooked perfectly. And I love the special sauce. The fries are also served hot and fresh. The twisted fries are especially good! If you are looking for an amazing burger, forget the trendy overpriced places downtown and stop here. My combo was $10.99 for a double with fries (I couldn't finish them all) and a soda.

Everything I've tried so far is delicious. I had their Classic CB Burger, Gorilla Burger, and regular fries. The fries are okay. Nothing too special but they tasted fine. But the burgers were incredible, especially the Classic CB Burger. I was more of a fan of the brioche bun over the pretzel bun personally but that just boils down to preference. What really stands out is the sauce and the freshness of the patty. The sauce is reminiscent of In N Out spread. Very similar. I lived in Vegas most of my life so it was nice to have something so similar to a staple in Vegas when it comes to fresh burgers. Burgers were cooked to perfection, not messy, and not too greasy. You could taste the freshness. And like i said, the CB sauce is absolutely incredible. If you want a great burger, this is the place to go.

A family owned and operated burger spot is just what Hamtramck needed, but one that's a ode to one of my favorite spots in Los Angeles, is just what I needed! Having moved to a new job that's nearby, this place is fast, friendly, and delicious. They offer an array of your usual burgers and fries along with vegetarian options (a huge plus for me) along with homemade milkshakes and specialty items like their Gorilla Fries, which live up to it's name ten times over! A tray the size of pie is piled high with spiral cut fries, topped with grilled onions melted cheese and their 'CB sauce' which is equivalent to In N' Outs 'Spread' (thousand island). These fries should either be shared or eaten by someone who's really hungry! But you definitely get your money's worth and then some! Their burgers are the perfect size especially if you're popping in for a quick lunch! I had the veggie black bean burger which was not too oily like most places that offer meat alternatives, and flavored nicely without being too salty. The owner was really sweet and offered me and my coworkers small sampler sizes of their milkshakes which were nice and frothy, flavored perfectly, and not cloying sweet. While the small sizes weren't any bigger than your throw away water cups, these definitely were rich enough to send us over the edge considering our behemoth of burgers and fries we just ate! But I highly recommend trying one, and maybe even consider sharing it since it's pretty large! Overall, it was a great new spot that I'll definitely have to revisit when I get that itch for a burger, fries, and a shake!!

Horrible customer service DONT USE DOORDASH for this restaurant! I was charged $20 for a burger they sent with no toppings and refused to refund me

The burgers were good and so were the shakes. I just had plain fries (not gorilla) and they weren't that great. They were super busy when we went on a Saturday night, with only 4 workers in the whole place. The dining room was new, but very messy with trash. This is gonna sound weird, but I was also distracted by the terrible installation job of the booths. The booths are all white and there was black asphalt used to secure them into the floor. Very shoddy job.

My favorite place to go! Food is so good....if you haven't been it is a must do to add this gem to your bucket list.

I love this place as they have fantastic burgers! Similar to In N Out, if you are familiar with them. Their fries and onion rings are good too. The owner is very nice and they provide good service too. I've been there just three times since they've opened and if I lived closer I'd definitely go there more often.

The customer service was great. The shake and the food was good. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the burger lacked any flavor or seasoning and the bathroom was disgusting. I was told that someone vomited in the bathroom and it dried up.. why wasn't that cleaned up the same day? Probably won't go back there but it was okay for my first time

I heard about this place on the news saying it was a local version of In and Out Burger from the west coast. I have lived out in Nor-Cal for three years so I was very intrigued. Got the "Classic CB Burger" and my girl got the "Gorilla Burger." Mine was good but I would not say not as good as I remember the burgers at In and Out. For the money a great value, good flavor but In and Out has this. Worth a stop and a taste but for me, tough call between this and "Royale with Cheese."

Saw a Metro Times article about this place and became very interested. Got kinda worried when I saw zero Yelp reviews but we decided to make the trek from Livonia to give it a shot. Personally, I like that they're menu is far more varied than In-N-Out. Their cheese fries for example are FAR better than In-N-Out IMO. Giving the place 5 stars overall. It's very close but not quite the same. They use a higher quality of meat than In-N-Out from what I understand, so maybe that's the difference. I would definitely eat here again when in the area, I'm just not sure I'd make the drive for it again. In short, if you're in the area and you like In-N-Out, give this place a try for sure!

The food was mediocre, like a more expensive Wendy's in my opinion. I wouldn't try it again only thing that was different was the fries and even then they weren't too crazy.

Amazing burgers. That was beyond satisfying and delicious! I got the #2 and it was fresh off the grill. Their fries were like thin curly potato wedges tbat were extremely well-seasoned. Great service. I will definitely be back!

Lovely place. Definitely reminds me of In-n-out back when I was in California. The interior design was nice, clean and spacious. The service was great. Very friendly staff. The food takes a bit to come out after ordering, but it's made hot and fresh to order, so totally worth it. I went with the LA Bacon Burger combo with curvy fries. I was very pleased with the taste of both the burger and fries. Super filling. The sauce, meat, bacon, and everything was just juicy, and so flavorful. Loved the hot, and crispy curvy fries as well. Definitely a spot to try and come back many more times.

This hidden gem in Hamtramck gets my business a couple times a month. In the numerous occasions I've ordered burgers from here I have never been let down. Their patties are perfect, the buns are toasted nicely, and their toppings are always fresh. The last time I went there someone yelled on their way out: "That was the best burger I've ever had!" And I couldn't agree more.

This is def going for an in n out/five guys vibe with the same red and white interior. But it's halal!!! And the burgers were actually pretty good. Patties were moist, not dried out, and cheese was melty. Just missing in n outs secret sauce and this would def satisfy my in n out cravings! It being halal explains why their prices are a little steeper. I got a double cheeseburger combo for $10.99, which included fries and a drink. The burger by itself would've been $7.99 which is fairly expensive for a fast food burger. But I also wouldn't say it's "fast" food because they grill to order and it was about a 15-20 min wait even when they weren't busy. If you're in a rush, I would recommend calling in your order. At least I have a place to go when I'm craving in n out now! It's the closest I'll get to it out here and it's pretty good. Just missing the spicy chili peppers and secret sauce!

We have been wanting to try this place for a few months now. We happened to be in the area this past weekend and popped in to give it a whirl. Since I was a first-timer, the cashier was very helpful and explained the menu. After some deliberation I ordered their double cheese burger, curvy fries, and a side of their CB sauce. My entire order was made to order, which took a few minutes, but was totally worth it. The burger was an above average griddle cooked burger. I probably should have just ordered the regular fries because I wasn't not too into the curvy ones. The CB sauce was pretty good, but not really comparable to In-and-Outs. I would go back if I was in the area, but I don't think I'd make a special trip specifically for this place. Don't get me wrong, though! The staff was amazing, the place was really clean, and the prices were pretty fair.

Walking into this place it definitely felt like a copy cat In-N-Out burger, so right off the bat my expectations were elevated. Loved that the menu had just the right amount of options. Everything that we ordered, from the burgers to the gorilla fries to the shakes, satisfied our cravings. Definitely will be a repeat customer.

Legit!!! I'm glad we drove out of our way to eat here. If you've ever eaten and In n Out burger then you know what to expect. This is the closest thing to it. Fresh. Clean. Made to order. I ordered a double cheese burger and was tempted to order another one just because I enjoyed it so much. Probably would've regretted but I was close. Hopefully these guys open another shop closer to the Dearborn area.

Place is great, friendly staff and amazing burgers. Its a halal In and Out burger joint. Ill be back. Place is not cheap but you can tell they use high end ingredients. I actually came here with my wife on a Saturday date night with another couple. We all dressed up in our finist sweat pants and came with appetites and let me tell you the food was filling. SO GOOD!!! My boyfriend recently moved to Hamtramck, and he had passed this place on his way home one day. He's a burger afficionado, so he couldn't wait to try this place. I'm so glad we did! We went on a Sunday, approximately 2 pm. There were no customers in there, which was slightly disheartening, especially since the place was spotlessly clean, decorated in a fun, 50's diner style, and the air conditioning felt amazing after being in the 90 degree, muggy heat. We were greeted by two very friendly gentlemen working the counter, and they were helpful and kind when taking our orders, even asking how we wanted our burgers cooked (on their menu it indicates all of their burgers are well done). We ordered two California bacon burgers (or something like that) combos. The combos came with fries - which were kind of a combination of a fry/chip hybrid. They were delicious on their own, or would hold up well for their gorilla style fries (loaded fries with cheese, bacon, etc). The burgers were fresh and delicious, the service was great...we will definitely be back!

This is a In N Out Burger halal style, and they do a very good imitation. Ordered the single cb burger and a double cheese burger (no lettuce/no tomato) along with a cheese fries and shake. We requested the food to be served as they were ready, so everything was fresh without one food sitting there until the rest was done. Even though it was roughly 8p, the staff still made good food, which is a plus for late night meals. Ordered cheese sauce with the fries, which was tasty, and plain fries are great dipped in the shake. Chocolate shake was good, but I've had better.
