Il Mulino and California Pizza Kitchen on the Las Vegas Strip File for Bankruptcy | Eater Vegas

"This Fashion Show Mall location is among the chain's Las Vegas units affected by a Chapter 11 filing from the Playa Vista–based parent, which blames the coronavirus for severe revenue loss, widespread rent nonpayment, and a need to close unprofitable locations." - Susan Stapleton

Nice spot for lunch at the Fashion Show LV. We came on a Saturday afternoon and was seated immediately. The place is very clean, staff is friendly and efficient. We got the Thai Crunch Salad and the Works Pizza (forgot to take a picture). The salad is great, it’s refreshing and light. Not too heavy considering the dressing. The portions of chicken was nice as well. It’s a well-balanced salad with veggies and proteins. The pizza is simple, but good. It’s not overly salty and the portion is good for two. Minor complaints would be that their sodas are flat. Also that their draft beer selection is limited. I wanted an IPA on their menu, but they didn’t have it. Saw on their tap they had another one (Sierra Nevada), but nope that one was out as well. They just had bottled. Ended up getting something else from their draft menu, which was good, but disappointing that items advertised were out Overall a nice place for a relatively quick meal and good service!

I visited this place on a Sunday right after Christmas. It was really busy during dinner hour. They had a seat for me at the bar area which I was happy to take immediately. When I sat at the bar. Nobody greeted me. Nobody offered me a menu. I sat there for almost 10 minutes before the next guy that got on shift asked me. Have I been helped or would I like to order? I said I need a menu first. I ordered a drink and a barbecue chicken pizza. The drink was average, I ordered a Grand Marnier Margarita. The pizza had barely any chicken on it. It was like one small shred of chicken per slice. My suggestions if you want to go is don't order the barbecue chicken pizza. The guy next to me had a chicken Caesar salad which looked pretty decent. The chicken was grilled and large chunks or slices and do not sit at the bar.

UPDATE: The food was pretty good, and we took advantage of a happy hour special, which was a 7-in pizza and a beer on tap for only $9! The Modelo beer was served ice cold. Pretty much like last time, our server seemed to not really care about our existence, until near the end of our stay. We were very friendly and dressed nice, so maybe she was just busy, I don't know. We sat right on the edge of the Fashion Show Mall open area, which was fun for people watching. The Buffalo chicken bites were spicy and excellent, served with blue cheese crumble, green onions and shaved celery. The Thai pizza was very good, as always. The barbecue chicken pizza was also very good. First review: Good pizza, but slow service. Unfortunately, we were generally ignored by our server. The pizza is also overpriced, considering they are only 10" pies

Google
Bbq chicken pizza was dry. Sauce was cooked into bread (see photo) no flavor. Ordered it with extra bacon. No good. 2/5 on it. Sicilian pizza was a 4/5. Spicy but at least had flavor. Cesar salad was 3/5. Not the best I've had. No pepper on tables or offered. We sat out in mall area. Only one waitress working that area. Service was very slow. Pizza cold-ish. Total was 79 dollars. Wouldn't go back, unfortunately.

Whenever I go to California Pizaa Kitchen in Fashion Show Mall Las Vegas , I never received a warm welcome or good service. They are not friendly and not warm. Like they are forced to work. I like the food abut service is bad here.

Yelp
Thank you for honoring the veterans today! We enjoyed the excellent service! Plenty of sitting. Music was a lil too loud for me. Delicious bread! Pepperoni pizza was delicious too!

Yelp
We are familiar with Vegas and the food around here, although we are from Colorado. Let me just say this was disappointing. We ordered take-out, 2 pepperoni pizza's, 2 diet cokes, and a half Cobb salad. She said it'd take around 10-15 minutes, nope! Took close to 35 minutes.. Smelled amazing once we got it, but when we opened the box we were greeted with hard almost stale tasty pizza. It was warm, yes, but it tasted like they just reheated a pizza nobody wanted. Like it genuinely tasted like booty. The diet cokes were also somehow flat... Salad was okay, nothing special really. Was expecting more from such a pretty restaurant, looked cozy and cute, fancy even, but was balls.

Yelp
Located in Fashion show mall, it gets pretty busy on a normal evening but we got seated in about 5 mintues anyway in a booth. The bar have more seating if you like but we much prefer a booth to sit in. It a nice little break once you're done form walking all over the food. They have a nice little pizza oven out in the open and the pizza is freshly made to order. Me and my dad got the Works pizza with no mushroom and the serving is a bit small for the pricing but still delicious nevertheless. I tried the cauliflower buffalo bites but the sauce and seasoning was kidna lacking and didn't taste all that good. I think this is still a nice place to rest or to catch up with friends right after a big shopping trip, the wait wasn't that long, the service was nice and fast and it easy to get in and out of.

Yelp
Was killing time before a show at the sphere and stopped in at the fashion show mall for some food. Love CPK. This one is located on the first level next to Dillards. We hit up the happy hour menu with the $9 9inch pizza + beer deal. The pizza was a little smaller than we thought it would be, but it was still fine for how much (little) we paid. Our server (Oscar I think it was??) was great and super friendly and helpful. He provided good drink recommendations and was a pleasure to speak with!

Yelp
California Pizza Kitchen is a casual dining restaurant located on Spring Mountain and South Las Vegas Blvd. You'll find them inside Fashion Show Mall near Dillard's on the first floor level. There's ample free parking underground, at the garage, and outdoor. Inside is inviting and has plenty of seating for a table, booth, and high top. I sat much closer to the open kitchen because that's where all the action takes place. Atmosphere is fun, relaxing and laid back. The vibe feels quite nice and welcoming. They play really good music from the 90s like Boys II Men and Mariah Carey, as well as modern pop songs with catchy melodies. Menu offers a variety of drinks, starters, salads, soups, California style pizzas, main plates, pastas, and sweet treats. They have Tortilla Spring Rolls available for a limited time. It used to be on the menu four years ago and was brought back by guests. The item was reintroduced in March, and it's been on the menu but was told will be removed on June 11th. There's a choice of 2 flavors at 6 pieces for $14.99, or 3 flavors at 9 pieces for $19.99. I chose the 3-flavor Tortilla Spring Rolls (9 pieces, $19.99) for baja chicken, thai chicken, and mediterranean, each served with its own unique dip, it looks amazing and delicious! The hand-rolled flour tortillas are baked light and crispy in the pizza oven. Baja chicken is tasty! It's grilled chicken with chipotle adobo sauce, queso quesadilla cheese, roasted corn and black bean salsa with cilantro, served with fresh housemade guacamole, very good! I like the Mediterranean spring roll, this one is rather unique! It's vegetarian and has grilled zucchini, sliced cremini mushrooms, red onions, black olives, melted mozzarella cheese and fresh basil, served with a yummy marinara, the housemade sauce is good, I like it! The best spring roll is Thai chicken with peanut sauce, so flavorful! It has grilled chicken with melted mozzarella combined with bean sprouts, scallions, carrots, toasted crunchy peanuts and fresh cilantro, served with a sweet and tangy Thai peanut dressing, delicious! For sweets, there's a selection of cakes and key lime pie. Manni suggested Butter cake ($9.99) with ice cream (+$3.25), which is delightful! Butter cake is light, moist, and not too sweet. It had a nice dollop of whipped cream, served with vanilla Häagen-Dazs ice cream, so yummy! Service from Manni and Katie is welcoming, courteous, helpful, and friendly. Manni is very kind and patient to make recommendations, and Katie is super nice, attentive, polite, and she even checked in to make sure everything is good and I appreciate it!

Yelp
CPK is always a solid choice for lunch or dinner. The food is always consistent and is a good portion for the price. We were seated on the patio which allowed for some good people watching. Our server was friendly and attentive. We ordered the elote appetizer which was served with two pieces of grilled bread. It was spicy and a nice sized appetizer to eat before our main meals. For our main meals we ordered the chicken tequila fettuccine and a kids meal with chicken and broccolini with an added side of crispy potatoes. All of our food was good and we had enough leftovers for lunch the next day. CPK will always be one of my favorite chain restaurants for its food and service.

Yelp
Who would've thought that picking up takeout at the CPK at Fashion Show Mall would be one of the highlights of my trip to Vegas?!?! Incredibly friendly staff, efficient service, and delicious food made my experience here a delight.

Yelp
Stopped by the Apple Store today and decided to grab a quick bite at CPK. It was around lunchtime, but luckily, it wasn't too busy. We were greeted by Hector, who was friendly, but he didn't ask if we preferred indoor or outdoor seating--he just sat us at a table inside. Unfortunately, the view wasn't great; we were facing the POS system with a partial view of the mall's "patio" area. My mom didn't want to move, so we just went with it, but I think giving customers a choice would be better. I didn't have a strong preference, but I also didn't want to stare at a computer the whole meal. Our server, Mercedes, was polite but very quiet. I noticed she interacted the same way with other tables, so it might just be her personality. She took our drink and food orders and checked in on us, but overall, her service felt a bit plain and reserved and that's okay we all have our days. For food, we ordered two lunch specials: a 7" pepperoni, mushroom, and sauce pizza with a tomato bisque and a Catalina chicken sandwich with an Italian salad. The pizza was delicious, the soup was great, and my mom really enjoyed the fresh salad. The chicken sandwich, however, was just okay--nothing special even with the ranchito sauce it was still bland. The restaurant itself was clean and well-kept, with music at a nice volume. While this location was decent, I think I'll stick to visiting the downtown Summerlin one in the future.

Yelp
Food: king pao spaghetti with chicken. I really like this dish. It is super tasty with just the right amount of spice (not too spicy as I'm a wimp) and a healthy sized serving. They also give you some sourdough bread with delicious olive oil with a mix of tasty spices. Service: the one star off is for EXTREMELY slow service. Our waiter was nice but they are severely under staffed. Our food took forever to come and then it took forever to try to pay and get out of there. Ambiance: if you want a quieter space, opt to sit "outside" in the mall as the music inside is pretty loud. Will be back just for this dish, but make sure you're not in a rush!

Yelp
Came here on a weekday a while back. Located in the middle of Fashion Mall... our group of 9 were able to be seated right away, but it definitely got busier with a waitlist towards the end. Food was as expected for the CPK chain. The kids mac&cheese with spiral noodles were actually pretty good and a decent portion. The salad I ordered did not skimp on toppings. It was fresh and filling. I guess the thing worth mentioning is their butter cake served ala mode. It was buttery, moist, and delicious. Very rich, so definitely good for sharing. Service was friendly, we did not wait too long for anything...

Yelp
At the Fashion Show Mall and got side tracked window shopping so late lunch it is. I was pretty sure lunch rush was over around 4pm but still had to wait around 15 minutes to be seated. Ordered lemonades, Hawaiian pizza and spaghetti bolognese. Service was meeh. Our waiter zoomed past us several times after taking our order. Asked for some condiments. Never got them. Drinks were refreshing though the ice to drink ratio was 8:2. Pizza has good toppings. Fresh pineapples and the ham seemed like the 'off the bone' kind as opposed to the typical packaged ham. It was tasty. Spaghetti was al dente and the sauce was delicious and flavorful. Portion-wise, could have been bigger. The place is clean and well lit. If not for the food, wouldn't bother coming back.

Yelp
We frequent this CPK location inside Fashion Show Mall, Las Vegas when in town since our young one loves their Mac and Cheese. I did an online order for pick up at 12:15pm and used the 50% off promo for Mac and Cheese. Our order was ready for pick up when I arrived at 12:18pm. I came up to the counter and Tina at the counter was pleasant. I asked for some bread since they normally provide bread when we place an order for pick up. Tina was nice enough to grab some from the kitchen as they ran out bread at the take out/pick up counter. Thank you Tina. The Mac and Cheese was plentiful and had the right amount of cheese and pasta. Thank you CPK.

Yelp
I am currently sitting here at the bar with my service dog. From the start I was made to feel uncomfortable and told my dog is not allowed. When I voiced he is a service dog I got a harsh look. Then I sat at the bar and was stopped by the manager and was asked where I was going and was he a service dog. Then I sit at the bar and while I was ordering I asked for a to go cup with water. She decided to tell me she is not giving me something if it's for my dog. She also told me he is not allowed in here and I should be on the patio. I told her no one can tell me I cannot be here with my animal. I told her it's the law. She seems so bothered serving me. So now I feel like I'm being judged sitting at a CPK having a martini with my service dog by my side.

If you go to the Fashion Show Mall, this is a great meeting place up and have some delicious pizza! Friendly service, clean atmosphere, and great pizza!

Yelp
Wow!! Their happy hour options are phenomenal!! Great chicken dumplings, dynamite shrimp, cauliflower, and barbecue pizza. The best happy hour drinks ever. Our servier was incredible and he was super friendly. Great Service!!! The ambiance was very guest-friendly. Thank you CPK, for a great time!!

Yelp
This location at Fashion Show Mall on the first floor is good for both small and big groups, and I'm glad they're here so we do t have eat normal mall food court places! They have the whole full menu here since it operates as a normal restaurant. Pizzas are amazing as always and we even tried something new. I like how you can ask for half and half pizza with one half being a flavor and other half a different flavor, best of both worlds! One of the salads we got wasn't the vibe with too much dressing, the Italian chopped salad, and the waitress was amazing enough to bring out a different salad to make up for it. Food: - Original BBQ Chicken Pizza - perfect balance of bbq - Spinach Artichoke Dip - great starter for everyone - crispy avocado egg roll thing - amazing and only at CPK we love it! - Butter Cake - almost as good as Mastro's but way cheaper here - Banh Mi Power Bowl - super random but good if you're not feeling pizza or anything heavy atm - West Coast Burger - actually really good and thick, the fries were perfectly crispy and addicting

Yelp
I haven't eaten at a CPK in 10 years or so because all the CPK's where I live went out of business. I had seen they had mac n cheese on the kids menu and convinced my 7 year old to come here instead of eating McDonald's or pizza which they had twice already. I had done the "get on the wait list" online not knowing how busy it would be on a Saturday around dinner time. When I got there to "check in" I was told they don't have a wait list. We were seated with menus and it took a while for a server to get over to us. Once they did we ordered drinks and food. Food seemed to come out fairly quickly the mac n cheese was hot but not very cheese at all. Kidlet didn't like it. They brought us bread with the meal which seemed odd (I assume you would get it before) and the outside of the bread was SO hard! The inside was pillow-y soft. It came with seasoned olive oil. I got the california cobb which was tasty. The bacon was super hard and crunchy and there was not a lot of dressing. Overall I enjoyed my meal but felt bad for kidlet who didn't enjoy theirs. They got the kids fruit for dessert and seemed happy about that. Kids mac n cheese was $6.49 Full California cobb was $18.49 Kids fruit bowl $1.79 Total $26.77 with tac $29.01

Yelp
Host was very rude. Waited 30 minutes prior to opening and let other people go in and blocked me and my party from entering and talking to us like we're incompetent.

Yelp
First of all, we were pleasantly surprised! I hadn't eaten here in years, since I lived in California years ago. And back then not highly impressive. I will however say, that this lunch was a good experience. We were running errands in Town Square and wanted to sit and eat something different. We were seated quickly. And they accommodated our booth request. Upon entering there's a decent vibe. Nothing to crazy. Seems like a busy lunch place. There were plenty of TVs but not so much music. Which is fine, but if it was on I couldn't hear it and would've liked to. We were seated in the bar area at a booth. The bartender was our server. He was a good server and plenty busy when we were there. All the servers seems to be really nice along with staff. It was a family friendly place and also had a business lunch vibe. We shared the Sicilian Pizza and Italian chopped salad. I didn't get a picture of the salad because I was so hungry. But it was really tasty and a perfect pairing for our pizza. Pizza had great flavor of all Italian seasonings and herbs. And the best part was the warm bread and oil served at the beginning of the meal. We enjoyed ourselves and didn't finish all the food because we wanted to save space for.... You guessed it DESSERT! The first thing I saw in the menu was a butter cake I wanted to fry so I set it in my mind to save space for it. And IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! :)) I'd definitely suggest every one save space for dessert there as all the options looked tasted but the Butter cake was for sure worth the cheat day.

Yelp
This location is the best. Great food and great service. Can't thank them enough for returning a high quality thermos we left at our table the other day. Whoever found it we appreciate you immensely. All in all a well run restaurant and really nice people.

Yelp
Showed up to this California Pizza Kitchen for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon. I had a short wait until I was sat at my table. Our server was very quick and attentive. The food was awesome!! I took my niece for her first time ever to visit a CPK, and she was absolutely blown away at the pizza. Great flavor in the crust! My salad was wonderful as well. Great visit!

Yelp
Today I was shopping at the Fashion Show Mall and stopped by CAP for lunch. I giving them a 4 because our server never came to pick up our plates or check on us. The food is always fresh and delicious. My favorite server at this location is Tony but he was off today.

Yelp
The food was great, and so were the cocktails. Our server was fantastic! Always smiling and so sweet. (Our servers name was Rachel) Their half salads are huge and delicious. I highly recommend the California

Yelp
This location is inside the Fashion Show mall and it is our "go to eats" after shopping for years. Over the years, it has gone through a lot of changes. We just dined here a few days ago, and it taste so different now. I ordered the Works and the pizza dough is bland. It taste like the frozen CPK pizza sold at the grocery. The White Corn Guacamole is so good, taste really freshly made.
google avatar

Everett F.

Yelp
Food was amazing! Our server Vida recommended avocado egg rolls, Sicilian and burger. It was filling and good portions to share. Vida was attentive and efficient especially she had so many tables in the patio. We definitely be back for the happy hour to try new items!

Yelp
Definitely love their lunch specials! Second time in a row I went to this location, at the Fashion Show Mall, because their Sangria is the best, even though, it supposed to be delicious in all CPK locations, here in the best, trust me! The personal pizza is perfect size and served with either a choice of salad, pasta, half a sandwich or soup. My wild mushrooms pizza was delicious as always! The Italian chopped salad also very tasty. All together, very satisfying! Service is pretty consistent, the waiter/waitress is always attentive and smiling. Their dining area is pretty big, extending to the outside (mall area) feels like you're sitting outdoors, even when you're not. The indoor mall provides a/c throughout the whole area, makes it very comfortable to sit anywhere in a restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
It's a CPK. Nothing special. Food is fine. Needed a snack. The review is for Zayne. He's wonderful! Give the guy a raise. Made a basic visit feel special. I'd steal him if I were local.

Yelp
I frequent this branch of CPK. This location is very convenient as we like to shop at Dillards or Neiman Marcus. We noticed the prices went up, of course, due to inflation but on top of the increase you have to pay extra for mushrooms with the spaghetti bolognese ( that's extra extra !!). It is ok to pay extra but the flavor of the bolognese changed, maybe different chef or maybe different pasta brand or sauce? I hope they can bring that old taste or flavor back. The Thai crunch salad is good and so as the the white corn with guacamole +chips. They put a lot of avocado chunks and the taste is good. Our waitress was always attentive and checked on us frequently. It's also a good thing that I have the CPK app for rewards so I get discounts. It's a casual restaurant so there's no dress code and shoppers and tourists frequent this place. The restaurant is big enough and I like to be sitted outside to watch people.

Yelp
It's noon time my family and I (1 toddler and 1 infant) we are here to grab lunch. My toddler fell asleep in the car we put her on the stroller and they want us to wake my toddler up and put the stroller away. I don't mind my infant sit in a high chair since he is awake. We get very upset. Fashion show is for family But this restaurant is not family friendly at all.. can't accommodate at all.

Yelp
Three of us sat and two of us got Sick. Daytime in which hardly any customers we come up to the host flirting with a mall employee. We awkwardly get told we can't sit where we want so she can go back to flirt with her bf. I gave two star for the i professional service at the beginning and another star for the staff member who decided to come out and look directly at me and go back to wherever he came from. Two stars for the kind server the only One doing her job.

Yelp
CPK doesn't disappoint. Service was quick and the food delicious. The mushroom pizza has become my go to pizza option. Yum!

Yelp
Horrible service. I had another waiter and a bust lady help us instead. They even informed me how my ticket was lost and was not in the place it should've been. Our original waiter didn't even bother to apologize. The whole time there, he did not fill our cups or provide us with a to go box or even ask how we were doing. I ended up tipping the other waiter and the bust lady because they kept stopping by asking how we were and filling our cups.

Yelp
Certain workers are racist towards asians. Inside is okay, food was mid. Pasta was overcooked.

Yelp
July 4th, 2022. Had a day just myself and thirteen year old daughter. After a few other places were considered we took a chance here. We were advised of a three minute wait so the teenager left her name and we had a seat. Three minutes at best, we were standing up and being lead to out seats. We kept it simple, a pair of sodas and a pizza between the two of us. Six Slices Of Barbecue Chicken Pizza (Three Each) was just what the doctor ordered. One thirteen year old left happy. And if she's happy, then I'm happy.

Yelp
I've never been a fan of spending money on food I didn't like, this experience solidified that. The vibe of the servers I interacted with was off. The best way I can put it in words is a "hurry up and leave" energy. The second problem was the dirty plate we were given for our bread. That should have rose 1000 flags signaling me to leave, but I waited for my food anyways. I got the lunch special, Catalina chicken and Caesar salad. I regret both. The chicken was dry. The bread was so dry and cut up the roof of my mouth to the point where I had to stop eating it. And the salad? You guessed it, dry. I had the opportunity to taste the grease... I mean cheese pizza and that's all I'll say on that. This was the first time in my life I've left a restaurant w/o a to-go box, because I didn't like the food. I hate to say it, but I will not be returning. I wish you all the best.

Yelp
Hubby and I were shopping at the mall and decided to have dinner at cpk around 6pm on a Friday May 2nd. There were hardly any diners so we figured we would get seated right away. The host was missing from her station and I literally had to walk pass the podium to get someone's attention. We finally got seated in the patio area after waiting for a while. However; no server came by to tend to us, not even a simple gesture of " I will be right you" for nearly 10 minutes and there were hardly any diners in the restaurant. Either the restaurant was short staff and just lack customer service. Never again .

Benjamin R.

Yelp
Service poor, Food was mediocre at best. Spoke to the manager about the service and the food and didn't seem to care.

Sara M.

Yelp
Went in to have lunch and left because the hostess said they had no space although half of the restaurant was empty! (not enough servers) If I was the manager I would be so upset. Right thing to do was to give the server an extra table on another area.

Yelp
CPK is My fiancé favorite restaurant to go to! Whenever he has a craving for their carne asada pizza, we would come here. It was a perfect lunch spot to go to after we go to our LEGO store run and walk around the mall. We got our usual carne asada pizza and decided to get some appetizers: the chicken lettuce wrap and the Sweet Honey Bee Focaccia. Both were great choices. It was my fiancés first time trying the chicken lettuce wrap and he loved it. Makes him get some veggies in since he doesn't like veggies often lol. We also tried the Sweet Honey Bee focaccia which had a great balance between sweet, spicy and savory. I was hesitant in trying it at first but it tasted great!

Yelp
There's a waiter that works there that really needs to cover his long beard. Not good.

Yelp
The hostess was very nice and tentative, our server Rachel was nice and provided us with a good service. We stopped just to have a small snack. They had their happy hour, so I order a personal pizza with a drink and my granddaughter a pasta kids meal. Her pasta could of use more Alfredo sauce,

Yelp
Mirage location. I haven't eaten at this location since Steve Wynn owned the place! Many years ago, Steve Wynn did own the only 2 non company owned CPK's in the nation. I came in from California to help support this most valuable restaurant brand in the world at the time, while Vegas was suffering a labor dispute. In those 2 weeks I did meet Steve and I worked my butt off 16 days in a row but my stay at the Mirage was very memorable and that time in that kitchen was both fun and exhausting. This weekend's visit stirred all those memories so I had to order my meal using the CPK staff lingo and order ticket language. When meals arrived, I was pleased to see that the quality, freshness was still abound. Service was efficient and kind, my 2 favorite things a server can offer. CPK has come a long way since the original 14 stores and the menu is much bigger now, but I stick with the classics and still enjoy the food here.

Yelp
This ONE restaurant inside the fashion show mall is disrespectful and racist. I've been sitting here for 34 minutes without one person coming up to ask me, do I need to order? And then when I asked the manager or one of the managers am I able to get service? He brushed me off but still took my order, but he didn't take it seriously enough for me.

Yelp
After shopping at fashion show mall we stopped by for some lunch. Ordered some refreshing drinks, shrimp scampi zucchini and chicken piccata. Tony was our server and he was solid. Though we didn't have pizza, our dishes were quite delicious. Restaurant is nice with a relaxing feel. Drop on it and check them out.
