I often eat here after I get my nails done and they never disappoint. The service is always inviting and the food is fresh and delicious.

Food is great, with large portions. Service is super. Prices are bit high. But it is in town center and the rent is probably high. One other negative is the parking. But there is a parking garage within the same block and that is very helpful.

Amazing place to eat when we visited in VA Beach. A huge variety of food to choose from, excellent service, casual yet classy and comfortable atmosphere. I got the avocado egg rolls and they were phenomenal. I wish we had this restaurant in Martinsburg!

It's been awhile with the Norfolk location closed, but they have several new options on the menu!! Great service today and my favorite 'tizer, the Avocado Egg Rolls, still did not disappoint 😋. The 5 Cheese & Tomato Pizza was really good with pepperoni added. The Ham & Swiss Pizza was delicious, as was the NEW - NEAPOLITAN BURRATA PIZZA with housemade Neapolitan pizza sauce, slow-roasted cherry tomatoes, and Parmesan with creamy burrata, extra virgin olive oil, and fresh basil. So good with red sauce!!! Glad I stopped in today!!!!!

First experience at CPK. It was average. Granted I didn't try the pizza here, we did try the chicken salad which I personally thought was rather bland. Also got the avocado rolls which weren't bad but weren't spectacular either. I will say the rolls were filling. Maybe I would give this place another go in the future.

Two times in 2 weeks they left an entire meal out of our to-go order, and also incorrectly made another order. The first time they sent us a $25 gift card in the mail, which merely covered the cost of the pizza we didn't have. The second time they acted shocked that I asked for a refund on the entire order, as if it wasn't a big deal that they forgot my 4-year-old's entire meal after I drove 1 hour round trip. Manager agreed to refund and then hung up. We love the food, but will never take out from this location again. Shame.

An absolute fav! The butter cake with ice cream is the best and the service is always good. I enjoy their pizzas even though so are ready made so you can’t opt out on some toppings. Also would be nice if some of their lunch pizzas were available for dinner. Can be a little pricey. Good margaritas.

This is a very neat place to get Pizza. I went there with my friend for my birthday and the service was great, not too bad and the pizza was great. I enjoyed it. If you're in the Town Center and want to go to a pizza place, then this is the place to go to. I give a 100 to this place and thank you so much for this cheese pizza.

First time me coming. Love the atmosphere and the service was good. Pizza was flavorful but could be cooked a little more. I also had spinach artichoke dip it was really good. Also had strawberry lemonade, it was pricy but unlimited refills which was nice

I've been to other California pizzas, but this is my first visit at this location. Seated immediately. The restaurant was pretty empty. It was a Sunday afternoon. I was actually surprised that it wasn't busier. Our server came over to the table Right away, and offered us water and asked if we were ready to place an order for drinks. We replaced our order. I had ordered the chicken dumplings which I've had at the CT location. I actually liked them a lot when I had them there so I was excited to have them again my friend and I ordered a pizza as well and she ordered an appetizer to. I can't recall what her appetizer was. When I got my appetizer, I went to take a bite and it tasted funny like it was bad. It was a really weird taste that was offputting took a while before the server came back. I informed him or I should say I tried to inform him that something was wrong he took the plate so quickly and brought it back to the kitchen never asking if I wanted something else or if I wanted them to re-cook them never making mention of anything. Honestly, it seemed like he was upset. That changed the whole tone of the visit. The pizza came out shortly after the pizza was very good had a lot of flavor. It was just smaller than I anticipated it would be. I am on the fence about this location. I might attempt to try it again and hopefully have a different server the server had some sort of attitude and I can sense it when I watched him with other tables as well. Sorry, I did not get a picture of the potstickers. Unfortunately they were taken back too quickly and I was not offered another serving of them. I thought he was gonna offer me something else like I stated earlier my apologies.

Quick and tasty! Besides pizza, the CPK menu includes a variety of pasta dishes that vary greatly. The drink menu is ample and the desserts never disappoint. The service is typically efficient and friendly. This is a reliable stop in VB town center!

We went to California pizza kitchen today 4/29/ 25 and unfortunately had Nick as our server. Nick was rude and disrespectful. He acted as if we were a bother. We waited 10 minutes before he even came to our table..... the service was dismal and the food was overpriced. AVOID this place it's not wort the trouble.

This was my second time visiting CPK, and once again, it offered a welcoming environment -- a great place to hang out with friends and family. The food was delicious, especially the Dynamite Shrimp and we loved the complementary bread. Our waitress was exceptional; she was attentive and provided excellent service.

The staff at California Pizza Kitchen always provide excellent service. the workers I've experienced in the past year have had a positive, customer first attitude. I've dined in a few time in the past enjoying their flatbreads and pizzas. The buffalo cauliflower bites were a bit too hot for me but my mother enjoyed them. Lately I've been getting take-out for my orders. I've been favoring the desserts. The butter cake is always a winner, it is dense, rich, and incredibly sweet. If getting it to go, ensure your whipped cream is on the side. Lately I've switched to the delicious but less sweet red velvet cake. CPK is a great spot for lunch weather dining alone or with friends. There is plenty of space and tons of seating here.

Came here for lunch on Saturday afternoon so it was pretty busy but our table of 5 got sat right away. We had a wonderful waitress - Dilan. She was so sweet. Everyone got pasta - fettucine alfredo, shrimp scampi with zucchini and I got the Kung Pao spaghetti. The other people we were with came here just so they could get the shrimp scampi because they say it's the best around. That's a big compliment. My Kung Pao spaghetti was spicy and good. If you can't do spicy then do not get this meal. I am not sure if bread comes with the meals or if you have to ask or you pay for it but I wish we had some bread. Our water was never empty. The dining room has plenty of sitting, is bright and clean. If I go back I would want to try the pizza. They do have a rewards program and if you sign up you get a free appetizer but not that day unless you sign up ahead of time.

My wife and I keep coming back to CPK because of the great service and the consistently great quality dishes. On this visit, Abigail was our server and she very friendly and gave us tremendous service. CPK servers consistently give us great service and truly one of the reasons we keep coming back. We split a pizza with salad. Everything tastes very fresh. We sat outside for some great people watching. Definitely will be back.

I forget how much I like CPK until I come back once in a while. LOCATION: This CPK is located in the town center, near shops and theatre. They have outdoor seating and a large indoor seating. FOOD: We had the bbq pizza, wontons, and a salad. All big proportions for the price, we ended up taking some home. SERVICE: The server we had was so great! She checked in on us regularly and answered all our questions about the menu. Would I come back? Yeah! I would.

Usually quick to be seated. Friendly staff for the most part. It is not consistant. Family friendly. Even with a clean table you can see that a kid drew all over our table. HAHAHA. That is why I say family friendly. I like that they have a great list of MOCKTAILS. They are usually cheaper than the regular cocktails. Most of my family does not drink so we enjoy a mocktail when we are with them. *Fresh strawberry mango cooler - is my absolute favorite. fresh fruit with the only sweetness being the juice of mango and guava and I think they add gingerale to make it sparkling. It is not as sweet as a soda. IT is much more refreshing and I could drink these all night. *Desert Pear Lemonade - Is visually stunning. Very pink when it comes to the table with a beautiful fresh sprig of mint. IT is tart and not carbinated. It is a good lemonade. If you like tart you will like this drink. Pizza is good. We get all of them and have been very saticfied. Consistantly good. The pasta is steaming hot and like comfort food. The burgers and potatoe planks are awesome. *Spinach artichoke dip is so good. I think I could get that just as a meal, My only complaint it is a bit small. Plenty of chips but not enough dip. But it could be because we all like it so much. The only reason I give it a 4 instead of a 5 service is not always great. And sometimes the tables can be a little dirty. Other than that the food is great.

Met a few family members here for dinner on a Sunday evening. It wasn't very busy so we were seated quickly. Placed our drink and food orders and then received the complimentary bread with oil and herbs. I loved the warm bread and we even asked for more (... more than once lol!) Our server was attentive and friendly. I didn't get pictures of all of the food but we ordered mainly pasta dishes like the chicken piccata. We also got the salmon and a half portion Caesar salad. Everything was pretty good, we didn't have any leftovers if that says anything! We also took advantage of the Take & Bake option. You can order a pizza uncooked to take home after you dine in and order an entree. That option is $8 and a pretty good deal! I would definitely return to this location for the good service, tasty food options, and clean dining areas & bathrooms.

Stopped by for lunch on Friday with my kid and grandma. We got the Lunch Duos, Sangria (Happy Hour M-F, 3-5), and Butter Cake with Ice Cream. Jonathan was a great server as he made sure we were good to go and kept the little one entertained lol. It's always pretty quiet when I come here but the food was good and came out quickly. We will be back for another lunch date for sure.

Be warned: if you order the Caprese sandwich the bread will be hot and the cheese cold. When I brought this to the staff's attention I was told that is how the company makes it and no changes could be made. Also, I realized afterwards that the hot/cold sandwich came with a choice of salad or chips, which I did not get. $20 for a hot/cold sandwich! I ended up tossing it in the garbage where it belonged. Shame on California Kitchen! High prices for mediocre food. I won't return.

My 300th Yelp Review Mom decided to finally use a CPK gift card she received years ago since she was nearby... that and she was in the mood for pizza. She ordered the Thai Chicken pizza (she never said she wanted a traditional pizza!), which comes with Thai peanut sauce & mozzarella, is hearth-baked and topped with bean sprouts, julienned carrots, scallions & cilanto. I tried a slice - the crust was a little tough, but overall a tasty pie. Personally, I was curious to try the Avocado Club Egg Rolls, which are wonton rolls filled with avocado, chicken, tomato, Monterey Jack & Nueske's applewood smoked bacon. It was maybe the best CPK item of the lot, although to-go egg rolls mean they'll be a little soggy. My entree was the California Caprese, which comes with Roma tomatoes, fresh basil, cucumbers, mozzarella & a homemade lemon herb vinaigrette. You can order it with turkey, too, which we did. But alas, they forgot to add the turkey. The sandwich was good, but that turkey would've really set it off. CPK is fine. Service for to-go was a little slower than my mother would've liked, and the missing turkey was disappointing. But it's not the end of the world - the food was good (not great) and portion size was solid. Overall, I'd order takeout from them again. CPK is a-okay. Thank you! JV

Food and service were excellent! Also they have these mockatil refreshers right now which I highly recommend, especially the Fresh Strawberry Mango Refresher. CFPK is always a great place to grab a bite to eat.

We ate here last night, a group of eight. Waitress was nice but forgot to place an order for one of use, so we were all done eating before his came out. I had the "Italian Salad" with turkey breast. It was horrible! shredded iceberg lettuce with a VERY small about of diced turkey(?). Few other ingredients. My wife's pizza was like a cardboard box. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone wanting to enjoy their meal...

CPK, you're fucking trash. If I could leave you negative stars I would. It's easier to shit in a box and eat it rather than get good service at CPK. Never even considering this crappy restaurant again. They could ask me if I wanted to die of starvation or go to CPK, and I would just die instead.

Had lunch at the bar, on a Friday right in the middle of prime lunch time. Staff were super friendly and engaging. The bartender was very attentive! She's great at her job. Food was exactly what I wanted for lunch. Exceeded my expectations. Although I've always lover CPK, I was just extra pleased with everything today. Can't wait to come back!!

First time at this place and the pizza and salad I ordered tasted fresh and full of flavor! They have specials like a pizza/salad combo.

I loved the ordering experience and the taste of food. I placed the order online and everything was ready when I went to pick it up. I ordered two lunch combos. 7" BBQ Chicken pizza and Mushroom and pepperoni pizza with tomato soup. Everything tasted excellent. The pizza had good amount of toppings and cheese on. The crust was perfect for dipping in the soup. The soup had the right amount of tangy taste without it being too heavy. But the portion sizes were sad. I understand it's lunch sized combo but the side bread for the soup made me feel extra extra sad. It was basically a piece of bread cut in half for two people. Go look at it in the picture and tell me how that's not sad. And it was extra sad because it actually also tasted great and I would have loved to at least have a whole slice for myself!! Anyhow, the next time I'm in town, I ought to try ordering everything in full sizes. The location of this restaurant is walking distance from the Westin Hotel and it's perfect for when you want to just watch Netflix and relax.

There is a reason why this restaurant is the emptiest restaurant in the town center. After visiting Yard House and finding out the wait time was over an hour, we decided to head on to CPK because we saw it was empty from outside and because we were extra hungry. Overall the service was non-existent. The server took 5 minutes to greet us, 15 minutes to get our drinks out, and food took 30 minutes to come out. The server never even checked on us once. We had to ask the food runners or other servers the get the attention of our server. Maybe it was cause the service ruined my appetite but the food was mediocre at best. *Note to self: just wait out the 1 hour wait next time for a better dining experience at Yard House. *

I am ashamed to say this, but this is my FIRST time experiencing CPK. What is wrong with me? You all knew it was this good and just didn't tell me? We Ordered two "loaded" focaccia breads--smashed avocado and the hot honey bee. The vegan in me was in LOVE after one bite of that crunchy twist on "avocado toast". Now I'm a snob when it comes to my avocado toast. The topping had to be as warm (or even hotter than the bread). And this CPK focaccia was spot on! My only complaint is that it didn't come pre-sliced (like the hot honey bee did). Trying to slide this crunchy bread with a knife brought to the table by my server on a dinner plate was a recipe for disaster! It was too hard, the plate was too slippery,and I had to catch my food from becoming a projectile. I would suggest it arrive already sliced. Hot honey bee focaccia was PURE PERFECTION. My husband described it as a union of Capicola ham, Gorgonzola and red chili honey that should be illegal! That crunch of the focaccia is not for the inexperienced--you have to fight for the flavor with that bread--and it's worth the duel!! The Italian chopped salad was, well a salad. It was not anything spectacular, but it was plentiful and could have been shared with 2 to 3 people. But let me take a station break for that butter cake... give me a minute to gather my thoughts...are you supposed to CRY at the table with the spoon still sticking out of your mouth in a public restaurant? Can you drop down on one knee and propose to a cake in front of complete strangers? I'm not saying which one I did but I'm wearing sunglasses to cover my red eyes and I'm going wedding dress shopping in the morning! I fell in LOVE with Butter Cake today! It is aptly named and I regret agreeing to SHARE this soft, moist deliciousness with my husband. Next time (oh, there WILL BE a next time), I will order the butter cake as my appetizer!

My girlfriend's and I came here for one of our birthdays. We always like to try new places. It was easy to find and conveniently located next to parking garages. The server was friendly and fast. The food was delicious and I liked how bright and inviting the inside was. I will definitely come back.

California Pizza Kitchen is one of my Grandma's favorite chain restaurants. We only get one thing when we go...Jambalaya Linguini Fini with extra sauce! And let me tell you they provide a huge portion of Jambalaya loaded with blackened chicken and shrimp, andouille sausage and tasso ham in a spicy cajun sauce. Make sure you get it saucy too! My favorite California Pizza Kitchen location in the 757 is at the Virginia Beach Town Center. Note: Town Center Restaurant Week is from March 21-27, 2022.

This was my first time every trying California Pizza Kitchen and I am already looking for one near me. Parking not an issue, store nice and clean waitress was very nicr. The pizza was brick oven cooked. Crust was peas f the Caesar salad I had set it off!! My phone died and I couldn't take any pictures. Just take my word for it...

I love coming to this location for CPK, the decor of the restaurant, the servers, and THE FOOD are great reasons to come. Whenever I go to CPK, for my main course, I always order the Spicy Milano pizza. I know I should probably branch out and try other things on the menu but I'll just stick with ordering that banger for now. The Spicy Milano is one of the few pizzas I've tried where I can completely enjoy it solo dolo. I don't feel the need to add crushed red peppers or grated parmesan cheese. An absolutely delicious pizza! On this occasion, I went with my friend and his wife and we tried some appetizers and desserts. The appetizers were the spicy honey bee focaccia and the spicy buffalo cauliflower. The spicey honey bee focaccia was absolutely delicious with the gorgonzola cheese, spices, and ham. I could honestly have asked them to enlarge it and just bring it back as a pizza! The spicy buffalo cauliflower had a good taste. I would only like it to be crispier when fried, but no major complaints with it. I still enjoyed it. For dessert, I ordered the butter cake and added Vanilla Haagen-Dazs (highly recommended). The butter cake/Haagen-Dazs combo was an absolute treat.

Great food, amazing service, terrific drinks, and pleasant service. Came here twice within the same week. One for a large party and another with just the two of us. Each visit was great and the food was fantastic both times. We started off with the avocado egg rolls which were AMAZING! They didn't skimp out on the meat and the outside was fried to perfection. I got the tropical mule and it was very refreshing. Our pizzas were so yummy and our desserts put the icing on the cake. Definitely coming back again, again, and again.

I'm not sure what happened but this restaurant has fallen apart. The food use to be so much better, the bread was burnt and hard, ordered the works pizza and it tasted like it came from Pizza Hut, the chicken in the salad was burnt as well. Not sure what went wrong but I hope they fix it

Had the 1/2 Thai crunch salad for lunch, Thai crunch is my fav salad on the menu, I could eat it all day. They could definitely add more chicken but still a good salad.

It was probably our fault ordering something besides pizza at the CPK. Who goes to a pizza place and gets pasta or salad?? We did, and we regret it. Started with the spinach artichoke dip, and it looked and tasted like a reheated or microwaved dish, or maybe something that had been simmering in a pot for a loooong time. FWIW, we did eat the entire thing. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't what I expected for $12. A picture is attached so you can judge for yourself. My wife had the Thai Crunch salad, and said it was "just okay." I had the Chicken Tequila Fettuccine. Oh how I wish I had just ordered pizza. The chicken pieces were perfect- moist, tender, and bite sized. But the rest again tasted like a good microwave meal. My kids had the cheese pizza, and it was delicious. If you go, get the pizza. However, there are much better dining options in Town Center. Start there.

Decided to stop here after shopping and was glad I did. I had the lunch special and it was a great deal. My pizza was tasty and so was my salad. The crust could have been a little less done but that may be preference. It took awhile to come out but it was hot so I was happy. My coffee wasn't hot, but the waiter was very nice about it and brought me fresh coffee just made. He was very pleasant and attentive. Great location near shopping and parking garages.

THERE NEEDS TO BE CPK EVERYWHERE! If you don't have a CPK near you, make the trip to find one! I must admit, every time I dine here I am NEVER disappointed. I've never had a bad meal and tonight was no different. I met my family here to celebrate my god sister who was accepted into the college of her choice . The waitress was extremely nice and super knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered so much food and everything was perfect. I needed to order some food to go for my significant other and I was informed that they now have a "take-and-bake" menu, where if you dine in you, you can "take" a menu item home to "bake" for just $8! Yes, you read that correct-- EIGHT DOLLARS for a take home menu item. My significant other wants to go back tomorrow night because it's THAT GOOD! 1000000000/10 recommend.

I've been here a few times a long time ago and I kinda wonder if the service training is keeping up. The service needed some help. When we sat down, it took awhile before our waitress came to greet us. Even then it was rather mediocre at best. I'm not looking for roses and rainbows but blah isn't what I'm looking for. We were in a bind and happen to be in the area and figured pizza would be a great idea. We came out here and I honestly regretted it a bit. Our other option was to order a pizza on the way home, pick it up, and eat at home. Had I known our waitress was going to slow roll everything, there's no way we would've gone here. Outside of the service, the prices for what you get are just not justifiable. Seriously, the food taste was "good" but I'd rather go to another pizza place and get better quality at a more reasonable price. It has been years since I had been here and it'll probably many more before I come back. The competition in this immediate area is too great to be just "par". A few months ago we were downtown VA Beach. Initially, we tried the Yardgouse, but they had an 1.5 hour wait time. Nope! We walked down a bit and found an Italian joint. Same thing. Next! We then see this restaurant across the street and decided to give it a try. Jackpot! We were seated right away! The server, Jasmine, was pretty awesome. She was very attentive and informative. She made awesome suggestions and actually heard me everytime I said "Excuse me." This may seem like it's not a big deal, but I'm well aware of how hard it is to get someone's attention sometimes. I appreciate the fact that I didn't have to try so hard with her. The starter bread and oil dip is not really my cup of tea, but my husband enjoyed it. I started with the Strwberry Lime Margarita and thought it was pretty good. We had "The Works" pizza and substituted the peppers for ham. It was really good. We shared the Butter Cake with Ice cream and it was delicious! The service was good. The food was good. What's not to like about this place

(11-24-2024) I must share the wonderful experience with the restaurant today. I had previously written about an unfortunate experience a couple of weeks ago at this location. But when sharing that experience in a Google Review, the restaurant senior manager contacted me and invited me and my family back for some good food and very nice hospitality. This time the experience was one of the best lunch-time dining experiences I and my family group of nine had in a long time. I was assured the previous experience was just a one-off unfortunate instance and steps were taken so that it would not be a repeat occurrence. I and my family left the restaurant today very happy and the food was outstanding. From the appetizers, through the entries, and finishing with some wonderful desserts. Michael Mathews the CPK senior manager/partner coordinated this great experience, he is a top professional. I and my family will definitely be back again!

They sometimes do not deliver the order that you bought which can be very confusing and frustrating. I ordered chicken dumplings and they delivered a salad that I would never eat. Waste of money and time. Other than that I never really had a problem

Bought 2 take home pizzas, one veggie with cauliflower crust and one regular crust with the works. Cauliflower pizza fell apart in the oven. Tasted good but too much moisture from all the veggies to hold together. Other pizza was ok.

Came here for some to-go food couple times and cpk kept disappointing me. I've ordered the Garlic Cream Fettuccine, 7" Mushroom Pepperoni Sausage pizza and BBQ chicken pizza, and the Kids Fusilli Alfredo. The pizzas are fine. Sometimes they're overcooked but not bad most of the time. The main reason of me giving 1 star is because a manager charged me $1(.05 each) for a tiny cup of ranch and bbq sauce! I've asked for bbq sauce before and nobody EVER charged me and they don't have the extra sauce option on their online order website. I think it's reasonable to ask for some sauce when sometimes their bbq pizza is kinda dry? And the ranch, they have the add ranch option FOR FREE on regular pizzas and most of all, IT'S JUST A TINY CUP OF RANCH. Their pastas are D.R.Y. First of all the Garlic Cream pasta+mushroom is wayyyy overpriced, about $17. And the amount of sauce is pathetic. When I open the box I thought they forgot to put the sauce in it because all I saw was yellow(pasta color). Then I stir it and the sauce isn't even enough to cover all the pasta and they became chunky because there's not enough sauce. The other time I ordered the kids Fusilli Alfredo because everything is overpriced and I just want a small order anyways (I was working nearby so I went there), and it's has the same issue, NO SAUCE. Even though it's a kids pasta that quality is way too bad. They also forget to put the bread and oil in my to-go orders often and not bagging my food when it's ready and I was there already(nobody else is waiting behind me).

Love the location of this restaurant! Such a great area to be in, especially at night and throughout the summer. Went here for my birthday since I got a free dessert reward. My choice was the butter cake & it sucks the ice cream isn't included for the reward! Ordered the shaved mushroom and spinach flatbread, which they need to make into a whole pizza but it's my new fav! My boyfriend got the kung pao (?) chicken and shrimp lettuce wraps. It was good, especially with the sauce and they will happily give you more lettuce wraps as necessary. The seating outside could afford some maintenance with wiping the railing around the outside patio down more often.

Recently had the shrimp zucchini scampi pasta and it was phenomenal. I actually went in to get the shrimp scampi pizza but it was no longer one the menu. The pasta got the job done!!!

3 personal sized pizzas for $51 dollars. I feel like this is a bit pricy, but I have had California pizza kitchen before and I have enjoyed it. However, I did not like the pizza at all yesterday. Very disappointed. I could not finish it. I ordered the original bbq chicken pizza. Additionally, I would like to add, that for whatever reason they thought giving only two pieces of sliced bread to an order of three different pizzas for three people. Not much customer thought was put into that order.

Who doesn't love California Pizza Kitchen? They have awesome salads that I can never resist. The hardest thing is deciding which to choose. The CPK at Town Center is conveniently located adjacent to a free city parking garage. Down the elevator, out the building, around the corner, and you are there. I chose the half Thai Crunch salad topped with Avocado. The half salad covers the entire plate & is a full meal. I tried the Agave Mojito for the first time. It was awesome. We were seated quickly but had extremely poor service from our server. She was pleasant and friendly. But especially knowing we had theater tickets, the service shouldn't have been that slow. Her table that was seated after us received their drinks & food long before ours. Starting to get nervous about time, we gave her our credit cards the next time she approached the table. The bill she brought was wrong. It took what seemed a lot of time to fix the error. And I'm sure she had to have assistance in correcting it. We ended up walking at a fast pace to the theater, having run out of time. I love CPK and very much want to upgrade my rating. The plan is to return soon and hope for a different server. By the way, did you know they have a smart phone app where you can check in and accumulate reward points? Next time will be better. I love your food California Pizza Kitchen!!

Town Center VA BEACH,VA Requested lunch special to go was advised by to go person Rachel they could not do that, lunch specials are only for dine in. Advised I will sit and order, then take it to go. Rachel said since I told her I was doing that she could not serve me. Asked for manager said could not speak with him he on a conference call- manager walked up-was not on a conference call, I advised what I wanted said ok. The server Rachel took my order and when she gave it to me said to the effect - we will not do this for you in the future. Not sure why she said this. I felt this was extremely poor treatment to me and will make sure to let my friends and acquaintance aware of my treatment. Additionally, I will hesitate to frequent this establishment.

Fun fact: I worked here for awhile when it first opened. My two sisters and one of my best friends did too! Anyways, came here for lunch with my older sister. It's always a different kind of experience dining out if you have ever been a server, you know? Or maybe you dont know... Well, this visit was very pleasant. Hostess seated us right away. We were super hungry and started out with their california Cobb salad and tortilla soup. I always order a side of sour cream for the soup, yum! Since we pretty much know the menu without having to look at it we knew which pizza we wanted to order and placed the order along with the soup and salad which we shared as our appetizers. Our server (forgot her name! Bummer, sigh*) did a great job. She didnt bring our pizza out right away and instead brought it out once we were done enjoying our soup and salad. The previous time we visited here our server brought everything out almost all at once and by the time we wanted to eat the pizza, it was not as fresh, hot straight from the wood fired oven. Boo, that's waitressing 101-failed lol. Oh, almost forgot t mention the pizza we ordered! We chose to get the carne asada pizza. Lastly, we ordered a slice of their pumpkin cheesecake. Heavenly delish. Overall visit was great. Our server was amazing. We enjoyed our lunch. Super glad I got to visit, been awhile. Dave doesn't care for "specialty pizzas" so I enjoy coming here with my sisters as we all have history with this place hehe.

My first time every eating at California pizza kitchen can you believe it lol , my experience here was great our server was super attentive and made sure that we had everything me needed . I ordered the bbq chicken pizza and let me tell you it was amazing so so good compared to brixx where I normally go . For dessert I ordered the butter cake this cake was personally hand made by my lord and savior himself not even kidding the cake is so moist it can be a little overwhelming because of the sweetness of it so make sure you get the ice cream on top and share with someone because it's a lot of cake .

To : manager and Darren that worked today 01/01 around 10 something if you didn't like the fact that we didn't tip you. then don't be so damn rude in the beginning simple :) throwing the coasters and handing out our appetizers so damn rude. and cussing us out while we leave LOL.. i really do hope you get fired.

Had the worst experience at this restaurant. When you go to a restaurant, the hostess should be welcoming and pleasant!!! The hostess working tonight was rude and needs training!!! The server was nice!!! Food was ok!! Covid precautions were good!! Don't think we will be back anytime soon. We will go somewhere that wants to make their customers happy!!
