This place allowed a scammer to use a cloned card with my stolen debit card number, and let them either swipe or enter details manually on their Square PoS system, as a credit transaction bypassing the PIN (I also know this because the info was stolen online, not by a skimmer that could grab the chip data). $85 of my money fraudulently spent here that I now have to fight to get back. What's the point of having security features like EMV Chips and Tap to Pay, if merchants still just continue to accept less secure transaction methods. You'd think they'd use better judgement considering that liability for fraudulent in-person charges shifts heavily over to the merchant themselves when the chip isnt used. Use better judgement and discernment guys, most places still require PIN for debit card, especially when swiped.
