Prop 22, California Law Denying Workers’ Rights to Food Delivery Drivers, Found Unconstitutional | Eater SF

"I read a 12-page ruling issued Friday, August 20 by Alameda County Superior Court Judge Frank Roesch finding that denying food delivery drivers the same protections as other workers is unconstitutional; Roesch specifically flagged a portion of Proposition 22 that prevents the legislature from granting collective bargaining rights to drivers and said that limitation “appears only to protect the economic interests of the network companies in having a divided, ununionized workforce.”" - Lauren Saria

Nikki Clark acted against a specific recommendation from a court-appointed mediator. Clark stated that she was 'going to ignore' that recommendation without providing any stated justification on the record. This is contrary to established procedure. During another review / meeting Nikki Clark engaged in a private, off-the-record conversation with the court-appointed attorney for the child during a recess. Following the conversation, the attorney changed their position in the case, this conduct raises serious ethical concerns. My complaint is based on the specific actions, behavior, and statements described above, which I believe show a failure to follow proper legal and ethical standards. I have sent copies of relevant court documents and transcripts that support these allegations and submitted to superior court California Commission on Judicial Performance for review. I'm sure I'm not the only parent who've experienced same ordeal?

Jury service line representative is rude and dismissive. I placed my request multiple times online but still get emails that they need more info. Nicely asking for guidance and assistance regarding this but met with an arrogant tone. Just unfortunate that people like these are working in public service.

Came in to get certified divorce records; I arrived on a Monday at 10:30am and I was out and done within 15 minutes, so easy. Only negative: if you pay cash, you have to use exact change.

Everybody very friendly from the security guard to the judge and secretaries

Absolutely atrocious experience with this court. As tax rates continue to rise, we see absolutely zero investment in our California court systems. The optimist in me would hope this review would lead to change, but I’m losing all hope so quickly.

The court system is extremely bias and in favor of higher officials who commit crimes against lower classed people. I was denied and never given the right to know my first trial date. They read every email and pretend as if they do not. Sorry and corrupt. Patronizing also. Blatant lies were told against me, I was still denied and laughed at. Given the run around and more.

Free parking. Beautiful View. Next to US Post Office and Southshore Shopping Center. The Record Management recently reopened to the Public. It is open from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday thru Friday.

Family courts are an absolute joke. I have retained a civil rights attorney and will be pursuing legal action against the Alameda County Superior Court system for the following reasons: 1) Violating my privacy by allowing third party participants to join my family court hearings in public, and on speakerphone, through their BlueJeans Conferencing system. 2) Delaying my case irresponsibly and unnecessarily for 9 months. Yes. 9 months. 3) Failure to properly notify all parties in my case of postponements and/or changes in court dates. Should anyone else in Alameda County feel their rights are being violated, post your review and I’ll have my attorney reach out to you. Looking for class action on this, and I already have 37 people and their full names to research since their names aren’t private in the BlueJeans waiting room. So I already know where to start. COVID IS NOT AN EXCUSE FOR ROBBING ME OF MY RIGHTS.

Yelp
Nice little courthouse by the water. Friendly staff, easy security. It looks aged in the hallways but the court rooms are nice, renovated and modern.
