CaliKid Burgers 'n Shakes

Another version of shake shack but I appreciate that they offer halal chicken. They use potato buns and it’s a great combination to the meat flavors. They have tasty sodas here as well. Chicken is thick and juicy. Overall flavor taste was a 4.3/5 but recommend this as a great option for halal chicken sandwiches in the Livermore area.

CaliKid Burgers N Shakes is a newish (2 years) burger joint across from the San Francisco Premium Outlet (in Livermore, CA). It is in a sleek new building. The young-uns would call this place trendy. The food is fresh with quality ingredients. The chicken is halal. The beef is Angus. Hubs and I ordered a CaliKid burger each. I declined the aged white cheddar and Cali sauce. But said yes to the customary Bibb lettuce, caramelized onions, tomato, and pickled onions & zucchini. I gotta say the pickled onions & zucchini threw my tastebuds into a temporary confusion. After the first several bites, everything was jiving harmoniously. And that hamburger bun was beautiful with its glossy round top, and bread yumminess. The onion rings had a panko like crunchy exterior and tasted all so fresh, not frozen. Other menu items are salads, fried Brussels sprouts, buffalo cauliflower wings ( no buffalos harmed), and frickles ( say what? Frickles? Frickles in s what they call are fried onion pickles and zucchini). And I am stoked that the fountain sodas have no HFCS. Yay! Let's talk about dessert. They got milkshake. Wait for it... in 10 flavors! They serve 'em with a cinnamon sugar donut hole topped in the straw. Sweet heavens. If one donut hole with your shake is not enough, an order of donut holes is $5.95. Now if they had a lactose free milkshake, I would be over the moon. The actual location's interior dining room is tiny. Not great for large groups. The outdoor patio is larger, not much, but larger. Staff was terrific. Our cashier was engaging and super helpful. Even with the place mad crazy busy, we got our food pretty quickly.

I decided to go to Livermore and try this restaurant. Not sure why they include “Kid” as the part of the name, but I think it’s a kids theme? Anyways, it looks very nice and vibrant here. It looks like a very Instagrammable place because of how it’s designed along with decorations. I gotta say that the food is really good here. I actually didn’t expect it to be this delicious here. I also like you can turn sandwiches into a meal to save more money. The employees were very kind when taking my order and food came out quick. I didn’t get like their special type of fries because I want to try their original ones first since their ingredients can come off different. I definitely would be coming back here again!

I was pleasantly surprised with how good this place is! Highly recommend if you're in the area. Their burgers are delicious and cooked just like I like it! They have the option to cook either well done or medium, so it made it better. I had the Cali kid burger, and my friend got the BBQ. We both enjoyed our meals. The Garlic Fries were also on another level. I'm not sure what they had in the sauce on it, but it was delicious! It reminds me of something I've had before, but I can't quite recall. The fries seemed to be breaded or coated with something before frying. This added just the right amount of crunch and flavor to them. Even the milkshakes had a mini donut, which added a little flair. It seems like they put a little attention to the details when it comes to the presentation as well. Even the sodas and drinks weren't your typical brands. The meal felt really like a high-quality restaurant, but the prices were really good! Actually cheaper than most fast food chains, and way better ingredients. I will definitely be back!

Solid burger joint. Really fresh tasting like a suped up backyard bbq burger. Their thick-cut onion rings were nice and crunchy, and piping hot inside. Fries were seasoned nicely and cooked well. The star of the show was definitely the Strawberry Shortie milkshake—sweet and creamy but not insanely sweet. The cinnamon sugar donut hole was a nice alternative to a cherry. Also like their drink selection. High quality and tasting drinks, like ginger beer and lemonade. Not worth traveling for but good if you’re in the area and craving burgers.

If you like burgers, you will like this place. Simple menu. There are only a few burgers to choose from, but they do it well. All are delicious. I also love their fried Brussels sprouts. There is plenty of outdoor seating if you want to sit outside.

So, I was on the hunt for sliders, and according to google this place had a review for sliders. Kids Sliders. So I decided to venture over. Sadly, when I arrived the friendly wait staff who helped me, said they didn't serve sliders, and sure enough sliders wasn't showing on their menu. What happened to the review on sliders that showed up on Google? I have no clue, because I was unable to replicate it, to see for my viewing. Anyhow, the food was delicious, just tasty and juicy enough for what I was looking for. The only drawback was the price, it was pricey for what my budget actually allowed, but I was tired of searching for a restaurant and it seemed tasty enough so I stayed instead of driving all over the universe in search of another place. I have to admit, this place really did serve up a good tasty juicy burger, with just as good garlic fries. Organic too, so that helps! All of the staff were great, friendly, helpful, and willing to answer my many questions. They also have soda from one of the Bay Area's own businesses, called Alameda Soda Company, while I'm not much of a soda drinker, I was allowed to taste several of the soda's and because they're made with Cane Sugar, they were delicious. The Alameda Soda Company did a great job, hope to see them in regular retail stores soon and not just the novelty stores. The restaurant is not that large there are 8-9 booths/tables on the inside, and several outdoor tables with umbrella's. It's nice, when it's not windy. It's too bad though that the outdoor seating is only facing the parking lot. Not much to look at. The owner, whose name I cannot recall at this time, is really nice too. He did a great job with this restaurant, unfortunately it's out of my regular budget range, so making it a frequent go-to place is not currently an option. But for my first visit, it was definitely a good experience!

Honestly, this is one of the best burger places we’ve tried in the Bay Area. Everything is delicious; burgers, fries, milkshakes. Highly recommend!

This is my second visit here and man...this has got to be the best garlic fries I have ever had! I've never had garlic fries that are this loaded and gourmet. Usually the restaurants I go to, their garlic fries are somewhat oily with just some garlicky ingredients. This one here is the best especially when they topped it all up with Parmesan cheese or something like that. It's no wonder why many people came here. I also think that I'll get the same or better reaction when it comes to their milkshakes. It's like everything is made in scratch. Gotta go back to try them soon. So far, their locations are in Livermore, which is the nearest one, and other is in Pleasant Hill. Hopefully, there will open another here around here in Fremont!

Came here after a busy day of shopping. The food court at the outlets is always packed, but just across the way (towards the back of the mall, there is a shopping center full of restaurants! It's walking distance, so no need to move your car from the outlets. While there were a few options we decided to play it safe and try CaliKid. It was pretty busy on a Sunday but we scored seating outside! Everything sounded amazing on their menu so my family and I tried a bunch of stuff. The big hit was their green goddess salad and Chile Smash with garlic fries! Oh my god just writing that out and remembering is making me hungry! We didn't try their shakes but a lot of people ordered them and they looked bomb, so def want to try on our next trip.

Had dinner here on a Sunday evening, and though the restaurant sign was not lit on the entrance side (and was hard to see from the parking lot), once I entered, I liked the casual and inviting vibe inside. It's a cozy restaurant but with a decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating options. After ordering and paying at the front register, it took 10-15 minutes for my order to be ready. I appreciated that the employee brought it out to my table. Service was stellar with ample employees ready to help customers while maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant. Of course, at CaliKid Burgers N Shakes, I had to get a burger and a shake. Specifically, I got The Cali Kid wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun, crispy brussels sprouts, and a chocolate milkshake minus whipped cream, garnished with the signature donut hole coated in cinnamon sugar. The burger was decent, with ample lettuce to hold it together well and the juice from the meat and sauce dripping onto the tray. The brussel sprouts were indeed crispy on the outside but not overcooked, and bursting with an addictive flavor, generous with the parmesan and seasoning on top. The milkshake was on the sweeter side, but didn't taste like the cheap stuff fast food restaurants often serve. It's comparable to some of my faves from other eateries and ice cream shops. I was happy with my experience here.

Wanted to eat something nearby before shopping at outlets nearby and this was the first thing that popped up on Yelp. Cali kid w/ portobello (5/5): I really enjoyed the toppings and the mushrooms. The flavors really created showed me this Cali essence. Really enjoyed the selection here

I came here to meet a friend and we ordered a burger and a milkshake. The food was good! The milkshake was really delicious, it came with such a cute little donut. The place is clean, the workers are very friendly, and the food came out relatively quick! The issue I had here was how grossly loud they were playing music. I honestly had a hard time hearing my friend that was sitting across from me in the booth. This place is in a cute new little shopping mall that is surrounded by a lot of other restaurants and this one stands out by the cute little donuts on the milkshakes. I would definitely come again!

After being here a couple of times, I can confidently say that they are the best burger in Livermore/Pleasanton that I have had. The set up is similar to other new and trendy burger places around the bay with a very upstart type of look similar to chains like Super Duper. The inside and outside of this location is clean and industrial looking, with the green accents across the tables and walls. You can either order online or at the front, and they have a nice selection of local-made sodas instead of the standard Cokes and Sprites. We have had a few of their burger selections such as the Cali-Kid, the BBQ Bluegrass, the Green Dream, and the Hangover Burger. Also have tried their garlic and loaded fries and an oreo shake (which comes with a little donut hole up top. Using their website grants you some rewards as well such as $5 off or a birthday treat. All of their burgers are filling and well made. The barbecue burger is especially good with onion rings and a bbq mayo combo that I really love. The sauces are a real star though, although you have to order them as extras (they have on occassion just given me some for free so I am not sure exactly what their policy is). Their Ranch and green goddess sauces are top tier.

With all due respect this is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had fries almost made me shed a tear it was my first meal after a fast please play with there menu it's worth every penny. So thankful you opened in pleasant hill i can't wait to compare

The first thing I have to say is that their onion rings are WONDERFUL. They may even be premade, breaded, and quick frozen elsewhere, but they were hot, crispy, not greasy, not overdone, just right. If they don't make them there, then their source gets a thumbs up from me. The burgers and fries are also very good. You can even get your burger medium, which is unusual for a place that's not really strictly sit-down. Good flavors, fresh ingredients, definitely will visit again. The only minor issue was that they reversed the burgers, and we realized after a few bites that I actually had my partner's burger (placed with the onion rings), and he had mine. So just make sure that what you got is what you ordered.

The limited BBQ Bulgogi burger was delicious! Had it with a portobello and lettuce wrap. Cherry bomb sauce took it to the next level. I am ready to go back.

CaliKid is my burger go to place. The patties in their burgers are juicy / tender. The sauce in their burgers is tasty. These are the main reasons I love CaliKid's burgers. I ordered BBQ Bluegrass Patty burger, Green Dream Fried chicken burger and Green Goddess Salad for my recent visit. Love the burgers I ordered as usual. The cashier here is friendly and helpful. The place is comfortable to hang out with family and friends. If you feel like having a juicy tasty , give CaliKid a try. I highly recommend it.

Got the Bbq bluegrass and the strawberry shortie. My bf got the cali burger meal that comes with fries and a drink. Everything was so delicious!! The milkshake had a donut on top which adds another dimension to the drink! The fries were different compared to other fries I had before and I thought it was tasty and crunchy. Can be hard to find seating during rush hours but seats can open up. There is also outdoor dining. Definitely a must if you are in the area and are craving burgers and a milkshake.

Like the name says, there are lots of burger and shake options. There are plenty of veggie burger options too. They look very good, but today I got a salad instead. They have 3 salad options, and I tried the taco salad with grill chicken. There's lots of options to enhance the base salad (with additional cost). The salad base was very good with a mix of romaine and arugula lettuce. The taco strips in the salad was a nice crunch factor. The added grilled chicken was ok - kinda bland, but the lemony dressing brightened everything up.

We wanted to try a new place out before coming back home to Reno, and we saw this place was very close. I can honestly say these burgers are very good. They also had some amazing sodas and drinks too. I would recommend something, but honestly anything on that menu looks pretty good. Service a top notch also. Very nice staff.

This place was delicious! I think they are pretty new but found them on IG and decided to check this place out before I head over to the outlets across the street. I gotta say, their sandwiches and fries were BOMB! Garlic Fries with garlic aioli: 5/5 Fries were light and crispy, paired with the garlic aoili sauce, sprinkled with parmesan cheese. Mmm one of the best fries I had! Green Dream Angus Sandwich: 5/5 Bun was super soft paired with the angus, arugula, avocado, cheese, and house pickle mix. It was delicious. I definitely recommend checking them out!

Came here for lunch on Sunday and it was still delicious. Love that they have ample outdoor seating so we can enjoy lunch with our dog after walking at the outlets. Great flavor and crispness of the fries and awesome homemade sauces for dipping. The bbq bluegrass burger is our favorite!

My friends always told me to come here, they always rave about it. I decided to come here since I was in the area. The parking is hella easy and it's not directly at the outlets so that's good. I ended up getting the CaliKidz burger and just their regular fries. The selection of drinks is cool too, lemonade and specialty sodas. The burger was good, buns were firms, and the meat was a good medium. The star of the show were the fries, they did a perfect job making them. The service was good, I was checked on and the person taking orders was hella nice. Also there's plenty of outside seating.

We went to the new location in Pleasant Hill (next to Los Panchos by DVC). Service was friendly and fast. Shared sides. Onion rings were crispy and delicious. Garlic fries were hot and crispy. Tasty garlic flavor. Frickles were ok, mostly very thin onion straws. Bbq bacon burger was bold and flavorful, plenty of bacon. Chile Smash burger had a lot of toppings, they didn't skimp on the avocado. We will be back

Came here for late lunch after some time in the outlets. The burgers were all right but the highlight was the garlic fries!! Unlike other garlic fries, this one comes with a garlic aioli drizzled on top which is soooo good. A must get imo. I got the cali kid (3/5) which was good but I couldn't really taste the cali sauce. My bf got the BBQ bluegrass (3.5/5) which was better and more tasty. The onion ring added a nice texture to the burger. Overall nice place, I'll definitely get the garlic fries next time!

Haven't been here in a while and I was craving a nice burger. I went here around 7:30PM on a Saturday night. The restaurant was busy which is a good thing. The cashier took good care of me and took my order. The restaurant was clean inside and outside. The music they were playing was really nice. The ambiance was good. I ordered the BBQ Bluegrass burger with a side of there loaded fries. I ordered the burger to be cooked medium and the burger and fries look fantastic. The BBQ Bluegrass burger in my opinion was just okay. The BBQ sauce kind of overpowered the burger and that is all you taste. The loaded fries were amazing. Fries were crispy and the caramelized onions with the bacon bits and their house was so goooood. Overall I give this restaurant a 3/5 star review. I want to try their other burgers on the menu on my next visit. I also want to try their milkshakes and their soda! Their soda is not no regular sprite or coke. They have like in house or like small business made soda inside.

First time trying CaliKid and we were pleasantly surprised! Upon entering, the cashier asked if it was our first time to which we answered yes and they showed us the menu and gave recommendations! It was fairly quiet because we got there early but I imagine they get busy at night because the food is awesome! I ordered my burger medium and it didn't disappoint! The milkshake was tasty as well and it's fun reading the info on the tv screens about the ingredients they use in the food.

My parents come here almost every time they go to the SF outlets, so I decided to see what it was all about. CaliKid features an assortment of burgers (with choice of protein for each), shakes, sodas, and even beers! This time we decided to go with the Cali Kid and Hangover Helper with beef patties. Both burgers were delicious and cooked perfectly. I love how they use pickled onions and zucchinis! To go with our burgers, we got a few sides to try. We got their fries, garlic fries and the house frickles. Everything was a hit for us! The people up front also helped us a lot when we asked for things. I appreciate them for that! I enjoyed CaliKid! My only regret is not trying one of their shakes.

I don't know if there's anything exceptional about this place but the food was good so can't complain! There's cauliflower was a big portion and they were really good. The burger was also good, but maybe I came with high expectations. The service was friendly too.

Food is actually good. The high school punks working behind the counter... not so much. We were overcharged and brought it to his attention. All we got was an attitude. We even left a tip. The owner/manager did refund us. But yeah, this place sucks.

This location has has been here for four years. All the items are considered more healthy fast food. You select a protein and then you select the style of your burger. We had a green dream and chile smash. They served wrapped sodas in their fountain their ice cream for their milkshakes and floats are humbled creamer ice cream. The staff was really friendly and helpful. I would eat there again. I would eat here again.

My husband and I have been to the Livermore outlet sooooo many times, and never knew that the plaza where this restaurant is located existed. The restaurant itself has a handful of booths and bar seating inside and even more tables outdoor. We tried two of the burgers and both were delicious and the ingredients were fresh. We also got an order of onion rings. This was more than enough food for us and left satisfied. We will definitely come back.

Do yourself a favor and try this place!! My husband is from the east coast and always complaining about our burger scene in California but this place did us justice. Surprisingly the cauliflower was a highlight. But everything was delicious!! We had it yesterday and already planning on when we can go back. We went with our friends and we all loved our meals. The place is new so restaurant is nice and clean. The service was fast. And did I mention food was fire!! 10-10 highly recommend.

About $50 for two burgers, fries, onion rings, and two shakes??? Yeah. SO WORTH IT. Bf and I each got certified angus bluegrass bbq burgers cooked medium, an order of fries, an order of onion rings, a chocolate shake, and an Oreo shake. Burgers were SO GOOD, probably the best burger I've had in a while. Fries and onion rings were soooo hot when they came out but I couldn't stop eating them! They were also probably the best fries I've had in a while and their ranch was good too lol. The shakes were delicious, they also came with a delicious little donut hole on the straw that reminded me of Disneyland churros which are my absolute favorite. The service was great as well, friendly employees, and we got our food relatively fast with one of the girls dropping off our shakes directly to our booth. They have so much outdoor seating with a few tables and booths inside. Overall vibe was fun we said we'd come back if we're out this way again. Glad we decided to check this place out and it lived up to its 4.5 star yelp rating!

Stopped by here after shopping. I got the Cali Kid Burger with angus beef. It was alright. The onion rings were breaded and tasted pretty good. I'm not a fan of strawberry milkshakes but their Strawberry Shortie Cake milkshake was so good! It tasted like a strawberry shortcake ice cream. I do want to come back and try their other sides, milkshakes, and burgers.

It was my first time visiting this clean and small burger shop. I was welcomed by Jordan. A true gentleman when he took my order and helped me out to get what I wanted. Fast service. Great staff and delicious food. I'll bring my family again and order more food next time. Thank you all for your great service. It was a wonderful first impression.

Such a great burger/sandwich spot next to the Livermore outlets! The chicken is 100% halal and they said they're working on getting halal beef patties but don't have them yet. The way it works is you pick your protein and then you pick the style. I got the Chile Smash crispy chicken sandwich and it was delicious! A little Tex-mex taste with charred corn and crispy tortilla chips. It was great!

Mannnn these might be the best burgers around, I gotta put these burgers as my go to place if I'm not craving in n out. The service is quick and the menu has a bunch on it but to make it simple, just get what I get a cali kid double patty with the fries and drink and don't forget the garlic aioli sauce to dip your burger in. Plenty of outdoor seating and the indoor seating is sorta intimate but good staff, and definitely good eats

Came here randomly before seeing a movie out in Livermore. It was pricey, but you get what you pay for. I got a milkshake, a burger and onion rings. It was all great. There wasn't a lot of seating inside, but it was a nice evening so I sat outside to eat. Very tasty and definitely would try again!

A great place if you're craving a good hearty burger. I got their Green Dream burger with crispy portabello and house Frickles on the side. The burger was on point and loved that they have vegetarian options! The house frickles was not really for me since they were so thinly sliced that it felt like I was just eating the breading. Overall, decent spot, and good drink options too! Would come again to try out the rest of their menu.

Ordered the crispy chicken smash and made it a meal with garlic fries. WOW. The chicken burger was crispy and ingredients were fresh. Fries were super crispy and the garlic creamy sauce with Parmesan cheese was surprisingly amazing. Mini donuts a la mode with caramel drizzle was simple and super satisfying. Super nice ambience with both indoor and outdoor seating. Beer on tap and lots of tv screens too so everyone can see a screen no matter where you sit.

Great burger, burger was cooked properly :), egg on top had a runny yolk as well.. Really good milkshake too. Beyond hit the spot for nourishment, quality, and flavor at a reasonable price. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. * Halal Crispy Chicken - Hangover Helper & Green Dream: Both were crispy, seasoned well, and packed with flavor. * Crispy Portobello - Chili Smash: A solid vegetarian option--crispy, bold, and satisfying. * Russet Fries & Garlic Fries: Fresh, crispy, and great with the house sauces. Everything we ordered was a solid 5/5. The flavors were on point, portions generous, and quality was definitely there. I really wanted to try their milkshake, but I knew that would've pushed me over the edge--next time for sure! The staff was super friendly and accommodating, and we enjoyed our meal outside on a sunny day. Nice touch that someone from the team came by to check in on us--it made the experience feel personal and welcoming. I'll definitely be coming back.

Been here several times now and the food is always delicious. They have halal chicken and I'm waiting for the day they start carrying halal beef as well. You can't go wrong with any of the sandwich selections and their fries and shakes are a must try. That Oreo shake is one of the best that I've tried and their rewards program is pretty decent. I got a birthday reward and was pleasantly surprised to receive that. They have a ton of parking, service is quick, plenty of tables inside and outside, and also walking distance of the outlets which is a great way to either earn or burn off the meal. Will continue coming to this place and you should try it out for yourself!

Bites: Calikid style with Crispy Portobello (9.95) -Portobello mushroom patty had texture like a medium rare hamburger. Nice fluffy, buttery bun. -components of aged white cheddar, caramelized onions, butter lettuce, tomato, house pickles, cali sauce & patty worked in symphony to ooze vibrant flavas & foodgasm with every bite. 4.5 stars many options to optimize, add sauces. I prefer originalist version, eschew exotic eats...

Ayo, these burgers are the truth. Hangover burger: Every bite full of breakfast could cure legit cure and hangover. Chile: This burger had elote vibes and it had my taste buds doing the cha cha. Their frickles were Hella good with the green goddess sauce. The orange/turmeric juice was thirst quenching, while the strawberry shortcake milkshake was decadent, creamy goodness. It's a must go!!

One thing I will say is that it took me a very long time to try this place again as I was super hesitant when I had it over 3 years ago. I had recently tried it again and although I didn't want to try a burger, I went a different route with a spicy salad and buffalo cauliflower wings. I can't lie...I'm impressed. Whoever the cooks are....bravo to you guys! I've had this place at least 4 times since April of this year till September and it's insanely good. I get the same thing everytime and it doesn't disappoint. It sucks that it started the way it did with my first burger but I'm happy to have given it a try again. It's yummy and always leaves me full and satisfied. The workers are nice and the atmosphere is welcoming.

We love this place! Best alternative for a burger that doesn't feel like it's fast food. I come here for the crispy portobello. Sooo good! The russet fries are also a fave for us! They also have mini donuts on the menu and milkshakes! The place is kind of small but they also have outdoor seating. So fur baby friendly.

I'm not a burger fan so this may be my first and last burger review. Everything was a 10/10 I highly recommend this small burger joint for a quick bite! They have options for everyone, protein wise they have beef chicken and portobello mushrooms. A vast variety of burger combinations. I got the BBQ bluegrass burger, a side of garlic fries, and the most amazing coffee shake to fulfill my sweet tooth!

Calikid is a great burger place! I got their garlic fries (5$) and they were fresh and perfect crunch-soft ratio! The staff was really nice and helpful. The place is big and modern looking. There is seating inside and outside and right next door to the Livermore outlets. I haven't tried their burgers yet but I look forward to coming back!

This place gets a 5/5 for the tasty food, unique shakes, and casual vibes (think shake shack but a better non-chain version). The burger buns were perfectly buttery and soft. The burger was juicy and the toppings were fresh. I had the classic "calikid" beef burger but they have a veggie and chicken option as well. We swapped out the fries for brussels and I think that was a game changer (still very oily though). Top it off with a red velvet shake with a theme for Valentine's Day. Yummy dinner! So glad we found this place

I have ordered from CaliKid many times on DoorDash and was finally able to visit the physical location, and it did not disappoint. The line could be busy at times, but moves very quickly. The atmosphere of the restaurant is fun and good, and is at the edge of the mall, so it is pretty convenient if you just want to visit the restaurant and not deal with the rat race of the outlets. My ordering process was quick, my burger was absolutely delicious, and the beer and beverage selection is also very good. Keep up the great work CaliKid!
