An amazing seafood restaurant on the beach. The restaurant is huge with a lot of seating and the restaurant was full although a working day in the week. They have a nice area where you can walk and then choose the starters, the type of fish and the way you want to cook them and they serve you on the table. The service is very nice as they keep changing the plates and then serving you all the dishes on the plate. The food quality taste and service all very good. A good place to go incase you want to try good sea food. They also have a very good selection of wine, beer and other sprits and good for even bigger groups.

Calipso deserves the awards 👌🏼 I tasted 4 starters and all if them were tasty. The fish I had was grilled perfectly (juicy, not dry, good quality olive oil). The staff is ready to answer your questions and giving nice recommendations.

We went here based on friends recommendation, unfortunately it’s expensive and doesn’t worth based on what we pay nothing special about food at all. I can even say many other seafood restaurants you can find better taste. Nothing is bad but nothing we ate is special at all. Normal seafood with premium prices 3 person dining without alcohol, without dessert-total bill 8200 TL.

Calipso is a stylish restaurant in Istanbul with delicious mezze, fresh fish, and attentive service. The atmosphere is pleasant and memorable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A very nice fancy restaurant for a fancy experience, i would not say it was expensive because i do not see that it was expensive according the the vibe it gives, in my opinion this restaurant offers high quality food, service and atmosphere, but it is not a restaurant where you go to get yourself full of sea food, i do not drink alcohol but i think it is a good place to have food with alcohol (for taste) but of course if you are looking for a sea food restaurant where you want to have as much food as you want with lower prices this won’t be the best option. I loved every single dish that i have tried there, so tasty and well made😋

If you are expecting cheap and cheerful, then this is not the place. Calipso is without a doubt, the best seafood restaurant I have dined in, and the election of dishes, both self-chosen and recommended by the staff is amazing. From the initial greeting, to being escorted to the “showroom” and settling the final bill, the staff were friendly and attentive, without being overbearing. There were some unexpected finds, such as the grouper balls in a cherry sauce, which sounds like it shouldn’t work, but absolutely did!!! The standard of presentation and quality of the dishes was spot on every time and would meet high end dining in any country. The whole dining experience for three of us lasted almost two hours. With drinks and wine, the final bill came to ₺4,000 per person, which is around €120, and although for Turkey, this may be considered as a high price for dinner, you would pay significantly more than this in Europe, and possibly have less choice in the seafood available. Would I eat here again? Absolutely I would, and fortunately for me, I will be back in Istanbul in a few months, so I am already looking forward to it!!!

Service was perfect especially Mr Ercan was very friendly and caring with our table. - food was also amazing - my favorite was balikkofte -which was absolutely mouthwatering ! The only negative thing was smoking - but they also have non smoking area to sit . Food is delicious but this restaurant have to serve much better bread as they have Michelin BibGourmand award- it was ordinary But all in all, we highly recommend this restaurant even if the prices are a bit high

We dined at Calipso last week. We picked the place because of Michelin recomendation. Well , nothing special about food at all. I can even say many other seafood restaurants you can find better taste. I teally don’t know what is recommended here. Nothing is bad but nothing we ate is special at all.

Wow what an experience! I sampled the whole menu in small portions and Ugur accommodated me incredibly even though I was a single guest. You can see very quickly why they are a Michelin star restaurant with TOP TIER service! Wow again! Keep it up ! Ugur made the experience that much more incredible with a tour of the menu.

Excellent local gourmet food, with English speaking staff to guide you to a memorable Turkish Seafood experience. Calipso is a great restaurant where your menu is the fish that they had brought in that day. To start, select from over 15 meze (they can highlight the in-season choices for you) but save room for the main event - roasted sea bass (branzino) that is super tasty, topped off with grilled onions, potatoes and garlic - pair this with a Turkish white wine, that tasted very close to a Pouilly Fuisse (in my opinion) - and you have a wonderful meal, with excellent and attentive service. Expect to indulge (and pay) more than other local places, but worth the splurge. :-)

Fish was fresh but portion size was too big and ended up wasting ! Place is really nice and clean !

One of the best sea food restaurants in Istanbul on the Asian side. Quality of ingredients, service and presentation is impeccable. We tasted almost everything on the menu. Meze's are beyond perfect. Must try.
