It's nice and small but they do show PPV fights which is a plus. The drinks are affordable, food is good, mellow vibes and friendly faces. They have a jukebox and once in a blue moon they have DJ nights. Came here with my bestie and the homie was welcomed also greeted. Btw, they have one pool table but it's shared with others and whoever name is on the black board goes next.

Was asked to leave by security. It seemed like they were overreacting just to impress the bar girls. I noticed one of them drinking by the door as well. Not a good place especially if they don't know you. I was asked to leave and yet they tried to keep my credit card.

From cashier to cook without proper hand washing. The tacos are bad served you can barely see meat in it .

I've never been to the bar, but the tacos from the little takeout spot are fantastic! My go-to is the gobernadores -- I've been ordering them for years and they've always been consistently delicious. My six-year-old daughter loves the quesabirria and tacos de cabeza. Heads-up: the habanero salsa is lethal -- seriously spicy! The gobernadores are fried, so yes, they're a bit oily, but that's to be expected. If you're not in the mood for fried, the tacos al vapor are a great (and equally tasty) alternative. Just a heads-up: the location is in a slightly sketchy area, so keep that in mind when picking up your order.

Was our go to for vapor tacos when we lived in LB. Hands down the best flavor and price. Usually get them to go as the place is small with a couple of bar stools to sit and eat quickly. The area is a little rough around the edges so use your best discretion. Apparently the owner also owns the club next door. Never been there, it's the tacos for us. Service has always been good. We always eat here whenever we're go to LB!

They only serve beer here and the waitresses are not the nicest ! The music is good! Only cash it's just a simple bar

Tacos Gobernadores are pricey, and they often burn them. $19 per order for burnt tacos? Don't buy them.

Caliz is a great party spot on the weekends (Friday and Saturday). The DJs usually play a combination of current music including Hip Hop, Reggaeton, Dembow, Cumbia and surprisingly, they also play dancehall reggae and afro beat. The best part about the party is that they take requests after 1pm. The drinking environment is amazing because they have plenty of seating plus a full on eating and drinking area with a Digital Karaoke. Usually they have a whole group of Karaoke parties earlier in the night before the DJ goes on. So basically you can eat, drink, and sing - then dance all night. Caliz just opened up their full kitchen so you dont have to bring outside food anymore. The kitchen serves mostly Mexican food and finger food. I only tasted the tacos. They are more like large street tacos. They are definitely good. The bartenders at Caliz are really nice. They tend to pay close attention to you. Also, they actually bring your drinks to your seating with a warm towel. Never seen that before. Its a plus for me. Looks better inside than in the photos. Id recommend giving this location a chance. Its gonna be the type of place that either you like the people and staff because you had a great time or you just rather go to either a franchise place or the over crowded clubs in downtown Long Beach.

I didn't know this bar was here until i tried to order food on the other side. The bar is no nice inside. The bartenders & owner were so welcoming and awesome. This is a hidden gem that i will definitely be going back to.

Bartenders " cici" short dark skin girl had a horrible attitude. She was on her phone the whole time. We barely got any service and when we did she was extremely rude to us and other people at the bar. The place is kept up and lots of screens. It's a shame

this is a fun and friendly mexican sports bar on the west side of long beach. if you make it on friday or saturday you're gonna experience all of the things that make mexican spots so memorable: great music, great drinks, great girls, there's two pool tables and the regulars don't mind putting some friendly money down on games, and the owners are just the coolest people who'll talk to you about anything and make sure your visit starts and ends on a high note. this bar is also cleaner than most, and that includes the bathroom. too many bar bathrooms are just filthy with pee on the floors and everything, but the owners take pride in maintaining a clean spot for customers, so you won't have to worry about that. and there's televisions everywhere playing whatever sport you wanna see. baseball, soccer, basketball, boxing, mma, you name it. they also host big fights whenever they happen on the weekends, both boxing and mma. give this play a visit, especially on the weekends. it's worth it

A hidden gem. Came in to watch football. Plenty of TVs. Staff friendly & prompt. I had the shrimp tacos & horchata pretty good! Will be coming back to watch the sports.

Cali'z is a Great bar and I had a great time. Their bartenders are fun and professional, the DJ always plays the jams and the owner of the bar is a really cool guy.

I like coming here with my friends nice atmosphere. Friendly people. Once in a while mariachi will come in . Great music. I had a michelada with chamoy and Tajín . Good selection of beers on tap. Beautiful ladies as well customers and bartenders .

This is a new bar that's only been open a few months. I went strictly for the UFC fight and paid only $5 cover charge which wasn't bad at all. It's your average basic watering hole with flat screens, pool tables, juke box etc...the area is a lil bit shady but the staff were extremely friendly and kind. They also allow you to bring in outside food and coffee since I did not drink that day. For a good UFC experience I'd recommend it especially for only $5. Might revisit for the next UFC event and bump up to 4 stars...stay tuned

Micheladas are bomb. Cool place to come chill and have a drink. Prices are good. You can play any type of music you want. And karaoke! Good vibes. Oh and you can play pool

Love this place. Great atmosphere and selection of beers. You can get bucket of beer! ;) Pool tables and juke box, they have it all!! They play the fights, gets a little crowded so go early. SOOOO awesome, definitely check them out.
