PASO ROBLES CITY GUIDE

"Caliza is a small, family-owned and operated vineyard and winery located in the coveted Willow Creek district of Paso Robles, California. Our focus is on crafting wines from varietals common to the Rhône Valley of France - Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Viognier, among others. But like many winemakers in Paso Robles, we like to throw a surprise or two in the mix. Our wines reflect what we feel are an excellent example of what the region has to offer – bold, yet elegant wines that drink well today and well into the future."

We had a blast hanging out at Caliza, the wines were lovely! We ordered the cheese plate to accompany the wine and it was tasty. Our Host loved his job he was a true connoisseur of the wines explaining how each of them were made up! Azimuth and Syrah were among my favorites! They had indoor and outdoor seating.

We went to Caliza’s wine dinner. The wines are always top notch but what makes the winery a step above, is the people who work there. There is a feeling of welcome and curiosity about wine.

Our company did a virtual wine tasting with Caliza and it was such an incredible experience! Aside from the wines being delicious, the tasting kits were packaged perfectly and Brandon was so great to work with. I would absolutely use Caliza again for another virtual tasting event, and I would highly recommend them to everyone! I also can't wait to visit the winery at the end of the month!

Caliza Winery is always a first class experience. I'd been to the tasting room numerous times, and the wines and personnel are consistently excellent. After moving across country a year ago, I was missing the chance to visit in person. We arranged a virtual tasting to introduce my East Coast friends to the wines, and it was hosted and run beautifully. Ordering was easy, the shipment was on time and well presented. Our guests were truly wowed with the knowledge, information and the tastes we shared! I highly recommend a winery visit, the wine club, events and now I can also recommend the virtual tastings. Nice job everyone!

Fantastic experience! Caliza was wonderful and professional to work with - I had a somewhat complex request to ship tasting to different addresses for a friend's birthday. They coordinated this with ease. We did a virtual tasting with Brandon which was fun and informative! Best of all -- the wines were exceptional! We'll definitely be ordering more and making Caliza a stop on a future Paso trip!

I hosted a surprise zoom wine tasting party for a friend of mine and it was awesome! Caliza and their sales manager, Brandon, were very easy to work with and responsive. They helped organize our shipments, so they got to our whole group on time. I like that they are willing to host a virtual tasting for 1 to 100 people. Their wine tasting is also reasonably priced and there is an optional cheese pairing (not available in summer). They are a small winery and you can tell they put a lot of thought and care into their wines. I can't wait to go visit their winery in person!

Oh no, I confused the two amazing wineries I visited. This is what I meant to write here: What an experience 🤩 The location is amazing. The wines are absolutely delicious. And the staff is very friendly. I will definitely come back.
